I think mintpal should do a BC/Doge pair to start. Nothing else is needed if thats a success then perhaps adding 1 or 2 other alt/alt  at a time only if they are both high volume.

I wasn't going to raise the question ( which was direct ), but figured why not, it's a public forum, where we can discuss such things. I have no agenda, aside from asking what I considered to be a legitimate question. If I had had an agenda, I would have voiced it over the many weeks I have following and occassionally contributing to this interesting thread. Agendas aren't really my thing.

Maybe I should have phrased my concern differently. The concern is how this looks to those of us who contributed to the PR campaign. That is all.

 I know the idea of getting BC pairs on cryptsy is big right now. Allcrypt jumped at the chance to do this when asked. Maybe taking a look at what pairs might be good there, and trying to add some volume would be a good indicator for other exchanges to follow suit.
 The BC community put up 50BTC in volume on Moolah in around 8 hours so I think it wouldn't be hard to show some support on allcrypt. I know it's hard to get away from the bigger trade volume, but if the volume spreads the price may not be so vulnerable to manipulation.

The card is definately news. Although I have not bought one I can see the advantages of it being part of the BC ecosystem. Having galvanised individuals visibly putting energy into the project is one of the main reasons why I have been very content to hold the coins that I have purchased, through the various stages we have already been through.

But surely, when reading through the release before it went out, you must have wondered whether the question that I raised would appear ? That someone would question why a private enterprise ( that has wider spin-off benefits, granted ), features so prominantly in a release that was funded by contributions ?

What percentage of the Black Coin Card's sales are being ploughed back into the BC project ( I believe you stated previously that this is what is happening ) ? I sent 500BC to help with the cost of this latest PR campaign, and two of the articles focus heavilly on the card.

I heard that some Afro-American communities is going to sue developers of BlackCoin because of the name. So please would you consider changing the name to something else. If this is true it could have bad impact on BlackCoin, and investors will disappear, and than we can say goodbye to 20$ per coin

I have noted there are services that reverse "mistaken" payments using mining pools to force the original transaction to be voided. Here is one example: http://www.bitundo.com There is an obvious risk of spammers using this or more likely a hatchet job of the code to cause havoc.

Nevertheless i like the idea of merging/harmonizing two very sucessful crypto currencies, which i think is (technically) the only way for crypto currencies to achieve mass adoption anyway.

The blast of new coins (good and bad ones) during the last month is not the correct way to go. The next step of evolution is either to

- eliminate all coins beside one through pure mass adoption (like VHS vs. Betamax in the 80s, or Bluray vs HD-DVD)
- or merge coins - like lira, franc, sloty transitioning to €

I know that the different coins are backed by different communities with different sentiments - but in the end all communities (should) have one goal in common: To create a crypto currency which is here to stay.

I still don't get it from an economic point of view, though, you might as well start with the highest volume coins if your goal is volume.

I highly doubt anybody (who hasn't already) is going to be dumping their Mint for BC after what we have seen on the markets lately.. Seriously though, it is an honest question, Mint is not currently one of the highest volume coins on Mintpal so why would you want to pair it with BC if you are looking for more volume?
