1281  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk [SERVER UNDER UPDATES] on: May 15, 2023, 05:12:00 PM
I have always used Greenshot for screenshots and the Imgur function contained in it, in the attachment I have the code for the Imgur Api, do you also have an Api address for your service, so I could change the API address for Greenshot and continue to use the Greenshot programme.

Changing the API credentials might not do the trick. TalkImg and Imgur are completely different platforms with their own unique APIs, and they aren't compatible with each other. While I don't have specific experience with the Greenshot application, I can say that their developers have likely designed the plugin to communicate specifically with Imgur's server, so it is unlikely that it will be compatible with TalkImg's API.

I doubt that any service can withstand a 5x increase in less than 24 hours. I think I even managed to keep everything working minimally despite this.

Yes, it's definitely impressive that you were able to keep up with such rapid growth. Keep up the good work! 👍

I just uploaded the chat log as html file and also as PDF file, so you can choose whatever you prefer.
<cut>

I went through the entire conversation, and all I can say, you gave that kid way too much attention. The only thing that's probably true is that he's from Malaysia, but everything else he said is just a load of BS and a massive exaggeration of his "importance" in the crypto world. Don't waste your time on people like that!

Nice job on exposing him publicly, though. That'll definitely make it harder for him to keep pulling off his little scam of extorting and blackmailing other projects.

But honestly, BitcoinTalk admins NEVER helped us in these 3 years, and now that there is a misunderstanding, they ignore all our efforts and destroy us. While we are the last forces standing on this dirty market and helping people. Undecided

Well, it seems you missed the memo: Bitcointalk admins don't handle every single thing that goes on in the forum. And to think, with your supposed "vast" experience in this field, it's surprising that you didn't already know this.

At the moment you have 5 negative tags, how would it look if you got an offer to get 8+ positive feedback instead of -5 for only $2000?

You can count me in on that action! I want a piece of the pie too! 🤑

Hey joker_josue, I used your tool yesterday for my local board overview, I liked it and I plan to continue to use it going forward. One question though: is it possible for it to automatically reset every time when I click "Upload", instead having to manually click "Reset" when I want to upload more images in a row?

Uploading multiple images in a row is easy! Simply drag and drop all the images at once or use the "browse from your PC" function to select multiple images in one go. Plus, you'll be able to copy-paste all the BBcode in a single step, making the process even more efficient. Hope that helps!
1285  Other / Meta / Re: Imgur images suddenly became invalid? on: May 13, 2023, 10:17:37 AM
This was the main reason for creating the TalkImg service - to stop images broken by third-party services.

That's one hell of a timing!

I was just wondering, what kind of bribe did it take for Imgur to block direct linking from bitcointalk.org IP addresses? Asking for a friend.  Grin

If a government is completely blocking internet and still the user is trying to access it with the help of such connections might be the reason of legal action against the user.
If a government is completely blocking the internet in order to suppress and control its population, then I would haven no issues attempting to bypass those restrictions and fight for my freedom, including the financial freedom that bitcoin brings.

<cut>
Any internet blackout would likely simply prevent access to the outside world, like China or North Korea already do to various degrees. Systems like national banking or emergency response could easily continue to run.

If you're referring to something like China's Great Firewall, then it's more like censorship rather than a complete blackout. In such a case, I agree with you that I would also use all available methods to fight it, and I believe many people in those countries do the same. OK, I'm not so sure about North Korea since I don't know the situation there or how people feel about it.  Wink

I like this idea, it will be a lot of work. however, i have a passion for this industry and I'm happy to do it with a little bit of help from the community here

That's great to hear! And it's nice to see someone passionate about a topic, especially when it can benefit other members of the community. It will be interesting to see the results.

As for the voting process, you can take some guidance from the annual Bitcointalk Community Awards.
1289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Internet is one limitation of bitcoin on: May 12, 2023, 11:42:46 AM
The point is in case of Internet blackout we have no access to bitcoin.

Well, if there's a total internet blackout, I think you'll have bigger things to worry about than not being able to access your Bitcoin.

Basically, every form of internet communication will be disabled, including email, web, online banking, social media, and even communication apps like WhatsApp and many other services. In such a scenario, people would likely turn to alternative means of communication and transactions, such as using cash (in many countries, card payments on POS systems and ATMs may also be affected). Plus, a widespread internet blackout can have far-reaching consequences beyond personal finances and communication. It can potentially disrupt essential services such as emergency response systems, transportation, and logistics, making it difficult for people to access medical care, food, and other essentials. We rely so much on the internet for everything these days, so it's a pretty scary scenario to think about in the modern world.

1291  Economy / Gambling / Re: vbetFTN.com | Leading Online Gambling Operator | 🎰 on: May 12, 2023, 08:14:31 AM
I have never used VPN on my current laptop so I doubt that VPN is the here, I also tried accessing it with my mobile phone to see if I can change the settings from there but it's still the same issue.

here's a screenshot of what I'm referring to:

As you can see the circled part is already set to Albania ( that's how I met it).
And no matter how many times I try to click on it, it won't bring out other options and I'm not from Albania.

I tried to reproduce that bug, but since I didn't have my account on the platform yet, I had to create a new one. From my experience, I haven't had any issues with selecting my country of residence during registration. Perhaps you might have missed that option during your registration process?

Regardless, if vbetFTN doesn't allow users to change their country of residence in their profile after registration, as it seems to be the case here, then I suggest contacting customer support for assistance. They may be able to help you update your country information.
1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: May 12, 2023, 07:53:14 AM
Avoid drugs / drink as much as possible, they will make you loose some control innevitably.

Haha, good one!

Another thing to remember, as some have already mentioned, is to avoid chasing your losses. It's tempting to want to recoup what you've lost, but it can frequently result in more losses. Don't let the moment get the best of you and know when it's time to take a break. And, of course, the most important thing is to make sure to gamble within your means. Many of us had to learn this the hard way, unfortunately.
1293  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🥇BEST CASINO IN 2023 - Community decide🥇 on: May 12, 2023, 07:09:41 AM
now to make it even fairer you also need to vote for the worst casino of the year, of course all those casinos that are on the voting list for the best casino will also be the same ones that will be on the worst casino voting list, the members of forum will choose the worst casino and need to mention why they consider it the worst casino.

An interesting idea! The OP should definitely implement something like that in the voting process. Of course, there may be some concerns about potential manipulation or fake votes for the worst casino category. One way to mitigate this could be to require voters to provide a detailed explanation of why they consider a particular casino to be bad. For example, this could include specific instances of poor customer service, slow withdrawals, unfair practices, or anything else that the users consider important.

Expanding on the idea of voting for the best and the worst casino, OP could create additional categories for voters to choose their favorites. This would provide a more comprehensive and diverse view of what each casino has to offer and could help players make more informed decisions when choosing where to play. For example, we could have categories such as the best bonuses and perks, the casino with the most generous loyalty program, the casino with the widest selection of games, the one with the best customer support, the one that offers the fastest and most efficient deposits and withdrawals, the most innovative casino, etc.

I realize that it may be a considerable amount of work for the OP, I believe that the end result would be worth the effort. By allowing forum members to vote for the best casino in specific categories it would provide a more accurate and detailed representation of each casino's strengths and weaknesses. This would not only benefit the voters but also the casinos themselves by providing valuable feedback on areas they can improve.

So, what do you all think?

A još povrh toga nuditi neregulirani "securities"? To je samo recept za katastrofu, imho. Čak ako se i ne radi o ponzi shemi.
1296  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🥇BEST CASINO IN 2023 - Community decide🥇 on: May 11, 2023, 01:53:52 PM
yes Betcoin.ag is an OG, good choice, will add them

After taking another look at the list of qualifiers, I wanted to suggest a few more casinos to add. These ones have a pretty noticeable presence on the forum or active marketing campaigns going on, so they might be worth considering:

500.casino
8BET.io
BetFury.io
Betnomi.com
Bitcasino.io
BITVEST.io
BK8
Blackjack.fun
Livecasino.io

I don't have any personal preferences among these options, but I think they could be a good addition to the list based on their forum presence.

Also, building on what Lucius just said, if you're going to make a poll, it might be better to let people choose more than one option. But honestly, I'd rather see voting happen through replies in the thread, and maybe limit it to members with a certain rank. That way, you'd cut down on the chance of fake votes or people trying to rig the poll.

In the L2 countries English words are not from origin but study in schools and for personal studies in the English Dictionaries. That is we know most words from secondary sources. So if I have not seen or heard about such words from my end should not be a term of "illiteracy". Learning is continues. I just tap my English Dictionary and saw the meaning of the words under discussion.

I hope you don't take offense, but that's actually the definition of the term:

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/literate

So, if someone uses the term in its proper context, there's no reason to feel offended by it.

Anyway, literacy isn't just about knowing words and there's a whole lot more to it. Plus, I think it's worth noting that Xal0lex threw a wink emoji in there, which usually means he was just messing around and not trying to insult your level of literacy or anything like that. Hope that clears things up! Cheesy

OP, I appreciate your initiative in trying to compile a list of the best casinos, but I have my doubts about whether it is possible to create a completely unbiased and objective list. There are so many factors that can influence someone's opinion, such as personal preferences and experiences. What one person considers to be a "good" casino may not be the same for another, and I doubt that you can find many members (if any) who have experience with ALL casinos. In my opinion, a more appropriate title for your casino list would be "most popular" rather than "best casino". This change would better reflect the content of your list while acknowledging the subjectivity inherent in such rankings.

In addition, I would recommend sorting the list of candidates alphabetically. This would make it easier for readers to navigate the list and avoid duplication of entries. Furthermore, since there may be casinos with similar names, it might be helpful to include their full domain names to minimize confusion.

Finally, I suggest that you limit your list to only those casinos that have a presence on this forum, such as an official ANN thread. Including only such casinos would ensure that you consider only reputable and established platforms that are already well-known and respected within this community.

Automatic withdrawal is disabled. I did not play dice or casino. I do not know what happened. I am waiting for a response from the help center.

It seems that TheQuin hasn't been active on the forum since before your first post, so you'll need to wait until he's online again and can take a closer look at your case.

It's strange that satoshis would just disappear from your balance without a trace. Have you checked your roll history? You can find it on the "MULTIPLY BTC" screen (you have to scroll to the bottom of the page). Also, given the amount you supposedly had in your account, you should have been earning daily interest. Can you check your "RECENT INTEREST PAYMENTS" section on the "EARN BTC" page? It could give you an insight into the time of the last interest payment.

English? From which country that such old words are still used in this present days?

It's worth mentioning that SMF is a really old piece of software, dating back to the last century, or possibly around the turn of the new century, if my memory serves me right.  Wink

No, SMF was already created in the 21st century. If you scroll to the bottom of the forum page, you will see the dates. The year of the first version of SMF software is listed there. The first version of the software was released on December 2, 2006. There is an article on SMF on Wikipedia. You can read it here.

Yeah, I missed it by a few years. I recall playing around with some open-source forum software during that time, and it's possible that I mixed up SMF with phpBB, which was quite popular back then. However, based on the information in the wiki article, the first version of SMF, which was SMF 1.0 Beta 1a, was actually released in September 2003. But you're right, the first stable version, SMF 1.1, was released in 2006.

But it's still a relic of the past - an outdated piece of software that hasn't changed much since then. It's amusing to consider that most of the current members of the BitcoinTalk.org forum weren't even born when SMF first came into being.
