Here is some things you guys can do if you don't like seeing the coin drop to nothing, tear down the sell walls and build up a buy wall. Post about C2 and the game developement everywhere you can. You guys could help with promoting the coin and game, I know of only a small handfull out of the thousand joel gave coins to that are helping to promote Coin2. I was not one of the lucky ones, I bought my first 250, had some donated to me by N3lz0n and a few others, can't remember all of their names, but I'm thankful for that. Honestly I don't care if you run through the streets like some jahovas witness preaching about Coin2 to everyone you see as long as you get word out. Make Videos, Join the IRC for chatting with us. Do something other than come in here complaining cause the price isn't going up. A healthy community gets things done. Joel has alot of big plans, one even bigger than the game. In order for this to happen we have to be a proactive group. You have a crazy idea, just go for it, be spontaneous. My crazy Idea was to make a facebook game at first to try and interest people that way, now look what that has turned into. If you got some idea just do it. Get the coin2 logo tattoo'd on your forehead for all I care if it will help get word out. Coin2 is as much your coin as it is Joel's. Just posting Ideas here is helpful, but posting is one thing, expecting others to do the work is wrong. A betting system where people can place bets on teams/players. Their stats can be used to get odds. Would be nice to see something like this shortly after you launch the game/exchange.
Thats a very good idea, maybe more ideas will be included in future revisions after the game matures enough Indeed. I have put quite a bit of work into this game in the past few weeks. Including sourcing models, map making, designing, and programming its quite a huge task, Not to mention the fact that nowhere is there documentation for doing what we are planning on doing. I'll just go ahead and say this now, as far as maps go, you guys haven't seen the half of what is in store for the future of Coin2 and the First Person Shooter =D For those that don't know me, I'm the character/level designer. Here are some early screenshots of the map I'm working on, only 4 hours in at the time. At this moment, this scene looks very different. I'll see if I can get the Games programmer to come over to the forums and post some stuff though, I'm mid way through download a new program to do character models with, never can have too many programs.. lol.. Shitty internet though comparable to dialup speeds gets old though and is all I have access too, so sometime tomorrow I should be able to get back to work, yay me attempting a 4 gb download on 70kbs speeds.. lol
I have an idea though if anyone is good with web development, why not a second games besides that damn scratch off ticket thing on the faucet site. why not make a roulette wheel or pacman or something in flash??
Do some heavy video editing to run promos, memes is a great idea, ill be releasing another character as soon as joel gives me the go ahead, he knows which one im talking about too, my pride and joy so far.
