It seems Manchester City had let down their guard and allowed Bournemouth penetrate into their box and score a goal. The goal being scored by a very good and strong strike. That would console them after having a somewhat difficult and humiliating game in front of their home fans.

The game being at the 89th is over at this point. I had thought De Bruyne would be brought in to play during the second half but I guess Pep thought he wasn’t needed in this game. He definitely wasn’t needed as Manchester City has crushed Bournemouth and cruised to victory all without him.

Manchester City is going into the half time with a 3 goal lead. The third goal being scored by Foden after a blunder by the Bournemouth defender. Manchester City is sitting on a comfortable 3 goal lead. I wonder if anyone actually thought Bournemouth had a chance of defeating Manchester City.

Manchester city has proved they’re the better squad as they’ve dominated the game from the beginning. With the ball possession and the attempts on goal, it’s no wonder Manchester City is leading with an impressive 3 goals and it’s just the first half.
I wonder during the second half, when they finally bring in the big guns(De Bruyne), how many more goals will Bournemouth concede?

1-0 for arsenal. Arsenal was not playing so bad during this match. It's caused by arsenal is leading the match right now. It's easy money for sure. Arsenal was dominating the ball possessions until second half. It seems like that arsenal will be trying to add more goal again. Arsenal has bigger chance to win now but the worst result gonna be draw against leicester city. Leicester city can do nothing against arsenal. It's only fully defensive waiting for the chance to make counter attack.

Arsenal didn't even let leicester city to touch the ball for long time. Arsenal is above leicester in any aspects during the match.

Arsenal has been so far ahead In the ball possession and it’s only in the second half of the game that we’re now seeing Leicester City have more of the ball. Arsenal is sure trying to add to their tally and defend on the one they’ve got.

The last 20 minutes of the game has so far been physical as there has been a lot of fouls. You could very well say that Arsenal has been better than Leicester City in almost all aspect of the game as they’ve only got very little attempts at goal.
We’ve got an added 5 more minutes into the extra time. Could Leicester City use that time to make a change in the score line?

This game is important, we cannot afford to loose or draw any game at this point hence this game is an all important win for Arsenal. I was happy that Trossard scored but the goal was ruled out. I like Martinelli so much but his recent form even in this game is very bad. Arteta should bring in Nketiah and take Trossard back to the left wing. Also looking at that challenge on Saka, he was clearly pulled down, should have been a penalty. VAR has robbed us again.

Yes, I agree with you on Saka being clearly pulled down inside the box. That in my opinion, is clearly a penalty. But that doesn’t matter as Arsenal has just scored an amazing goal by Martinelli. That was a good goal that was scored nicely but at a cost? He seems to be holding his knee in pain. I think he may have twisted his knee. I hope he’s okay.
Arsenal has gotten off to a great start and is now in the lead. A very nice finish and a great goal.

It’s now the half time of the game between Leicester City and Arsenal and neither side has opened the scoring as both teams are still at a draw with no goals. I had thought Arsenal would score and get ahead in this first half cause of the way they’ve been playing so far which has been good. Leicester hasn’t been playing that well as they haven’t got an attempt at goal so far.

Arsenal still has a good chance of winning this game at the end of the final whistle if they don’t relent on the way they’ve been playing. Leicester has tried in holding the league leaders to a a draw. We would see what the second half has to offer.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 25, 2023, 03:34:00 PM
That was a bummer. The beautiful goal scored was just disallowed after the referee went over to review the possible foul.
I thought that was a beautiful strike and a beautiful goal at the top corner. Arsenal has so far dominated the first half of the game with more attempts on goal than Leicester City. And I think it’s only a matter of time, Arsenal might score a goal this first half. I think this game would go into first half with Arsenal leading perhaps by a goal. And with Arsenal current performance, they may end up winning the game.

Mikel Arteta is doing well for the Arsenal, winning league games, and Pep Guardiola is his main obstacle. It will not be an easy challenge to carry the title to the emirate stadium, therefore Mikel Arteta's team needs to be well prepared for the elite competition heading their way. Yet, given their recent performance, I'm worried that they might have lost the title fight to Manchester City. We all believed it was a joke when Arsenal originally topped the English Premier League table early in the season, but as of right now, it's not longer a joke, rather a serious mission to be accomplished for arsenal.

A lot of people did not really think Arsenal would stay this long at the top of the league. I guess everyone underestimated Arsenal up until this point and that’s why i think it has been surprising for some to see Arsenal at the top. Arteta has given the club a face lift this season as they’ve been playing really good and still very much in the fight to win the premier league.
For Arsenal, there is still a lot to be done to do away with immediate threats like Manchester City. They shouldn’t relax for a second if they want to remain in the fight.

I also think that Manchester United is the favorite in this matchup today against FC Barcelona. The match last week in Barcelona was totally open and both teams were at the same performance level back then but today it should be different. As you have already said, Barca is missing a few important players today and in addition to that ManU is playing at home today, so two big reasons that are definitely favoring ManU today.
If Barca would really go out again in the first round of the knockout stages then this would be a really big disappointment for them. They desperately need the money from the Europa League because they have such huge debts.

In my opinion, the game could very well go either way as Barcelona is a no pushover also. Manchester United may seem like the favorite cause of how they’re playing very well in their recent games.
I think Barcelona, missing some players won’t actually cause the squad from playing as good as they normally play. Besides with Lewandoski around, Barcelona still poses a huge threat. Manchester United playing at home could be considered a plus on their side, I personally wouldn’t consider that fact when playing with a team like Barcelona.

I think Asernal have a better chance to finish the season on the top leaders board and even though Manchester city is the defending champions it doesn't make any difference but since luck and chances have placed Asernal at the top of the league table twice.

-this goes along way to show how Asernal have been struggling and luck brought them to the limelight again for the second time.

I wouldn’t exactly say it’s luck that had carried and placed them at the top of the league table. They had worked extremely hard for where they’re now. And with their recent performances, they still have a good shot at winning the league and if they do, they damn well deserve it.

While Arsenal may have at one time been struggling, they sure ain’t struggling now and it’s hard work and not luck that has brought them to where they’re currently at now.

yup, on several occasions Ronaldo seemed to have no respect for Ten Haag, MU's failure at that time was considered because of Ten Hag. but MU has now managed to improve their performance, which means Ten Hag has the ability, it's just Ronaldo is too arrogant to blame Ten Hag for MU's poor performance at the beginning of Ten Hag's coaching MU.

I don’t think anyone considered the then poor performance of Manchester United to be the fault of Ten Hag. If I remember correctly, Manchester United was going through a bad spell before the arrival of Ten Hag. And now, Manchester United is doing very well. I think we could attribute some of that success to Ten Hag.

Ronaldo was a very good and talented player and even now that he’s a bit advanced in age, he’s still very much active and doing well. I just want to point out that all players, no matter how superb the person is, is subject to approval for game time from the coach. If the coach doesn’t need you, he just doesn’t need you.

Real Madrid came back from 2-0 down, to beat Liverpool 5-2 following the first leg of the UCL match. They should be trusted until the final whistle. Thus, Real Madrid acted like they're used to do. There was a thought that Liverpool would take back all the goals they had received from Real Madrid previously, but we see how things turned out. With the win at Anfield, Real Madrid advances to the UCL quarterfinals. They're on their way to retaining the UCL trophy.

I think that was also a great comeback from Real Madrid. But it’s Real Madrid! That’s what they do. Despite being down by two goals just in the first half, they didn’t relent and went ahead to win the game comfortably. There’s the  distinction between the domestic league and the champions league.
Liverpool’s flame was quickly extinguished. Personally, I don’t see Liverpool winning the game in the second leg of the game. Liverpool could hold Real Madrid to a draw. And I don’t think a lot of goals would be scored like in the first leg.

Good news for Chelsea fans as Kante gets set to return from his injury spell. The issue now is that he will be faced with contract talks which might either see him extending his contract or leaving.
Graham Potter has this on his hands to try fit Kante into his play plan. Where he doesn't find any good use for Kante, will he sell him?
Unless the management wants to replace Graham, I don't see why he shouldn't be allowed to stay till seasons end to properly access his ability and technic of managing the team.

Good news indeed. I’m pretty sure Chelsea fans everywhere would be thrilled with this new development. I think Kante coming back from his injury would probably have a ripple effect on the rest of the team as he does have that effect on the gameplay of the team.
The morale of the squad would probably and hopefully be increased and they could once again go back to scoring goals and winning games.

Potter just has to find a place for Kante and should include him in his plans for the team. Kante is a valuable asset to the club and the sooner Potter knows that, the better.

I think, the change of the owner of Chelsea is were the challenges is coming from in this season because when the formal Chelsea president was still controlling Chelsea, I don't think he will allow this current coach to spend long time with the team before he will replace him with a talented coach. Chelsea performance in this tournament is very low which the management need to do something so that they can make their fans happy and to have hope that they can still recover from their losses in their remaining matches. I believe, Chelsea president will act fast to solve this problem so that he will not regret for the money he spend to be the owner of Chelsea.

I bet Potter would have been described as talented before they had brought him on. There may very well be a management problem cause they’ve got talented players on its squad. They do need to make their fans happy as the fans are the life of the club. I don’t really see them making any comeback this season as it’s looking highly unlikely.
I think they should really act fast cause they had really spent a whole lot of money to get some fine players that’s currently on the squad. I also think if Potter should be given a bit of more time to try and get his act together.

Anybody who has been following the Liverpool and Real Madrid match would know that they deserve to lose this match. My yesterday's post angered several people when I predicted that Liverpool will lose to Real Madrid, and I simply had to giggle since from their answers it was all emotional to me. The second leg will be a fire that Liverpool may not be able to hold because of today's result. In fact, Liverpool should have maintained that 2-0 lead they had as an opportunity to play the rest of the game as a defensive match, but they were totally ignorant that Madrid was this ready to squash them at every slide.

The second leg of the game is the game to look out for now. It would be a pretty interesting and difficult match for Liverpool as they would be trying so hard to cover up the goals that they had conceded. They had started this first leg with so much confidence and energy, scoring two early goals in the process. If only they could have held them till perhaps the half time, they could regroup, re-strategize and might have actually won the game. I noticed they had some ball possession but couldn’t find the back of the net. I don’t want to think that they had underestimated Real Madrid cause obviously, Madrid is a formidable team. Great game for Real Madrid and a very good win.

I would say the game is pretty much over and the game won by Real Madrid. The score line now stands at Liverpool 2 to Real Madrid 5 and going into the 86th minute.  I think Real Madrid is the better team as they’ve utilized their chances and despite being two goals down initially, they pressed on, equalized on the goals and are now leading them by 3 goals. I would say that’s pretty impressive. Liverpool is at this moment being owned and I can almost feel sorry for them losing at such a margin and on your home ground too. It can’t get any worse than this. Or can it?
1296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 21, 2023, 09:26:34 PM
I remember Chelsea playing really well at the beginning of the season before they started to struggle despite having all the players they needed to succeed; so, I'm still wondering if Potter is the issue with Chelsea. It's been a very competitive season, and with Chelsea only having 39 points them drawing three games while losing one and winning one, I'm rooting for Arsenal to win the trophy this season.

Chelsea had a really good start playing well at the early stages of the season. It’s a wonder on how they started gradually declining down the league table despite having some players that are really good and capable of scoring goals. In my opinion, It now falls down to the tactics used during gameplay and that is where the coach comes in. I wouldn’t exactly put much blame on Potter cause he can be considered to be fairly new on the job and would perhaps need some more time. But it’s a a competitive season and the cries of the fans must be met.
1297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 21, 2023, 06:44:53 PM
I know Chelsea fans really hope Potter gets sacked, but don't they think Potter is just starting his first season at Chelsea?
Potter has struggled to find form from his players but he is expected to turn it around for the better in the remainder of the season. I actually asked why he wasn't fired immediately, but in the end there is a lot to consider before making decision. But I think the situation at Chelsea is like a ticking time bomb that is about to explode.

Exactly my thoughts as well. There have been a lot of cries for the sack and removal of Potter. Admittedly, the cries for his removal is somewhat understandable given the circumstances and poor and performance. Chelsea has been under a bad spell at the moment and a lot of fans think that the sack of Potter would do the job.
It isn’t an easy task for a manager as well. Having been given the job last September, it would be nice if he’s given some time fully get in sync with the team. Besides, there is a lot to consider when letting go of a coach and searching for a new one.
1298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there age limits to Bitcoin investment? on: February 21, 2023, 06:31:27 PM
There isn’t any age limits to having some bitcoin investments. Anyone could acquire to either hold or invest in bitcoin at any time. Bitcoin is all-encompassing.
I think it’s almost the same like having banks accounts with some fiat savings for your toddler kids. You as the parent is merely thinking of and planning ahead of the kids finances from an early stage which in theory is a good idea.
So with bitcoin, it’s open to everyone. Including kids if they’re up for it.
1299  Economy / Economics / Re: To cut financial ties with original family benefits you in the long run on: February 21, 2023, 11:43:06 AM
It's good to be financially independent as much as possible, but there can always be hard times around the corner. What if we become sick, get fried from our job, or face a lot of maintenance repairs in our apartment? From my point of view family is there to help each other in times of need. This doesn't mean that we should always rely on our parents to provide for us, but if we really need the help they will be there. Only when I got older I realised how hard the life for my parents was and they needed a lot of help from my grand parents. Without their support we could have never went on summer vacation, or get Christmas gifts. So if things are getting bad I am glad I can get at least some help from my parents. Who else would be there for us if we really need it?

It’s not just good to be financially independent, it feels great also. Of course there would always be problems that would pop up here and there, but you don’t need to fall back to your parents or family for help. That’s what being financially independent is all about.
Parents also need money themselves and also need to be taken care of more. They definitely need money to relax more in their retirement and not having to bail out their kids whoever they come crying.

I also think if someone is having a difficult financial situation, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to cut costs and put a pause on summer vacations.

[snip]
NoteNo one can stop its adoption
Let us not lie to ourselves about no one can stop Bitcoin adoption. The only reason why Bitcoin adoption is increasing and still doing well in the market is that the governments somehow supported it.
If the whole government of the world wages wars against the use, investment, and mining of Bitcoin worldwide there's a high chance that Bitcoin can be stopped. This is the reason why some crypto enthusiasts once were working on having land/environment that will be only for the crypto enthusiast.

I think the reason why bitcoin is still increasing and growing stronger isn’t the government. Rather it’s the people. The people that adapt and use bitcoin are the only reason why bitcoin is increasing in popularity and getting adopted on a daily basis.

The government were all against bitcoin in its early years and discouraged their citizens from using it. So they didn’t somehow support it. I think they’ve envisaged the future and they see bitcoin in it so they’ve decided to tag along rather unwillingly. Lest we forget, the government is only there cause of the people. If the people decide to use bitcoin, can the government actually fight the people? No they can’t.
