It is still a good result since they played away, the second leg will be in Manchester city home which will be an advantage for city to win the match. I hope they can win so that they can qualify to the next stage. It is a pity that no English club won their match in UCL. If Leipzig wins city,then Manchester city will have no option than to come and take over the first position from Arsenal.

I'm surprised that no English club won their 1st round of the UCL knockouts stage. Because yesterday's game against Leipzig was really tough, I'm proud of Man City for fighting. It's clear to me that Man City will play a different game in the second leg. As I can guess, this time around, there will be no English club make the UCL final besides Man City. It's unfortunate that only Liverpool were beaten at home. As a result, English clubs are surprising us.

It shouldn't be a surprise to you because it is the reflection of their performance in the English Premier League. This is quite unfortunate because the EPL have always been a strong and competitive League but most top teams seems to be struggling. For this season apart from Arsenal and maybe Newcastle United other teams are just struggling to play up to expectation.
Manchester City might qualify for the next round of the Champions League because they played very well against Leipzig and got a draw. But I doubt the abilities of Chelsea and Liverpool to overtime their losses and qualify for the quarter finals. Both teams have been performing poorly in the EPL and they have been struggling to win matches against lowly rated side. Liverpool's team seems to have lost its attacking prowess after the sell of Mane, while Chelsea is struggling to blend it's harvest of top class stars and to cope with it's management change

Manchester City are disliked because they are funded by immoral owners who have exploited the oil industry and ravaged countries that is why people do not like them. They have some of the best players in the world but they are not a team with a lot of history only in recent years they have appeared and that is because they were overtaken by their current owners who have invested billions in the team. Some people do not like the ethics of the owners but I think a lot of people are jealous of the investment that they get. I think they do spoil the Premier League because they have infinite money and are under investigation by the Premier League because they reported the wrong fiances for a long time.

They have good players and I like a lot of their players I would not care if any of them wanted to come to my teams I have nothing against them I just do not like how Manchester City run their team.

The problem that faced by arsenal in the previous season has been appearing against since the club started to become inconsistent at the end of season. So many people have been also moniroting the performance from arsenal. Even these people were also comparing the performance from this season with old season. Arsenal was always leading the standing from early until mid of season but the common problem of arsenal was starting to come when it was coming to the end of season.

Inconsistency is an old Arsenal disease that is now starting to recur and that is why there are still many who doubt Arsenal can win this season even though they are in the lead, after successfully leaving Manchester City with a large enough point difference, now Arsenal are starting to get strong pressure after the guardiola squad managed to cut the difference in points is two, there are still many strong opponents of course it will allow Arsenal to slip in a few matches later, apart from that there is still a match between Manchester city vs Arsenal, which makes Manchester City chances even greater to win the championship this season than Arsenal.

Arsenal have performed brilliantly this season.  So far they have maintained this performance. If we look at Arsenal's last match  against Aston Villa then we can see that Arsenal were excellent against Aston Villa. In the last match they beat Aston Villa 4-2. Arsenal is a very favorite team in terms of counter attack. However, although Arsenal is a favorite team in the English Premier League, they are currently not playing very well at the defense level. They proved in the last match that they have a weakness in defence. Arsenal have retained their position at number one in the English Premier League so far. And Manchester City is in the second position of the points table with only 2 points less. So if Arsenal do not perform well in the upcoming matches then they may lose their number one ranking position.

Arsenal have to work a little harder to secure or move away from Man City, Arsenal we know are only 2 points away from Man City, seeing from the last 5 matches Arsenal have not been very consistent from their last 5 matches, they even lost to Man City a few weeks ago, which made them just 2 points apart from Man City, of course this will be Homework for Mikel Arteta, to build enthusiasm for Arsenal to win the League this season, it's not easy but Arsenal must be able to win the next game against Leicester, if no then Arsenal will be displaced by Man City for a while..

So far, Arsenal have appeared quite impressive. unfortunately in the last few matches, Arsenal lost momentum and were unable to get maximum points. in particular, against City. it seems, the mentality of the young Gunners squad is a little disturbed and they play under pressure. fortunately, the Gunners' young squad managed to get back to winning ways after successfully overthrowing Aston Villa with a landslide score. at least, now Arsenal are back to the top of the standings which previously had been seized by Manchester City.

I think Asernal have a better chance to finish the season on the top leaders board and even though Manchester city is the defending champions it doesn't make any difference but since luck and chances have placed Asernal at the top of the league table twice.

I wouldn’t exactly say it’s luck that had carried and placed them at the top of the league table. They had worked extremely hard for where they’re now. And with their recent performances, they still have a good shot at winning the league and if they do, they damn well deserve it.

Consistency between the two teams will be a consideration
Tottenham have been much more consistent than Chelsea this season, the problem in the Chelsea squad has not fully recover, it will be a big challenge for coach Graham Potter because the team they will face has the quality of the game above them.

The absence of players like Ngolo Kante, Kovacic and Zakaria hasn't helped players like Enzo Fenandez attacking and making much advances, with Kante back training I see he will give confidence to Enzo Fenandez to press higher while he covers a lot of space and pitch for him. The last games has seen both Loftus Cheek and Callagher failing to do that.
I don't know how the squad would be rotated but the need for rotation needs to be enforced especially against Tottenham Hotspur which is also a London derby.

Yes Tottenham are not so fine but they don't take chances, believe me Chelsea would get the first win from them after all of these woes and faluires.

Chelsea and Tottenham are too very inconsistent teams, the game will be more important to Tottenham because they are still among the teams that still have a chance to qualify for the champions league next season. They will win Chelsea just as did to Manchester City.

The game of importance to me this coming weekend is Arsenal's game against Leicester when we visit King Power stadium. Above everything else, I wish that we win that game and maintain our spot at the top of the table ahead of Manchester City with our one game advantage. Manchester City will be playing AFC Bournemouth, that game will be walk over for them, the gunners do not need to loose focus.

I am predicting Chelsea to win this match because Chelsea has a consistent winning record over Tottenham and I don't think it's going to change on Sunday, though Chelsea had been on a poor run in their previous matches, however they are playing well but not scoring goals I am optimistic that Graham Potter will work on his team attack, though Tottenham had up there game in their previous matches courtesy of good form of the duo of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, however I don't think they will able to match the firepower and array of stars in Chelsea squad.

There is a lot at stake for Chelsea and especially for their coach Graham Potter in this game because Chelsea is currently ranked 10th in the Premier League and they did not perform well in the first half of the season, which made the fans unhappy and they complained about Potter and the possibility of firing him at any time. Tottenham has got 42 points and they need 12 points in order to reach the top of the table.

Mikel Arteta is doing well for the Arsenal, winning league games, and Pep Guardiola is his main obstacle. It will not be an easy challenge to carry the title to the emirate stadium, therefore Mikel Arteta's team needs to be well prepared for the elite competition heading their way. Yet, given their recent performance, I'm worried that they might have lost the title fight to Manchester City. We all believed it was a joke when Arsenal originally topped the English Premier League table early in the season, but as of right now, it's not longer a joke, rather a serious mission to be accomplished for arsenal.

Of all the Premier League teams, only Manchester City have not lost in the first leg of the Champions League. While Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham lost their respective match, and this is ubbelieveble. I didn't think it was true, but it's a fact.

3 Serie A teams each winning their respective match, that is incredible. But there must be a lot that changes in the second leg so that the victory in the first leg that is obtained does not guarantee that they will easily qualify for the quarter-finals. However, not with Real Madrid who have won 2-5 at Liverpool. Real Madrid are almost certain to qualify if they don't make mistakes, and I'm pretty sure they will.
