1281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not keeping records makes me a bad gambler? on: November 20, 2023, 02:00:34 PM
For me, It's not that important if you track all your records in gambling or not. I'm aware that it will be helpful for some gamblers because they can monitor their total spending amounts most specially if they know their limits and needs to control their money to avoid losing much  but for other gamblers who used to gamble and majority of the time they played is all about losing, It will be a bit frustrating because it reminds them of things that should be forgotten and never looked back on.
Of course, this will make them frustrated with the losses they have experienced, especially if the losses were very large. But they only feel this frustration for a short time because when they return to gambling again, they will not feel frustrated but will try to recover their losses. Having financial records about their gambling can actually help them to see how much money they are using for gambling so they can start reducing their gambling activities. But what happens is that there are still many gamblers who don't pay attention to this and instead gamble more often because they have the hope of recovering their losses. This is where they really need to realize that by recording their gambling activities and seeing how many deposits and withdrawals they make, they can conclude that gambling is not suitable for them. They don't need to gamble too often.
1282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: November 20, 2023, 12:57:28 PM
~snip~
And depending on where this happened it could take a very long time for that person to find another job, as there are places in which you could spend months or even a whole year without a job before finding new one, so even if a person does not really like their job they need to do everything they can to keep it, since there are still many countries which have not recovered from the economic crisis brought by the pandemic, and they cannot allow themselves to be fired over something they should not be doing on the first place.
Yes, that is true, but they should not give up in order to get a job. And when they get a job, they have to look after it well so that they can continue to work there and earn an income like other employees. They should not waste their work by using their time to do other things, not even to gamble, because that will put them at risk of being fired from their workplace. And if they don't really like their job, they should be able to survive and try to find another job. Before they get another job, they have to try to restrain themselves and keep giving good performance so that when they get a new job, they will be given the option to stay in their old job but will get a higher salary than before.

~snip~
Yes that's right, sooner or later they will get into trouble in their office if they gamble during working hours or in their work environment, and this will also be fatal, where they can be fired dishonorably because what they do is wrong. It is likely that the work they have to do will be disrupted by the gambling they do, because gambling can spend a long time without them realizing it. But it is reasonable for the employer to fire them dishonorably or without a warning letter because it is true that gambling cannot be tolerated and it is also unethical to do it in a work environment.
As you said they do gambling in the work environment maybe they are bored with their work so they do things that are against their work even though it is risky. whereas they can play other online games besides gambling, although it is still wrong to play games in the work environment at least other online games that do not use money will not be as bad as gambling.
Before this problem arises, they should be aware of it and try to control themselves from gambling in their office. Instead of getting fired from their office, they should stay focused on their work and try to do their best so that their boss can see that they are really good workers and their boss may promote them to a higher position. But if they don't want to understand their position at work and continue gambling in secret, one day, someone will definitely see them. If the person who sees them is their boss, they won't be able to defend themselves because they have been proven guilty of breaking the rules of their office. And it won't take long for their boss to fire them, which could cause them to lose his job and of course, also lose his salary, which can help them survive.

Actually, if they are bored with their work, they can take time off so that in a month, they can leave their work to refresh themselves. But his boss probably won't want to know because it is a risk at work, and all his employees experience it too. Actually, it's a matter of how someone can manage their time when they come home from the office. Some people are not affected by the harsh atmosphere at work because they have been able to prove that they are able to compete with other employees and can even show that they can really do their job well.
1283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Health Benefits of Gambling on: November 20, 2023, 12:38:56 PM
Gamblers should know their limits not only when it comes to the money and the time they are willing to dedicate to their gambling hobby, but they also need to know the limits of their bodies.

Someone that is that frail to the point they are risking their health by just gambling has not business gambling at all, and instead they should dedicate their time to improve their health and find other hobbies which do not put it at risk.
They should be able to control themselves so that they are not triggered to spend more money and spend more time gambling. But the problem is that there are still many people who gamble without knowing the limits, either how much money they can use or how long they should gamble. Once they get pleasure from gambling, they will continue to gamble, and it is difficult to stop them from gambling.

This can cause health problems, especially in the eyes, because if they play online gambling, they will see using their eyes. It will make their eyes sore and irritated, which will make their eyes tired. This must be addressed immediately because it is an alarm given by the body that they must stop immediately. There are many other things related to health that must be considered so that you don't experience health problems.
1284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer wins seem too good on: November 20, 2023, 12:16:19 PM

Yeah, but there could be gamblers though that might be swayed and think that they can duplicate the winnings? I remember one thread about it, when someone after watching a stream, decided to try and play the same games and win big. But I do agree that majority of the wins are sometimes look too good to be true, and we don't know if it is rigged or something or the games is very adjusted by the casino themselves to make the win of the streamers or at least his chance to win is huge as compare to the real game wherein it's hard to get a bonus round regardless of what slot games it is. Because we all know what the RTP % is, and obviously, every game is based on pure luck. But if you look at those streamers, it looks like they are very lucky with that casino? So that is something for us to think about when we watch this games even if it is live.
Yes, there are definitely viewers who are triggered to play slots after they watch the streamer play their favorite slot. Yes, I also read the thread, and he was really lucky to get a big win. Something very rare for many other gamblers is that they decide to play the same slot as the streamer and can win big. We only know that the streamer was really lucky to get a big win, but we don't know what is really behind the slot game. We won't be able to know the truth because we have nothing to do with the streamer. And I agree that slot games require luck, which we have to have so we can win. And depending on whether small or big luck will determine our victory. We also don't need to be triggered by the streamer who managed to win the slot game because each of us has different luck.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When does the moment come when the gambler loses control? on: November 20, 2023, 11:45:58 AM
It is a normal if there are thoughts from gamblers who want to continue gambling whatever the results they have experienced. They just want to continue gambling because they have found joy in gambling. But they have to be careful because if they have the desire to continue gambling even though they have won, that means greed has come to them, and they have to be able to control themselves so they don't follow their desires. But if they have lost and want to recover their losses, it is also because of their desire not to be able to accept their defeat. Everything can trigger a gambling addiction, and usually, gamblers do not admit this and think that they can still control themselves well while gambling.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: November 20, 2023, 11:21:14 AM
~snip~
It's actually not an easy task to make a gambler quit his gambling activities especially the addicted gamblers because not matter how you try to make them see reasons why they should stop gambling, they'll still want to gamble more. I've seen a gambler who was sent to the rehabilitation center before but still went back to gambling immediately he regained freedom from the rehab he was sent to.
Now that's why I think it's more necessary to convince  addicted gambleyr to accept that their addiction isn't good and would be very detrimental to their future. Make them see enough reasons to understand that gambling isn't good for them, accept to do away with gambling before sending them to a rehab facility to finally talk them out of gambling while engaging in other more meaningful things that'll help them forget about gambling
If gambling addicts are not aware that they have a gambling addiction that is endangering their lives, they may still return to gambling as usual. There is a possibility that they will gamble more often than usual. But if they are willing to think that what they are doing in gambling has made their lives a mess and are willing to accept that they are addicted to gambling, maybe it won't be too difficult to get them to a rehabilitation center or at least make them want to start doing something that can reduce the level of his gambling addiction. If they can accept and are willing to accept the invitation to change their gambling habits, maybe they don't need to go to a rehabilitation center and just make changes in their life to cure their gambling addiction. But it still requires hard work from the gambling addict and the people who will help him because the temptation of gambling can make him return to gambling again. But if not, the people who help him can advise him to go to a rehabilitation center to get the right treatment for him so that he can immediately do the necessary things to cure his gambling addiction.
1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you guys believe in other people luck and try to copy them? on: November 20, 2023, 10:48:39 AM
~snip~
That is true, it will not improved, it will still be based on our own luck, it by chance you win, then it's just a coincidence, nothing more. So it's not practical to think and copy others luck.
So that's when we really gamble by hoping for luck to win. And if we win, it's just a lucky coincidence. And that might lead us to place a bet by copying that person's bet. When we get what we feel is suitable, we tend to follow it unconditionally.

~snip~
It might be for the case for beginner, but after that they shouldn't rely on others. They should do their own analysis of let's say sports betting and it's going to be good for them in the long run. Lol, even in school it is frown upon to copy the answer of our seat mate. So this is also true in gambling, you learn nothing from copying other bet. Build your own analysis slowly and it will surely payoffs in the future because you might hit a good win.
Beginners should start learning analytical skills so they don't depend on other people. Other people can not always win with their analysis, and when we depend on that person, we may give up our money on that person to win. That is why we need to learn analysis in sports betting so that we can improve our analytical skills. And that's what can make someone a pro in sports betting.
1288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A tip for staying resposible while gambling. on: November 20, 2023, 10:25:33 AM
it may be helpful for some but others may ignore that statement because we are all aware that every person has a different ways on how to be responsible on their own. As a gambler, It's a must to know that once you enter in a casino or once you are gambling thru online, possibilites are about winnings and losing only so it is better to gamble or use an amount of money that you are afford to lose only.
If more gamblers could be responsible for their gambling activities, we might not see so many gambling addicts who are already addicted to gambling. That's why learning responsibility has something to do with self-control when gambling: so that we can really take care of ourselves and not experience more losses. No one else will pay attention to how much we have gambled, but we must pay attention to how much money we have used to gamble so that if we have gambled enough, we must immediately stop gambling. When playing gambling, we are faced with winning and losing situations where we have more chances of losing than winning. Only people who have skill and luck can achieve victory, while others only experience loss. But if we only use gambling as entertainment, we can prevent losing a lot by stopping gambling and getting out of the casino before things get worse.
1289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I've learned so far as a gambler on: November 20, 2023, 10:08:39 AM

If you are person whose really that not good on controlling your emotion and mind then it would really be that a big problem or a huge one which it would causes up some disaster on the time that you would really be putting yourself on such difficult situation on which it is really just that right that we should really be that careful on making up such decision. Learning isnt necessary considering that gambling is really just that good for fun but if you are already that making it as a source of income then this is where problem do exist or happens.
You would eventually learn up things according on what you do experience, if you are that really having that kind of impulsive emotion then it is really just
that right that you should really be having a good control of it.
That is why we have to learn how to control our emotions and thoughts so that we can position ourselves well when playing gambling, especially in gambling games, we will encounter more temptations that might make us influenced by what we see. Most people are tempted to try gambling without learning self-control, so they are the ones who get trapped in gambling games until they can't get out of gambling easily. We must remember that gambling is entertainment that uses money, and we also don't need to use a lot of money to gamble. Casinos do not force us to gamble with a lot of money, but it is our greed that tells us to continue playing without stopping because we do not have good self-control, which can prevent us from continuing to play. But if we have self-control, we will not be influenced by greed, and we can even know that we have had enough gambling and it is time to stop gambling and take a break.

You are watching streamers just like how it was intended which is correct way of doing it. Many people are doubtful because they are venting their stress on their personal losses to streamers that winning and called it unfair while this streamers lose a lot too probably not recorded.

Streamers should be watch for entertainment purposes only and not a role model on gambling because everyone has different result due to luck is random same with the slot games result.
That's why when we watch streamers playing slots, we don't need to take it too seriously. Anything can happen, including what we will experience in gambling games. We can't hope too much to get a big win like the streamer experienced. We are different from those streamers in that we also need to control spending money on gambling. Moreover, we also don't know whether the money used by the streamer is his own money or the money given by the casino so he can make videos of his slot games to attract people to visit his casino.

Yes, agree with you to just watch the streamer without any feelings. We just need to enjoy the slot game without being affected. If other people are affected, let them be because we have to be responsible with the money we use for gambling.
1291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I've learned so far as a gambler on: November 19, 2023, 11:46:10 PM
As gamblers if we don't let the game take control of us we won't be carried away to still stay and gamble despite after having a win that has multiplied our money. If we all can exercise the hit and run approach as gamblers the issue of losses will be a thing of the past but a lot of gambler get greed with each winning they want another, and then another, forgetting that luck is not constant and with each chance you have it at your side you gat to use the hit and run approach because you can't win all the money you're aiming for  in one day.
But what happens is that people let gambling games dominate their minds, and it makes them return to gambling more often than before. They forget the self-control they have exercised and do not realize that they have lost that self-control. They just want to recover the losses they have made from gambling or win another big win even though they have already had that big win before. They also don't realize that they need to rest first before they continue gambling again. As gamblers, we can learn from other people's experiences, which can increase our insight into controlling ourselves so that we don't get involved in gambling because only we can restore our awareness that gambling is just entertainment.
1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: November 19, 2023, 11:18:22 PM
I don't lose often but I can explain their motivation. They lost so much that they feel like this can't go on forever, just like if you get fired from a job, you look for another one, get fired, but that doesn't stop you. You want to keep going because there's a chance that next one is going to be great.
It's the same with women. You get rejected, but you keep going, they can't all keep rejecting you forever, right? .... RIGHT? Cheesy
Most people who get into a streak also don't resign thinking this has to end and turn around.
What you said is true. It's like an addiction for those who don't want to give up. But this is different because they are dealing with gambling, where when they are addicted to gambling, it will be very dangerous for them. After all, they will use all their money to fulfil their ego's desires. They will not want to reduce their gambling activities because they are already addicted to gambling, even though they already know that they are addicted to gambling. Their lack of recognition from others makes it difficult for others to help them. Maybe they only need to wait for something big and bad to happen to them before they can truly realize that they have gone too deep into gambling and have even become addicted to gambling.

Being open is not that easy but I agree that if they will tell the truth and ask for a help, I’m sure your family can help you and even the community might find a way to help you recover. Let’s also avoid to criticized those gamblers who become addict, we should help them instead because their life is at risk and we might lose them without even trying to help them. Being addict is not easy, and if you are already in this situation better to start seeking help and start your recovery.
At least, being open to a few people about his gambling addiction can give him hope that he can find the solution he should use. He can ask for help from other people to help him find the right solution so that he can reduce his gambling activities first or immediately cure his gambling addiction if he already has a gambling addiction. Some suggested and took him to a community that had successfully cured him of gambling addiction so that he could learn from them and get his motivation from the experiences they shared. By paying attention to the progress of those who are trying to cure themselves of gambling addiction, enthusiasm will begin to grow within them so that they will not experience difficulty in undergoing any therapy process.
1294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Casinos with Online and Offline version, Are they the same? on: November 19, 2023, 10:31:00 PM
If you have the option and are involved in frequent and substantial financial transactions, offline casinos might be a more suitable choice. For online casinos, the selection of the platform is crucial. In most online platforms, you might find that there are no limits to how much you can lose, but winning even slightly more can bring about various issues and obstacles
There might be a big reason why the site is different when its offline and I’m wondering how can you gamble with crypto in an offline set-up but if its a physical casinos then it make sense to me. Offline casinos are also not safe from any scams so make sure you are dealing with the best option to gamble. There might be no limit in winning and losing money but then again, you should always gamble within your own limit to avoid further losses and being broke.
That may be because there are regulations in each place, which means that offline casinos must always follow and comply with the regulations made by the regulator. If the casino doesn't do so, regulators can punish it with huge penalties or fines. Meanwhile, for online, the settings may depend on where they register their domain name. There may be many other reasons that we don't know for sure, especially since they won't reveal it to the public because it is part of the company's secrets. With such things, people who switch from offline casinos to online casinos will still see the online casino as a trusted casino because the casino has already gained popularity offline. Meanwhile, the online presence gets the record of being a shady casino.

The issue is mainly recurrent issues, like being left behind as kids, not being attended to when they wanted something as a child. If they can be turned to believe that they're good enough, showing them, their idea matters etc. The gambler's sense of good humor will be restored. These are the few things that makes therapy easy for both the client and the therapist. In the sense that if the gambler who wants to quit is not allowed to express properly his feelings. He won't have a close relationship with the therapist. Also the therapist must also make effective responses to the ideas of the client. To make the client feel belonged and also open a space in his heart to see the therapist as his friend. Once this is achieved the whole process of changing a gambler gets simpler. If his family is caring enough to follow him to his therapy sessions it'll be a good move. Just to be sure he's going there. But, it's still rare to find such a caring home. Most families barely care about being this kind. And it worsens the gambler's situation. It also gets worse when the therapist doesn't know the right question and answers that'll bring the gambler to trust him with their problems. And open up to discuss further about how it all began. But, if he's lucky enough to find one that asks contributing questions that can change the perspective of the gambler to a better one. Then, the gambler will do his best to change and become a better person for his family and friends.
When a therapist can make a gambling addict feel something different from undergoing a healing session, maybe slowly, there will be changes in the gambling addict so that they will feel that what they are currently doing is working and making a difference, even though it is not very significant. The therapist also needs to grow the self-confidence of the gambling addict so that he can see that everyone has a second chance, which must be used well so that when he starts undergoing therapy sessions, he can feel that the second chance has started to come to him. He must use it as well as possible. -good. With the support of his family, who continues to accompany him throughout the therapy process, it is what can give him new enthusiasm to be able to quit gambling forever. He could also see genuine concern from everyone who helped him through the therapy sessions, and if he had questions, he would ask someone who understood and would get the answers. He could feel the sincere and warm love of his family waiting for him to return home.

If the friends had reach you to free food after the big win news is acceptable, but if they use you like atm means it will be the biggest trouble for the winner. Some experienced gambler sometimes make the spread of fake win news to the co gambler to get the free food by saying they will help after getting of the winning dollars from the gambling site.So the two types of the gambler was using the same situation. The majority of the gambler will hide the win from their friends to avoid of the trouble because their friends use them for the expenses. The family members like brother and sister itself demand of the loan to the gambler after come to know about their win from the gambling sites.
And it has become a habit for people to ask for things from the winners even though things like that sometimes become annoying for the winners. They can't enjoy their winnings in peace, but there will be people who come to them to say congratulations. However, there is something they want. That's why gamblers who win a lot of money ask their casinos not to reveal the identities of the winners or publish them to the public to avoid things like that. They also want to protect their privacy from interference from people they don't know so they can enjoy their winnings in peace.

I am not sure that by copying other people's bets you can significantly improve your prediction skills. For a beginner, copying the bets of successful bettors is an acceptable strategy, but in time you will still want to use your own predictions as there is nothing better than enjoying your own success. To achieve this you need to spend a lot of time and money. In fact, earning money on betting is quite a complex occupation, which requires from you a huge desire to learn and improve yourself.
Copying other people's bets does not improve our prediction skills. But if we can analyze the bets we want to place and continuously practice them, it can improve our analytical skills. Not copying other people's bets can improve our analytical skills. I apologize if it makes you confused.

A beginner may be looking for a quick way to immediately place a bet without needing to analyze it first. So he will copy other people's bets without doing his own analysis. If he does not learn analytical skills or seek information from other sources and relies on copying other people's bets, he is taking his own risk. But that's also up to him.

You have a very right choice because you decided not to fund anyone to gamble because there are many bad impacts in the long term and most often, for example, if you fund a friend or anyone you know too often, it will make their mind get used to asking you for help and Another impact is that you will lose a friend when you refuse to fund it.
This happens very often and you have a very wise way to continue funding yourself without having to fund other people.
Once we fund them, they will come back to us and ask us to fund them again. By funding them, at least it has given them the opportunity to think that we can be a place to ask for money to fund their gambling. We must be able to refuse those who want to ask us to fund their gambling because, after all, it is not good for them or us because money problems can make everything bad, especially if the money is used for gambling. It is better for us to fund ourselves than to fund others. At least we can be responsible in gambling, and we will also gamble only with the money we can afford so that we will not gamble excessively.

If a gambling addict can tell the truth about his gambling addiction, maybe it can make it easier for the people around him to start helping him. I don't really know anyone who has become a gambling addict, but I heard stories from my neighbours that there is someone in our neighbourhood who has started to become addicted to gambling. My other neighbours often see him gambling using his phone when he is not doing anything. So far, we have known him as someone who is good and never does anything out of the ordinary for the people around us. But I don't know the truth and don't want to find out at this time because there have been no complaints from his family saying that he was addicted to gambling.
1300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer wins seem too good on: November 19, 2023, 04:26:46 PM
I once watched a local streamer playing slots. In that slot game, he played Gates of Olympus and managed to win a lot of money. But they have had several big wins in a row, which has amazed people who watch the broadcast because it is very rare for someone to get several big wins in a row. But we also don't know whether the big win was purely due to luck or whether it was arranged in such a way to impress the audience. But that didn't have any impact on me because I knew if it was because of his luck, we shouldn't be jealous. After all, our luck with him would be different. We will not be able to achieve what he has achieved and vice versa. So it's better for us to enjoy what we see and not be influenced or we will be in danger.
