1281  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to 1400 (forecast) on: May 02, 2017, 12:29:26 AM
Will we see price over 1400 or we will go back to 1200 dollars per btc.
So many speculation were in past few days but dunno if we gonna see something or some big movement.
the price of bitcoin is almost going to touch 1500 USD level. as it is trading just a few point below to touch 1500 USD level. i am hopeful that even today it will cross 1500 USD level and after that it will put a new target for itself and hopeful that the new target will be 2000 USD level and hope that at the end of 2017 the price of bitcoin will even cross that level, we just need to hold our bitcoin and not to sell it in any case.
Right now bitcoin price is sitting at 1470 US Dollars price according to preev and I might say things are looking well and the price is in the uptrent but dont expect a 2000 US Dollar level just yet at the end of 2017, we got 7 months more before the end of the year and by that time many can happen but it might be possible. For now let's just watch what will happen will it dump after reaching a certain point or continue to rise? what are your opinions?
1282  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bobby Lee - price target in 2020; after block halving: USD $5k-$11k on: May 01, 2017, 02:47:24 AM
The price target of Bobby Lee in 2020 seems kinda decent considering that there is a possibility that bitcoin might go 5 times or more of it's current price 3 years or more from now. For now all we can do is wait until 2020, hold bitcoin and wait for the end of the year 2020 to really see whether his price target will be reached or not. If it is reached by then bitcoin might have a big transaction volume by then.
1283  Economy / Speculation / Re: Looks like we have set a new ATH at $1,377 on: May 01, 2017, 02:12:08 AM
Don't know exactly which exchange to look at as far as the price goes.  My little cell phone wallet uses Bitstamp, and right now it's at $1349, but some people are saying it's way over that.  This is like Mt. Cocks in 2014 all over again.

When we get to $1400, then we'll throw a party, eh?  The thousand marks are the milestone ones.
It's kinda near that target since according to preev.com the price is 1393 US Dollars which is I hope will continue to head to new all time highs and not dump that easily. If you don't know exactly which exchange to look when price is concerned I think it is better to look in preev because it shows the average of what bitcoin price really is now. I always use it because the bitcoin wallet I use shows the local currency conversion of bitcoin to Philippines.
1284  Economy / Speculation / Re: $2000 anyone? on: April 30, 2017, 08:56:47 AM
I do not think any great occasion to bump the price in 6 months. Normally bitcoin value uses to increase in the Christmas month and always fluctuation in all other months. So I think it is possible to see the 2000$ in this year end or in next year February like bump happened in this year. Segwit will not let the bitcoin price to see in bottom value again.
It is too early to say that there will be no occasion that will occur that might bump the price 6 months from now so we cannot say that surely bitcoin will reach $2000 price and I think it is still to early too for us to say that segwit will not let the bitcoin price to be seen in low values again because there can be some great occasion that will dump the price to the low values but there is a great chance we won't see it again though for now.
1285  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin provide income on line? on: April 30, 2017, 05:30:23 AM
Yes bitcoin provide income online and it is a lot more way easier than the work in the real world because you just need to put a little time and you can earn at least 1/4-1/2 of your salary from your regular work which is not bad for people who want to earn extra income online thru bitcoin.
Yes bitcoin is the real source of extra money nowadays. Before this, I used to earn extra money from my other online work, but the earning is very less to compare bitcoin earning. Now what you said is right we can make half of our salary with this bitcoin. Sometime I will earn almost equal to my salary.
Bitcoin really is the greatest source of extra money nowadays since before this I have not even have a way to earn extra money faster than bitcoin and we sometimes can make not only half of our salary with bitcoin, but sometimes 4X to 8X more of an average salary one worker gets so it is like getting an advance payment and I earn that amount sometimes via altcoin trading and altcoin bounties.
1286  Economy / Speculation / Re: $2000 anyone? on: April 29, 2017, 12:47:01 PM
2000$ in 6 months is possible but there is a chance of it not happening maybe it needs time more than 6 months to reach the target price. There is a possibility that the price of bitcoin by 6 months is lower than the price it has now but I really do hope 2000$ in 6 months will be possible I as a bitcoin user would love to see it touch the target price by 6 months.
1287  Economy / Speculation / Re: is 2017 the new 2013? on: April 29, 2017, 03:46:30 AM
The current rise in price really does look like 2013 and 2014 pump dump, but I think this time there won't be 2014 since even if it dumps I think it will stabilize to an amount greater than 400$ but I might be wrong. When my speculation happens most likely the thing we see now is not like 2013 and history won't repeat itself for now I think.
1288  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction - $1500 in 30 days - What do you think? on: April 28, 2017, 03:44:48 AM
According to preev bitcoin price right now is 1378 US Dollars and this prediction might be possible to be achieved if price continues to rise but most probably price would plunge down since prices is really high right now and this point of price commonly is the point where traders who hold short term sell and plans to rebuy at a lower price. I really do hope that OP's prediction will come true.

1289  Economy / Economics / Re: The Real Reason to Hold Gold And Bitcoin on: April 28, 2017, 01:45:10 AM
To get the best result from bitcoin, it is advisable to hold your bitcoins for long term and not short term because in short term, you might get some profits but it is not that maximized profit because it is just for short term while long term will be the best for you to earn and maximize your profit because in the long term trend, the price is always going up and its been tripled since the price last year.
There is no such thing as bitcoin price always going up even in the future since there will always be times that bitcoin price will go down and I think holding bitcoin for long term will not get one the best result in investing in bitcoin. As long as one sells and re-buy back at a good point, one can maximize profit that can be gained through bitcoin which might give them the best ever possible profit they can make out of bitcoin.
1290  Economy / Speculation / Re: What/who make the price of bitcoin on: April 27, 2017, 09:45:59 AM
Mainly the price of bitcoin is determined by supply and demand like others say but it really is not the only one that makes the price of bitcoin go up or down. Besides supply and demand, Bitcoin's price sometimes is determined by news that makes supply and demand change to go up or down. Also, price sometimes is determined by manipulators trying to manipulate it but I really don't see that much manipulation now compared to Chinese manipulation in the past.
1291  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC ETF SEC APPROVED on MAY 15th on: April 27, 2017, 07:23:16 AM
Bitcoin is getting reconsidered once again do you think its going to get approved or denied? Approval does it mean BTC rockets up ? Denial does it mean it takes a dump like in March? May 15th is the last day of approval.
I think ETF getting approved by SEC on may 15th is not likely to happen but there is a chance that they might reconsider and approve it. If it is approved I think BTC price will climb up and if it is denied I don't think there will be a dump that will happen since people might not think of buying unless there is announcement of ETF getting approved. Only a dip will occur if SEC denied it again.
1292  Economy / Economics / Re: The Real Reason to Hold Gold And Bitcoin on: April 26, 2017, 11:29:43 PM
At this time Bitcoin is not being used as a currency. People aren't buying goods with it. They are either hoarding it or using a portion to invest in alts. If anyone is using Bitcoin to buy goods it's a small percentage. Gold will always be a better investment as it is not as Volatile and Gold is a limited resource.

I agree with you . Bitcoin is currently used more for investment. People save more bitcoin for profit. Bitcoin is a short way for an investment. While gold should have a long time if you want to be invested.
That's why its better to hold both, holding bitcoin for short term investment, selling when price is high and buying when price is low, and holding gold to secure some wealth for the future. The good thing in investing in gold is that it is stable and climbs up not that often while bitcoin have a bull market going up and down almost every week or month. The real reason for holding both is that one can profit by just holding them and that's it.
1293  Economy / Speculation / Re: effect of Japan on bitcoin price speculation on: April 26, 2017, 03:52:02 AM
i think we can say that the current rise is because of Japan, at least partly.
but the more important effect of Japan, which will also affect the price in long term, is the effect they had on other countries. a lot of other countries are now talking about doing a similar thing. Russia for example has finally changed their mind and are taking a more friendly approach towards bitcoin. and with more countries accepting bitcoin and making it officially legal, the price can spike up fast.
So probably in long term Japan's bitcoin price speculation will also have good effect? If all other countries will take Japan as an example it would be positive on the outside on the long run but it will be a hassle since I know many regulations will be created pertaining to bitcoin which might make it hard for it to be converted to fiat on a daily basis. Also, it might bring more price manipulation in the future because of many countries speculating bitcoin that might try to control the price.
1294  Economy / Speculation / Re: World War III on: April 25, 2017, 07:51:00 AM
While reading the news I experienced a sudden chill running down my spine, it stated that USA ships are moving towards North Korea and North Korea has warned any aggression on USA part and they shall wipe out USA, indirectly hinting at nuking them. In the past we could have ignored this news, and moved on but look at the two leaders who have the ultimate power to cause destruction and neither of them will back down. If this isn't worst the mystic had predicted 13th May 2017 the day world War III would begin, though she's got few things wrong and let's hope she got this wrong to. So worst case scenario war breaks out, what will happen to Bitcoins, as they are valued in $?
Obviously the price of btc won't change a bit during that time like what others said and the war was not the worst case scenario I think but us probably dying because of the war and if some of us or me died in that war, those who died can never ever come back here, post and speculate btcc price and the btc they got would be in their wallets forever probably untouched. For now one needs not to think about the price of btc when war starts but rather how to survive world war 3 if ever one will happen soon.
1295  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin benefit of saving for a long time? on: April 25, 2017, 01:56:07 AM
most people that keep there bit coin for long do it for trading speculations, they take time to observe the pump and dump while saved.
Not all of those that keep bitcoin do it in the hopes it goes up, some do it simply because they believe in the technology of bitcoin, I’m sure there are holders that got their coins on the first days of bitcoin and that are not planning to sell no matter what.
seeing from the fact majority of people holding bitcoin only to get profit in future, maybe there's exist some people who really believe bitcoin but i honestly don't really trust that, everyone purpose is to gain money and that's what motivate them to join the crypto world
I think basically people have to believe in bitcoin to invest and get a profit in bitcoin. Because when they do not believe in bitcoin All they do in bitcoin is panic and fear. So I'm sure investors are choosing to save their bitcoin for the future Has full confidence in bitcoin mate
Bitcoin is one of the smart places to invest your money or treat it as a savings account. You can buy bitcoin regularly and you will have bitcoins and put it on a cold storage like paper wallets and hardware wallet then you can store bitcoin as much as you can their and you don't have to worry about the hacks or being stolen because those two are safe.
The problem is how long you can hold your bitcoin. Because it will determine the amount of profit you will get. If you want to be patient you can get a high price and a big profit

Holding for long term doesn't promises you to make higher profits in future as price can even go in lower direction and that will make your holding go in vain so its better to sell them when price goes higher and buy them back when price falls.
Its their decision though to hold bitcoin long term so for me the best thing to do is to sell some bitcoin and rebuy same amount at dump so that even if it really do go in lower direction, its not that big of a problem for me since I have took profit from it anyway and the money im using to buy bitcoin is just pure profit from my previous sells. The only benefit of saving bitcoin for a long time is that if it's price is higher, literally the holder would get a nice amount of profit.
1296  Economy / Economics / Re: Microchip implant for Bitcoin Payments in Malls will you agree ? on: April 24, 2017, 02:37:10 AM
Thieves can steal credit card data through RFID.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3S_6EJCjn0

An implant would be vulnerable to similar attacks.

Someone walking past you on the street with a scanner could steal all your bitcoin.

If that's the case it is better not to use microchip implant for bitcoin payments since it would be easier to steal bitcoin for others that way. If that's the case I'd rather prefer paying bitcoin via scanning a qr code in a mall for transaction with a smartphone or better yet convert my bitcoin to fiat to pay for a product using fiat obtained by converting bitcoin. That would be easier to do.
1297  Economy / Economics / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto should be richer than Bill Gates. on: April 23, 2017, 02:20:39 PM
Why he cant just generate indefinite amount of bitcoins for him and exchange it to real cash, right? Any thoughts?
The moment Satoshi would do this (the problem is that he won't quite be able to do it, but let's forget about it) the value of bitcoins would plummet to...guess what 0.
This is the basic selling point of bitcoin , limited supply.

Once we mess with this it's just like printing fiat.
It would be like fiat yeah and I think it wouldn't have the same glory it has now, it will just be like the others, a shitty altcoin with a low price. It wouldn't be the crypto-currency king if bitcoin creator can generate many bitcoin in the first place. Bitcoin without the limited supply would not be the bitcoin we now know if the supply numbers will be changed.
1298  Economy / Economics / Re: where should i invest my 0.5 btc ? on: April 23, 2017, 06:42:06 AM
For me it is yet another good investment if one will invest on a gambling site's bankroll. For starters I would recommend crypto-games since there are many big shots playing there who lose sometimes which will make you profit. Also investing in good ICO's are a good form of investment too just invest in the ones you will decide to trust though.
1299  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: April 22, 2017, 09:48:27 AM
Bitcoin can also lead to corruption in fact it can enhance it. For example some rich whales bribing politicians which politicians can accept readily because they are anonymous using bitcoin even if a transaction happened. Bitcoin brought the perfect formula for corruption I think because anonymity+hard to trace transactions sometimes+an intent for corruption can be equal to an enhanced corruption.
1300  Economy / Economics / Re: One Reason not to be "All Inn" on any Single Investment for Long on: April 22, 2017, 03:02:22 AM
I've done this once and not a very clever move to do. Investing your money in only one crypto could lead to loss once it crashed. You should spread your investment. Not only on one but more crypto. Atleast it will cover your losses once one of your alt crashes. It also the depends on the alt you choose. Make sure you choose a good alt. Me i bought XRP, ETH and Dash. So far, it gives me good profit.
You should really read the OP more since this thread does not tell that going all in on a single investment is good but rather it states a reason, one good reason to why one should not go all in and having some cash left to spend for our lives while waiting for our investment to profit is a wise choice. I hope I don't offend you buy the way you replied I think you didn't read the OP well.
