12821  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining Service - Reviews on: December 02, 2014, 10:24:32 PM
It gives almost all of them good reviews.   Are you not taking price into consideration?
12822  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Nov 18th to Dec 1 diff thread (-0.35%) to (1.14%) on: December 02, 2014, 08:13:47 PM
Around 3 hours till change on btcwisdom: 40,047,488,260 (-0.63%). Will be a interesting few hours.

I think some of the S4's might be on the network already.  I think the SP20's will be brand new  on network over blackfriday sales.  We will see I'm hoping less then 5 percent on next jump.
12823  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Can we still mine from home? on: December 02, 2014, 03:40:09 PM
It depends.  You need space, and cheap electricity.   Your electricity rate really is the big deciding part.
12824  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will I forever be penalized on here??? on: December 02, 2014, 04:05:31 AM
you guys are evil. Pure evil. Negative, pessimistic, and quick to judge, and never forgive. you are all probably virgins to.

Of course I plan on paying everyone back, I have been making micro payments on btcjam ever since, despite all the hate I get here.

I honestly hope the new world order throws your asses in concentration camps. Despicable people!

As for myself, I know that my intentions are pure, and people are quick to judge and misunderstand me.

I wanted to get a legitimate business investment, and I was jokingly calling it a ponzi.

But instead of asking for clarification, idiots give me (-) feedback on a damn post before even risking any bitcoins!

And you losers will gamble away tons of bitcoins on stupid scammy bitcoin dice sites.... WOW OMG SO STUPIDDDD!!!

You think I am stupid? GOOD. I HATE YOU! Ha!

Calling names will not help.

Yes it will follow you, pay off the loan in full and message the one about it you might get it removed.

On other about ponzi I doubt it get's removed so you would need to do some positive trusts (buying, selling).   Eventually you will get positive (a lot don't take the time to do it).

But yes they are forever on there unless other person decides to remove it.
12825  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do faucets afford it on: December 02, 2014, 04:01:14 AM
Why are they giving away free money albeit small amounts?  It's not like they're loaded with banner ads

They give such a SMALL amount they are able to.  They make more off ad's then they pay.  And if they were just starting it would not take much to fund a faucet.
12826  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Cooled Miner C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: December 02, 2014, 02:40:48 AM
I'm still having issues with getting one of my miners to 1000TH/s. I've increased the voltage, added in three pools as Bitmain requested and this unit just doesn't want to hash where it is supposed to.

Also, anyone notice pressure build up in the loop? I wanted to check my coolant level, so I unscrewed the fill cap and it was like opening a can of soda. I know some pressure is caused by the heat, but these loops aren't made to handle the pressure, right....certainly not the pump.

I have had much better luck maintaining that 1000TH/s performance level once I started powering the Radiator's 3x fans
and the Pump directly from the PSU instead of going thru one of the connectors on the C1 blades.

I'm using a Corsair RM1000
and one of these:

Molex to 3 pin adapter (To use instead of syscooling harness):
http://www.amazon.com/Phobya-4-Pin-3-Pin-Splitter-Connection/dp/B007S3T4O0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1416652659&sr=8-3&keywords=molex+to+fan

Your results may vary.

I was one to suggest http://www.amazon.com/Phobya-4-Pin-3-Pin-Splitter-Connection/dp/B007S3T4O0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1416652659&sr=8-3&keywords=molex+to+fan    instead of the syscooling harness.  I can confirm it's still working away.

Still no RMA from syscooling.... ordering power and pump was a good decision elsewhere don't wait on syscooling RMA.
12827  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Best difficulty to mine on a 1Th/s Miner on: December 01, 2014, 09:13:10 PM
256 is default on Dragons (which i believe you have).   Some pools will adjust automatically, some do not.

If 256 does not work good change to 512 and try it.
12828  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Nov 18th to Dec 1 diff thread (-0.35%) to (1.14%) on: December 01, 2014, 05:57:36 PM
Estimated Next Difficulty:    40,248,300,290 (-0.13%)
i think i stress myself too much Roll Eyes

yeah whatever it is tomorrow

-1 to +1  are good numbers coin price is around 381 also good.

numbers are so good the jump will not be on the 1st it will be on the 2nd of dec.

I will be happy welcoming a 1 percent jump.   Wish they were all so low.  I don't think we will see negative, but I hope I'm wrong.
12829  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help - I'm new on: December 01, 2014, 05:54:38 PM
I suggest doing ROI math.  Sadly the day's of regular computers mining are over for most.

If I understand it looks like your trying to mine BTC with a regular computer (CPU even).   I suggest looking at asics if you are wanting to mine BTC.
12830  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 1Ths/ enough to start own pool? on: December 01, 2014, 02:57:55 PM
Hmm, that is true, well I guess I could try it for 24 hours or maybe 48. Although if I mine in my own pool, and I reach a block and get it. Say if the block is worth 25Btc, does that mean I get the whole 25Btc because its not being shared in a pool?

Its not something you can really test in 24-48 hours.    You would run it for years and most likely never hit it.  If you did yes you would get 25 BTC.   But with 1TH it is very very small chance.
12831  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 1Ths/ enough to start own pool? on: December 01, 2014, 02:39:55 PM
It would be like playing the lotto.   ITH is nothing compared to big pools.    They have a LOT of power behind them.  If you look at pools on here you will see how powerful some are.
12832  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 1Th/s bitcoin miner, 864 Hardware Errors and speed fluctuating. on: December 01, 2014, 11:40:34 AM
Are you sure it will be fine? I mean the miner also fluctuates allot from 800Gh/s to 1022Gh/s. Also what do the hardware errors mean, and like can you find out what it is?
one more thing is, when I plug a screen into the Raspberry Pi while its booting and is mining, it gives out random numbers. saying " ip 5 6 7 8 "
Which clearly isn't an ip. Because the one I use is 192.168.0.53

ckolivas is right the HW errors are a very small amount shown, noting to worry about.  Are why are you plugging in a screen in during mining?  Is it a old one with screen or are you trying to add one to a newer dragon?
12833  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin mixing vs Bitcoin exchange. on: December 01, 2014, 03:16:07 AM
Hi. I can't help think that bitcoin mixing services have become completely useless, and surpassed, thanks to the rise of over 40+ BTC exchanges.

When you make an account on a BTC exchange, they give you an address only for you, that you can deposit money into.
A short while after your deposit into that address, you will see that your address has been cleaned out, with all the btc sent to several other addresses, that are presumably the exchange's own addresses/cold addresses/addresses of other users withdrawing from the exchange/etc..
So while your ADDRESS itself is empty, you are still owner of X btc deposited into your account of that exchange. Thus when you withdraw, you will receive btc that is completely untainted from the first btc address you used to deposit it.

Thus the question, why the hell are bitcoin mixing services still exist? With some that even cost a fee? Do people still even use them? Or am I completely mislead in considering BTC exchanges as bitcoin mixers?

Mixing services are used to hide identity. If u use an exchange, your coins will be mixed, but your identity will be attached to that exchange's account. But, apart from exchange, there are also a lot of bitcoin applications which does not ask for identity, e.g. gambling sites. So, if u send coins to a gambling site and withdraw, u'll most likely get new coins with no identity attached.

A lot of exchanges you would be sending to your wallet on the site and pulling out same address  (some can change address).  But a exchange would not completely hide who has the coins.

Bitmixer's claim to make it impossible (or near impossible) to track.   I personally have never had a use for this.
12834  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Values on: December 01, 2014, 03:11:09 AM
Supply and demand. I am willing to pay $400 for a bitcoin, if sellers supply at that price then the market will adjust (rise or fall) to $400.

It's essentially a gamble. Just like stocks from my understanding.  Your basically buying a share of company which will never split correct which will have a cap at 21. Million shares

Will doge or lite coin ever reach these values?

It would describe it as a high risk investment, not a true gamble   Will doge or lite coin pass bitcoin its safe to say no.  But they will get higher values then they have today at some point.   But BTC will remain the "gold" of the crypto world.
12835  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Newbie needs some advice on: December 01, 2014, 12:01:20 AM
too loud for home use and they are not for a new person.

look into the lessor model they sell the sp20  it is on a black friday-cybermonday sale for $695 usd plus shipping

hi have an office with server room i was thinking of putting it in so noise is no problem, and setup looks easy enough

could elaborate more
 a) why aren't they for a new person?
 b) are they reliable
 c) the is the calculation thing correct?

A) Not sure.
B) SP and Bitmain are two companies I recommend.    Look at either.
C) If it is one for ROI the difficulty changes are not constant.  So it can be a educated guess, feeling, but will never be 100 percent right.
12836  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Cooled Miner C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: November 30, 2014, 09:48:23 PM
I can't help but wonder, the folks with the burnt out pumps, is the pump intake coming from the radiator (hence cool) or the C1 (hence warm/hot)?

M

I can verify my two were not temperature. It was cold ambient being used from winter winds.

I wont go into my story again, as I'm sure your all bored of it.  But still over 3 weeks no RMA from syscooling.

Are you still using that tall pump you got off Ebay? The one for $38? How is that working?

Yea they are working great.   I also use the molex to power it, no longer using the syscooling harness.
12837  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Cooled Miner C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: November 30, 2014, 06:31:57 PM

why did you open a dispute? Did they replace the "first" one? if so why would you open dispute on the second one? Not sure of your situation just trying to figure out why would possibly damage syscoolings paypal status doing a chargeback.

My first pump was D.O.A. and they did not send me a new pump, although promised. And I'm ready to destroy them, any status as PayPal, as well as here.
I paid them a total of 3x -$172.40 USD

Did syscooling say they shipped RMA's and they just never get there?   I worked with them for 3 weeks until I finally got fed up and did dispute.

12838  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Nov 18th to Dec 1 diff thread (-0.35%) to (1.14%) on: November 30, 2014, 05:45:50 PM
spondoolies sp20's have been shipping the bitmaintech coupons had to help sell the s-4's.  So 1 or 2% jump looks pretty sure right now.

I purchased 2 sp20's and kind of want to get one more. I know I am not the only one doing this.

I expanded aswell.  With winter weather hard to pass up cheap/free cooling.

It will be the big centers that really give us a jump.   I thought they would wait till next gen, but the SP gear appears to have quite the lifespan with it's underclock. Guess time will tell.
12839  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Cooled Miner C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: November 30, 2014, 05:15:46 PM

I have a feeling i'm the other guy.   It is syscooling I'm waiting for.  Over 3 weeks and no RMA parts.   They are flat out horrible.

Bitmain is a different company.  Email them they have good support and have always treated me fair.

Yesterday stopped working on my second syscooling pump.
Fortunately, I paid via PayPal. I opened dispute today.

They are a horrible company to do RMA on syscooling.  I gave them 3 weeks, neither of my two RMA pumps and one harness have showed up. Talking to their support is painful.   It's not about hurting them just making it right.   I had to open a dispute as well.
12840  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining profitability of cloud mining services on: November 30, 2014, 04:02:22 AM
My hashlets over at GAW miners are making .00000001 BTC a day.  Thats 150MH/s for one satoshi.  Cloud mining is busted imo, unless its just GAW.

Maybe you need to upgrade your plan. I am not sure, how profitable mining can be, but it does seem, that cloudmining will be generating more returns. Can someone explain why does buying hashing power through cloudmining not a good strategy?

I like hardware myself.  If cheap electricity it can be a good idea.   At the end you own hardware, most cloud mining you own a certain MHz or GHz not a miner.

Some cloud mining is great i'm sure for some(depending on the site).
