12841  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Hello, BACK INTO MINING BABY! on: November 30, 2014, 03:54:34 AM
one more question... will I be able to switch from mining bitcoins to some other alternative currency with T-110?

If it is sha-256 yes, but it won't be able to do scrypt.
12842  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: help setting up a miner on: November 30, 2014, 12:55:46 AM
What miners are they?  If you tell us the model it will help us guide you to help.
12843  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is a blockchain.info wallet in Tor browser secure? on: November 30, 2014, 12:54:25 AM
You can do this safely now using blockchain.info's onion site:

*Malicious Link Removed*

It would still have the exit nodes.  I think it leads to possible tor problems.   I could be wrong, but look at past exit nodes have had multiple problems in past.

2 boards on my unit are dead and the pump works fine. machine is fried wat a darn bummer...

praying bitmain blesses me but that other guy earlier is still waiting but i think his was a cooling issue...

mine is just simply toast :////

pleade bless me with some reliable s3's bitmain... please Sad and help me with shipping and a hefty coupon on my next batch of s3 orders sunday.

that sounds fair to me... equal exchange for s3's with reimbursed shipping in form of coupon for my sunday s3 order.

@dogie i understand they do not reply right away. i just pray they follow up well and this doesnt turn into a me nagging them and making me into the bad guy (even tho i have the worlds most beautiful paperweight)

I have a feeling i'm the other guy.   It is syscooling I'm waiting for.  Over 3 weeks and no RMA parts.   They are flat out horrible.

Bitmain is a different company.  Email them they have good support and have always treated me fair.
12845  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining profitability of cloud mining services on: November 29, 2014, 09:59:07 PM
What also helps is that websites like LTCgear multiply our shares by 1.35 every month and a half. This somewhat compensates slightly for the difficulty increase, making the initial weeks still very close to the original difficulty.
This doesn't make any sense. How can they afford to do this? This would essentially mean that they are having to purchase additional mining power for the benefit of the shareholders ever 6 weeks but not receive any additional funds to cover such purchases.

It's a ponzi.

It is unusual how they are able to "multiply our shares by 1.35 every month and a half".  I don't know how this would be sustainable.  I wish LTCgear would release some photos of data center, or something tangible.
12846  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Hello, BACK INTO MINING BABY! on: November 29, 2014, 09:54:29 PM
Look at SP20 or bitmain products.  Either way you cannot go wrong.   Both easy to configure, and I would say much easier then GPU mining days you mention.  I was always having to tinker with GPUs long ago, a lot of these you can set and forget.
12847  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Cooled Miner C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: November 29, 2014, 07:18:08 PM
I can't help but wonder, the folks with the burnt out pumps, is the pump intake coming from the radiator (hence cool) or the C1 (hence warm/hot)?

M

I can verify my two were not temperature. It was cold ambient being used from winter winds.

I wont go into my story again, as I'm sure your all bored of it.  But still over 3 weeks no RMA from syscooling.
12848  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: which is the most legit cloud mining service? on: November 29, 2014, 07:07:38 PM
I'm more into hardware miners myself.   My advice is if someone uses a referral code when talking about a service take the advice very carefully.

On most "legit" I prefer one that has shown pictures or something.   A don't go into proving they are not ponzi.
12849  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to setup Antminer S3 to mine through laptop wifi on: November 28, 2014, 02:49:39 PM
I already have a spare linksys wireless router.. I can just use that?

It depends on model. Look up model  and see if it has a bridge mode.   If not there is openwrt (modded firmware) you might check to see if it can use which has bridge mode.
12850  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Nov 18th to Dec 1 diff thread (-0.35%) to (1.14%) on: November 28, 2014, 02:47:30 PM
still looking pretty good:

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

 Estimated Next Difficulty:   39,846,926,153  (-1.12%)

It shot back up: Estimated Next Difficulty:    40,181,170,149 (-0.29%)

I really want to see a negative.  Hopefully it goes down a little again.
12851  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to setup Antminer S3 to mine through laptop wifi on: November 28, 2014, 04:28:43 AM
Instead of using a laptop for wifi full time i suggest looking at wireless routers with a client bridge mode.   For under 20 bucks you can get wireless on the 4 or so wired connecters from back of bridge router.
12852  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: November 28, 2014, 01:07:31 AM
I got 4 new S4s and I booted them up and the IP shown is 127.0.0.1.

Any idea on how I can connect into my S4s? Smiley

Is it connected to network?   That is local host, making me think it is not connected to network.
12853  Other / MultiBit / Re: What just happened to my Wallet ? on: November 28, 2014, 01:04:29 AM
Are you sure they were all wallets and not just empty receiving adresses? If you use a wallet with changing receiving adresses, the old ones will remain 'active' but it will always show new adresses, wich all link to the same wallet. It's just so you can give out a new adress to each customer, to check theyre payments etc.

Well Basically , all those wallets had money , then I sent money from each one of them to this 1 wallet (that didn't dissapeare).
once I received all the money on this one wallet , I closed Multibit
after few days , I opened it back and all the adresses with 0$ dissapeared , only the one that had money didn't Shocked

and I'am pretty sure they were wallets Shocked what could they be other then that . I clicked "New Wallet" to make them.

If you are losing wallets somehow make sure to make backups.  (Read proper ways to store it, always be safe)
12854  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloudmining without proof of mining [poll] on: November 28, 2014, 01:00:36 AM
^^^^++

Excellent post Puppet, these "cloudminers" are springing up like mushrooms, 'arbitrage' is sooo last year for the fashionable scammer.

I truly am surprised how little proof some take.   Maybe I'm jaded but i want proof for any BTC investment.
12855  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 28, 2014, 12:54:08 AM
I have to admit I have become a SP fan.  The SP20 is truly great.    And looking foward to even being able to down clock one day and get even more profit out of it Smiley
12856  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Sp20 Help please on: November 27, 2014, 04:30:38 PM
Oh yes i forgot to do jump my PSU, but its running now Wink

Glad to hear it's running.  If in correct spots I suggest using electrical tape to keep it in place.   You really don't want your metal piece falling out (assuming you used metal piece and not switch).
12857  Economy / Lending / Re: would someone give a loan? on: November 27, 2014, 11:49:05 AM
I'm suprised no  one has posted yet.  For loans post over in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=65.0 (loan forum) to get more attention.   You also need to know if short or long term.

I agree you sound like a good person to loan. But I think your 1 percent will not happen on here but guess we will see.   BTC loans just are not a low cost fiat loan.
12858  Economy / Lending / Re: would someone give a loan? on: November 27, 2014, 06:05:00 AM
would someone give me a loan of 1000$ in bitcoin for 1 month (1%) if i could give a collateral of 4 btc to an escrow during that month?

You can try here:

Just trying.. Smiley but you can look for something what you need in this thread:

I think it will take more then 1 percent loan.  This is a very attractive loan as the borrower but less so for person loaning.
why? 12.6% a year for your fiat, I don't know what you get on your bank account but I guess it's a bit less and even people put money on there...

Certainly a bank pays much less interest on deposits, but then again the bank is a MUCH lower risk.  Deposits at the bank here in the U.S. are regulated and insured by the F.D.I.C.

Are you running a regulated business? If I loan you money, will that loan be guaranteed by an extremely reliable insurance corporation?

If not, then the lender is taking a MUCH higher risk, and therefore should be adequately compensated for that additional risk.  If getting a bank loan was so easy for you, then you already would have gotten the loan there and would not be here looking for someone willing to take a chance on you.

Pretty much sums it up.  If you have a bank account you can get a fiat for cheaper on loan.

There is a entire lending board on here, if you look because of risk the monthly fee is normally higher then one percent.
12859  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Cooled Miner C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: November 27, 2014, 05:51:49 AM
Today I received two batch two C1 miners with syscooling systems.  The original orders were placed on Nov 14 and 15.  Here is the good, the bad and the ugly.

Good...miners perform exactly as specified by BitMainTech...no surprise there...my first two C1's performed at spec as well.  The version 2 wiring harness from Syscooling is much improved in that it plugs into one of the extra PCI-e connectors on top of the miner.

Bad...I'm not sure if I have a bad fan or if one of the connections in the new syscooling set up is bad. In the version 2 set up I received two fans use one 3-pin connector and the third fan uses another 3-pin connector; the fan uses a 4 pin connector.  The version 2 harness connects to the miner via a PCI-e  connector and has three 3-pin connectors and one 4-pin connector. This leaves one of the 3 pin connectors on the harness "open" which may not be the best plan. In any case, one of the two fans connected to the same 3-pin connector is not spinning...again, not sure if it is the fan or the harness, but something clearly wasn't tested (again) by syscooling.

Ugly...it took numerous emails, photos and posts to get syscooling to offer to replace one of my first two pumps which is leaking/non-functional.  They said a day or two ago that they would "arrange shipping".  To date, they have not contacted me with any sort of tracking number or other confirmation that they have actually mailed a replacement pump. One 1TH/s miner has now been down for a week.  This coupled with the fact that I was also unlucky enough to receive one of the version 1 harnesses with a short which fried a fan header on one of my first C1s has left me with a very poor opinion of syscooling.com and I have to question BitMainTech's choice of partners.

I feel your pain.   I was ignored and lied to and still have not received RMA unit's from syscooling.

Keep in mind you can contact your credit card provider.  Funny how after I did they started communication again asking if I got RMA..... which they know from previous emails I have not.  I know for me after almost a month I reached my limit of trying to get RMA parts.
