12881  Economy / Services / Re: [NEED - 0.02BTC Payment]Looking for a programmer to fetch BCH from my address on: April 11, 2018, 06:15:27 PM
So... the method I PM'ed you didn't work? It's good to know in case anyone else have the same issue than you in the future.

You could also post the working script here for the same reason I described above.
12882  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Recommend some Cryptocurrency wallet that is UI friendly to a Newbie? on: April 11, 2018, 12:31:45 PM
If you are talking about a wallet with multiple cryptocurrency support, I would suggest coinbase to you.It is not a wallet.
FTFY. Can we please stop suggesting Coinbase as a wallet? Even its own CEO agree with that: https://blog.coinbase.com/coinbase-is-not-a-wallet-b5b9293ca0e7

@OP: Exodus.io is pretty user-friendly and has support for several altcoins. However, I wouldn't store Bitcoins there, since they don't let you customize your fees and you could lose money when(if) the fees get high.
12883  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk is changing on: April 11, 2018, 10:31:03 AM
I just put those long arsed posters on ignore. That makes the boards much easier to read.
I'm a little bit off topic but would you mind sharing your ignore list? Maybe create a thread/add to your site and keep it updated.
12884  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Bittrex is now accepting new customers again! Bullish! on: April 11, 2018, 12:55:46 AM
No, that screenshot is dated December of 2017, while the article that OP posted was released just 7 hours ago. What are you trying to say? Huh
The print is old but the article is pretty much the same (with a few different words and an "Updated on April 10, 2018").

Go to the BitTrex website and click at the "Register" button. They will redirect you to this article page[1].

12885  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Educate us on the ins and outs how sig campaigns work and their effectiveness on: April 10, 2018, 11:21:37 PM
If you count per post, Chipmixer isn't actually one of the highest paying signature campaigns. Assuming the title to the main thread is correct, you're getting paid 0.00075/post and Fortunejack currently pays me 0.0008/post, assuming I make the minimum requirement of 25 posts per week. I do like how DarkStar_ runs the campaign, though- a member of the campaign isn't required to make the full 50 posts/week, and he doesn't expect many to do so with decent posting quality.
It is if you consider the maximum you can get per week.

ChipMixer: 0.00075BTC/post, 50 max posts/week; max of 0.0375BTC/week.
Fortunejack: max of 0.02BTC/week.

With just 27 posts, you already get 0.02BTC; And with some exceptions, I usually make way more posts than that per week.

As for the effectiveness of signature campaigns, a logical conclusion one would come to is that they're quite effective if companies and organizations spend thousands of dollars a week on them.
I believe on that aswell. So far, ChipMixer already spent ~58BTC only with his signature campaign Shocked
12886  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Dontworry2much.com recovered my bitcoins after forgetting password on: April 10, 2018, 11:07:11 PM
How this service safe?
I definitely wouldn't trust my wallet to this user, however they have this in their FAQ:

Quote
If you do not want to send your wallet

The normal option is to send us your locked wallet, However if you do not want to, there may be another Way around, what you need is to extract the encrypted hash from your wallet.

Use this steps to extract the wallet hash from Bitcoin Core wallet (wallet.dat)

[...]

You will get something like this

$bitcoin$96$csdfj39ujvdkjfdjvf9djvodjfve9ujdojvfmdkoljf9ejfk

lsxmjdlslsdklklkscsdfj39ujvdkjfdjvf9djvodjfve9ujdojvfmdkoljf9

ejfklsxmjdlslsdklklksc601bb50f1d4ce3ef826e0307539665ac80

cvkjsifu8d98ufvidxjfvcsed9ru8idjcfkdscnmkxmcmcskljmksjdksjdksjk01

It is an encrypted hash of your wallet password and you can send it instead of wallet.dat file.

Even after decrypting the hash there is no way for us to use your wallet without having the wallet file.

Once you give us the hash with other details that specified in the contact us page, we can work on Recovering your password.
From: http://dontworry2much.com/faq/

P.S: I don't know if this method is really safe and "trustless" as I don't use Bitcoin Core.
12887  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should you trust crypto "influencers?" on: April 10, 2018, 10:50:53 PM
Definitely not. Never trust anyone in the crypto space, mainly if the user is a "influencer" that probably got paid to shill an ICO or shitcoin.

Some of them really care about helping the new investors, but the majority of them will accept the first "shill X ICO" offer that they get once they get big.
12888  Economy / Services / Re: [NEED - 0.02BTC Payment]Looking for a programmer to fetch BCH from my address on: April 10, 2018, 08:02:49 PM
Hey jreister,

I sent you a PM with a potential solution which I'm almost sure it's going to work.
12889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Unspent Transaction on: April 10, 2018, 07:18:50 PM
What is the issue? Unspent (like the name says) means that the coins are there and haven't been spent yet.

What do you get when you try to make a transaction? Do you mind posting here your Bitcoin address?
12890  Other / Meta / Re: [BUG] Insert quote button is missing on: April 10, 2018, 07:09:36 PM
I just tested this in two different posts and I can see the "Insert Quote" link.

Can you double check?
12891  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Pague seus Boletos com Bitcoin e Altcoins - Pague.Nu - [TÓPICO OFICIAL] on: April 10, 2018, 07:05:14 PM
Boa noite,

12892  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Dontworry2much.com recovered my bitcoins after forgetting password on: April 10, 2018, 06:11:28 PM
How much did they cost you to use?

Also, how long was the password you used and how much difd you remember about it for it to be recovered within 2 hours.
According to the website, they take 10% of the amount in the wallet.

Cheaper than the 20% taken by Dave from the Wallet Recovery Services. He already has the reputation however.
12893  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet for Monero! on: April 10, 2018, 05:24:39 PM
The official Electrum is only available for Bitcoin.

Electron Cash (for BCH), Electrum-LTC (for Litecoin), etc... are all non-official forks which are developed and maintained by other devs (usually from the crypto community); There will never be any official Electrum for Monero unless someone forks the project and does all the work to support it. Why don't you ask about it in the Monero subreddit or something like this?
12894  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any Pre-Mined Bitcoin on 2009? on: April 10, 2018, 03:56:20 PM
I think this is one of the main reasons people are scared to invest in bitcoin,  There is a very real possibility of over 1 million btc being dumped by satoshi and crashing the price.
Why would he kill his own creation?

Also, how would he withdrawal almost $7 billions to his bank account? Or $20 billions if he sold at the ATH of $20k? (lol)
12895  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal - Member Profile on: April 10, 2018, 03:10:04 PM
I understand and I agree, I did copy information from earlier posts, but isnt that done like by 1000s of people.
I mean, I never copied them entirely, I used some info, added more to it and posted.
It is still plagiarism.

I understand my mistake here and I really want to assure the admins/mods thats this is never gonna happen ever again. Would really appreciate If I can get a chance of unban.

Or if there is anything I can do to assure that I genuinely want to correct my mistakes and continue.
I don't think so. You should have read and followed the rules Undecided

Yesterday, somebody I reported some time ago got banned for the same reason as you and made an appeal post. That's how SaltySpitoon - a Global Moderator - answered:

No there is not. People are occasionally unbanned after making a genuine mistake. Intentionally breaking the core rules of the forum will not be forgiven. If your "friend" got your account banned, both you and them are not welcome to post here anymore.
12896  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal - Member Profile on: April 10, 2018, 02:50:01 PM
You probably got banned for plagiarism. If that was the case, your ban is permanent and irreversible.

Your post:
There are a lot of ways of earning from crypto and to switch to a full-time crypto will require you to utilize all these ways so you can earn your maximum best. Also, you might not be able to hold for a long term this also helps to increase your gains because you might need some money at some point in time.  But for me quitting your job when you are new to cryptos is kinda risky because this cannot provide you an accurate income because they are volatile and sometimes there are campaigns that are a scam and failed. But if you are doing this for a long time then yes quit your job.

Copied from:
Well, that depends on how successful you will or can be as a day trader. The fact is that many activities go on in this cryptoworld we are. I mean, there are a lot of ways of earning from crypto and to switch to a full time crypto will require you to utilize all these ways so you can earn your maximum best. Also, one factor is that you might not be able to hold for a long term( this also helps to increase your gains) because you might need some money at some point in time. You should also check your country and their stands with cryptocurrency since that might influence your decisions on which type of activity you would participate. For instance if your country has banned ICOs you should be careful about how you would invest in crypto so that you don't get stranded. So you can switch to full time crypto but that would need a lot of caution or better still you can combine partial crypto, and then you also continue with your designated job.

Edit: stompix came here first Undecided (which means that you did that more than once)
12897  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any Pre-Mined Bitcoin on 2009? on: April 10, 2018, 02:09:14 PM
AFAIK there was no pre-mine. Everyone could mine Bitcoins back in 2009. Satoshi had a lot of coins because he was mining his own creation from day 1, and with those coins he made his first transaction.

As to how many coins he has, no one can know for sure. But some people estimate that he has around 1 million BTC.
12898  Other / Meta / Re: Please consider removing my ban on: April 10, 2018, 12:25:04 AM
Wow. Glad to see that there is a mod checking those report threads and banning the spammers from time to time.

If it wasn't for @DarkStar's post, I wouldn't have recognized the OP.

Edit: the typical "my friend did that" excuse Roll Eyes
12899  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: April 09, 2018, 11:23:25 PM
The play store now has 2.9.11.7 available, but the direct download from the website still remains unchanged at version 2.8.5.

https://wallet.mycelium.com/download/apk/mbw-prodnet-release-2.8.5build28500.apk

Do the devs even read this thread anymore?
The devs have been MIA for some time. The last wallet update was February 24 and they still don't have any plans on supporting Segwit (or even working on the wallet).

Why keep using Mycelium? Move to Samourai or some other wallet which devs actually CARE about Bitcoin.
12900  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Preparing For Bitcoin Cash Hard Fork Using Electron Wallet on: April 09, 2018, 09:25:16 PM
Yes, the fork that will happen next month is the one I was referring to....

I wish the developers of the Electron wallet would tell us their plans soon so we know if we should keep our Bitcoin Cash on the Electron wallet or move it somewhere else.

Thanks
Well, Electron Cash lets you have full control over your private-keys. So even if they didn't support the fork, that's all you need to import your address in a different wallet that does.
