12961  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good idea to short here. on: December 05, 2017, 09:29:32 PM
I'm not a professional but looking at the charts especially long term charts, it looks like we're due for a huge correction. My bet is we will see a sharp drop to $5k-$6k, just not sure if the whales will push it a few thousand higher before having their positions ready?

I just can't imagine why anyone would want to buy at this price.

You are only looking at the other part of where bitcoin will go. Don't you even look at the way that bitcoin can go through all those predictions on the opposite way? There will be a chance that you are correct but it can happen during those times that all will do is to sell. But if this will not happen, it's either $15,000 , $20,000 or $40,000. Demand is getting higher now so that makes sense.
12962  Economy / Economics / Re: Still Buying Bitcoin at $10K? on: December 05, 2017, 09:18:15 PM
I wouldn't be buying a lot of Bitcoin at the moment because the reality is the price isn't going to go much higher before a big crash and it is super risky.
It's up to you and it's your choice if you don't want to buy at the peak of $10,000. The price now is still moving and will be on $12,000 soon. Bitcoin has been risky all the time and no one said there is no risk in buying bitcoin but that risk is one of the best risk that we had to take. $1,000 at the start of this year and now it is $11,000 and possible it can move further, that's the super risky you are talking about?
12963  Economy / Economics / Re: Best tip on saving money on: December 05, 2017, 12:07:54 PM
Hi guys! Can you share some tried and tested tricks on making the most out of your buck and also some tips on how to save money more effectively. This will be a heck of a help to our fellow users here. Thank you so much.

Make a list on your expenses first and every time you are getting your paycheck don't just shop it out. And also don't buy any unnecessary things when you have money on your pocket. Also try to think about your future so that you can make your goal possible. Others doesn't want to save their money in the bank but it's still a good way for you to save money. Plan on all the things that you want to buy before spending.
12964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So, PlexCoin just hit exchanges on: December 05, 2017, 11:40:30 AM
Well, now it should be clear:

Quote
SEC steps up scrutiny of digital coin sales with order to freeze 'PlexCoin' founders' assets
The Securities and Exchange Commission says it's obtained an emergency court order to freeze assets of those behind an initial coin offering that falsely promised a thirteenfold profit in less than a month.
Under that false promise, PlexCorps had raised up to $15 million from thousands of investors since August, the SEC says.

It's really sad to see so many people got scammed and $15 is just wow...

Source: https://www.cnbc.com/2017/12/04/sec-steps-up-ico-scrutiny-with-order-to-freeze-plexcoin-assets.html

Just watched a video that firstly made for them SEC did really hit them and it's just a scam. Good thing that SEC is now aware of these scams that are being abused by developers that are just jumping from one project to another so those legit projects will remain known and scams will be exposed.

People need to stop investing blindly in any project, understand what you are getting into before you invest into any project and don't invest what you can't be able to lose

Projects are hard to identify if they are scam but still better to rely on those who has trusted people in their back.
12965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why so many altcoins? on: December 05, 2017, 11:22:59 AM
hello!

why are there so many coins to choose from, do they really each have something unique about them?
When companies understand about cryptocurrencies they started to make their own coin that is associated with their products, shares and services. And that's how the altcoin industry is becoming popular because of partnerships and also the crowdfunding has been popular too. Cryptocurrency now is totally like the stocks market where you can choose your own bet and just do trade alone with it.
12966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Are Now Used in Crimes on: December 05, 2017, 11:07:14 AM
actually I just saw it on a documentary. they may be using anonymous bitcoin transactions, so they can make transactions for criminals freely. but for now, it may be tracked if there is no mixer inside.

My guess is that there's people out there trying to decipher some sort of code to try and track the criminals. However wouldn't they just be able to do this through their IP and active computer and device monitoring anyway?
I don't know how FBI works but remember on how did someone tracked silkroad and shuts it down. I watched a video related to it that the owner of that marketplace is also here in forum and the simple guy from the FBI did researched all of the things throughout the entire forum since bitcoin is the currency they used there. I'm not that much knowledgeable when it comes to these things, I just watched it.
12967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For how long btc will remean leader in crypto on: December 05, 2017, 10:46:48 AM
Bitcoin will remain as the leader of cryptocurrency as those altcoins out there got their idea to bitcoin. Even there are too many attempts that wants to replace bitcoin and do their own network but still bitcoin will remain til the end of our lives. All bitcoins will be mined after 100+ years so don't you think that it will be replaced. I believe that bitcoin will retain it's place for so long.
12968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: December 05, 2017, 09:04:54 AM
Hey if ETH is not a good ALT, then none of the ALTs are worth investing.

I would say that everyone should have ETH in their portfolio.
It's a good alt and one of the best alt to be considered and next to bitcoin, there are too many projects that are relating themselves to ETH by doing smart contracts. I agree with you that everyone must have ETH in their portfolio and the same with bitcoin as well. Lucky to those people that are holding since then when the price is quite low and look at it's price today, the same thing is happening like bitcoin.
12969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where do you find your news? on: December 04, 2017, 11:51:58 PM
Telegram is all you need to be in touch
No, it's not the only place you need to get good news. False news can be found there and as well as FUD, I don't rely with telegram or with a single website to get news. What I do is I keep on checking twitter accounts of crypto news website and comparing all of them. News bitcoin, cryptonews, cointelegraph, themerkle and others. It's better to read different news out there and also don't forget about the forum.
12970  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How to make 1 bitcoin in a month or 2? on: December 04, 2017, 11:39:27 PM
So... you are broke and want to earn 8000 a month working 2 hours per day. There are not that many legal alternatives to get that kind of money you know?
You know people nowadays wants to earn that much but they don't want to exert too much effort. Aiming that high amount for a month and by just giving a very small amount of time of doing so is something that is unrealistic now. The price of bitcoin is now high, so if OP still hopes to earn 1 bitcoin = $11,000 or 2 bitcoin = $22,000. I doubt it that with that effort he'll get that much.
12971  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will it hit 20K $ by end of 2017 on: December 04, 2017, 11:28:49 PM
If on the fifteen of this December bitcoin will hit $18,000 then that will be enough to see bitcoin hitting at $20,000. There is a chance that it will happen but chances are chances, there's no guarantee that it will happen. But base on what happened for the whole year, bitcoin has been increasing real quick from $1,000 - $3,000 quick and $3,000 - $5,000 and now we are at $11,000 close to $12k.

Chances are chances and anything could happen to the price. For all we know, it may even go down. It's really hard to tell and predict but looking at how far the price has gone this year, it seems to me that it has gone too high and perhaps it's time for it to stabilize a bit. I think that it may go down a bit, especially since it just hit an all time high of $10K already. The price increase has been so quick these past few months that it still surprises me. Who knows, it may surprise us again by the end of this year?

Chance of going down is there but there's nothing wrong if we will speculate with high price but it seems the price of bitcoin is starting to get down again. Before it was close to $12,000 and now it has been down to $10,800 so that's really volatile and we can't have a proper prediction on this thing. I'll just wait on that day as I mentioned if on December 15 price will be at $18,000 then $20k at the end of this year is possible.

I also think that it has a less chance to reach $20 000 by the end of the year. Bitcoin have climbed up almost reaching $12 000 and then suddenly goes down last week. Less than a month is too short for it to grow another $9 000 or more. Anyways, if it will grow to $20K, I won't mind if it will be next year because as far as I am concerned, bitcoin have already shown a huge growth for this year and I don't mind waiting.
There is still 27 days before this year ends and $20,000 is quite far on being seen. It has been down today at $11,500 while last time it was already good at $11,800. Whatever is stopping it to get into $12,000 we just have to keep on waiting until the price gets stable at $11,000. Growth for this year to bitcoin is great and though it was good already, everyone is asking for more.
$20,000? I guess bitcoin can't hit that amount this year, maybe it is possible on the next year 2018. But I think bitcoin value have a high possibility to touched the $12,000 or $12,500 this year, because their price now in the market are incredibly increasing.

I never doubted to the potential of bitcoin because I know that crypto currency was starting to become more famous in the digital industry. Moreover not only in digital world because even in the world offline currency they started to become more popular.
I know the fact that it's quite impossible to see it happening. There are a lot of times that we had speculated on $1,000 before and we didn't expected that it will go through $2,000 and now the price is good at $11,000. if it will pass to $20,000 for this year then that's fine but if it won't, it doesn't matter also. The most important thing here is that bitcoin having a good floor price is making everyone satisfied.
12972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting into bitcoin with only $25 on: December 04, 2017, 11:03:18 PM
I scraped together the little money I have and dove into bitcoin. My ambition is to make money trading altcoins and keep a bitcoin reserve. Can I even make it anywhere starting with such a small amount of money?
With that amount you can't make that much of what you are planning to do. That $25 fits with altcoins though but it's better for you to buy bitcoins now and wait for few weeks before seeing the profit. And once you had gained enough then you can start your own trades now with altcoins. There are various of altcoins to choose so you had to start first with those and take time to know what you really want.
12973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will you still buy at 10k on: December 04, 2017, 10:42:23 PM
I will keep on buying as long as I have spare money. Doesn't care about the current prices and I've been doing it since $200 though I don't have that much money but the good thing is that I invested to bitcoin. And looking at the prices now, it flashes back on how good in my feeling to get into bitcoin and bought some earlier. The same scenario is on where we are we right now. Just keep on on buying, today's price maybe cheap in the future.
12974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you a whale? on: December 04, 2017, 10:25:39 PM
Just curious. How much money do you need to be classified as a whale??  Grin Roll Eyes
Mostly you need 50+BTC to be considered as a whale but as the price of bitcoin is moving fast, having 10 bitcoin in your neighborhood will make you a whale. So others are telling 50BTC and it all depends on how you are going to describe what whale is and on how many bitcoins do they hold. But for the current whales out there most of them does have 1,000+BTC.
12975  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of futures trading on commodities and my worry for BTC on: December 04, 2017, 09:47:18 PM
I am very surprised by the forum's lack of response! Maybe its because no one understood my post or no cares that the CME's futures market will possibly be the spot market for basing BTC's price on.

They are taking over and that should be a red flag for us.
Maybe most of the people here doesn't that read much when it comes to this type of news and happenings. I'm a bit worried about this CME's futures market. Instead of adding more investors for the marketcap of bitcoin, they can just use futures and invest on it and speculate while earning not directly with bitcoin. AFAIK, it will be different and I guess you are right on this part.

the futures markets are slowly taking over and years from now holding a futures contract for BTC will be more valuable then holding BTC itself.
12976  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODL bitcoin? why and why not? on: December 04, 2017, 09:33:33 PM
HODL bitcoin? why and why not?
Yes HOLD Bitcoin, if you want to hold just hold! There's no definite reason that you must hold but if you are a person that is valuing your future, take time to study that when you hold today and the price surges up to $100,000 and you had enough during these times then congratulations.

You must not hold? Why? It's up to you, if you don't want to hold just sell with the current price it is still profit.
12977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be hacked? on: December 04, 2017, 02:46:19 PM
actually i want to know there is a possibility have to hack this supper e-money, because somebody hack it will be a huge effect for the economy.
pls give your valuable opinion. Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad
Wallets can be hacked but bitcoin itself can't. If you are trying to have an access to your wallet you must be careful of the website you are visiting. Popular exchanges and web wallets are targeted by phishers and they are making an exact look a like of these wallets where those people who are ignorant about it will just put their information and later on will be phished. That's how they are hacking so remember that and keep safe, bookmark those important exchanges that you are using.
12978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will Altcoins Survive on: December 04, 2017, 11:51:55 AM
Will Altcoins survive as bitcoin is going higher and higher and the demand is getting increasing every day, what will happens to altcoins
Alts will survive no matter how bitcoin is going to be up higher. Traders are just jumping from one coin to another to save losses and at the same time to gain profits. When bitcoin is rising, alts are getting down so most of them are diverting their funds to alt coin after selling their bitcoins so that they can buy cheaper altcoins and they are just doing the same thing when bitcoin is getting low.
12979  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Will hit 13k? on: December 04, 2017, 11:13:28 AM
Any possibilities for a 13k run since there is a new fork in BTC ?
There is another possibility that we can go at $13,000 and that is a really big one. Forks do help bitcoin a lot for having free money and investors are getting their nerve to those forked coins and just give value to it and although in the end they will still prefer to get back to bitcoin after taking some nice profits with it. And $13,000 is not the only price that we can go through, expect higher.

12980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Oh my God bitcoin reached 11000 on: December 04, 2017, 10:17:13 AM
The expectation of the cryptomaniacs has been fulfilled bitcoin reached 11000 dollars. What do you think about this news ? Is good or bad ?

Not yet fulfilled, there are more speculations that wants bitcoin to reach $20,000 and so on. I think about this news something good and helpful to the community and will make bitcoin even more popular. This is good for us who are holding some bitcoins at this way and this is bad for those people that are still doubting bitcoin and they knew it already when the price is still cheaper, I can't imagine what they are feeling right now.
We will be happy because more and more news like this then bitcoin prices will get a positive sentiment, this is very good because so investors and the public increasingly believe in bitcoin. I'm still waiting for the right time until everything can happen, I want to see a much better bitcoin price and the creation of a new record that can be profitable for anyone with bitcoin.
Adoption is taking place and it will be continuous so once we've been there the price of bitcoin will even reach another one. What's happening is in favor for those holders that are just keeping their bitcoins for themselves and for their future as well.

I think 11000 is not real value. I think you will rise to 40-50 thousand. the biggest increase in the market is valued quite nicely in this face
It's a real value mate for now but yes it can increase more.
