A new protocol is being built on top of bitcoin, not sure what the end result will be, but it sounds F-ing crazy, BUY BUY BUY!
12982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OFFICIAL LAUNCH: New Protocol Layer Starting From “The Exodus Address” on: July 31, 2013, 09:34:21 PM
Holy crap! People are actually sending me money!
http://blockchain.info/address/1EXoDusjGwvnjZUyKkxZ4UHEf77z6A5S4P

A LOT of money.

Holy holy crap batman.

 Cheesy

i'm sure you'll do very well, this idea is gr8!
12983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OFFICIAL LAUNCH: New Protocol Layer Starting From “The Exodus Address” on: July 31, 2013, 09:28:23 PM
I can buy some today, but i won't be able to play with them until you have implemented the client.

are you just starting this implantation?
how long do you think it will take to get this ready?
will it be open source?

right now this is me:

That is a very good question. It depends a lot on how much money I raise. Huge funds would imply I could move pretty quick. I'm not counting on that though. I'm anticipating a pretty small investment from the community, and a much slower rate of progress (see the risks document)

Definitely open source.

Also, I made that meme! Did you find it in my signature?

lol, yup  Smiley

SOMEONE SENT YOU 16BTC!!!

i'm trying to understand how its this basicly works...

lets say I send you 1 MasterCoin

the client will generate a BTC TX and add in some special notes to the TX, your system then scans the blockchain for these special notes to determine the balance of all the MasterCoin accounts?

if so, where will the funds come from to pay the BTC TX fee?
12986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OFFICIAL LAUNCH: New Protocol Layer Starting From “The Exodus Address” on: July 31, 2013, 08:31:11 PM
is there a windows client i can download?

i am eager to generate myself 100oz of non existent GOLD  and sell it on this crazy system!  Tongue

I would also be interested to know who in the Bitcoin has reviewed the paper, and what was their general sentiment about it.

all i've seen about this project is this post, i am interested, i'm not sure i like the idea that my MasterCoin are sold at a fixed price by 1 central authority, and the fact that the MasterCoins are piggybacked on the blockchain, why not create a new Alt Coin?
12988  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will my f*cking Silver be worth something? on: July 31, 2013, 07:55:26 PM

Shoot man, I'm sorry. I would love to be able to finance it but I don't think I can afford it. I only have half a metric ton of silver : /

Don't worry we'll sell your car.

can you point me to the thread where you confess your love for her?
12989  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: July 31, 2013, 06:03:11 PM
go ahead, trade on this "if it happened b4 it will happen again" nonsense

You mean the part where everyone knows Bitcoin will recover and rise to new incredible highs?  Grin

it has been up since 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012

and prices in 2009<2010<2011<2012<2013

Yup, but "someone" here thinks we can't base our expectation on the past.  Wink

you can't, if so we could expect to go up 20,000% in 4 years

nonsense, nonsense, nonsense

just look at the last 6 months of trading, understand why price moved the way it did, look around at what is happening now on the dev side of things, and then speculate.

I didn't say X%, I said Bitcoin will recover and rise to new incredible highs.

well sure,

but it has very little to do with past price movement.
and everything to do with development, growth, increased confidence and or increased fear of collapsing fiat.

we are at an important resistance point and ask depth doesn't seem to be sufficient, in fact there are less coins for sale then i have ever seen, and i'm convinced that buyers have lot more money than they are leading us to believe. 180 isn't far off.
12993  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: July 31, 2013, 04:36:34 PM
i don't understand the numbers on the y-axis.

its the price on log scale.

the chart is from 2011 when bitcoin was "dead or dying"

anyone think bitcoin will be dead within 6 months?
thats what everyone was thinking in 2011...

go ahead, trade on this "if it happened b4 it will happen again" nonsense

if i dump my money in bitcoin, you think my wife will see a penny of that money, during the divorce?

I'll say " I was pissed off so i gambled it all away "

12998  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will my f*cking Silver be worth something? on: July 31, 2013, 02:29:29 AM

I could but it'd have to be an alloy. Silver is a soft metal. I'd make one for MPOE-PR for free. And just because I'd like to give a valuable dildo, I'll melt my silver down (I wonder if MPOE-PR knew you could do that?)and make sure it's one even kilogram. That big enough you think?

If MPOE-PR doesn't likes it i'll take it off from your hands and melt it again to get some nice jewelery and a silver rose to propose MPOE-PR.  Grin

 Roll Eyes

Edit: I just proposed her.

I hope she says yes. I wouldn't mind accept donations from all members for our marriage and i told her that jhonnywalker is going to finance our marriage.

 Grin

/dev/null: I love you
MPOE-PR: Prove it, * big long detailed explanation as to exactly how she expects you to prove it (which involves signing a msg with PGP), and the criteria you must meet to even be considered   *

MtGox-Bitstamp spread keeps widening. First, 5% was normal, then 8% and now it seems to be 10%.

MtGox has created a perpetuum mobile to give us infinite mtgoxUSD!

I have done a fair sum of arbitrage trade between bitstamp -> mtgox last few weeks.. Now I am patiently waiting to withdraw my mtgoxUSD.

you MUST keep us informed, so many people have been asking for a confirmation that mtgox withdraw does eventually get processed.

A moderator acting like a total clown is what's bothering me. It should bother you as well.
I don't have any issue with Blitz. He's a good moderator. Surely, his predictions were mostly wrong, but everyone has only 50% chance of guessing right.
My predictions were also mostly wrong even though I never told about them on forum.

Your attitude seems childish and too emotional to me. Your posts most of the time don't bring anything new into discussion, and usually are just filled with hate.
Not only towards speculation, but your recent posts about astrology also were mostly rage-based.

So my action: Ignore.

My problem with Blitz was less the predictions and more the rhetoric. I didn't consider "there will be blood" etc to be suitable for a moderator, assuming one of the agenda items of a mod might be to prevent newbies being burned by FUD. I don't think shroomsy and I were the only ones to comment on that.

Anyway, I was wrong in that assumption -- and it doesn't matter anyway. Everything looks better when you're right. :-)

Blitz is always welcome on this thread

He often bring interesting information to the table

MtGox-Bitstamp spread keeps widening. First, 5% was normal, then 8% and now it seems to be 10%.

MtGox has created a perpetuum mobile to give us infinite mtgoxUSD!
+1

And I really don't mind his bearishness atm its kinda funny, He sold a good number of coins ( i'm guessing well below 120 ) and we will soon see him take a loss and buy back on the way up , this should be entertaining Cheesy

This thread welcomes bears to make their case and adding in some rhetoric to the post is fine, bulls do the same damn thing...
