Again, I could be way out of line here, but look at this for a minute. And this is the cream of the crop. There are 'conferences' all over the place, doing 'talks' ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.evbuc.com%2Feventlogos%2F213320726%2Fblockchaineconomicforum2018.16feb22update28229.png&t=664&c=rsd-3ROB2MfIIA) Really? Is this Bitcoin now? 'FinTech'. Give me one good reason. It's not amazing.

Should be called 'How to implement an inefficient Blockchain in 99.99% of use cases where all I needed was a Relational Database" ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi.imgflip.com%2F25j2lk.jpg&t=664&c=l5XFNtKirU5DPw) Meanwhile MSM is publishing puff pieces like this: Blockchain is tech you can build a career around While 2017 was considered a time of experimentations for the still-evolving technology, as businesses came to see both its benefits and challenges, this year is considered a crucial year as enterprises move from proof-of-concept projects to full blockchain deployments.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, leave it to Harvard to confuse the shit out of you. https://www.summer.harvard.edu/courses/introduction-art-cryptography/34153Middle ground is hard to find in this...industry? Is that the right word? I mean, the field is full of brilliant minds, but the business is more or less parasitical on Bitcoin. imho Aww yeah. Stereo pair of hydrophones and a stereo pair of contact mics on the way. Looking forward to going out into the field and doing some recordings for esoteric source materials.
Looking forward to getting into writing some new electronic/industrial music \m/
Finally making the trek to Texas this weekend. Fuck this snow.
Congratulations on your happiness. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

also Harmonized Tax sounds Orwellian
It's when two taxes come together peacefully to make one big tax. It makes it easier. See? ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)

I don’t really see anything wrong with that? Some people are busy and handy to have it packaged for them?
Edit: BTC dominance 40%.
It furthers what seems to me to be the mistaken assumption that block chaining all the things is somehow interesting or adds some kind of efficiency. Does it?

A page full of musicians got in early. I hope you hedge fund-types are hearing this. ![Kiss](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/kiss.gif) I always found it hard to play with more than one guitarist. They tend to go off on long jammy tangents without telling me. I guess my ear wasn't good enough to pick up the chord changes quick enough.
It's hard to imagine having another guitar in our outfit. It is a hell of a lot of noise the way it is. Imagine a second drummer. Like a musical nightmare!

<snippage ensues>
I quit my last "job" in 1976. I still continued making pretty good money playing music in bars. I never considered it to be work. It was a hobby for which I was paid. I earned money for traveling, meeting people, partying and a lifestyle of sex&drugs&rock&roll. Above all, it was fun.
Cheers, Jimbo! I've played about 450 (4-hour) gigs in the last 6 years, in addition to the 40-50 hours a week slave labor. I dearly love it, but I'm hauling a rebuilt 1962 Leslie cab (internally miced, line out to the PA), assorted keyboards (occasionally a real Hammond) and I live a 30 minute drive from any town. It's still fun, but I quit for time to help with aging parents, that are 15 years older than you. I haven't played for 2 months, and that's an itch that hurts. There's some jams around, I am looking for one. I can run with "slow 6/8, I/IV/V in G, let's go". The easy stuff. I always found it hard to play with more than one guitarist. They tend to go off on long jammy tangents without telling me. I guess my ear wasn't good enough to pick up the chord changes quick enough.

@DanDarkPill 24 hours ago https://twitter.com/DanDarkPill/status/968513793855836162The @wizsecurity Craig Wright/Kleiman blog post has been altered in the last 4 hours. Roger Ver's name has been removed from the list of address owners, now simply reads "MtGox user" @WhalePanda 23 hours ago Replying to @DanDarkPill @wizsecurity But it's a known RV address, it was the one he send coins from to Bitfinex to pump BCash in November. @billybob730 21 hours ago Replying to @DanDarkPill @wizsecurity In addition, check out the background of the WizSec team. Most are now employed by Roger Ver. Emil Oldenburg former WizSec partner is now CTO of http[]://Bitcoin.com Daniel Kelman was a co-founder of WizSec. I hope none of you are actually believing anything you are reading.
I'm not even reading it. It's fucking schoolgirl drama, why would anyone waste their time. I'm fucking retired and couldn't be bothered to read it !!!(doesn't feel real yet. still dealing with sick cat, who is getting better - recovering from pneumonia, but requires daily vet visits for the week for shots. Picked a perfect time to retire...) EDIT: Treating pneumonia in cats isn't cheap. Blew $2k on the furry bastard already. Not complaining at all. I call bullshit.

Scronty on the future: "But who will code it ?" (2) said. "I've been telling the others that I'm creating code that will put into practice the ideas in the white paper. They're really interested to see if I can pull it off. If you don't code it who can ?" "That's a SEP," I said. "What's a SEP ?" (2) asked. "A SEP is Somebody Else's Problem," I said. "It's when something's on the edge of your peripheral vision and your subconscious refuses to admit it exists." "What ?" (2) asked. "Go read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy again," I said. "That's not going to help me right now in having an example coded up," (2) said. "How about you try and contact Hal," I said.
