If you do ever decide to try the route of no monitors just make sure you remember to make dummy plugs to keep the cards running at full power and not to down clock into 2d mode.

I don't use any plugs and have never experienced any problems.  Care to elaborate?

Years ago I had to do this but not with any recent GPUs.

Only time I've had to use any plugs is in mixed nVidia/AMD systems which is far to much work!

I have one rig with a R9 280x, R9 270x and R9 270.

The other day it locked up and I had to drag a monitor down to see what was going on. It was stuck at the boot screen.

Long story short I forgot to plug the dummy plug back into the 280x and it would only mine at half speed. I posted about it after a couple of days because I could not figure it out. Ivan suggested to try and use one and it made me remember I took it out to plug the monitor in. Low and behold I go downstairs and the dummy plug is sitting on the end table. I plugged it back into the the 280x and, bam, she is mining back at full speed (it was just the 280x having the problem, not the whole rig).

Don't know why it caused it to do it but the plug worked. I actually have at least 1 plug in a card in each rig just to make sure. I guess I am overly cautious. Any down time or half speed downtime is frustrating.

EDIT: I am running windows 7 so I don't know if that is a problem or not.

If using windows, don't forget to select the 'high performance' power plan...that's the cherry on top (someone has already mentioned having the display stay on).

I will try this on one rig and see if it works as a test for the others with different settings on each and try to find something to work.

No I do not have anything better. Just curious as I am ripping apart half of the basement of my house to set up a mining room as I have outgrown my office and wondered your use.

I had them in the garage during the winter but now it's summer for me so I have all 4 in different rooms of the house.

Also I like TeamVeiwer since I don't have monitors hooked up to 3 of them. This way I can see everything on my main rig.

Great idea

EDIT: I beleive I have my problem figured out with the "time out" issue.

What did you find?  Problem solved or not?

In that advanced tab section at towards the bottom there is a box under More that says "Disable TeamViewer shutdown". I checked it and will see how it goes.

Also just for kicks on the mining machine go into power settings in control panel and change the settings for "Choose when to turn off the display".  Set everything to NEVER.

Seen this last one help some people also regardless of Teamviewer usage.

Carlo

That "Disable TeamVeiwer shutdown" didn't work. So will keep trying.

I also have the monitor to never sleep or never turn off.

It is just a minute bug for me. Everything else works perfect though.

Is version 1.0.1.0 the correct version of the wallet to be using?
1308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 09, 2014, 03:14:26 AM
In teamviewer make sure you are running latest version 9.0.28223

Click Extras->Options
On new dialog box click Advanced on left and the Show advanced button if needed
Scroll down to Advanced network options
There is an option "Install monitor driver"  (can just as easily be uninstalled).

Try installing it and see if that helps.  Also check hash rates to make sure they don't get affected.

I've got Teamviewer on close to 10 machines I'm mining with running Win7 to Server 2012 R2 and have no problems with it at all.

I did have two machines a while back that would reboot on their own.  Turned out I was pushing them to hard with OC.  They were not running hot but once I ran them back closer to default OC settings I was fine.

IMHO most problems of this nature are GPU issues.  Not all cards are created equal and may need to get slowed down a bit.

Carlo

You might be the man to ask this.

I have it running on all 4 of my rigs and I have one slight issue trying to figure out.

When sitting at my main computer I have the other 3 open so I can always see them. But they "time out" and I have to go back in and open them back up. Do you know of a setting in TeamVeiwer to prevent the "time out". I can't find it or even google the right thing to look for.

And you seem like the person to ask this to:

Why are so many people accessing their rigs through Teamviewer or any other remote desktop software? People have their rigs somewhere else besides their own place?

Me, actually I will be.

The father in law is willing to let me set up rigs and a few future asics at his place to help with electricity.

So I need to be able to control everything from my phone while at work or wherever I am at.

It is such an easy thing to create bats and drop the on a machine miles away and switch whenever I want to do something different.

If you have something better that will work and I can remote control from my phone or tablet I am willing to try it. Oh and as easy as TeamVeiwer.

EDIT: I beleive I have my problem figured out with the "time out" issue.

I have updated wallet Flux-QT 1.0b, but it is v1.0.0.0-g-beta like older one.

After block 22000 forked - diff 0.000244, solomining all blocks

Tried to delete blockchain and synchronize again, but still wrong fork. Can somebody post correct nodes to synchronize?

Or is this coin really dead?.

Any update to this. Same issue with the wallet.

Or is it time to abandon this coin? This is like the 4th coin the last couple of weeks to fork and the dev is no sight to be seen.

I am showing block 40,558 in my wallet

Bump for update.

Are you making a compiled version for windows? I don't see it in the post.

P.S. once you're done you can claim the bounty.

Hmm, I hold more BBR than this bounty Wink

Sorry maybe I missed the BBR launch but I still don't get what the fuss about this coin.
Ok from the technical point they have some innovations, but innovation alone in crypto is not the selling point.
Others sides of this coin turn me off so much like 10% dev fee (someone corrects me if I'm wrong) and this coin's terrible name. Sounds like a joke coin.
And only simplerminer for CPU is working now, which only cryptonight mineable?? So how to mine with wild keccak ? djm34 are you mining this coin too?

nope, I don't mine it. The name and logo was a no go (totally discarded because of that and the stupid logo, didn't even look at what it was until very recently). I don't think any coin ever inspired so much disinterest (especially based on the name) than this one. (and I am even not joking  Grin went to the thread thought "what's that crap ?" moved to the next thread ).

I am waiting for a pool though

Why does it always seem that these are the coins that hit big when they go to an exchange. Ex. Mugatu, I seen that and Cloak and thought to myself "Why?" and moved on. I need to start mining these coins but then my "Why?" would come true and I would have wasted my time.

That is the kind of luck I have I guess. I could have been a thousandaire by now, a high thousandaire.

So anyone have a working link for the last version of the windows qt wallet?

Link in op doesn't work.

pitythe pool seems broke no blocks for almost an hour and seems last blocks found by unknown and no shares submitted for blocks. Looks like pool needs fixing.
multi-pool working nice

Same here but I can't connect to multi-pool anymore. Did something change with their port or stratum?

Nevermind. I am back up.
1316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: June 05, 2014, 03:16:19 AM
I've mined before but with 280x and i've seen that with 750 Ti on X11 algo reach 2,1-2,2 Mhrate but i don't know how to configure ccminer or bat file

Thanks it;s working 1,9-2 Mh rate can u help me with O.C settings
BTW, if you OC to much you'll notice that ccminer goes nuts with high hash rates (off the chart high), will crash or you'll see strange errors.  Just back off a bit.
Hope this helps,
Carlo
Does anyone know the fix again for this problem.  My multicard rig like clockwork will go nuts with highhashrates after some time.  This is running stock clocks.  At the minimum is there a ccminer command that can restart it every 2 hours or so?  I can't find the page that discussed this solution.
How many GPU's and what OS?
Windows 8.1, AMD A6, 8gb Ram, usb powered risers.  (usb risers are plugged into 4pin molex because i'm not sure if they work without being plugged in).

-I know it happens with 4 or 5 cards in the rigs (haven't reduced the cards to 1 or 2 to see if they can hash stable).  Happens on both a 500watt corsair and 600watt corsair rig.  Used both the last 2 latest Nvidia drivers, no change.

The other thing that happens and others have noticed as well is that 1 or more of the 750ti's will downclock to a very low clock speed.  The 2 symptoms are probably related.

I thought there was some programming fix for this but it's lost in the thread.
EDIT:  I've studied it and essentially one of the cards is crapping out or dropping the driver and the makes the card drop to 500mhz clock.  This then causes all the other cards to lose stratum and the hashing goes wild for all the other cards. The card downclocking is the number 1 card position in EVGA precision.  Does that mean it is in the first riser spot or the last x16 PCIe slot?

What you can try (no guarantee it will work) is to set the parameter SHARED in some .cu file to 0
(I know this solved temporarily some problems I had with my gtx780ti, however I just had to decrease the overclock as my problem was caused by excessive overclocking and the symptoms were different (loss of power then driver crash))

You might have mentioned this but make sure you do not plug more than 2 cards into the daisy chain. Those things aren't supposed to carry that much current in them.

I have absolutely no problem running 5 on a 550 watt power supply.

I had 9 copies of Watch Dogs for buying the Evga Super Clock 750ti from Fry's.

That must be Fry's own offer then since I can't see it on any other retailer. Did you also get the 3 x in game credits as well?

If so, that's a nice big saving for 9 cards Smiley

I got Watch Dogs and DayLight. But Daylight was only going for around $10 on Ebay.

I believe it might be Fry's also. Since when I sell the code it does have FRYS as part of the code.

At least that is the game code I have been getting. the DayLight expired.

According to Nvidia, the 750 Ti and non-Ti version are not included in the free  Watch_Doges (Cheesy) promotion...
