1301  Economy / Gambling / Re: My list of good crypto casinos on: March 28, 2023, 09:02:14 AM
the most important thing is that casinos that are on this forum must at least have an ANN thread which is very useful, for example, for promotions, updates on casino developments, or other things about the development of the casino itself.
so the ANN is very important for the future of the casino that is here and having this ANN thread makes it easier for new customers to find the casino.
so those threads make it possible to make it easier for the casino in terms of getting more customers.
I will add one more important thing, if the casino have create an ANN thread in this forum, they're serious with their business and they need to deal with any replies towards them either it's about complaint, suggestion, etc that will convince gambler to try their site. If the casino doesn't have any ANN thread, there's no way we can discuss the casino, somebody can create a new thread about the casino but there's no representative joined the discussion, that's mean our discussion might be useless.
1302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing looses Vs Finding closure: Any difference? on: March 28, 2023, 08:55:45 AM
There's no difference, most people finding closure when they're hit a big multipliers, casing looses is also similar where they're looking to hit a big multipliers that will help them to earn profit. It's better to setup a betting time e.g. a hour or two hours, after you've gamble for a hour or two hours, you need to stop to gamble regardless the result of your last bet. If you're not do this, you're not discipline about your gambling habit.
1303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everything is cyclical and repetitive. Bitcoin is no exception on: March 28, 2023, 08:09:20 AM
Satoshi already predict the future of Bitcoin from a long time ago.

I'm sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume.

He was said that in 2010, we're only need to wait the next 7 years more in order to see Bitcoin is really have very large transaction volume or nothing. However he was said about volume, not the price. Maybe Satoshi thought Bitcoin could be a currency and adopted by many countries, because when Bitcoin is adopted become a legal tender, obviously it will encourage people to use it for daily life.
1304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why I might consider selling my Bitcoin. on: March 28, 2023, 07:54:03 AM
Unfavorable government policies: If the government of my country decides to ban the holding or use of bitcoin, I might be forced to dispose of them. I will not want to be hiding from law enforcement agencies or risk being arrested. I don't wish this to happen but if it does, I will have to take that hard and painful decision.
I agree with the rest except this one

There are many countries which have completely ban Bitcoin, but after Bitcoin is widely accepted many countries, they're consider to unban Bitcoin. When the government announce to completely ban Bitcoin, it would create a panic and I think the P2P platform on your country don't mind to sell Bitcoin at discount rate. I will not do this, I will choose to hold Bitcoin in private or move to other country.
1305  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: fellas be careful from this kind of scams! - READ on: March 27, 2023, 01:11:27 PM
You can smell whether it's scam or not by just looking at the thread created, a scam thread most likely have these signs:
1. Created by a newbie account or high ranked account with negative trust.
2. Self moderated thread or suddenly lock the topic.
3. Using unnecessary features e.g. poll, message icon, emojis etc.

If you see such kind thread, you need to be careful and act like an investigator who's ask a lot questions in order to know everything and make convince you if the @OP isn't a scammer.
1306  Economy / Gambling / Re: What else should an established crypto casino add? on: March 27, 2023, 12:52:53 PM
I'm not saying it's fighting money laundering, it's just that casinos are always vigilant in that case and we do know that online casinos are not the best destination, but who knows if someone is doing that in one of the casinos?
It is indeed very rare that someone gambles using money laundered from money laundering but casino vigilance is always at the forefront for the future of the casino itself.
If that happens, of course, casinos will be threatened with closing by certain countries because of accusations such as covering up evil acts of money laundering in their casinos.
From this case the casino imposed KYC on every customer who deposited large funds at one of the casinos to verify the source of customer funds.
The criminal who want to laundry his money isn't have any intention to gamble on the casino, but he just want to meet the minimum wagering amount in order to withdraw without get flagged by the system.

KYC isn't the best solution to fight money laundering, but it's add another barrier in order the criminal will be harder to escape and hide his identity. The only way the casino to fight money laundering is confiscate the funds and terminate the account without anyway to recover it, but most people will call the casino is scam.
1307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does your country tax your gambling winnings? on: March 27, 2023, 12:35:47 PM
I think any countries which have a taxation rule about gambling will be charged high because the government think it's easy to make money there since it doesn't need a lot effort, although they're not quite right because not all gambling games are lucky based, the other games e.g. poker, sports etc need to have a skill and analysis. There are also countries which ban gambling, they can gamble on the crypto casino because the country isn't blacklisted, but the country is blacklisting about gambling. So it doesn't make sense if they want to pay gambling tax since he might go to jail.
1308  Other / Meta / Re: Report plagiarism (copy/paste) here. Mods: please give temp or permban as needed on: March 27, 2023, 09:55:06 AM
I think that user called Susano copied it from somewhere else and then when his thread got blocked, a little later another user called New@User creates a new thread and quotes him.
According to BPIP Susano got banned at the same date where he posted this post, I thought he wouldn't get banned because he was write "Quote" on the post, moderators saying if a poor quotation is still accepted and wouldn't get a punishment. Maybe he got banned on the other post since the merit he got belong to deleted post.

But New@User high likely will end up in the same path like Susano because there's no sign if he was took from the other source.
1309  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism Vs Scam on: March 27, 2023, 09:37:01 AM
Based on several cases that I saw in that "report plagiarism" thread where members got banned and one even nuked (iirc you reported that nuked guy), I think that forum staff already decided how to deal with ChatGPT users and took the stance on that. Tricky part is to actually prove beyond reasonable doubt that someone used the bot and it will take some time before tools get reliable enough.
I think the moderators haven't decided how to deal with post generated by ChatGPT, but it's just because the content generated by ChatGPT has been exposed if some part was took from the other article. As been mentioned by @mprep here, so my assumptions if someone have created a post generated by ChatGPT and it's really looks like created by human, it's fine since no one able to investigate it.

If an AI is able to consistently create content that doesn't break any of the forum's rules (good quality, on-topic, not just a padded word salad, no plagiarism, etc, etc), I, for one, welcome our new machine overlords. Otherwise, content that violates the rules, AI or human produced, can already be dealt with with our current rules and policies in mind.
1310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The future of CBDC in gambling. on: March 26, 2023, 07:43:31 AM
I think the bright side if the casino want to accept CBDC is the casino wouldn't scam and if they scam, the government can easily trace him because the owner must have conduct KYC verification before accepting CBDC. So anyone who gamble on this casino doesn't need to worry if the casino will turn scam at anytime. But don't be surprised if you have earn a lot money through gambling, you can't withdraw all of your winnings because some portion is to pay tax.
1311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are Casino Sites Cheating Us? on: March 26, 2023, 07:38:24 AM
They can manipulate their system and make us losers and if they can do that we have nothing to do. Gambling on casinos is very risky as if any admin sees a large amount then they can manipulate it though for the small amount they do not manipulate it. And it does not depend on all the casinos. I think blackjack will not do this type of manipulation for only 1k dollars.
You're just making an assumptions, how it's possible the casino can manipulate their system if they give a way to us how to verify each bet using cryptography and the bet is differ from one to another. If you tend to lose when you bet with high amount money and you tend to win when you bet with small amount money, it's just based on your luck and you're not gamble so long when you bet with small amount money.
1312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about this? on: March 26, 2023, 07:26:44 AM
I will say, okay then what? Tongue

A pastor shouldn't gamble because it's forbidden, but does he will go to jail after shut down his ministry? nope, his followers will not happy with him but life goes on and he can migrate to other country if he can't accept society sanction.

It's what it's, the current society is more focus to make more money even though they need to scam their friends or doing anything illegal.
1313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why was BITCOIN invented? on: March 26, 2023, 05:14:21 AM
But I want to ask you, what are you looking at bitcoins? I can say that 99% of market participants are for profit. If bitcoin were used only as currency or as a payment method, many people would not need it, and it would not be as popular as today. Most of the market participants are attracted by the profits that bitcoin makes, and I bet you are here for the profits too. Don't be heroic here. On this forum, only some veteran members consider bitcoin as a currency, and they encourage people to use it daily, the rest is for profit.
It's true majority of people are only looking for profit when they're buy Bitcoin, it's not wrong but if they're not understand about Bitcoin, they will blame Bitcoin when bear market happen or the price goes opposite against your speculation. That's why it's better to understand about Bitcoin and know the other reason why you're want to invest in Bitcoin.

You might never experienced a problem with your banks or centralized site, that's why you're don't need Bitcoin as a currency. In Bitcoin you can pay to anyone in this world, without need to worry about limit or restrict from banks or centralized site.
1314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Bitcoin transaction is irreversible. on: March 26, 2023, 04:50:10 AM
You trust every single employee of the bank to keep that KYC information private?

If they have it, there is always a risk of it being leaked either intentionally (for a court subpoena), or accidentally (if they are hacked, or have an upset employee). If you can avoid the KYC, you decrease your risk of information leak a bit, but depending on the service they may still store significant amounts of information about you (IP address, general geographic locations, Bitcoin addresses, size and frequency of transactions, etc).
I'm not trusting every single bank's employee, but since the most common way to cash out your Bitcoin are through banks. Cash out gift card, trade P2P with trusted person or directly spent it are possible, but it just harder and takes time.

I understand, but my point about to protect our privacy aren't for crime or avoid paying tax, but it just simply make criminal is harder to get our private information. If I use Tor to trade Bitcoin in decentralized exchange, my IP address will not compromised.

If the criminal only know Bitcoin address, size and frequency of transactions, they still don't have a way to know who I'm.

1316  Economy / Gambling / Re: TRUSTDICE: up to $25 FREE BONUS [NO DEPOSIT REQUIRED] Forum EXCLUSIVE! on: March 25, 2023, 11:42:18 AM
Now if I analyze what you are saying, it seems that the Trustdice management is telling the truth more than you, because they are giving an update on the issue they have with you here in the forum ann their thread section here, at this point that is pretty okay for me because they become transparent if they are doing any investigation on your complaint.
It's not surprising anymore when a gambler trying to play victim around the casino in order to get his winnings, but he don't want to admit if he was break the rule and act accordingly.

Props to @Coinbox1 for continuing to give a transparent evidence while the accused gambler doesn't provide any evidence and keep attacking the casino. I think this case is already clear and we need to ignore @alol1986.
1317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Placing bet on WWE on: March 25, 2023, 11:35:17 AM
I don't really know much about WWE now because it's been a long time since I've followed this considering the last time I did was back in high school and it happened to be quite a while. Talking about the actual bet, I still don't really see well about this, especially with a number of conditions where it is clearly set to be difficult. I think being in the boxing or MMA betting is way more worth it in this case.
WWE is still exist and you can watch on Youtube, but WWE isn't hype anymore because many people leave it due to scripted matches. Yeah boxing and MMA seems to be a real fight and doesn't manipulated, but usually the judges make a controversial scorecard and many people tend to accuse the scorecard being robbed since they thought the loser should be won and the winner should be lost.
1318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the biggest problem you think AI can fix in gambling on: March 25, 2023, 11:30:46 AM
I think AI could be used as a way to help minimize the addiction on gambling. I don't know much about the technical side of this but my idea is that AI could be a way to assess each individuals habit and probably finances since it could suggest ways to make you not lose all your money and as well not be addicted since there are signs before you reach that.
It doesn't need AI to detecting an addict, but the current technology can be used because the casino can create a system where they recorded any deposit, withdrawal, every bet, and time frame of the gambler in big data. Then if they have set a limit, any account which exceed the limit will trigger their system and that's depends on the casino's team if they want to freeze the account or let the gambler to gamble or withdraw.
1319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quoting sales prices in Bitcoin on: March 25, 2023, 10:00:34 AM
If the price drops, then the buyer gets the chance to save even more by paying in Bitcoin - this assumes that he will purchase the Bitcoin, rather than spending coins that he already has. If the price looks like increasing, then he will be under pressure to make an early purchase, as holding off will increase the price he will have to pay in Fiat terms.

I am in the UK, and I have a Sterling bank account. The buyer could be anywhere in the world, and is unlikely to have direct access to Sterling deposits.
This is the advantage when the buyer is using Bitcoin because if he's use his local bank to transfer to international bank or using PayPal, he will get charged a lot fees. If he's use Bitcoin, he can minimize overpaying fee when he use a non custodial wallet.

And yeah when the Bitcoin price is keep increasing, many people don't want to spend it especially for Bitcoin holder who have accumulated Bitcoin from the beginning. For me, Bitcoin is better to use as an international payment.
1320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Bitcoin transaction is irreversible. on: March 25, 2023, 09:48:46 AM
Bitcoin is the same.
Either you can send the transaction back voluntarily, or I can force you to send it back under threat, or I can illegally take your private key from your storage location without your permission.

The one benefit that Bitcoin has over other CURRENCIES in this regard is that it can be protected with a password, and the private key can be much easier to store in ways that make it significantly more difficult than physical currencies to take.
I think you're pretty much talking about $5 wrench attack, not about Bitcoin network can reverse your transaction if you ask someone who control Bitcoin, and no one is controlling Bitcoin. If you have protect your privacy and never submitted any KYC except your bank account, I don't think you can figure out who's behind the Bitcoin address because decentralized exchange or P2P platform will not give you their customer identity to unknown person.

Mobile banking and debit/credit card are protected with PIN code, I think PIN code and password are similar since it's too add more security layer.

However I agree with the other statements you pointed above.
