1301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: African teams at Qatar. on: December 17, 2022, 10:08:48 AM
LOL.. when I first saw this thread, not even in my wildest dreams I imagined that it will stay alive up to the very end of the competition. To be fair, I wasn't expecting any of the African teams to progress from the group stage. And now we have Morocco who will play tomorrow against Croatia for the 3rd place. And it is going to benefit them financially as well. If they end up with the 3rd price, they will receive $27 million. Even in case they lose, there is no need to get disappointed. The fourth placed team will be getting $25 million from the FIFA.

African teams have always been underrated because of their inability to lift the world cup trophy so it's not a new thing if no one expected the African teams to get to this point. I was expecting Senegal and Ghane to get to the knockout stage but the injury of Mane deter a lot of fans including me who were expecting a good performance from Senegal here we are today celebrating the progress of Morocco who did not just make it to the knock out stage but went ahead to reach the semifinals with a brilliant display in the field of play.

The possibility of Morocco winning against the Croatian team tomorrow is high because following their performance in the competition I don't see Croatia who was poor in performance against Argentina defeating them but even though they lose tomorrow the money is nothing to be compared with the honor and pride they have given Africa but I believe Morocco will win tomorrow against Croatia.
I think the African nations are getting better and improving immensely. In the old days it was even more difficult to get this far in a world cup competition but now things are a lot better. I think there is hope for a better future for the African nations. Senegal, Ghana and now Morocco have shown that it is possible, hopefully Nigeria will be part of this list in the near future. I hope Morocco can make history against Croatia tomorrow, it will be so exciting to witness Morocco finish 2nd runner up in the 2022 world cup.

Ferran Torres to Barcelona was a shocking transfer to me, I didn't see it coming and until now I still wonder why Manchester city opted to sell Ferran Torres to Barcelona knowing how good he was playing for Manchester City. Too bad he is struggling for games at Barcelona, I bet he will be wishing he had stayed back and remained at Manchester city where he was getting enough game time. Good news for him, Arteta seems to be interested in Ferran Torres as a prospective replacement for Gabriel Jesus.
Ferran Torres is a precocious player, but the truth is that he was not getting enough playing time in Manchester City, back then Pep even opted to play without a striker, sending Ferran Torres way down the pecking order at City, he saw an opportunity to move to a club like Barcelona and he took it, City saw the money Barcelona were offering and they had to take it, both parties were happy. Mind you that when Ferran arrived at Barcelona, the club didn't have many of the players they have now, and he was playing regularly then, but last summer Barcelona bought quite a lot of players, including striker Lewandowski, and Ferran now has to manage a place on the bench as he mostly comes on as a substitute.

Having said that, if Arsenal are interested in him, then he could grab the opportunity and come back to the EPL, quite a lot of attackers have been linked with Arsenal this January, including Athletico Madrid's Joao Felix, i'd prefer the Portuguese sign for Arsenal rather than Ferran Torres, he is a better player imo, but the window will open soon and we'd see the new faces that would arrive at the Emirates.
I wouldn't blame him for moving though, If he wasn't getting enough playing time at Manchester City as you say then it is enough reason to accept a move away especially to an elite club like Barcelona. With the top competition in the Barcelona team a move to Arsenal would be a good move because he is likely to flourish at Arsenal and get more playing time.

Maybe Ten Hag is trying to find new players who have a background from the Netherlands who seem to have better playing abilities, but Ten Hag is still trying to keep looking for players who are young but have very good playing skills so that when on the field he will being very aggressive for Manchester United.
Ten Hag will be another version of Louis Van Gaal in Old Trafford. It is reasonable when a coach wants to work with their previous teams (medical staffs, scouts for example) and with favorite players in their previous club.

With Ten Hag, Manchester United will likely have a next few seasons with bright future for their young players from Carrington and their academy. The Dutch coach has good record to give opportunities for young players in Ajax Amsterdam and grow them up. Van de Beek, Frankie de Jong, Mathis de Ligt, Ziyech and a few more players became star players with training and guide from Ten Hag.

A two most possible players from Netherlands can join Manchester United are Memphis Depay and Cody Gakpo. What do you think about these Dutch players? One is old and one is young.
Well you have said it all about Erik Ten Hag and his similar transfer style likened to Luis Van Gaal's style. It is normal to see managers moving to a new club to carry his staff and coaching crew along to the new club but to be sincere I don't see any possibility of Memphis Depay returning back to united after a failed spell at Manchester United, it is possible that Gakpo could make a move but Depay is a doubt.

Until now there were no recent news for Newcastle target players because this team were lack of rumours to upcoming transfer window but to support the current squad in my opinion they have to buy at least one or two famous players and i think it's necessary because after international break ended Premier League will be more competitive because i am sure some of big teams such as Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool or Chelsea will attempts to improved their weaknesses with buy new players
But at least Newcastle has successfully to gets Australian youngster Garang Kuol from Central Coast Mariners that this could be potential buying especially after he makes his debut match on world cup and he also recognized as one of the youngest player who makes his debut in this tournament in the history after Pele
I'm expecting the January transfer window to be as active and busy as the previous summer window. A lot of teams have fallen short of expectation in the first part of the season and will try to strengthen their sides in January do It is expected that teams will be active and Newcastle is no exception in this list. Even Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and even Manchester United are expected to be active in the window.

Everyone seems to be talking about Napoli's performance so far, but I don't think we should forget about the other teams who are both fighting for the best. Even if Napoli are many points ahead of other competitors, I will never underestimate the strength of other teams like Milan, Inter, Juventus and others. Everything is still very likely to change, so don't ignore the others.

Of course I know Napoli is one of the favorites among the others, but I doubt they will be able to maintain a consistent performance until the end of the season. I'm sure the second half of the season will be even tighter, and of course it will be even more interesting to see who will be the best in the end.
Napoli's performance and form this season have been outstanding, It has always been Juventus ahead of every other team in the Italian Seria A. Seeing Napoli is such form this season makes me doubt they will be able to hold up until the end of the season, I also feel they  fall off track along the way. There is still a possibility that Ac Milan and Juventus can make a come back in the trophy race.

Napoli and Inter are the strongest teams in Serie A and even though Inter seem to be of better quality than in previous seasons, the reality is that Inter have never had it easy to beat Napoli either. What's more, this season Napoli's performance is better than Inter so that indeed, Napoli will be the team that is more favored to win.
But the thing that must be remembered at least is that they will not get victory in an easy way, because beating a big team in an away match is also not something easy.

Therefore, if any of them say Inter or Napoli will win easily then that is an assumption which I think will be dangerous or regretful if the results don't go as expected.
But if they say that after the match is over then maybe it doesn't matter because they have also seen the final result and indeed, everyone has their own judgment but still, if it's a big match then neither team can be said or assumed to win easily.
Napoli are in top form this season probably the best they have showed in the past three to four years, it looks like this is their moment to lift the trophy but despite their good games and performance I still feel Inter Milan, Juventus can still get back to top form and become title contenders and even make it to win the trophy in the end. Napoli seem to have it all and can make it till the end if they can maintain consistency for the rest of the season.
1305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 15, 2022, 03:00:20 PM

Chelsea doesn't give enough time to their players to prove themselves. It didn't start today. It started when Mourinho sold players like Kelvin, Salah and some other good players. Lukaku that was like a fire in Italy was reduced in Chelsea. It will be difficult to solve Chelsea attack line even if they buy Ronaldo if they don't be patient enough to give their strikers time to adapt to their playing pattern.
Yeah you are absolutely right, something tells me that sometimes they sit back reminisce and regret losing out some players in the past, players like Arjen Robben, Salah etc. They are still doing the same thing repeatedly with Lukaku and Timo werner leaving. If they were giving more time to improve they would have done much better after a while. I think this is something they need to change because it makes them lose quality and talented players to other teams.
Denzel Dumfries put up a very strong performance in the WC, i'm pretty sure that is what has caught the attention of these respective clubs, and not just that btw, these clubs are somewhat lacking in the right back position, Manchester United's Diogo Dalot has been really good of late, but if they could sign Dumfries and throw him in the mix, it will develop competition for the right back position and improve performances of the players because they would know that's the only way they are going to play.

Having said that, Chelsea on the other hand have Reece James injured, and Azpilicueta is 33 years old already, with Graham Potter even preferring the Spanish international in the center of defense, so an additional right back in Denzel Dumfries is a good move for the blues. The Dutch international will have to make the best decision for his career, and imo any of these teams is a good step forward.
Dumfries was impressive in the world cup, he had an outstanding performance and I'm sure he has caught the eyes of top teams in Europe who will come enquiring for possibility of getting him to join their side. Dumfries will be a good backup for Dalot at Manchester United but I doubt United will be able to get the deal thrdough. I also doubt Inter Milan will be willing to sell him

Happy birthday to you. Bitcoin is a nice birthday gift to give oneself… since you already had a account on Binance you could have easily used their p2p service to buy bitcoins from the comfort of your home. I guess your curiosity got the better of you. Although you say it’s cheaper, the disadvantage going to buy bitcoins at a shop in person is very risky. You could be mugged on your way out you never know. Also it’s equally risky to hodl your bitcoins in centralized exchanges, Binance may be under investigation soon. Once this starts, there will be a FUD and massive withdrawals, you don’t want your coins there if that eventually happens.

I read the news at Local Media about Belingham being interested in Chelsea, Madrid, Liverpool and Man City. We know he is currently playing with Dortmund. He performed well with Dortmund and England in the world cup. We know Dortmund have always been a Team with a Great player product. Last but not least is Haaland,Haaland's sale provides huge funds for Dortmund.
At the moment Belingham is in contention, but it seems that it is difficult to realize because Dortmund still do not want to let go. They want him to stay at Dortmund and get to his best game. Because he has only played in his third year this season. Previously he also played for Brimingham for two years.
Every day I get notification on news concerning Jude Bellingham and It seems Liverpool are the ones in pole position now to get the player's signature. Bellingham was a significant figure in the heart of the English midfield and undoing showed his class and confidence yet again and obviously that has earned him recognition in European top flight which is a plus and should come as an extra boost in his performance. Dortmund is still Dortmund and something tells me they will go ahead to sell him also just like they did with Haaland.

There are some news sources which are claiming that Ronaldo won't retire from his national football career. Even if their manager isn't changed after this failure Ronaldo is expected to continue to play for Portugal. However it doesn't seem to me like Ronaldo will continue. Because I remember a statement by him like this would be his last World Cup and he would retire from his national team after. Some people have been hoping to see him in Euro 2024 at least. I assume there would be a new statement from him in the near future to end the speculations.

Ronaldo's future in his club career is also ambiguous now. There is still no agreement with any European team or the Arabian team Al-Nassr. If he doesn't get any offer from a European team competing in the CL then he should just go for Al-Nassr's offer. I assume the details of that offer weren't just a rumour. It was hell of an offer really.
Ronaldo still has a year or two before retirement so if he wants to represent Portugal for the next one or two years it is only understandable but I don't think he can feature in the world cup again at this level of his career but whether his retires or continues it will always remain a fabulous experience. It is so sad that we are currently witnessing the Ronaldo's era coming to an end.

For quite some years now Chelsea have been struggling with form and lacking good attacking players. The departure of Lukaku, Timo werner, and now injured Broja have left a wide gap in Chelsea's attack that needs someone to fill in immediately for the team. I hear they are very much interested in Victor Osimhen but I doubt Napoli will be open to selling him in the January window.

No doubt, Rashford hasn't played to the expected standard in these last few months. But it is not enough to conclude that he is no more an important player in Manchester United's squad. Rashford gave his best for the club last season, and since the beginning of this season he has been a leg in and a leg out of playing moment all because of injury. I think it's quite too early to underrate this guy because if he wasn't good, clubs like PSG won't be running after him. it will be good to see the Manchester United board make moves in retaining this guy.

Judging by the amount that PSG is offering (a million a week), Rashford will agree. And this causes conflicting feelings in me: firstly, the cheating PSG continues to kill football with oil money, secondly, I am happy for Rashford financially, but in terms of ambitions, moving to PSG is like moving to a talent graveyard. I would like Rashford to stay at United, but objectively he is not worth that kind of money.
Wow, this is outrageous, I wonder where PSG are going with this kind of deals, first we saw a player having a part in the decision making in the club and now they are offering Rashford  a million a week. This will spell serious problems for Manchester United, with PSG offering this kind of deal it will very difficult to keep Rashford at United for further years. Something tells me Rashford will want to take the huge pay and move.
1312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: December 12, 2022, 10:46:57 PM
If the world cup ends we'll know if Barcelona is good enough to win the Europa League,  Barcelona is seriously interested and working harder in winning  laliga league, Barcelona can't win more than a trophy this season because they are not so strong
Do not conclude that Barcelona's strength this season has only been seen in half of the season. But let's see how strong Barcelona will be after this world cup or when La Liga and Europa League restart this season. Because every team still has time this season to make changes for the better and it's still very early to conclude anything for all the teams in the two different competitions.
You're right, it's too early to conclude that Barcelona won't win more than one trophy this season, and it's also too early to conclude they will. Competition is still very tight in La Liga and also in the European League, it will not be easy for them to win the championship which is still very long. Also other teams will not allow any team to win the title easily. Challenges are still waiting for them ahead.
I remember that last season barcelona has been predicted to win even europa league but it was going out caused by lose from frankfurt. I think that people shall not over expectation about barcelona. Just let the team to do the best. Barcelona is not yet winning la liga. Real madrid is always following barcelona at the second position. There's no reason for barcelona to get the trophy until the end of season. The fact that it's going out from champion league. Barcelona may get the same result in europa league too.
That depends on the result against mu

Barcelona is more organized and stronger this season than last season. And so fans have high expectations from this team this season. However, this season's Europa League title is much more difficult to win than in previous seasons. Barcelona will face Manchester United in the next match. United is a very strong team. Barcelona is likely to be eliminated even if they lose this match. Also, strong teams like Arsenal are performing very well in Europa League. And Arsenal seems to be the favorite for this year's Europa League.
Barcelona have showed a good level of improvement so far although they fell short of expectations in the champions league but they have showed a different performance level in the league which is very impressive. Good thing the Europa league gave them second chance to redeem their season in European competitions this season but can they defeat Manchester United to stay in the competition?
1313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 12, 2022, 10:00:18 PM
Osimhen has been a player admired by many top teams for years now, I even overhead someone saying he will go to Manchester United in January lol. Obviously this teams have undying wish of having Osimhen on their side but how open Napoli are to letting the player go seems to be the major problem and it seems until they have their minds made up it will be very difficult to see this deal realistic even with the many options they have in their attack.
After performing well with Napoli and South Korea national team rumours is their defender player Kim Min jae has into Manchester United and Tottenham watchlist and apparently besides Osimhen who targetted by big clubs Napoli also should be hold this player because during this season he is one of Napoli key player and always be playing regular on Serie A or champion league so losing him will have bad impact for Napoli defense because so far his combination with Amir Rrahmani or Juan Jesus was very solid at Napoli defense however besides that yesterday Napoli has won 3-1 from Crystal Palace for friendly matches and this weekend Napoli will played one more match against Villarreal
A lot of players had exposure in the world cup and are currently being monitored in the transfer market so it is expected that players who were impressive would be scouted and clubs will enquire about their availability and that includes Kim Min Jae, I still expect to read about more names when the window opens. Like I said before, Napoli's decision seems to be the deciding factor for Victor Osimhen moving away because the club have been so adamant to letting the player leave.

Why people are surprised of Morocco defeatist Portugal it's because of Ronald, and base on Ronald is on bench that is what give Morocco luck to win Portugal but people don't know, because the presences of Ronal would have been a distraction to Morocco, so because of the coach of Portugal won a match without Ronal participating in early or the first time and they defeated and that's why they played without Ronald from the beginning.
Morocco benefited because the Portuguese coach did not make CR7 a starter, many people criticized the line-up choices made by Santos from the start on the Portuguese national team

Morocco is very lucky, but Morocco's next opponent is France, I doubt they will be able to withstand the onslaught of French players
If Ronaldo had played in the first half Morocco would have still won. Ronaldo is not active again,  he plays like a regular play now. Morocco won because they played very well, they didn't win by luck
Yeah I honestly do not think so, If Ronaldo was played along side Rafeal Leao it would have been a different outcome at the end of 90mins. Ronaldo would have been the major target in the game and if he is smart he would be setting confusions for the Moroccan defenders who will be worried about marking Ronaldo and Rafael Leao when they attack. I didn't expect to see Ronaldo sitting on the bench in that game.

I think Real found Benzema's heir in Brazil. It is rumored that they have transferred Endrick. However, since Endrick will be in the Real Madrid squad when he turns 18, they should get maximum efficiency from Benzema for 2 years. Another striker transfer is definitely needed. Benzema, who received the most prestigious award last year, is having a quieter season this year. This is what I really wonder if there will be an increase in his performance after he recovers from his injury.
We all know how much confidence and strength the presence of Benzema in the starting line up gives the team in every game and it is understandable how their performance drops when he is absent so I'm quite convinced his return from injury will be a major boost to the squad and the season at hand. I can't say much about Endrick we just have to wait until he comes off good age in the team.

I think Real Madrid will be back stronger than before by their upcoming games. They had some problems against smaller teams recently and lost so many points during this time. Barcelona have benefited from it and taken the lead. But the gap is only two points anyway. Real Madrid should improve their effort in the La Liga to have a good form.

Winning against Barcelona won't be enough for them for the La Liga title in the end. They need to keep up a solid form in the rest of the games as well just as Barcelona do. I know that things are becoming more serious in the Champions League on one hand. But this shouldn't affect the concentration level of the Real Madrid players in the La Liga badly.
Coming back stronger would be the ultimate goal for Real Madrid after the world cup, I must confess that I have missed watching the club games and can't wait for resumption. Real Madrid have not been 100% into the game before the break. Now they need to build from the bad games take the positives going into the remaining games of the season and get the best results possible.

I personally believe Rashford won't left Manchester United this because he is into Ten Hag long term project even Manchester United will attempts to extended his contract even they had a plan will makes Rashford as the players with the highest salary in Manchester United because Ten Hag know his potention so he will hold Rashford not moved to other teams
And indeed PSG offering the trophies for every seasons because they are the strongest team in Ligue 1 but PSG already have Mbappe, Neymar and Mbappe at forward lines so it's almost impossible to Rashford compete to get one place in forward lines with these players so if he left Manchester United and moved to PSG i am sure Rashford only being an reserved players for PSG trio and that's not good for his career
I won't blame you for believing he cannot leave Manchester United because he was groomed under the badge and from the youth academy team but it doesn't always end as expected you know, some big money involvements and deals can change a players mind and reveal his true loyalty stance. In my opinion I think if teams like PSG and Real Madrid come calling, he will take a move away.

Morocco defended very well throughout the entire match. But in the second half of the match, they sometimes lost control of the game to Portugal. And Portugal could not make organized attacks in the sections where they had the opportunity. Morocco played well and deserved to win the match. The result of the match was fair in my opinion. Now they will play the semi-finals with France. This match has already been the most talked about match. And this match attracts more attention than Argentina - Croatia match in my opinion. Because Morocco managed to become the most colorful team of the tournament with the matches they won. I think they will play the France game with the same tactical understanding. They will continue to play very good defense. Their first priority will be not to concede goal again in this match. That's why I'll most likely bet on under 2.5 goals.
Portugal isn't an easy team to defend against that was why it was so difficult to hold them them and when they conceived the red card the pressure increased and Portugal became more dangerous but the resilience of the Moroccan team was surprising, how they managed to hold still was really marvelous indeed their team is so organised all round and have great tactical sense of the game. The next rounds will be even more interesting.

There are already some rumours circulating such as Arsenal are planning to sign a striker in January. After Jesus has got injured news sources started to write this kind of things quickly. I know that Arteta will have a nice amount of transfer budget to spend in January. But I don't think it would be enough for signing a big striker. Because people were talking about a budget like 50 million pounds.

I don't trust Nketiah much honestly. He seems like a skilled player but his finishing is not good at all. Arsenal can find a better alternative to him in January if they want.
Honestly, It will be exciting to see Arsenal bring in another striker to cover up for Gabriel Jesus in the January window. I know there is Eddie Nketiah but it wouldn't be wise to depend fully on Eddie Nketiah tp lead the lines alone. I think it is wise to have other options and backup also for Eddie, hopefully Arteta can get something done about this in the next transfer window.

England vs France yesterday was a very interesting match. The results proved that sometimes stats are not a reflection of what a team looks like, judging by the stats England were the favorite to win the match. But France found it more easier to win, England didn’t stand a chance against the French defense. I expected more from England because I watch the English premier league regularly and had high hopes for the English team. Is England overrated?

European nations have been ruling the World Cup for ages, they have reputation and history as the big teams and favorites which gives them the upper hand mentally for the competition. In this tournament, Morocco has played the big teams Belgium, Spain and Portugal and won. If Morocco go into the semi final and lose, it would still be a victory for Africa as a whole because now we have the confidence that we can compete with the big dogs.
