The more I think about it, the more I like those guys (Finland?) who are setting up blockchain radio stations. Hmm, FM receiver with a bit of RAM, a little ARM chip and an embedded linux BTC/DRK wallet could be put together for peanuts... or custom firmware on any dumb phone with RF... |

If you build multi-sig into DRK, especially on mobile, then there is an argument against reduced regulation as regulation is mainly about consumer protection from things like exchanges and other financial intermediaries losing your money while they are in custody of it.
If you maintain a hold over it through multi-sig, you remove a major need for regulations.
Then its just about FinCEN stuff - reporting of financial crimes.

Darkcoin is inherently harder to regulate than BTC as it makes following the money practically impossible. 2. The whole financial system is going to implode very soon, the suits will have more urgent concerns, like outrunning the lynch mobs. Nobody is going to give a damn about BTC and DRK, except maybe to acquire it. |

No trading API and automatic sending of funds back to the user after each trade completion would solve the obvious market manipulation and exchange-owner-running-off-with-your-money problems. Don't like exchange bots using your exchange balance against you? Don't leave your money on exchanges. Don't use exchanges with a trading API for bots. No more gox and botpal incidents. |

I don't see any coin other than a Cryptonote coin challenging Darkcoin for the title of anonymous coin. And there is room for more than one anyway. Darkcoin has a large and faithful community and it's not going anywhere.

I am working on launching Darkcoin related services with the support of very solid early bitcoiners in the near future. One of the things that I am most interested in is launching Darkcoin gaming sites. Does anyone on the community has experience with crypto poker rooms? I am looking for some guidance on the software platform itself? I am already well advanced in the regulatory and structural part and will be able to operate legally and wont be servicing the USA.
I am mostly interested in technical guidance for the platform itself, if anyone has experience or knows someone that could help I am interested to discuss the opportunity, let me know.

We need a bunch more arrests. If clueless potheads start getting busted for using the wrong tool for the job, or in the case of BTC+TOR, two synergistically wrong tools for the job, we might see more adoption. Probably not going to happen though until the pressure on the dollar grows a bit more. The rich are all still busy getting richer at the great derivatives casino. Right now a few politicians may blather but nobody with actual power gives a damn about dark markets. The crackdown will come, but not just yet. Get your cheap DRK while you can. |

And this is why p2pool should be worked in as mandatory to mine Darkcoin. Put the scam infested mining pools out of business. That would be a far better situation than centralised pools running the show but would still require enforcement, individual p2pool nodes would all still have to update... This whole enforcement/compliance thing has cost 4-5 months of dev time trying to sort out. Masternodes, somehow, need to be in complete control of the blockchain, or my worry is that InstanTX just isn't going to work. |

 940 Masternodes, perfect network stability with 10.15.16, nearly 70% voluntary pool compliance already thanks to Tao, tungfa, splawik and everyone else... things are looking good. I think we'll see north of 1100 Masternodes by December, hopefully closer to 1200. Evan and the rest of the distributed team have achieved something fucking remarkable here, and this is just the start. |
