1301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Know when to buy and hold on: January 27, 2022, 07:24:48 PM
If your plan is to hold for long term, it doesn't matter what price you enter, data has said that the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum must have increased from the previous year, in general, we are talking about big coins, Bitcoin and Ethereum.
So in my opinion there is no need to think too long to enter the big coin for long term hold, remember, for long term hold only.

Good assumption, if you are into long-term investment, these two assets are mostly the project to hold.

The market mostly starts to pump with these two coins, if you will buy and hold and set your target value to sell all you have to do

is to wait. Sooner or later that amount will be triggered, even it will take long years as long as you believe in it, time will come and it

will favor your investment.
That is the advantage of long term investment, you get to achieve your target price no matter how long you're hodling. But you will only be profitable if you are hodling those established coins. But different cases when you're with wrong coins as long term hodling won't make any difference as its value becomes stagnant. And finally, when you think for long term hodling, aside from its future benefits, there is an increase also when it comes to its own risk.
1302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I Missed Out of a 10 Year Bitcoin Investment Plan on: January 27, 2022, 03:06:31 PM
You've heard of people who had early opportunity with the Bitcoin but missed it? Well, I'm probably one of them.

Many people have missed their first chance to enter in the crypto market because they do not calculate the potential of this market. That is perfectly ok as no one had thought few years back, that bitcoin can grow so big in the coming years. But now we know the potential of bitcoin so we should now take entry in the bitcoin so that in 2030, we are not among those who would be saying that they missed the bitcoin under 50K which is now trading at 10 or 20x higher prices.
I think the same scenario will probably happen ten years from now. People will still regret that they have missed chances to invest in bitcoin and now they are not making huge profits from it. But IMO, people will not learn from all their wrong decisions unless they see bitcoin in a very high ATH.  So it will be an eye opener for all to never disregard bitcoin as its value will always bound for a higher ATH in every year that comes.

The only problem is that the price of bitcoin is not the same as it was 10 years ago, when it was extremely cheap and anyone could afford it; now it is extremely difficult to purchase one if you do not have enough money; however, it is highly likely that this scenario will repeat itself, so it is best to invest sooner rather than later. Some people will learn from their mistakes, but others will not. If we make a mistake, we should assess it and figure out how to avoid making the same mistake again. This is the key to gaining valuable experience and achieving our goals.
If you keep on thinking that bitcoin is quite hard to afford especially at the current price, then you can never expect for bitcoin to give you huge profits 10 years from now. So taking the risk is a reality. You cannot just wait there and let bitcoin work for you. You have to invest now and hold your bitcoin, and let's see where will your investment take you. It's a matter of faith that you should always hope the best for bitcoin as you will be the one to benefit it the most.
1303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 27, 2022, 01:24:32 PM

Or did you mean Schroder will get a bigger contract?

Right now, Schroder is still under contract with the Celtics, so only after the contract will end where we will find out if there's an extension or not.
According to the report, he signed a one year deal with the Celtics and I'm sure he is expecting a bigger contract once the Celtics will renew him.

1304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: January 27, 2022, 12:59:10 PM
Much better if we have a poll here? Just saying.

That's right, a poll would tell us what's the pulse of the majority, and I think this fight, we have no heavy favorite or the vote could be an opposite of what the bookies are telling. This would be happening in less than a month and the odds are already available in our bookies, so it's nice to know early what everyone thinks about this fight.

Thank you for the suggestion, a poll has been added and you guys can cast your vote so we will know what's the majority think about this fight. I voted already, and I like  Kell Brook to win because he is an underdog and I think he can beat Amir Khan.
1305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 27, 2022, 12:39:12 PM

A win is already impressive and that would be enough for Inoue and his camp to accept if ever Casimero offers a fight just what we've been tuning last year.

A win is necessary, and even if it's not impressive, the fight would still sell as it's a unification fight. Casimero is the only fighter in the Bantamweight division that i think has a chance of beating Inoue, so if he would not be given a chance, people will doubt Inoue's real capability.

If Inoue would want an impressive fight from Casimero then he wouldn't have to wait this long because when Casimero upset Tete, that was the best timing to challenge him or accept the challenge. Casimero has been challenging him but he seem not responding seriously, so I don't know if he is really interested or just making an excuse so he could not face Casimero.
1306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 26, 2022, 09:07:51 PM
I see there are no shared picks yet so I am going to start it.
Utah Jazz versus Phoenix Suns - Suns -3.5. This will be an interesting game. For Jazz: Gobert and Mitchell out. For Suns: McGee, Ayton, Payne, and Crowder out. But I still think the Suns have the upper hand with CP3 and Booker.

Brooklyn Nets vs Denver Nuggets - Nuggets -3.5. Undermanned Nets are having trouble finding their main man to do the offensive attack and even as James Harden does triple-doubles he will need the help from someone else.

I would agree that without Gobert and Mitchell while the Suns still have Booker and Paul it seems that Phoenix might have a higher chance at winning than the odds are giving them.  They should be able to clear the 3.5 easily and get this W for gamblers.  Plus, the game is televised on ESPN tonight, so it's a great opportunity to grab some take out or sit at a bar (without mask mandates) and enjoy a free meal paid for by the Phoenix Suns.  Not sure if I'll actually put a bet down or not, as usually when these "opportunities" come up there's a little surprise involved.  I agree that it's probably a good bet though.  We'll see in a few hours.

The only possible reason the Suns would lose here is if the game is rigged. No way the Jazz could beat the Suns without their 2 best players, even if they are playing at home. I'm just worried about the line as it seems like a trap, it opened at +3.5 for the Jazz, now they are only +1.5, what does it imply?
1307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: January 26, 2022, 08:53:45 PM
^^ Barrios may have power in 140 lbs, but it is not tested on 147 lbs yet and the other way around, what if a true welterweight with power like Thurman hits him in the first time? What will be his reaction then?

So a lot of questions in this fight really, a lot of speculations. However, for us who have been following boxing for so long, we are somewhat going to favor Thurman over Barrios and I personally is thinking that it is possible for Thurman to score a knock out.
Yes they are the same have a power punch that can knock out their opponents but we will saw all the statistics of the fighter then we can say that this fighter has a chance to this match.
Barrios had a speed that can hit thurman in any sides any time but for sure thurman had a plan for that and he can do anything to avoid hitting by barriers.
That speed is important when Fighting Thurman because the latter is very smart, Manny uses that strategy to him so Thurman loses the fight. We have to notice as well that Thurman has a strong body, although he was knockdown early in the fight he was able to get up, now that he is fully healed, I can see it will not be an easy job for Barrios to beat him.
1308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Investment against inflation on: January 26, 2022, 07:54:12 AM
This is a very inspiring story, a story of how believing in the potential of Bitcoin has presented an opportunity that could bridge even the economic challenges brought by the pandemic. I am glad to know that the restaurant owner has now been embracing Bitcoin on his utmost power, like the provision of Bitcoin ATM in all of his restaurant branches. I hope that this could be a way for the people of Canada, and even the establishments to recognize the power of crypto and to start trying to adapt, especially that there has been some issues going around about the banks rejecting of blocking crypto transactions.
This a good proof that investing in bitcoin is always a brilliant move to double or triple your profits. And with the owner's faith in bitcoin, he managed to make his restaurant becomes more progressive that led to adding more branches to it. And its definitely another wise idea to install bitcoin atm machine in each branch as people will be more expose to it and start embracing it as a currency that can hedge inflation. If all the people around will be aware of his own story, this will pave way to widen the acceptance and adoption of crypto that will be the best solution to fight with the endless rising inflation.
1309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Altcoins will Rock in 2022. on: January 25, 2022, 09:56:35 PM
I think moozicore will rock in roll this year, I been following moozicore for 3 years and I get some new update this time on their telegram maybe they will launch this year in U.S so I think this will have a good out come and volume with Thier token MZG. another thing is the play to earn gaming projects and metaverse I believe that this will also rock in roll this year keep watching.
For me, i believe in NFT tokens and metaverse will still be highly profitable this year and may rock the whole crypto market. But that won't happen unless we see a good move from bitcoin because its always bitcoin that takes credit when it comes to these. And we will only find out which projects will rock and becomes trending again when the market has overcome the bearish season and good coins are seem to recover again from the previous price decline.
1310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Hold is Gold on: January 25, 2022, 08:45:10 PM
I would say if you hold a coin which has something better to offer in terms of technology then you don't have to worry about these temporary market fluctuations because eventually these coins will pump. When I say these coins I meant good coins not meme or shit coins hence i would advice you to hodl on with C98 as it has scope for growth unlike Dogecoin which need tweet or support from billionaire and influencers.
Let's invest and hold those coins with high utility cases and use cases. And clearly its not meme coins, nor those shitcoins. Hodling is maybe considered gold because you need to keep it for long term until you see a high surge on its price, so you decide to sell. So once you see its value appreciates, then definitely you can sell some of it, while others are good for future profits. Hodling those potential coins will always be gold because their value keeps on making consistent increase due to its strong demand.
1311  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $30k the bottom for this dip? on: January 25, 2022, 02:56:39 PM
Could be. $30k, worst $20k. But it makes you think, where is the money if its a bloodbath for both Bitcoin and Altcoins? Is all the missing money sold for stable coins?
If that's the case then someone is manipulating it heavily. We don't know who they are or when their decision to buy back will be but I know they will come back.
When you become a Bitcoin holder for a long time there is not much options anymore. You just wait again and trust the process. Look back at history and expect the same thing will happen.
You're right. Once you're a long term hodler, i guess your only goal is to see your coins reach their new peaks. You don't have any choice but to believe in your coins and trust the process as it will always end up with a good value no matter how long it will take.

However, the market is showing continuous price decline and no one of us can really tell what will be its bottom price. One thing is certain, if the market will be more bearish this year, i guess $30k will not only be bitcoin's lowest price. It may even hit below $20k if this bearish market cannot recover easily.

1313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Ioka Dec 31 on: January 25, 2022, 01:21:10 PM

This will be an interesting match up but then again, Ancajas is in an obvious advantage right here.

It will be, and I think Ancajas will not have this one as an easy fight since Martinez also has a good record. The only reason why Ancajas is the favorites is because he has more experience, but you can never underestimate a boxer with less experience but hungry for a win.
1314  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy low, Sell high? on: January 24, 2022, 09:56:47 PM
I keep seeing a lot of people who are fearing the price right now, many people who are getting out, and plenty that thinks it will crash even harder...

It's only been three days since you posted your message, and the price of BTC has dropped by another 5 thousand dollars. This means that the concerns of market participants are not groundless. In such a situation, it would be the right decision to buy coins in parts, leaving the stablecoins for purchase at a lower price.

That's for those who dare to do it and definitely buy some parts is a good thing, but in that part there are still those who don't want to buy and wait for recovery and more stablecoins to secure their assets, but I dare to buy in the current situation and believe this can come back in the middle of the year.

I understand this where they are afraid of losing even though they want to buy it but it is the anxiety that becomes panic and does not make them better.
Sometimes, crypto investors feel to be more fearful and more panic when price decline starts to be visible in the market. Its like they want to create more profits but are afraid to take actions believing that they will still bound to lose. But if they only believe in buy low and sell high which is very basic in crypto, then they will never make frequent losses and has bigger chances to multiple their profits when the market turns bullish again.
1315  Economy / Economics / Re: Buy Crypto Or Have Fun Staying Poor! on: January 24, 2022, 08:27:30 PM
poor people do not really feel the impact of inflation from their finances. For me, the word poor is for people who do not have income or their daily needs are not met maybe the only thing they will feel is the price will become more expensive than before. but the middle class and above will feel it.holding flat only without choosing any investment will definetelly decrease value our saving in the future.

Poor people are the one who are been much affected on inflation knowing there small amount of money can only bring few goods and imagine it what happen on the next day for sure they will struggle to buy again since they don't have enough money to spend on. Also middle class guys or at rich level are not much gonna feel it if we talk about on spending but maybe if we talk about investment maybe there are certain area that they will be hurt on what they have put up.
Studies around the topic of inflation have shown that the most affected by it are the middle class, the rich have no problem dealing with it because most of their fortune is not in fiat but in hard assets, like real estate, precious metals, art or their own companies, the poor do in fact suffer because of inflation but since the amount of money they have is low they are not affected as much either, the ones that suffers the most is the middle class, as most of their net worth is in their house which they owe and with inflation the interest rates go higher and they cannot pay their house until they lose it, becoming poor in the process.
That is a little bit desperate seeing these poor people lose more opportunities while these rich people have plenty. It is somehow a real talk but I don't think that would stop them to invest and let their life live being poor forever as there are so many ways to change it, and first is our mindset. If they keep being negative, being doubtful, and doing nothing, they will never change their lives but stay poor.
Of course, poor people who will always be contented living with their present lives and not going out from their comfort zone will always live poorly. But if they take chances to invest believing that there is greener pasture awaits for them, and they turn into positive mindset and build self confidence, i guess in less time their life status will changed and improve. And crypto investments will definitely change their lives if they also have faith in it despite of its risks.
1316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 24, 2022, 01:17:00 PM
The game will proceed, we are waiting for announcement and soon it will resume back.  Roll Eyes Wink

I just can't remember where i read it but i'm pretty sure that the PBA will be back in action on the first week of February as it gets the unanimous nods from the board of Governors to resume the games, in fact the IATF has allowed team scrimmages this week.

Besides, covid cases in the NCR is dropping and health experts have predicted that things will be back to the pre-omicron status by March so we can expect crowd to be back in the arena this March or April.

PBA games to resume first week of February
Source: https://mb.com.ph/2022/01/24/pba-games-to-resume-first-week-of-february/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=pba-games-to-resume-first-week-of-february

Ain't sure if this is the exact article that you've read as it contains the same description you quoted earlier. Anyways, seems like we could already see the games soon to recommence this year and continue the season that we've anticipated for a while now. Also, they're waiting for the final approval from the local LGU and IATF to start the team's practice before the elimination starts.

Great news, thanks for sharing that article, it might be a rumor or confirmed information, what matters now is that it's very positive and that will make us fans to be more excited again. The IATF will soon grant the PBA to resume it's paused conference and we will also resume betting.  Grin
1317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man lost everything to Crypto on: January 23, 2022, 10:10:24 PM
He is just shared his thought how could we become sure that he knows everything properly and after that lost everything .We all know that gambling can make you addicted but who will believe that trading can make you addicted .We all know that trading is a tough way to earn but really possible to control yourself .Its true that if you don't have the knowledge behind trading you may loose your fund like he has .I always suggest to ignore gambling and also suggest to study before enter on the market .I think we all need to take lesson from him that we need to more aware on that and control our mind from everything.
Well, learning is still very possible in trading no matter how hard it is. But considering the cause of his lost, its not about gambling but because he lets himself addicted with drugs and alcohol that made himself a non functional trader. If you are still on your right thinking, why won't you lost access on your wallet address when you know you stored a lot of bitcoins in it? So probably, Steven is really out of his mind that he can't control himself anymore and ends up living a mess now because he even lost everything as a trader. But anyways, he is now in the process of healing and hopefully he will still recover his lost bitcoins.
1318  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good moment to buy btc or eth? on: January 22, 2022, 08:09:59 PM
Hi crew. Hope you are all well in new 2022. Good moment to buy btc or eth?
Definitely yes, today is like a sale going on btc and eth infact all the Cryptos today are on sale and looking at the daily RSI it's too oversold, if you are looking to buy for a longer term also then it's a great area for a dollar cost average entry. But yes it's true that there is a good chance that year might be the bearish year for btc and we might not see a lot of bullishness in the market this year.
I guess if that's the case, then there will be a long span of time buying moment for all the coins that we wish to invest particularly with bitcoin.  Although we cannot hold its assurance, but weak hands will certainly collapse if that will happen, while strong hands will keep on utilizing the opportunity to fill their bags with top coins. As long as there is dips happening in the market, that will always be a good time to buy bitcoin and ethereum.
1319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 22, 2022, 12:07:37 PM
Let's lay low a bit on betting the Warriors, they cannot be trusted these days, it started with KT back in the lineup, their chemistry has been change. They won the game but it was a close one, if not because of Curry's game-winning shot, that game could have went to OT and they might lose again.
1320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 22, 2022, 11:33:37 AM
While waiting for the PBA to resume, let me share with you some great news.

This :
Matt Ganuelas Rosser signs with TNT after declining Terrafirma offer

I almost forgot this guy. I'm happy that he found a good team again, he will be a great addition to the TNT as his talent is exceptional in terms of defense. so hopefully he is still at his prime so he can contribute to the success of the team.

Another added boost to TNT's already good offense. Rosser is no doubt although not in prime he's still on his best. He's just 31 after all.

And he's already used to playing with the TNT's system and already handled by Coach Chot Reyes during his Gilas stint. He also has 1 championship in TNT way back 2015 Commissioner's Cup as a rookie.

Terrafirma again loses another possible good player. But no problem, they have just to remain competitive like what they did the last conference.

I think it was influenced by the decision of coach Chot Reyes,  the management maybe given him the freedom to hire players that he thinks could help the team. He did a great job last season, so now he is enjoying that privilege. Great job for the TNT management, they need someone like him who can work on thed defensive side consistently.
