ei dev, let us know before to launch if it is exactly: 720 coins for day? so will we mine a couple of days for 1 coin? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) yeah 720 per day wow... ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif)

1 coin per generated block for the first 600k blocks
Block time 2 mins
1 day generate 720 blocks
600k block will need 2.2 years.
Life is short. Life in crypto is even shorter. 2.2 years for first halving. Bitcoin ?
We must be doing something wrong. only 720 coins per day?

Missed the boat on this coin - what makes it so special?
Seems like this coin is what dogecoin COULD have been if it was properly thought out and implemented. This coin has a fairer distribution, better block halving schedule, soon to be POSv staking (which is the way of the future IMO), and most of all the reddtipbot implementation for tipping on Reddit! I see a bright future for Reddcoin =) Agreed. Much "greener" and more sustainable in the future. It just makes no sense to remain POW for the entire life of a coin when transactions can easily be verified through staking with minimal processing required. A good, fair, medium term duration POW schedule like this coin has had is great for initial distribution, but once that is done POSv is the way forward =) Over my head, but I agree! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) to the m oon!

RDD looks interesting but I prefer NXT!
I looooove NXT, but it has been prety stable. so I am selling my NXT and moving into RDD to make some and then buy back into NXT!

reddcoin will start to increase in price until aug. 2 and will start to go down after it

What also might help is letting the client run without opening the browser directly.
I have found several times that if I open the browser window immediately for some reason the blockchain download seems to stall.
I then just open the client (run.bat), let it do its thing for a minute or two and thén open the browser client.
Usually it opens with a downloaded blockchain. Weird, but true.
Let me try this, thank you as well!

My NRS is 1.1.6, maybe I just have bad luck haha. Still downloading blockchanin, have restared the wallet and my computer numerous times. This is my second install of the wallet. ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) While the client is running, what happens when you click on http://127.0.0.1:7876/ ? A NXT login loads. Exactly. 127.0.0.1 is localhost ( http://localhost:7876/ should work too) .. you can enter your password safely there. It won't leave your computer See if the browser version works without problem. If it does, then you can use it while keeping the app minimized to system tray Ok thank you. It is Downloading the blockchain, and shows a 0 balance so I will just let it sit awhile I guess haha. If that doesn't work, close the client, download 1.1.6 zip file from here https://bitbucket.org/JeanLucPicard/nxt/downloadsunzip it to any folder and click run.bat then try http://localhost:7876/ Ok, in the meantime, thank you for your assistance!
