Don't panic guys there is a 6 btc and 3 btc sell wall, don't sell your coins!!

Just difficult for people to take your advice when even the dev is selling off his premine. Who would know better than the dev?

If you have proof from Mintpal post it otherwise please stop.. we need facts.

Yes we want proof from the dev if not I'll dump my 1.25mio coins in one time and I don't care how much I lose.

Have more bitcoins waiting, so if price goes lower I'm ready for it  Grin
13025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 23, 2014, 11:06:17 AM
I know if your a long term holder it's better to focus on the product than the price, but I can't help it.

Price seems so out of whack to me with so many clones and shit coins out there. It reminds of something I read where bond traders ascribed any market phenomena they couldn't explain to "the Arabs".

I know what you feel, just ignore the price at the moment, use it to buy more if it goes any lower. That's what I do Smiley

I hope the wallet update from today can bring some positive vibe, current price is way too low, look at the sell orders, only tiny orders, and noobs still keep selling. It will only take a few btc to bring it to 0.00003

13026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 23, 2014, 10:57:05 AM
Would be cool to have a Silk Debit Card, imagine using this to pay world wide without having to worry about frozen balances, and also without some one knowing your personal info.

Is there some one with the right contacts that can get this off the ground?
13027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 23, 2014, 09:04:36 AM
Okay well this is insanely frustrating for me because nobody will look at facts or address real issues or concerns. You are all already invested so of course you're going to continue to maintain everything is peachy and sunny and perfect. I believe my points have been made far more than was needed but when everything I said was being buried with 2-3 quoted memes over and over to bury my post and get to a new page I felt I had to keep repeating myself. Look - I think most people are starting to realize I was right. Most people are now down on their investment. Some will cut their losses and get out and others will take their coins with them to their grave believing Silkcoin will make them millionaires. The truth is nobody knows for sure what this dev's intentions were. I made a lot of assumptions and I have received some PMs from people I respect that helped put me in your shoes and realize how I would be reacting to what I've been saying in your situation. Some of you are actually true believers and others just want people to believe enough to get the price up enough to unload and limit the bleeding. The premine was way too large - I will never back down from that. The Qt wallet has actually evolved into something that at least gets an "A" for effort - I can admit that. It's superior to most without a doubt. I hope this guy sees this thing through and I just hope nobody lost their rent money or owes their bookie - chances are you learned this lesson pretty cheap. It's a learning process. Everybody can't know everything. I promise I'm done posting here - done reading the thread - I don't take back anything I've said at all and I maintain everything I said was accurate but need to accept that nobody will ever admit it. Finally, to kalisto, the 13-year-old pimple-faced idiot who keeps messaging me about how him and his buddies are going to track me down and "fight" me - you better hurry up, Dick Tracy, before your Silkcoins are worthless and you can't afford gas money. MEGAman out (12/12 - calling it early).

Sure you will stop trolling and posting negative comments because you have what you wanted, and that is a lot SC for under 2k sat. Good job  Kiss

GUYS FFS STOP THIS BULLSH!T DISCUSSION ABOUT THE PREMINE.

You all are just silly, why are you guys keep talking about something that isn't a problem.
The devs need the premine to stay loyal to the coin, look at other coins, as soon as the devs run out of premine they mostly left the project....

You fanboys only hurt the price of SC, act like a real community and look at the bright things, things that can really change how we trade and see crypto. That's SilkCoin project,

i brought the nodes back online for one more try. 24 hours.

You have ruined your own coin. No one is going to mine this, because it's 100% wasted effort.

Best thing is to shut it down and start again with a new coin if you plan to continue. You can't save this coin, it's already gone.

/ use a better coin name
/ make a better logo
/ add some value to the coin by giving it a cool feature
/ create atleast a twitter account, perhaps also facebook
/ invest some time in setting up a nice ANN thread, look at how others do it
/ only launch when the coin is 100%

13032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 22, 2014, 07:41:00 PM

Moreover, my concern is what happens when the devs run out of premine?  Should they work for free?  I think we need to eventually set up some sort of foundation to fund the dev team.  Another idea I had was for the stake blocks to pay a small percentage to the devs and also to eliminate the transaction fee as to me that is a legacy of PoW systems.

Thoughts?

Well if the developers want to get paid from that SC, then it should be transparant. For instance, like NEM.  Say they had 2 days of work for the exchange module in the new client. Then there should be a credit from the premine address. < that transaction should be transparant, public on the thread.

Staking is ofcourse a possibility, but will the 2 percent of a couple of million be enough?

I don't think the devs are worried about getting paid at the moment.  They are focused with getting the vision implemented.  Anyone on the team I am sure have personally bought their own silk and have that stake in it taking off.

Not sure what the percent would be.  When silk coin takes off a small % could be a good rev stream.  That rev stream could also go to marketing for adoption like payment processors.

I don't mind if the devs from time to time take a bit from the premine and use it for themself, because let's be honest, who is going to work so many hours for free?? I wouldn't.

Can't wait for the wallet update, wanna test the inside wallet trading  Grin

Everyone should start thinking about buying more. Silk looks like low hanging fruit right about now. Do you guys really think that the price is going to go to zero?

Edit: Could wait no longer.

Hard to say, large traders are trolling the markets, I always do 50% investing and 50% btc, so I can buy more when price goes down.
Reaching a low of 1900sat could be the absolute bottom, but for sure I keep some bitcoins to buy more under 1999sat.

Best thing is if you can't watch it, do something else, come back in a few days and I'm sure it won't be at this low level Smiley

13035  Other / Off-topic / Tips for changing from iOS to Android ?? on: June 22, 2014, 01:31:18 PM
I'm thinking of moving to Android OS after 5 years, but not sure if I really will do it. My main problem is that I have probably €1000+ worth of apps and €500+ worth of music within the iOS environment, buying all this back on an other platform can take some serious money.

Nothing wrong with Apple, but I really like the larger screens that the Androids have, and also much more costomizable.

How are you guys doing this when you switched from iOS to Android ??
13036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: MYC(MyCoin)DO NOT BUY ANY MYC on any Exchange now! on: June 22, 2014, 01:15:19 PM
Why are people so ignorant ?

The "dev" created this premined coin with 1 purpose, squeezing as many btc out of you guys as possible.

Premine is 100% !! 99% for "bounties and promotions", and 1% for "development".
Who on earth is going to believe that, look at the logo, it looks like a windows paint logo....

Look at the description, here is a quote : MYC(MyCoin)devote ourselves to create the first completely commonweal coin all over the world. We do believe that this is going be a great historical Altcoin.
So poorly made, and what even funnier is that people actually fell for this scam.

This "dev" gave away here and there some coins, but he is/was holding atleast more than 50% of the coins for himself.
Imagine that... More than 440,000,000 remained in his pockets, and he took the chance to dump everything on Mintpal.

At 1 or 2 sat there is some money to be made if you buy at 2 sat and sell at 3, that's cool, but a lot people bought in at 20/30 sat with many bitcoins.
I have seen 4 / 5 btc buy walls getting destroyed in seconds at 20 / 30 sat.

13037  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you buy? on: June 22, 2014, 12:43:50 PM
SarahPalinCoin will invest it there once this coin is live.

People not related to silkcoin shouldn't be making forums to attract members as it is not official, silkcoin team should take care of everything as it then is official.

Just be patient and let the devs do their work, if they release something good (I'm sure they will) a higher price will follow.

People that buy stocks are investing their money 1 or more years for only 5% or so in profit, crypto guys can't even wait 2 or 3 weeks.... A few days is already too long for them.
Shame on you guys!!

It's like you're saying that there shouldn't be built new churches, because..?

It's better if you have more forums. Information is what's needed.

In this case, rule of "quality over quantity" doesn't apply, IMO.

Nothing wrong with more forums, but there already is an official forum, so it's better to get users to join that one Smiley

White paper isn't the problem, there is no problem  Wink

A small group of smart traders are just accumulating coins to get them off the market, with less coins on the market it will be easy for them to pump the price.

And they have also less worries about people dumping then. I can't really say that I didn't like the dump as it gave me the opportunity of buying in at low prices Smiley

Remember 1 thing :  Soon the dump will end, the whales can't risk putting large sell orders at these prices because they will get eaten in no time!
