Maybe in the opposite side the blind justice blindfolded woman with the equal scales symbolizing a fair coin for everyone. That's open domain.
Should it also have a picture of you removing your 11% (or whatever it is now) from the scales while she's not looking?

Ahahaaaaa.'

I tried over the last 3 days to avoid a premine but after going back and forth it seems that's the only feasible way.  Talk to the programmer and ask him how hard I pushed for no premine.

Look it's 5% premine and my 1%.

Many, many coins are getting way more via other schemes.  I will give away these 5% coins in a heart beat to bounties and whatever else you guys want.

I have gone to Scrypt, I chose the name you wanted, I've done everything you guys wanted but I can not get paid a paltry 1% and then expect me to pay to support this coin and work 12 hours per day here too.

The 5% is for this coin, it's for you guys. You dictate where you want it to go and I'll do it.

Keep tabs of every coin I hand out and you will see not one single coin will go in my pocket.  I have been honest so Far and I've done what was best for the miners so here is where you have to trust me just one bit.  Give me just a few days to prove to you this is not a pump and dump coin and I have only good intentions.

Just give me one chance to prove it cause I haven't let you guys down yet.
13042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nuggets Launching: Coin Graphics on: July 14, 2013, 04:16:28 AM
5% is way too much.

So lets say on the low end the coin has 21M coins (like BTC), 5% of that would be 1,050,000 coins.

For the high end, say 300M coins that would be 15 MILLION coins.

A fair pre-mine would be about 0.1% to 0.3% in my opinion (that's 1/10th of a percent to 3/10th of a percent).

Just sayin. And there's no reason to put it in a public wallet, how is that going to work out? Who controls it? Bad idea in my opinion. Just mine the first block and distribute the coins yourself, much easier.

What do you mean?  How will you guys hold me accountable if I don't put it in a public wallet?  I don't wanna hear crap that I took that 5%.

You guys tell me where to put the 5% premine and I'll do it in the best way possible so you guys know it goes to bounties and whatever you guys want.  That 5% premine belongs to you guys, you do with it as you please.

I've been asking for 3 days now and we can't seem to reach a single consensus - nothing but extremists here.
13043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nuggets Launching: Coin Graphics on: July 14, 2013, 04:11:53 AM
Although I think 5% is a little much, I support a premine for bounties and such. Keep a couple coins for yourself too (but don't be greedy).

Too many people are bitching that I should pay out all the bounties while shouting 1% is too much.

Enough is enough.  I talked to the programmer who has a great rep and he said 5% will be put in a public wallet and EVERY SINGLE COIN will go to you guys in way of bounties, awards, etc, and because I'm paying for this launch and will be here full-time my share is just 1%.

So the miners get 94% plus another 5% coming back at you.

And as a bonus wait until I unveil the VGB protocol, miners will love it.  That's your bonus - this protocol will be what makes this coin a miner's coin.

Can you CPU mine this thing?  Solo?  TIA
13045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nuggets Launching: Coin Graphics on: July 13, 2013, 11:57:47 PM

Ahahaaaaaaa.  Chicken nuggets.  That's so funny.

I know it's not useful, but I've always loved this coin
good luck with your release  Smiley

That's exactly what I had in mind.  Is that open domain?
13048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Coin Made Especially for Miners. on: July 13, 2013, 11:39:49 PM
Lol, I keep telling you.  Everything here is copyable.  It's not if they are running away with your secret, that a different coin will pop in a week after yours.  In reality, if you idea is that good, 50 coins will pop the very next day with your VGB protocol.  Even if the programmers don't give it to anyone.  But don't worry.  If they are truly working on trying how to get your protocol working, they are going to be to busy to be reading forums.  And I am sure both of them have day jobs and go to sleep as well.

Looks like you were right.  He responded. He's working in my coin. He asked for half payment so I paid him in full.

Now I have to decide if 5% premine is a good idea for money for things like bounties. People flipped at 10% so hopefully 5% is ok.
13049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Nuggets Launching: Coin Graphics on: July 13, 2013, 11:29:19 PM
Ok, the miners coin (Nuggets) is close to ready for launch.  I just paid and the programming is on its way including the VGB Protocol.

I'm considering 5% premine for bounties, rewards, etc since everyone one was flipping out about 10%. This 5% would be in a public wallet so what do you say? That leaves 94% for miners.

If people are against the 5% then I'll shut it down, no big deal so let your opinion known. Without this 5% there will be no coins, no money for any bounties or awards, etc.

Now, I need some graphics coin for Nuggets for the client so it can look legit.

Can Anybody here slap together a Nugget coin?

I'm thinking an old timer look, maybe a gold coin with some nuggets on one side and some old classic cowboy miners on the flip side or the lady, blind justice with holding a sword and scales.  But be creative and let's get something today cause the coin will be done soon.

Thanks!
13050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Attn: MarkM et al, Urgent need for a Competent and a honest Programmer! on: July 13, 2013, 01:28:46 PM
I'm going to bed.  I hope and pray tomorrow there will be at least 1 honest and competent programmer interested in my coin idea.

Good night you guys.  God Bless!
13051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Attn: MarkM et al, Urgent need for a Competent and a honest Programmer! on: July 13, 2013, 01:22:35 PM
Attn:  MarkM and all very competent and experienced programmers!

I badly need an experienced programmer to code my coin.  I've been told by other programmers my coin is too ambitious.  That's a good sign as it may mean its not another crap coin.  I can pay half upfront and I doubt it would take you more than 48 hours.

Please, honesty and integrity first.  Don't leave me hanging Like the other guys.  I'll do anything to not release another crap coin, out of respect for guys like MarkM.

BTW: MarkM, I feel you'd be perfect for this job and this isn't going to be a CrapCoin so please consider this proposition - it's only max 48 hours of your time.

This coin is less for me and more for the mining community.  Please let me know if you're that guy and if you want your name to remain anonymous i promise you no one on the face of the earth will know your name.  The other 2 programmers I tried to hire vanished after I told them my VGB protocol so now I have To worry they'll steal my innovation as it was totslly new.  Please be honest as I really try to be honest in return.

Help me get this coin launched with the miners in mind - they don't have their own coin and I think they should.

Please have experience cause I've been told this coin has high ambitions by an experienced programmer so I don't think this is another CrapCoin. And if it is I'll pay for more original features.

This is of urgent matter in case my ideas have been compromised, since those 2 other programmers know each other and they don't even respond to my PM's.  I appreciate your efforts.

Thank you and I look forward to nearing from you guys.
13052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Coin Made Especially for Miners. on: July 13, 2013, 12:46:32 PM
Good nights everyone.

Hopefully I'll hear back from muddafudda and Shakezula when I wake up cause I'm seriously worried right now at the lack of response once I gave them my VGB protocol details.  Maybe they're just busy but it still worries me since I don't know them at all.  I'm feeling extremely depressed by all the negativity, bashing and now 2 good programmers vanished with the only edge I had.  Sob!

Goodnight and God bless everyone.  I'm hopeless right now so it's all in God's hands now.
13053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Coin Made Especially for Miners. on: July 13, 2013, 12:41:28 PM
But the 1%, I don't get the hostility,  its such low pay.  All devs make money off their coins and it's a lot more than 1%.  Even pools make 2-3%.  I don't see the harm in getting 1% of coins mined when miners get 99%.  I seriously fail to understand this.  How can you peopl expect innovation when you become hostile at the mere sight or 1% profit?  I don't get it.

It's not a decentralized cryptocurrency when it privileges someone like that. Could you imagine if the Linux kernel had a backdoor in it just for the kernel author to use, and he tried to justify it as a privilege for him doing the work for free? Why would anyone use that system?

If you're looking to get directly paid for work, then releasing open source decentralized P2P software is not the correct place to look for it. Operate a mining pool or some other service if you want to take a cut.

I don't know how to do mining pools and I see lots of devs getting paid directly using various schemes.  I wanted to avoid schemes I wanted to be upfront and honest.   Now I see why all devs use clever schemes to get paid.  Now I don't blame them.

Thanks for the advice anyway.  Good night.

Just premine.

I thought that was a big no-no but the way everyone is acting at a measly 1% payout - a premine is starting to look like the best option.  But I may do 5% instead of 10% with 1% going to me and 4% to bounties, rewards, etc.  thanks, wolf.

Now I just need one honest and gutsy programmer who isn't gonna dissapeared after I tell him my VGB idea.  I'm honestly worried they're off right now doing their own coin using my VGB protocol. I think I got robbed.  I thought I found a guy with real honest integrity but he won't even respond to PM's.   Sad.  Really sad.

I'm going to bed.

I tried so hard to make an innovative coin for the people but it looks like instead I got my best ideas ripped off.  Naive I was and now others will make money off my hard work and my ideas.  I'm honestly feeling so depressed.  Thanks to everyone and good night.
13056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Coin Made Especially for Miners. on: July 13, 2013, 12:09:47 PM
And 2 programmers now know my VGB protocol.  I hope they have integrity otherwise I'm sure a coin using my innovation will pop up in less than 1 week.  I'm getting so depressed from this whole horrible experience.  I trusted 2 seemingly good programmers and now they've dissapeared.   Truly sad.
13057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Coin Made Especially for Miners. on: July 13, 2013, 12:07:03 PM
Again, Vlad, you are missing the point that is upsetting people about the 10% thing. That is centralizing the currency when the entire point of cryptos is to be decentralized. We cannot possibly make this any clearer to you from all the points that people have given you.

The good thing about this, though, is that even talking about all of this stuff is getting attention to your project, but please, for the sake of you not wasting your money to pay someone, as well as your time getting everything together, do not take the 1% for you to keep, or the 10% for whatever.

Again, you are trying to centralize something that should have no controlling authority. I'm trying to be as nice as I possibly can because I really do like you and your ideas, but please don't ruin this thing before it even starts. We are all warning you that those 2 things (or even 1 if you implement either one) is going to be your downfall. It's not about us thinking you will steal the coins or not do as you say, it's about centralizing it, thus eliminating the entire point of why we are all here in the first place

It's not your place to decide where 10% of the entire currency goes. Leave it up to the miners and put up a donation address. People are a lot more giving and willing to support a good dev team than you are giving them credit for

If you really want your 1%, just make a pool and charge up to 2%

Fine, I'll do a donation address.  Or since its not for me but the miners then I'll just eliminate the 10%.

Besides, no programmers are responding so this looks like a dead, never-has-been coin. Truly makes me sad as lots of miners would have loved this coin.  And I have the money to pay the programmers so I don't get it.   Truly sad.

But thanks for your constructive criticism, brother.

That is weighted word count not number of shares. I will graph the share distribution when I know the new Admin number of shares, and provide devcoin value per share.

Share count
Bitcoin share list - 17 shares
Bounties - 81 shares
Devcoin share list - 1 share
Devtome earnings - 446 shares
Marketing - 28 shares
Admin - not sure

Total = 573 shares <--Admin shares not included yet. Last round Admin shares were 70.

Not bad, better than last round.

Anybody know if writing for round 25 is now closed?  Not sure if that 1,000 block count was never given or not.  Cause now we're above the 97,300 deadline. I wanted to squeeze out one more article.
13059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DVC]DevCoin - Official Thread - Moderated on: July 13, 2013, 11:20:41 AM
Thanks, looks like each share will be worth well under 100,000 coins for round 25.  No more going back now to where earning will be possible.  For round 24 I earned $3 per hour, now its looking like $2 per hour.  I don't know how much time I'll be able to contribute going forward.  Sucks, this was such a nice way to earn coins.  Too many earners from emerging 3rd world market is my guess.  Thanks and good luck..
No it says cumulative word count and I posted some links earlier with running details for the round that you responded to, but obviously didn't read.

I thought the links were for some other things I'll check it out now .  Thanks.

Accumulative weighted word count at Devtome at end of Round 25 is charted below. If there's any changes I will update.
