13081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: problem with testing phrases for wallet on: November 26, 2020, 06:37:27 AM
I have problem with my 24 phrase of coinomi wallet. I have written them but I forgot to write their order number , so I have the 24 word but their arrangement is not correct
Did you not just write them from top to bottom, left to right, or in rows that give some indication of their order? If so, try all possibilities.
If you wrote them completely random (which is very unlikely), you can forget about it ever restoring them.

A quick calculation puts an Intel i7 @ 4ghz with 8 cores at a time of 25k years...
Only if every CPU tick checks 25 possibilities... It doesn't. Your estimate is several orders of magnitude too optimistic.

But its like we want to crack 24 digit password with 24 characters , its easy for computer to test all of this possibilities
When numbers are this big, it's not "easy" and certainly not worth the CPU power to brute-force it.

and In the second step, Takes a test of this 24 phrases and asks s to order them correctly.
then I have only the phrases of second step (screen shot) ( they are not in correct order ) Sad
How is that possible? Coinomi asks you to confirm the words by clicking them, and you can't do that if you don't know their order.

I believe Coinomi sorts the words alphabetically in the second window
I just checked, this is correct.

What if the current 2020 timeline is the best possible option out of billions of simulations?

13083  Other / Meta / Re: Do you want more or less freedom? on: November 25, 2020, 07:47:30 PM
The pedantry of the term "freedom" aside
I meant the one about expression, not about oil Wink
13084  Other / Meta / Re: The Avatar would have to be optional in signature campaigns? on: November 25, 2020, 07:24:28 PM
It belongs in meta in my opinion as it looks like he's asking the forum admins to prohibit it or make a rule against it.
In that case: What is it with people asking to take away freedoms all the time? This forum gives freedom, enjoy it! There are millions of websites out there that don't give you freedom, don't try to turn Bitcointalk into that direction. Please!

Maybe it would be a good idea to organize some kind of petition? If enough people agree with this idea, maybe the forum administrators will react and introduce some kind of rule or restriction for bounty campaign organizers.
Here you go.
13085  Other / Meta / Do you want more or less freedom? on: November 25, 2020, 07:24:12 PM
This forum offers more freedom than any forum I've ever seen, but unfortunately, I often see people petition for less freedom.

Only on condition that each section is in a separate document, otherwise the meaning is lost. Smiley

Eighty-eighth week paid.
Great timing, thanks again! My time machine and I were on the phone, hence my delay.

Hello.
Please don't break bumping rules in my topic.
13089  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here on: November 25, 2020, 06:08:55 PM
Yest it's signed with trezor but can't be verified with an other app or service (like Bitcoinsummoner said) Huh
Try signing from a legacy address (starting with a 1)? If you ever need to verify ownership, it's convenient if it can be verified by people who don't own certain hardware.
13090  Other / Meta / Re: [TUTORIAL] ᗌ Embed GIF's in your own articles (Easy way) ᗏ on: November 25, 2020, 06:04:25 PM
This is not a problem today, but I can potentially see gifs becoming disallowed if enough people are sufficiently annoying with their GIFs.
In Firefox: about:config, search: image.animation_mode, set to "once" (type the word).
Sometimes it takes me months to realize a certain image is animated.
13091  Other / Meta / Re: The Avatar would have to be optional in signature campaigns? on: November 25, 2020, 05:59:13 PM
I believe that the decision to use the avatar field in a campaign should be optional, not mandatory
Joining a signature campaign is indeed optional Wink
This has nothing to do with Meta, you should probably move (bottom-left) it to Service Discussion.

13092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: have address and key now what ? on: November 25, 2020, 05:37:28 PM
I have the private key stored away
The private key is all you need, you can derive the Bitcoin address (and public key) from there if needed.

Quote
I have no idea ~ how its stored.
Short answer: on the blockchain Smiley The private key is enough to move funds, but before you do (assuming you want to sell them), make sure you know what you're doing.
Importing the private key into Electrum is probably the easiest. Depending the amount of Bitcoin you're looking at, you may want to take additional security measures.
13093  Other / Archival / Re: [Need Help] Topics List on: November 25, 2020, 04:54:28 PM
Ideally, I will need in the future all sections of the Russian locale in this format, but for the time being, two of them will be enough Smiley
Can you get me all board IDs you want? I'll do them all at once (and I'm lazy).
13094  Other / Archival / Re: [Need Help] Topics List on: November 25, 2020, 04:41:06 PM
Thanks for the answer. Yes, I remember about the impossibility of inserting Russian characters, so I would be quite satisfied with just links to topic names.
How's this?

It won't fit in 20 posts Tongue

13095  Other / Archival / Re: [Need Help] Topics List on: November 25, 2020, 10:58:28 AM
For example, here is the section in the ru-locale: Oбcyждeниe Bitcoin, there are 615 pages with topics
Your link doesn't work, this one does: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=128.0

Quote
I would like to convert it all into this format:

Code:
[url]https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=808948.0[/url]
[url]https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2897133.0[/url]
I can easily get you this, but this way it won't include the topic titles. Is that what you're looking for?
I never found a way to convert "Russian HTML characters" to BBCode, so I can't add the titles.

Quote
That is, move all topics in this section to the general list with links.
It doesn't make sense without titles, right? And with titles, it'll take several posts because of the 64kB post limit.

Quote
Is this possible? Ideally, I need a list of topics for each section of the Russian locale. Thanks.
I can get you a few long lists on for example loyce.club/Russian including titles. Will that work?
13096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: {help me} i lost my bitcoin on: November 25, 2020, 10:27:15 AM
The address doesn't have any transaction in it.

https://blockchair.com/search?q=14cac8EzqBKs8Wrwt5ZXippow8ZcmtYfzb
For some reason Blockchair.com doesn't say when an address is incorrect.

transferred my bitcoins to this address 14cac8EzqBKs8Wrwt5ZXippow8ZcmtYfzb
Did you type the address instead of copy/pasting it?
14cac8EzqBKs8Wrwt5ZXippow8ZcmtYfzb is wrong.
14cac8EzqBKs8Wrwt5ZXippow8ZCmtYfzb is correct.

This is for 2020.3.25
Why did you wait 8 months before you post about this?

That is weird, blockchain.com's withdrawal can't be a "batched withdrawal" unless you own the input which previously had 60BTC balance.
Correct. I now wonder how hosseinh110 got that IP address, and why he thinks it's related to a transaction that can't be made by his Blockchain.com online wallet.

I censored 2 posts because of accidental doxing (and quoting this):

I'm just posting it here for full disclosure.

Like I said the first time, sometimes it is good to wait before supporting or opposing flags.
If it is an actual scam, an Active Flag means users (including "guests") see a big red warning above the topic. But it only needs 3 DT-supporters for that.
The negative feedbacks and Flag Supporters are almost gone, most of the remaining supporters haven't been online yet. If there's anything left in a few days, I'll PM them.
