I see a chart.

I see lines on a chart.

I knew I was missing something obvious!

Can people please realize that the more/faster people accept bitcoin, the more volatile the price gets as each new acceptance triggers more people buying to spend, and more merchants selling a bit afterward, as well as increased media coverage == more speculators...

its best we get most of the growth priced in within the first 16 years so that bitcoin can finally be stable and work properly as a currency

 Cheesy

bitcoin is very volatile because its growing  its having growth spurts,  growing some more... its crazy

I think only temporarily (small wave). a third on the about 80 should be ... but who knows yet

I know thats what you think, you think next time you buy it will be lower than it is now.

I called bottom yesterday, i'm predicting 180 in ~20day.

so ya good luck!

soon i'll be looking to secure more fiat, and grow my stash   Cool

Worry not. There will be more lows. We'll go down 50 sooner or later.

Maybe even in a few days. There something worrying about this today's rally - I do not quite like the volume histogram. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Anyway, anybody who bought at 66 has plenty of time to exit their long positions in case there is danger to profits. Proper entry is one thing, but trade management (after the entry) is even more important.

the thing about vol. is that mtgox is losing market share, the 10day vollume looks gr8, nothing to worry about high 80s coming to mtgox once again  Tongue

Yep, it's a pump...look at the small volume hft manipulation.

The red candles will be coming soon.  Be cautious when others are greedy.

manipulation

its all manipulated in a way isnt the ups the down the bubbles...

not true,
the bitcoin market is extremely simple transparent, and heavily watched by thousands of people
its the free market, at its best.

i've been buying since double digits, dollar cost avg BTC profits, soon i'll be looking to secure more fiat, and grow my stash   Cool

But Dead Cat Bounce in 2011 was very large (much bulls believed that they were already at the bottom).

To be fair, we sort of did bounce from $57 to $166, if that can be considered the 'dead cat bounce.'

Think thats more like the 10 to 20 bounce, but of course this bubble isn't an exact replica of the last one.

Oh, ok.

I still think that $57 will be the bottom though.

indeed

to me, this crash is more like a bigger version of the priate40 crash at 16 down to 7
it was very violent a drop, and it went and touched bottom with the first knife
the huge bull trap
the slow slide down
the rebound above the low of the init. crash

now if we only wait a few months, if the pattern hold we be up 1,000%  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Haha

Believe it or not I was way more freaked out by that whole fork / tons of orphan block problem a while back than I am right now. Right now its just the free market being a free market and speculators being speculators. Back then we actually had a threat to bitcoin itself.

bitcoin is very robust, even in the mists of a complete melt down, you can rest assured that your tx will go through, as soon as the bug fix version is issued  Cheesy

it's truly amazing what we have here,
bitcoin is definitely the first of a kind.
