1321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do we build a strong community of supporters for crypto projects ? on: March 21, 2023, 03:34:47 PM

Unlike Bitcoin that created the cryptocurrency world with an unimaginable fan base, most altcoins have to do tons of work to earn all users' trust to flourish, especially for countless new projects. I believe each of you has been supporter to at least one cryptocurrency and know how that relationship works. There must be some appealing ways for crypto community to do to attract more fans. In your experience, what are the most important principles to build a strong community of supporters ? Please share your thoughts and/or methods. By the way, I am with FireDAO team, in charge of the global community. Please contact me if you have any question.

With Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrency giants plus thousands of altcoins in the market is very difficult to stand out from these projects, There are also a lot of projects and tokens getting launched daily, especially in the bear market is also hard to get the support of the community. In my opinion, a different approach or project that solves a different problem would work, we know that bitcoin and Ethereum are both cryptocurrencies but they have different structures, bitcoin is a form of money that can be used for digital transactions while Ethereum is a different platform for decentralized application and even smart contracts.

If you could create a unique project that solves a problem it might work, because that is what the community is looking for, if the project doesn't have any world use it was basically a useless project, Of course, you might get lucky like what happened to meme token but since they don't have any use we are not sure if the community will stay just because of hype or popularity.
1322  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mistakes small or big that will cause us a lot in the future on: March 21, 2023, 02:37:43 PM
Have you made something that you think, will not be a problem in the future? here are things that might cause you problem that others ignore

Share private keys with a friend or family - sharing is caring as we all know, but these are the things that we should not share to anyone even close friend and family, since they might turn their back against us, when it comes to money, I have read a story of a person who trusted he's friend and family and he though he was hack by some hackers turns-out he's friend did it. it will also cause you friends and family when this things happen.

Remember password to your browser - This might be look alright since you are using the computer but what if a family use your computer, and browse then suddenly your computer , gets compromise, the data that  are stored there might be at risk, specially if there is like keys, or phrase for a wallet.

Allow others to use your computer as an administrator and not a guest user - Since we are close to someone we allow them to use our computer as a administrator user who can install delete on our computer, this is not safe, they might accidentally delete files or application in your computer, for security, give them a guest user for your safety, this is not a bad things since you don't want anything scary happen when you came back and login, and all your applications and data are gone, because they accidentally delete or remove it.

Storing sensitive data in your Email account - We have sometimes store data in emails, but what if the account were hack, all the data there will be leak and use, like wallet keys and seed phrase, some store it locally or in an external drive just to be safe , some write it on the peace of paper and keep it in a safe place.

Not using Authenticator or Security Verification for online transactions - although this are now required on exchange or some site, emails , some people forget to enable it on some sites that are not required to do so, like on emails you have a choice to enable it, because some are lazy to do extra step for security that is why sometimes they are the victims.

Always in a hurry - since we are always on the go, we tend to be working fast sometimes, since we are being complacent on what we do, always be cautious when it comes to things we do online.

Using same password on registration/ easy password to guess Some are guilty doing this using same password for registration is a very big mistake, also password that are easily be discover like birthdays etc., this are the problems i have read before and still they are making same mistake.

This are things that cause others big time, if you can add or correct me on this post please do so, more than willing to learn more,  I hope other newbies like me can learn something on this and don't make mistake.

  • Sharing your private key is not a great idea at all, I mean you could just put it on a piece of paper or notebook for your family so that they can access it when the time comes, but sharing it with your friends is I think a big mistake because we're talking about investment and your money.
  • I didn't see administrator login as a problem since I'm the only one using my computer and I do not allow anyone to use it. So just don't let them use your computer if you have important accounts or files.
  • When you save your password to your browser or your email it wasn't really that bad, but it would be easy for hackers to gain access to your accounts if they infiltrate your computer. The same as saving your files to your email
  • Using an Authenticator is an added layer of security to your accounts so it's always recommended especially for your accounts that have balance.
  • I was one of the guilty saving the same password to some of my accounts, but I did change it, especially to my important accounts or accounts that have funds on them, I guess if it's just a random account on the internet you could do some random or similar password.

One of the most common hacking techniques is phishing which mostly happened through email messages disguised as an organization, sending malware, fake invoice, or asking a confirmation/personal information, etc. Probably just do not click anything that is suspicious on your messages or anything that is send by just some random guy on the internet.
1323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Low demands as bitcoin declined in price. on: March 21, 2023, 03:28:27 AM
Bitcoin surely doesn't have low demand as we can see in the market the price was around 25-28k$ which is already pretty high, I mean it has the highest market price in all cryptocurrencies. So I don't think there was a low demand when it comes to bitcoin, because there are already a lot of investors that invested in it. And Where probably going to expect a lot of investors to join soon because of a lot of movement in the market, in just weeks the market price has a lot of movement and that is when a lot of investors try to make a quick profit.

We already have momentum, and the market is slowly recovering from the bear market, it is just a matter of time because at any moment we could easily expect a skyrocket in the market price of Bitcoin. But still, bitcoin is a big bubble that could easily crumble, it wasn't supposedly caused by the government I mean its a cycle and we cannot expect a Bullrun every time.
1324  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is OK to sell but is better to wait on: March 20, 2023, 02:31:08 PM
Some people will rush to sell at every slight increase. A friend was telling me I want to sell, even though my money is not complete and  I ask him of what profit has achieved investing in the first place? Investment is a like a future you keep hoping for the better.

Keep holding but he's eager to sell and relax his head from worries that is money has gone into extinction, lol. Increase you're having same such mentality, kindy advise!
Hold on and keep holding.
Time is coming when you will be excited about it.

It's not actually a bad move to sell quickly as long as you earn a profit, I mean profit is still profit and you still earn on that, you know that being greedy wasn't good for everyone so if you think you already earn a profit you could just sell it and it's not a bad thing to do. But of course, if you plan to invest in the long term especially if you waiting for the bull run it would make sense not to sell if you analyze the time high you know that there is still a huge gap and room for profit. It's not easy to hold or diamond hands on your investment but it will pay off when you finally sell it to a fair profit.

Remember to not be greedy because investing in cryptocurrency is just like a gamble so it's always a big risk, a volatile market could easily drop and if you don't have the cash to sustain yourself you might just sell it at a loss.
1325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New projects come out when bull market begin. on: March 20, 2023, 11:58:11 AM
Hello i just want to ask if i you guys also notice when the bitcoin rise there are also a lot of new projects come out and if bitcoin fall there are only few projects build, is it because some projects developer notice that most of the successful projects are build in bull market and most of the projects build on bear market are failed? Or they don't care about bull and bear market and they build thier project because the time is already been set?

The market is slowly recovering so probably we could expect a lot of projects as well, it's always a good time to start to go with the trend and hype of the market a lot of investors are surely starting to see a lot of opportunity. I mean if the timing was great you could easily profit if the project you launch becomes a success and in the Bullrun, it could easily x10 or even more. There is already a lot of movement in the market, especially bitcoin and I wouldn't be surprised if the price of bitcoin skyrockets at any moment.

Hello i just want to ask if i you guys also notice when the bitcoin rise there are also a lot of new projects come out and if bitcoin fall there are only few projects build, is it because some projects developer notice that most of the successful projects are build in bull market and most of the projects build on bear market are failed? The market situation affects many things such as the interest of investors to invest and new project developers to create projects, because there is an increasing momentum in the price of Bitcoin, it is likely that project developers will create projects in a good situation.

Currently many altcoins are built on the Arbitrum network, it is good news when the price of Bitcoin is slowly rising, many new projects are making good innovations.

Yeah, the Arbitrum airdrop just happened recently and probably they already starting the hype on their network and expecting the bull run soon, It's still a big risk on their side since the airdrop promotion is still not guaranteed. Im expecting a lot of projects like this soon, and hopefully, projects will stick and do what they promise for the community.
1326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking advice needed on: March 20, 2023, 08:02:45 AM
For a long term holder / investor, what are the risks available with staking coins and tokens that you plan to hold for a long period of time? I want to know if its safe to keep your coins in staking instead of just holding them in a wallet when your ultimate plan is to hold for long term.

You could easily earn a good percentage in staking compared to investing in banks that only give a low percentage annually. But the only problem is because these are centralized exchange or custodial wallets that offer this kind of staking bonuses, Most wallets crumble down when the market is down and probably will go bankrupt then you lose all of your stakes, even on other projects staking reward wasn't worth it, especially on the long term. I've lost a lot of money staking on many projects mostly it's better to profit quickly than invest it on staking since it's a scheme so that the platform will always have liquidity.

Would probably trust Binance for staking since it offers a good reward for staking, it's a big exchange and probably the best cryptocurrency exchange out there to trade, but still, there is a possibility. It is still your decision if you're going to risk it but I do not recommend a centralized wallet or exchange for long-term investment.
1327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing bitcoin to local communities/villagers on: March 20, 2023, 04:09:44 AM
I appreciate your teaching in your village about bitcoin it was difficult to teach them because of their situation, but I  don't think bitcoin is really what they need especially in times like this. I mean for someone who doesn't have or cannot afford smartphones I don't think they should learn bitcoin because we all know that bitcoin is a risky investment if you're going to start to teach them bitcoin at this point where they think that it is the thing that will rise them from poverty I don't think so. That just means that if they fail on bitcoin of their funds or money is gone as well since they depend on everything on bitcoin.

For me what these people need is a job or skills, bitcoin is an investment and they can't apply what they learn if they don't have funds to invest, also you should just invest a small percentage of your money because it's always a gamble.
1328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I found my Bitcoin books from 2016 on: March 19, 2023, 01:37:45 PM
I remember a lot from your stories, I found some of my bitcoin books as well that I bought from minerjones it was pretty cool and had awesome contents,

I also do a lot of faucets back in the day and it was a good experience for sure, doing faucets I think all of my claims only do around 30-50$ on multiple websites. But I think it was freebitco.in which I earned a lot, at that moment I do every possible way to earn bitcoin including bounties, airdrops, ICO, campaigns, etc. I admit it was really difficult to invest in bitcoin especially when you don't have a source of income, in my early days when I learn bitcoin I was only a student so even though I want to invest I didn't really have money to do it. But when I already started to earn bitcoin that is also what I used to invest and multiply my funds.

You have a long journey and learn a lot of things from that experience, you could always come back since the market is always open and has a lot of opportunity, I did sell my bitcoin as well when the bear market, but I didn't give up since from what I learn we still have a lot of opportunity and room for profit.

1330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Shiba Inu still worth it? on: March 19, 2023, 12:04:56 PM
I have 20 million but haven't bought any for over 6 months as I only bought at the time as I was fairly new to crypto and it was low compared to its all time high but I now understand market cap etc.

With its current market cap at $6.3b, how high can this realistically go? Is $100b possible? That would give it a 16x from current price if so which would be good.

With the release of Shibarium due this year I do think this will see the price rise but how much im not so sure?

I think if we're going based on its rank in cryptocurrency as a rank 13 altcoin I think it's a pretty good investment if you're waiting for the bull run since there is still a lot of room and opportunity to gain profit on this investment. I don't think that it's going to be a crazy number just like what happened before and we don't know hows the bull run is going to increase the market cap of the token. But in my opinion with a 6Billion market cap, I don't think it's still going to multiply like a crazy investment. You're going to carry a lot of risks if you do a lot of SHIB investment I mean a meme token was great for the hype but without a real-world use, I wouldn't expect to reach the level of XRP or Ethereum in some cases. But I would still take some risk for fun since with a low market price coin in the market it might still do 5x easily in the bull run in my opinion.
1331  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i have no programming knowledge. but i love bitcoin and would like to learn on: March 18, 2023, 06:21:08 PM
where should i start? really starting from zero.

When learning bitcoin you wouldn't need to learn any programming language since you just need to understand what bitcoin is and you don't really need to know the technical part of it. I mean if you start investing and trading on bitcoin and cryptocurrency you could learn it already plus you could easily add the knowledge you learn here in the forum, or you could also ask here in the forum if you need help with anything related to bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

Programming is pretty fun actually but you just need to put a lot of time and effort into it, I mean if you planning to develop projects on blockchain, cryptocurrency, NFT projects, contracts, etc. that's the part where you need to learn to programming, It was pretty much in demand this day and pay a very good amount of money, plus company hires developers and programmers most of the time so if your interested you could do that as well, all you need is google and youtube, etc.
1332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early bitcoin investment for my baby on: March 18, 2023, 07:51:58 AM
Few days back, I came across a post encouraging people to use the money well wishers gives to newly born babies and mothers as a gift  to invest in bitcoin for the baby,  then I was pregnant, just delivered 3rd of march. My baby and I has made up to $50 if converted just 10days after giving birth.  I am definitely going to use the money to invest in bitcoin this year for my baby so that in the next 18 years my baby will be proud of the decision I took for him.

Im so glad I discovered this platform this year, I believe I am going to achieve a lot from this forum

Below are lovely pictures of my cutie, my bundle of joy.🥰

I don't know if it's going to go well in the future plus investing is not easy to do especially when you're always watching the market, but I guess if you're just going to forget about your bitcoin and maybe just put it in a secure wallet then look at it after a few years I think it might work since it doesn't really get a lot of your time and you didn't really pay so much attention on it.

It's great to make a bank or funds for your child in his or her early days so that you will have funds in the future for your baby. But its always a bet and you don't really know if your investment is going to earn some profit on years of investment so if the baby really need something mind just used those funds to buy what the baby need instead of putting it on investment.

1333  Local / Pilipinas / Re: FlipTop Emcee nag promote ng Cryptocurrency at Blockchain sa kanilang kanta on: March 18, 2023, 07:09:01 AM
I dont know the reason kung bakit nila sinama dahil hindi naman masyadong sinabe sa lyrics your bitcoin pero medjo ginawan niya din naman ng connect ang blockchain and cryptocurrency kahit papano, and siguro para sa kanila ay medjo pasok din ang cryptocurrency or bitcoin since pwd mong sabihin ang bitcoin or cryptocurrency ay pangmayayaman or pang ganster, buy i mean hindi naman din siya bad influence or ginagawan ng masamang image. Its still sixth Threat and hindi siya basta basta sa mga MC so magandang promotion na rin ito sa cryptocurrency and bitcoin since napasama ito sa music video niya.

And update 652k views na ang music video in just 2 months not bad and great music overall. Sana lang magtuloy tuloy and laging maextra ang cryptocurrency and bitcoin sa mga content niya para maslalo pang lumawak ang cryptocurrency dito sa bansa since maraming naiimpluwensiyahan ang mga kanta niya.
1334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: March 18, 2023, 04:45:44 AM
as we know, many people suggest investing in bitcoin because the risk is not too high.
but if we look at the market there are lots of people buying altcoins, and to be honest I also like to buy altcoins but there aren't many of them, and it's still my biggest investment in bitcoin. and to be honest even though investing in altcoins is risky but I always want to buy and the reason is because of the high pumping..
and I want to ask everyone what is your  for buying altcoins, is the reason the same as mine?

The obvious answer is because of its high-risk high reward, the altcoin market is obviously so risky compared to bitcoin you don't really want to invest in a riskier cryptocurrency in my opinion but the thing is it just gives a higher return since it has a low market price so getting a big pump on that token could easily give you up 1000% or even more profit.

Just like what happened to dodge coin, the market price was just so low so a lot of people easily get 1000% of their investment, yes compared to bitcoin which already has a very high market price it would need to reach a certain price to even get 100% up on your portfolio, Yes were already last to invest on it since it already skyrockets years ago meaning where the one that whose carrying the risk. Altcoin can easily reach that in just a short amount of time then you could easily sell for an easy profit.
1335  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can you 'Will' your bitcoin to your children? on: March 17, 2023, 07:39:35 AM
In a case where you have five children and you don't have much physical assets but you have a enough bitcoin that non of your children are aware of it. Now your age is advancing, you begins to prepare "WILL" and there is no way to divide and share bitcoin account to the five children! What will you do? Since non of them are aware.

Can you "WILL" the private key to your favorite child or call them together and reveal the private key to them? Or what will you do?
OK guys is up to you!

I wouldn't really give my private key to my kids yet, Bitcoin was just a great technology, and it's a waste if I will not teach them to my family or even to my kids. So when I think it's the right time I will totally teach them about bitcoin, investing, and everything. I mean it's a good way to also teach them to invest on their selves so that in the future they might have investment funds etc. Giving them your private key was not a great idea I think since it adds risk to your wallet and that might spoil them.

What I will do is just wrote everything in a notebook or paper I will hide everything that they needed there in order to access everything that is related to cryptocurrency. And then when I die they can easily access those funds since they know bitcoin and you teach them about it.

1336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The value of bitcoin remains the same on: March 17, 2023, 07:04:48 AM
Its really junking hearing saying bitcoin has lost its values. Let me give you instance, if people reject from been a part of a club member does that makes you less human? NO. Bitcoin can never lose its values only price that deprecates on normal marketcap of cryptosystem and cryptocurrency. The figures remain same which makes the values same point, as long you keep holding, the price will definitely gets to your purchased value and gain better even where you allow your investment to grow with bitcoin, be patients and watch time counting, bitcoin will surely proves many enemies, and bring them to the club as a bitcoiner.

As long as there are people willing to buy bitcoin the value of bitcoin will never reach zero ever, I mean when you see the history I couldn't really imagine people not believing in it or just dropping a very low price. I mean in a sense it doesn't mean that it is not possible at all but at the same time, it doesn't mean that it's going to happen even though it is possible. If war explodes nobody would ever be interested in buying bitcoin unless you still have the capabilities to buy it instead of just focusing on surviving. If people are convinced that it is going to be the end of the world and we already have no future, nobody would ever still invest in bitcoin.

Bitcoin is still bitcoin, or should we say bitcoin technology, but for most people, this is just an investment, and even me so it all depends on the market price and that's how we value it period.

1337  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Paano nga ba mag bottom fishing? (High reward trading strategy) on: March 17, 2023, 05:22:17 AM
Dati nung active pa ako sa trading madalas ganito rin ang ginagawa ko since mastaas ang chance ng profit lalo na kapag may biglang pagdrop down ng presyo sa masket the n cutloss and set the profit i mean mataas talaga ang chance na magprofit and hindi ka din mauubos dahil may cutloss naman, Pero kahit anong plot pa rin naman ay hindi pa rin naten mapepredict accurately ang market so hindi pa rin talaga palaging panalo so set a limit parin sa itatrade mo. May winners at loserrs pa rin so may chance talaga na maubos mo kahit may cutloss.

Medjo nakakadrain nga lang ito since need mo bantayan talga ang market and news para mapredict ang galaw ng market usually kapag may news talaga magkakaroon ng malaking spike so pwding opportunity yun for profit. So siguro if hindi mo kaya bantayan ang market magtrade ka nalang paminsan-minsan kung saan sigurado ka na makakaprofit ka.
1338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The market will come back bigger again on: March 17, 2023, 04:33:47 AM
Hello guys,
With this ordeal going on it seems much-lost faith and bailed as if the whole market is going to vanish. This kind of thing happens more often in the stock market with inside trading, embezzlement, etc. In reality, it’s a perfect time to get in with everything dropping so low. It will come back and come back bigger than ever after this dies down and there will be improvements to hopefully prevent this from happening again. So do not lose hope and know that the bad time will inevitably pass, and you may not be able to make up for this opportunity again. Just my opinion.

The market has its cycle so it's normal for some to doubt if the market is still going to come back, I mean if you didn't have funds to sustain your lifestyle you’re easily going to crumble and sell that investment of yours especially when you see the market price keeps on going down slowly. One of the secrets is to have liquidated funds so that you still have enough when the bear market comes, you shouldn't really invest it all in cryptocurrency in the first place because it obviously has its risk and could end up losing a lot, but if you just invest a small percentage you could easily survive bear market until the bull run and earn a big profit because you still have a lot of funds.

I mean you could if you have diamond hands, but at some point, you’re going to need to take your profit not just hold forever, don’t be greedy.
1339  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Kyc worth the risk? on: March 16, 2023, 05:10:47 PM
Since joining this forum I have seen reasons why I should cautious about doing Kyc and Centralise Exchanges do ask for it but for a Trader is using Centralized exchanges the best ?
If Yes, what is the most secure centralise exchange to use? because I read that aside from a person identity be stolen, they may lost their funds or not been able to access it and this happened to FTX customers

For the most part, it's a very dangerous thing to do, since they could easily do anything to your identity. But I guess it wasn't that bad if you're going to do it on some trusted website I mean I do it most of the part If I really need the platform and when I think it's worth it. But I wouldn't do it if there are red flags and it's obviously a shady website.

I mean it is an exchange I would probably just do Binance for KYC and just do everything on it, then just trade on other platforms without doing KYC they didn't really need KYC for the most part I think. Binance was a pretty trusted exchange in my experience. What happened to FTX could easily happen to all the exchanges even to Binance but it was a pretty big legitimate exchange so probably small exchanges will crumble first before Binance.
1340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanging large amounts of BTC for FIAT on: March 16, 2023, 04:00:57 PM
Hello everybody.
A friend of mine has a problem and unfortunately they need to exchange BTC for FIAT and then withdraw the money to their bank account.
My friend has an account in Binance, but he asked me if I thought it was safe? Binance in my opinion is, like every exchange, a piece of sh... So, is there any other way to go about doing what he needs? I even thought of sending him FIAT and letting him send me BTC, because I don't plan to sell my BTC soon.

Notes:
1. When I say safe, I mean regarding the fact that exchanges are unpredictable and suddenly they decide to halt transactions. I don't mean anything about taxation etc.
2. He may have to trust an exchange after all, I know and he knows that...

I've used Binance for years and didn't really encounter problems I think you're going to be good, Binance is one of the top exchanges that you could use but still just do not put your funds on exchange for a long time, even though its a big exchange there is always the possibility that it might have issues like and possibly something similar to FTX could happen.

Still, I would still recommend Binance, but putting in a big amount of funds will not give you any issues. I think you're going to encounter this problem the time you convert your cryptocurrency or your funds to fiat money. When you put a large amount of money in the bank especially when it comes to something like Binance or a shady address the banks might hold your funds or ask where did you get that funds and then probably ask for some documentation. It already happened to my friend when hi try to cash out a big amount of bitcoin last time when bitcoin drop down a big percentage.
