stop talking about drugs. this board isn't about them.
Stop talking. This board isn't about you.

Note though although you seem to know much about bitcoin you don't seem to know much about drugs. What did I say about illegal drugs that is incorrect? Are you saying drugs can solve problems? The majority of LEGAL drugs don't actually fix anything, mostly they are for masking symptoms. Which is precisely what recreational drugs are used for: mask boredom, depression, anxiety, fatigue, craving, etc.

ecstasy (though why you include this in your list is beyond me)
I included ecstasy because the original use was as a marital aid touted by psychiatrists in the 70s as a miracle marriage saver. Not so much anymore. Ecstasy as a fix does not work because its a break from reality. Fiat currency is also a break from reality, that is why those currencies always fail. Bitcoin, on the other hand, is "honest" money. It does pretend to be backed by anything but stands on its own merits. It is open-source, secure and technically sound (so far). It tries to address reality instead of pretending there is no problem with the currency system.

Should somebody be able to replace their limbs with more powerful ones that could make one more capable of defending themselves?
Firearms solve a lot of personal defense problems.

Whether you like it or not Ron Paul is the dark horse candidate. He barley has a chance now, and loosing a caucus (which primarily has to do with organization and strategy) only sets him deeper into the dark horse corner. His supporters demand media attention like they deserve it!
What a joke! You're watching the media stick knives in RP's back, then you turn and tell his supporters they are asking too much when they ask for fair coverage. Give me a break. The PRESS-titutes have spoken. They need Ron Paul to lose.

Maybe we're lining his pockets.

My stats aren't updating. ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) I'm getting no errors in miner, and plenty of shares/no stales.

I agree totally. Im not sure why everyone joined the damn pool then.
I'm guessing it's because people could set it on auto-pilot and mine on the test pool while they were at work and then have it automatically switch to the live pool when the switch was turned on. We all paid dearly for that convenience.
|
|
|
Please knock these guys offline whomever is doing it. For a decentralized currency we are f*ing centralizing it with this damn pool.
Are you thick? The pool is sucking everyone out. If everyone were solo-mining, we'd all have a lot more coins. There's no need for pool at diff 4, or 64.

|
|
If you lemmings had solo mined from block 1, we'd all be better off.
|
|
|
Mmmm... I generated some block but they all disappiared! wtf?
What the fork?

Either I'm doing something colossally stupid, or something is wrong. I created an i0coin.conf in User->Appdate->Roaming->I0coin and has the lines rpcport=7332 in it. Still does not connect. Is there anything else to add to the conf file that I'm missing? What is your command line for the miner? Also, your i0coinc.conf needs to contain these lines (at least): server=1 rpcuser=xxxx rpcpassword=xxxx rpcallowip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx rpcport=7332

Does the full blockchain have to load before solo mining works?
My client only has 1066 blocks but I see over 1600 at btcguild.
Should i just wait until my client catches up (if it can)?
8 connections btw
Yeah, hawk i believe so.

A block is fully confirmed after 120 confirmations.

If I have solo mining up and running, is that preferable to using i0guild at this time?
How can I tell if I find a block? I started i0coind.exe, but when that's running, I can't run the regular client at the same time.
You need to use command prompt queries. From i0coin/daemon directory type "i0coind help" to see a list of commands.

5 shares accepted out of 853 ! LOLZ ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Solo has netted me 2 valid out of 961 blocks. 99.8% orphaned.

My client is still not connecting? Any help here?
Make sure the RPC port in your i0coin.conf file is 7332. Don't you mean 8332 Nope, I am solo mining with 7332 as we speak.
