FTC is garbage adam! lol only coins with innovation will succeed IMO

Historically markets don't necessarily respond to innovation (cf Betamax vs VHS, browser wars etc) - it comes down to people and FTC has an active community...have you checked out their forum or actually spoken to Chris?

I honestly used to root for FTC and be pretty involved with the community. that was until XPM and QRK came on the scene which made me realize how worthless FTC is. FTC is literally the exact same as LTC with 4 times more coins and horrible branding. Im sure it will do well (rise in price because BTC pulls it up) but I don't hold any

From my prior experience, I've done too much chasing after rallies, which resulted in bigger losses than if i just held my positions.

Volume enough for you yet?

lol nope, gox still under 10K
What is this gox you speak of?

A relic of a time long gone.

Gox is noticably falling behind Stamp on volume in this rally.

Stamp still doing only 12K...maybe this rally will take us to 800-1000 but there will be another big dump
goodluck!

Lol. Keep telling yourself that. History does not repeat itself in Bitcoin.

We are watching the non-Chinese inflated rally we should have had in November. Steady increases across the board. Now that China is handicapped, we can go at the pace we were mean to all along.

Price action is fractal, youre right about that...But volume will indicate when the next exponential rise has started, which isnt now. This exact same situation happened in may. Once "all" the shorts have fully covered then we will start to decline

What's with the steep ask wall? It's a bit antisocial don't you think?

A dump is coming in the next 2 weeks, volume hasnt been this low in a long time. This rally might have had legs is if every major exchange was pushing 50K a day, but most have been 10K and under for a week or so

Colored Coins or not, the legal situation regarding tradeable shares wont change. I'd also rather not be one of the first securities on this new system. Lets just stick to the plan and get this show on the road please

anything short of "here's pictures of our chips" or "we'll be going live on CT by Friday" would be disappointing.
1331  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price for January on: January 01, 2014, 02:33:44 PM
Greetings.
I have some savings in btc, and I'm waiting for a good moment for selling. I've seen that fabulous rise during past autumn, and I've seen that drop of December. Do you think the price will continue to grow in January? It is vital for me to sell as early as it can be done while minimizing the the losses (in fact, I bought most of my btc when it was about 900$), because now I plan to buy decent equipment to mine scrypt coins. With difficulty increasing each day, I think my reason is clear. So, what's your opinion on this?

hold your coin and buy scrypt coins....buying has always been more profitable than mining

The Eligius miners have dropped off to almost nothing suddenly after all this speculation about them being ACTM chips arises...

coincidence?

Holiday charts should be thrown in the trash. This is all about whether fresh fiat arrives in January and how much of it. If fiat arrives the markets will go up whether your charts say its likely or not.

These "Holiday Charts" have been spot-on in the past, so i see no problem in posting TA to add to the discussion. Smart money  and "fresh cash" doesnt buy into weak rallies either, they wait for capitulation. 600 on gox is coming

Once everyone gets over the whole "new year omg" thing there should be another significant dip

allright, let's have a more meaningful exchange of thoughts...

why do you think there might be a dip and into which timeframe do you suppose it could fall in?

Every exchange is sitting at daily volumes of less than 10K and we are very overbought with the low volume. The fundamentals are strong and I'm a long term bull but this rally has no legs, simple as that. Im expecting us to go sideways for perhaps another 2 weeks and then have a fall but nobody knows!

Check out the chart below. Stochastics are telling us we are in very overbought territory and price volume oscillator is showing a huge divergence in price and volume. Looking historically at that indicator (and especially the combination of the two) one can only make an educated guess as to what happens next. Sure it is a risk to be holding cash right now, but I see it as a bigger risk to buy into this weak rally

1336  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 01, 2014, 02:29:22 AM
gentlemen, increase your longs, you will not regret. it's plain to see.

the clock has flipped the year and we're instantly seeing heavy buying pressure.

why?

well-funded startups/investors/gamblers acting "on plan" are going into "btc-acquisition-phase". they have bots and/or trading staff.

look at the buying-pattern on stamp. big money wants in.

let's welcome the new money!

dat volume tho   Undecided still not convinced.

100 Support @ $812
137 Support @ $809

Calm down, mtgox (and every other exchange) has under 10K daily volume for the past week
Lets break 900 with at least 50K + daily volume and then ill be on the train

I dont understand why all this is still under NDA?
This seems like a plausible connection considering the hashrate and electricity usage. I have always figured that we were working with alot more than 3TH ever since deposits from those chips stopped.

Hopefully Ken can clarify how much we actually have hashing and get our damn shares trading again, this is getting ridiculous

So, seriously. How does one avoid the image block?

If TA were an exact science, that would be pretty conclusive.
