1321  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is right now a good time to buy Bitcoin / Ethereum? on: July 07, 2017, 03:18:21 PM
Both them had the same future that will be useful from the future well bitcoin is really good for now and maybe in the next month bitcoin will be decrease as the manu speculation but im not saying it will become true however we want can assured are income buy buying another coins like what you say ethereum.
If you talk to experts or people who have been dealing with bitcoin for a while now, the simple answer they will give you for this question is “any time is a good time to buy bitcoins”. Bitcoins are more profitable than any other online currencies out there and price of bitcoin rises day by day.

People start from a small amount like 0.0001 bitcoins at one point and then starting from that make millions. Bitcoin is reaching unbelievable heights and cannot be to stopped from gaining more success.
1322  Economy / Speculation / Re: Any long term HODLers increasing the BTC stash by trading? on: July 07, 2017, 02:31:51 PM
I am a long term HODLer and believer in BTC.

I have been adding to my position since 2013. and sold 0 BTC over time.
Obviously I am happy with the development but the worm of greed is always digging in the back of my mind. Could I increase BTC if I sold BTC for some fiat or Tether before correction and add more BTC when the correction ends.

I had no problem holding BTC when it crashed from 900$ to 200$ but I would have mental issues if I converted 1 BTC to 2400$ and had to buy again at 2500$ thus diminishing my BTC stash.

Are there any long term HODLers who are succesful at employing this tactic of buying corrections? If so I would like to hear your strategy. Thanks.

Yes, there are people who are using bitcoins for business from its birth in 2009. They have saved a lot of bitcoins since 2009. Long term holders mostly keep their coins in two categories. One in which they put the savings and other in which they keep the bitcoins to do the trading.

Many people have adopted these ways since 2009 and are getting profits of millions since then. You just need to learn the skills need and before long you will also be trading and stashing thousands of bitcoins.
1323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your maximum win streak? (Dice) on: July 07, 2017, 10:07:02 AM
My maximum winning streak in dice was 13 or maybe 14 wins in a row.
I could make some serious money if i only had raised bet 2X on every win, instead of that i hit lots in a row and i lost money at the end.
wow huge mistakes guess we really don't have any control with the results if you just keep betting double and you got that lucky strike maybe you earned a lot but worse things happen instead of winning it happen that you loses it back together with your money i guess the only thing i remember is winning 6 rows then nothing follows that's why i already quit and stop playing dice.
You are right doubling on each win will be very dangerous and anti-martingale sort of. I have never had more than 3-4 wins in a row but that is because I mainly gamble on sports and getting even 3 wins in sports betting is a big thing.
I think it's not about how many consecutive wins we get, it's much about the winning stake and the loosing stake, as far as winning stake is bigger than those of loosing ones, you are good.
1324  Other / Archival / Re: Which one is more risky? Skill-based gambling or trading? on: July 07, 2017, 08:34:18 AM
Everyone has his/her own opinion in regard to the subject matter. As an economics students, i learned that there is a percentage of risk in any venture that is geared towards growing your income. If you look at trade, it has its own risks which range from market conditions, political environment and even environmental factors. Gambling also has its own risks because you are depending on a chance to win. You can be lucky in gambling and win and fail to get anything in trading due to some conditions, therefore, all of them involve some sort of risk.
But skill based gambling like poker and few other games require minimal luck and mostly your skill and ability to judge cards. I have seen some guys making terrific profits from poker and all they do is just have a big bankroll and they play poker with that, while trading I am now sure if there is anyone who always makes profit.

Though for ordinary people like me too, I would always do trading rather than skill based gambling since our skill level may not be good enough to win against the pro.
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make sure you don't lose money on: July 07, 2017, 08:03:29 AM
There is already a casino that promises 0% house edge and they have started with a crowdfunding. You can also do the same, just read about how edgeless.io have started off the ground without their pocket money. That might help you...
Can you please name the casino and having 0% house edge makes it fair for gamblers and house, I mean no advantage to the house. But that said, there are all the possible chances that you still lose because usually it's the greed and hunger to win more that makes us loose.

I don't know if such a casino would be in profit or loss at their end but surely a good idea and good for gamblers too. Practically house edge alone does not decide the profit/losses of both gambling houses and gamblers. Houses are having many more ways to generate their income whereas gamblers face many other difficulties to incur losses.
1326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 10.000 € Giveaway for our Members on: July 07, 2017, 06:52:06 AM
We'll give away those 10.000 € for sure. What escrow service do you suggest?  Smiley

It's more or less customary to use one of the trusted escrows on this forum. Since €10k =~ 4.4 BTC, you might opt to use 3 or 4 escrows.

Here's an old list of trusted escrows: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0 It was last edited ~1.5 years ago, since then other trusted escrows poppep up, but the ones in this list would still work.

BTW, B4RF is completely correct, i don't think you'll get many users to start using your channel with the mere promise of €10k, you have to make sure that you can prove the fact that you're legit, and escrowing the funds is indeed a good way to do this.

Thanks for the information. I think that's a good way to go for us aswell. How reliable is that list, when it was edited ~1,5 years ago? That's a long time.

Here is how we'll do it: At 10k users in our channel, we'll start the escrow and everyone can see that we are legit.  Wink
Funny indeed! What one expects is, you fund the escrow first then people will join your group. But what you say is, first join the group, let there be ten thousand members, then you will fund the escrow.
So, you are sticking to your own goal of 10K members, and what if you cannot achieve the desired numbers, which you probably wont ?
1327  Economy / Services / Re: WANTED: Full Members or higher to make an ICO ANN on: July 07, 2017, 05:50:45 AM
Hi,
We plan to make our ICO ANN this week and are looking for a Full Member or higher with no trust level issues to make the ANN on our behalf. We will compensate for the right candidate.

Thanks!
C
So your starting immediately lead to another thread after three whole weeks Smiley

Instead of just beating around the bush with multiple threads, why don’t you give the right information which everyone is asking for if you have a legitimate service to promote?
Or are you looking for some unsuspected member to promote some crap and get his account filled with red trust?

1329  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin provide income on line? on: July 06, 2017, 03:24:24 AM
In some instance bitcoin can really provide income online. But this does not merely mean that we must depend our financial needs all throughout bitcoin. Although bitcoin can give us a possibility to earn money, it does not mean that we must left the work that we use to be and just focus on bitcoin. Bitcoin can somewhat provide income for those seekers that needs extra or back up money. But we must not be dependable on it.
People usually sit at home and do freelancing. Thus many people depend on the money they earn online.
Since, bitcoin is steadily evolving currency, it can be fairly said that people's incomes do depend on bitcoin. In the near future there is a strong possibility that bitcoin might replace the all other currencies of the online market entirely.

Our world is moving toward digitization even underdeveloped countries are also showing big interests making their routine life easier by digitization and for online dealing, bitcoin must be the final stopping point for anyone who value their freedom and peace of mind.

Bitcoin related developments will find big boost in coming years which will ensure more online earning compared to what we are getting right now. Surely we can expect that bitcoin will provide better income in coming years.
1330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Superstition on: July 04, 2017, 07:17:36 PM
Gambling have no link with superstitious. But i see a lot of people are superstitious usually when they start betting, because they believe on something unique and different, but behind the scene nothing is here except luck. I believe only luck, it is working and we win everything including gambling because of luck.
For the belief, the gamblers are going to have, you cannot expect any link. But honestly gamblers are trying to link these two for some reasons.
Some gamblers find it useful for profit making some rest of gamblers never believe into any meaningless activities.
1331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel shameful for being a gambler? on: July 01, 2017, 03:12:09 PM
Don't be ashamed on what you are now or in the future because we are born as a unique person and we don't die as a copy. And all people have different fields on where they can excel. If you excel in gambling then continue at it.
This must be the philosophy, all the gamblers here are following. Usually gamblers do not mind what other people are thinking about them and that is the reason they keep on gambling even they are facing many humiliating situations in their real life.

But I do think if gambler start feeling ashamed for being a gambler due to heavy losses, they might get chances to stop gambling at certain point. When gamblers are being too ignorant against the society, they are feeding their addiction and continuing gambling.

Gambling is illegal to our country that is why many gamblers are considered sinners here and treated as if they have committed a serious crime like, murder, robbery and etc., when in reality they were just playing games that gives them relaxation and fun. There are gamblers who would do bad things or will commit bad ways just to play gambling and satisfy their craving and greed. But we must consider that not all gamblers are like that.

Gamblers must not feel any shame in playing gambling especially if they are just playing for fun and this is not wrong.

You cannot be sure all the gamblers are going for it just to have relaxation. In my opinion too, gambling should be prohibited like your country so that here my folks will get chances to save their lives. Many people are here ruining their life just with gambling. I guess a strong regulation against online gambling also should be made so that under age people may not gamble or will gamble with responsibly.
1332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Superstition on: July 01, 2017, 01:23:00 PM
Nothing to lose if you believe right?
But unnecessary belief might strain you when you need to focus on necessary things. I have observed superstition giving people some extra work other than what they need to do routinely.

If superstition 100% will support gambler for profit making then I believe there will be nothing wrong to follow it. But in real cases, superstition  is nothing but how our luck factor is working, full of uncertainity then I don't think it is good to have one more extra work.

1334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Governments Shutdown the Internet? on: July 01, 2017, 10:39:42 AM
First of all do you think government will do that just because of transacting of by using bitcoins? They can banned sites to access it but to shutdown the internet is a big problem for the government .Establishments and government uses over the use of internet will stop .Almost all of the things now were run by internet connections the security , banks etc. Don't ever bother yourself thinking up on that things instead do your best to make out bitcoins if you need .
Government will be having no reasons to stop internet hence why government would ban Internet.
Bitcoin has ability to bring some happiness in to our life. I think if they will take any action about banning people will do protest against it and will put pressure on government to lift ban from internet and bitcoin.
1335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a source of income? on: July 01, 2017, 10:09:27 AM
I can't really see any cryptocurrency being an efficient source of income. The price fluctuates way too much. One day you could have 50,000$ in a certain coin and the next day you're flat broke and can't pay bills. Of course it would work if you were very, very good at predicting the price of the coin so you can exchange when you feel the price way going down, or get more Bitcoin when you think it is going to go up, but you'd already most likely been in luck for a stable job if you were good enough at that. Smiley
Suppose if you saying that in an inefficient source of income ?
Let me give an example if you are interesting in these coins and want to take risk to become a millionaire. So you would go for bitcoin.

Because bitcoin has changed the history. Bitcoin has the changed the life of people. If those who has invested into other altcoins which is turn into scam so it's their fault to trust those altcoins. Bitcoin is trusted and it has gained a lot of people in a few years.
1336  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins and Bankers on: July 01, 2017, 08:50:22 AM
Right now we haven't got more of the direct bitcoin acceptance. As stated soon we'll have the increased acceptance in stores as well on our needs. This will surely decrease the usage of banks, because now most of the bitcoin users convert the bitcoin to fiat just because they don't get the chance of using it around their locality.
One thing i have to defer here is that even if bitcoin is accepted world wide then there wont be any decrease in the usage of banks because you need both fiat currency and bank to invest in bitcoin or any alt coin,so they will co exist in the future and it will be like that in the future.I am not sure i am able to reply to what OP is trying to tell here. Wink
If bitcoin is accepted by bank in a future then both will be exist like this. For example if you take your bitcoins in the bank account. Your bitcoin price is also going to be high and also according to price you are getting interest rate. So this is best way if bank accept the bitcoin both will be going very well.

How the bank will be going well for example if bank. If there are a lot of money is coming to bank by people as the price increasing of bitcoin like that bank will giving loans to people and take a reserve rate to Central bank.
1337  Economy / Economics / Re: crypto is the future, make money of it on: July 01, 2017, 08:25:29 AM
Is there anyone confident to buy a million of cheap coins today to hold for years because he believe the future of crypto? Lets say holding a million of Bash coin or maybe Sia coin, will you be buying million of these coin to hold for 15 years?
Although no one know about the future of any coin that what will be its position after years, but if you are going to invest such a big amount, then you need to study about the coin, its previous history, its trading volume its road map and many more and only then you can choose a choice for investing such a big amount, if you want to do trade then you must take risk and no other way is there to do 100% risk free trading.
1338  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the right number of BTC to own in order to become rich in 10 years?? on: July 01, 2017, 07:46:56 AM
There is rich and then there is rich. It all depends on a lot of parameters.

For me rich would be 5-6 millions euros, enough to buy flats bringing me a steady and safe income, and to buy a very nice house or two, nice cars, live without having to look at my finances all the time...

For others it would be 10 times that, enough to live in a great house in the middle of an expensive city, drive supercars and fuck models. I wouldn't say no to that of course.

For others still it could be 10 times less, 500K€ would be rich, in developing countries especially.

In 10 years if BTC is still there I expect it to be worth at least 10000€. 5mil gives us 500BTC.

Basically to be rich in 10 years, I would need to be almost rich today.

Or BTC might rise much more, then all bets are off.
Yes I agree the rich is basically a level of every individual that he/she defines in their mind to what extent they earn money and can say that they are rich now. Everyone in this regard has a personal opinion; also if we say that it doesn’t require you to be rich to buy a bitcoin I think this will be wrong. A person holding a single bitcoin can be rich according to his thinking and a person holding 10 bitcoins may not consider himself as the rich one because of his understanding and satisfaction level.
1339  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will be back in $1,000 ? on: July 01, 2017, 07:05:55 AM
Bitcoin price might fall back to $1000. I know we all are optimistic after the skyrocketing price in 2017. Strangly, i feel like i am the only one who remembers the fact that the community were discussing block size problem and possible hard-fork only a few months ago. I also remember the price fall the day Poloniex announced what position they would take in case of a hard-work.(https://poloniex.com/press-releases/2017.03.17-Hard-Fork/). Just like stock-market, green numbers seems to be making people forget all the bad memories.

I don´t mean to be pessimistic, but seg-wit gave Bitcoin some time to breath rather than solving its problems. Sooner or later we will end-up discussing ridiculous transaction fees and block size problems which will lead to hardfork rumors once again. Bitcoin reached an all-time high of $3,000 on June 12 and is oscilating arround $2,500 since then. While these numbers surprised the media and most Bitcoin investors, we early adopters knew that it is still nowhere near what Bitcoin can actually become. Does that mean Bitcoin can double, triple or even reach $10.000? No, i am not saying it can, i am saying it will. But, not before above problems are solved
Wow! This was a great piece of information that I read I appreciate your thorough and detailed study and writing about the events and the actual situations.

It was discussed once earlier in the forum as well about the problems of the bitcoin if they are not solved in time the bitcoin will always be in such a situation and the users as well will always be worried about it. We know that the  bitcoin have more potential that it can reach a skyrocket high price but without solving the problems it can never reach to a price where it deserves to be.
1340  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price after 1 August - Down 50% on: July 01, 2017, 06:45:55 AM
Bitcoin price after 1 August - Down 50%

how do you think about bitcoin price after 1 August 2017.
if there is hard folk, will price down to 50%??

I would like to know exactly.
Its impossible to know exactly what will be happen in august about the price of bitcoin.. i think we will see more improvement about bitcoin that can push up the price of bitcoin this coming august and 50% down is impossible to happen.. maybe can possible to happen is 15% down than 50% this is just base what happen before..
No one have a clear idea about the price of the bitcoin in the august after the Segwit implementation.
The August is just like a Pandora Box where everyone wishes to get a good result about the price of the bitcoin and at the same time everyone is planning to how to be on a safe end if the price becomes low.

Everyone in the forum is putting their assumptions about how much the price will go down if it’s a drop scene and how much rise is expected but believe me these are just assumptions, there is no one who can confidently say anything about it.
