1321  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Centralization in mining. on: December 12, 2023, 01:06:07 PM
Even till now, Foundry USA and AntPool are both having over 51% of the hash rates in total. But not that only one mining pool is having the over 51% hash rates.

It would have been good if the hash rate can be more distributed than only two pools having over 51% of mining hash rates. Let us see what will happen when Tether and Ocean that former Twitter CEO raised funds for will start operation. Tether said they are investing $500 million into bitcoin mining.
1322  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I start investing in Bitcoin? on: December 12, 2023, 09:51:27 AM
If you can begin to invest in bitcoin now, before 2024, it would be good. If you want to wait until the beginning of 2024 to start investing in bitcoin, it is not still too late.

Next year will be full of the bulls. Bitcoin will get to all-time-high. Bitcoin may reach six digits.

Having a good internet connection helps, but it doesn't prevent things from taking a long time.
The server response time must be taken into account. In addition to processing this request, it is processing thousands of other requests made per second from other visitors.
But from my end, I noticed something with my 4G router and 5G phone. Once you have clicked on view all on a thread, it will show what is seen in the OP, but if you go back and click on view all again, it will not show it again but load the page immediately. Also if you go to other different threads, it will not also show it again if you click on view all, even on different boards.
1324  Other / Meta / Re: How do I fix this ? on: December 11, 2023, 08:58:10 PM
If you click on view all, it is normal for you to see that. It happens to everybody.

Have you tried using a network provider with a stronger signal?
I am using 5G with good connection and high internet speed, but it is still like that.
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Spending more or less money on Casino this Holiday season on: December 11, 2023, 05:04:56 PM
Why should I spend more when I have other things to spend on at the end of the year? I have some people to spend on, my spending will increase. It is either I cut the money I use to gamble or I just use the amount of money that I am using. I am not affected because I receive enough salary, which means that I will neither increase it nor reduce the money I spend on gambling at this time.
1326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one you are good at? on: December 11, 2023, 04:58:06 PM
I think I'm more on the "selecting the right bet". I don't have a well-managed bankroll when I'm gambling because I really just want to enjoy and maybe if I'm lucky, cash out early. Most of the time, I noticed that I got myself into the streak of losing. I just want to get over with. I'm not profitable in gambling.
If you really want ro enjoy gambling, take care of your bankroll and do not use any substantial amount to gamble. Just be using little amount of money. From the little amount of money, divide it into 100 places and use each to gamble and you will have longer time to gamble than using higher amount of money to gamble. You will see the fun than chasing money. People that do not have good gambling money management are not having fun and they are only going for money than entertainment.
1327  Other / Meta / Lists of non merit sources that got to 5000 merits on: December 11, 2023, 01:20:17 PM
To earn merit on Bitcointalk is not easy. Not that it is not easy like it is not easy, but not easy because it is not a day job at all. The process can be enjoyable but it will take a long period of time before this can be achieved.

Are there members on this forum that are not merit sources that have earned over 5000 merits.

I am thinking that someone like cygan has been there but I do not know if he is a merit source. hosseinimr93 is almost about to get there before 3 to 6 months time passes by. Is there a way I can know non merit sources and their rank in number of merits?
1328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one you are good at? on: December 11, 2023, 07:14:05 AM
I think that the most gamblers are looking at their bankroll because once you deposit, you know that you have put a big risk on your capital that you are going to lose your money already. So for me, it should be selecting the right bet, no question about it.

We don't worry about our bankroll, and as long as we bet and win some, we can extend that bankroll as long as we can. Of course, there are also the element of luck here, and that we might not last with that bankroll. But at least you have control of what you bet and what you deem can make you more money then go for it. Instead of looking at your capital and that might put more pressure on you to make the correct bet.
What that is most important is to manage your bank roll, not the bet you go for. There can be a match between a strong and a weak team, I may go for draw if I know that the strong team can lose. It would be surprising that the match might ended draw, although the chance is small, but with big odd. The fact that some people will go for the stronger club to win but yet losing money makes selecting matches and games to be of less relevance at times, but to manage your bank roll by spending just little on gambling is far more better.
1329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos and gamblers are struggling with high tx fees.? on: December 11, 2023, 07:05:10 AM
A little guessing . Maybe Bitcoin gamblers only have Bitcoin to play with, and feel reluctant to exchange to other cryptocurrencies. There are other goals, such as if you experience victory, the results obtained are also directly in the form of Bitcoin. Or maybe as you say, they are rich people and don't care about fees. It's better to bear the fees and remain anonymous and comfortable and not have to worry about having to exchange all kinds of coins.
This can be very true. There are still no KYC gambling sites. But they are centralized gambling sites aside the Web3 gambling sites. Which means they can be force to do KYC at anytime by submitting their identity documents. All gamblers should know that.

It is also good to know that the fee is not much recently. It it is expensive during the week days, it went less expensive during the weekend and it went down to $2. Gamblers can wait until it is weekend to fund their gambling account.
1330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Interview for sports bettors. on: December 11, 2023, 06:46:36 AM
I am yet to start out fully into sports betting based on some of the things I have read out it on this forum. I have enjoyed reading the comments from this thread and even though I am not the OP, I have gotten some great ideas.

People's worst experiences over shadows their best experiences and it is scary for me. I am now thinking that I would have to wait until have the holidays to try out sports betting since I didn't budget for it this month. Hope to share my exp
Gambling is not what you can force on yourself. But if you know you are having fun while gambling, you can just gamble with little amount of money which you can afford to lose. During holiday if you have the time, you can try to gamble with matches in your favorite leagues and see how it is. But you have to be very careful. You may start and be getting addicted, do not put high amount of money on gambling.
1331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the absance of Bitcoin affect the crypto Industry? on: December 10, 2023, 06:57:06 PM
Let people like him continue to say rubbish. Anything that will make bitcoin price to get to $100 would have collaped all other cryptocurrencies that are existing. The extinction of bitcoin literally means the absence of bitcoin. And that means the absence of bitcoin literally means the extinction of cryptocurrencies.
1332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Gamblers should not believe in first game win trap on: December 09, 2023, 05:25:46 PM
I noticed there has been some topics about how first time winning is dangerous. What I am saying is someone that has not gamble before, to gamble and win. That it is dangerous. Yes it may be dangerous because the person may have the exciting mind to gamble more  and lose. But that is not the whole true story.

If not talking about the first time loss gamblers that later become addicted, what you are saying is not completely true. If we can do a survey of gamblers that won or lost in their first game, the people that will chose won can not be 100%. They might not be 70%. It may be 50%. Some people will gamble for the first time and lose and continue to gamble. The main reason is because they think gambling is a way money can be made. Unless they change their the way they think about gambling, that gambling is is not a money making means, first time win or loss is not necessarily the cause of their addiction.

Gamble with the money you can lose.
1333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: First winning can be a trap on: December 09, 2023, 05:10:35 PM
Almost everything you do for the first time causes you to have a wrong opinion about it. Therefore, and your first ideas about the chances of winning at gambling will be false. The more you gamble, the more your perceptions will change. Unfortunately, personal experience is almost impossible to pass on to another person, so we all learn from our mistakes and this applies not only to gambling.
I wish I can see a study of people that are addicted, for us to know about their first bet. To know if it is a won or a lost bet. I know everything can not be a won bet. Some gamblers that are newbies may first lose and continue to gamble. Our mindset also is very important. If anyone is greedy and looking for money by all means through gambling, the first match do not matter. If the person win, he will want to win mirte. If the person lose, he will want to look for ways to win.
1334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe you can win on sports betting by analyzing a betting lines only? on: December 09, 2023, 11:03:18 AM
If you analyze a match, all you will notice is that the old of the team you think that would win the match will be very low to the odd of the club that you think will not lose. The odd alone can be discouraging. It is good to analyze a match to know if you should select it or. But we should also consider the odd. It is good to know that a club that have most chance to win a match can still disappoint you by losing or drawing the match.
1335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to know penalties are about to be played in football matches on: December 09, 2023, 10:59:07 AM
So far, from my experience in sports betting, I have never once chosen or used a penalty shootout odd because it is difficult to determine or predict.
I have gone for it like 5 times before and I won all. I won all because I do not just go for it, since many years that I have been gambling, just 5 times is low and likely the reason. If it is frequent, it can be what can start losses. I will not advice that to be done frequently.

None of the applications support specific alerts for matches that will lead to penalty-shootout. I use many livescore applications such as Livescore, Sofascore, 777score and other applications, but I can't find the feature you mean. Indeed, the only way to find out which matches will go to the penalty round is to check it regularly. But yes, it's a good suggestion for those applications to implement this special feature so that gamblers will no longer have the trouble of having to always monitor and waste their time Smiley.
I have also not seen a site or app that will be so specific like this. I think the fun that can be in sport bet is the in-play. If you are going through the in-play, some gambling sites will show that a match as been paused due to foul, and then continue if it has been resolved. This can be a means to check some fouls and see if it will lead to penalty. But this is difficult to do always than to get notification.
1336  Economy / Lending / Re: Hi I need a $25 dollar loan until December 25th and will repay $50 Paypal on: December 08, 2023, 05:13:49 PM
You created an account today and asked for a loan 10 minutes after you created your account.

The most valid reasons you can be given loan by someone on this forum is if you are in a campaign earning money weekly.or if you have collateral.

You are not qualified.
1337  Other / Meta / Re: (Any Guesses?) Are there many real (unpaid) people still posting here at BCT? on: December 08, 2023, 04:26:07 PM
It is called Bitcointalk (BTT), not BCT.

First, let me correct you, it's either you call it Bitcointalk or BTT, not BCT.

Sorry for going off topic, but there are things I just can't let go Smiley.
No, no, no fucking no. Don't spread nonsense. There's no logic saying BTT.

Let's break down bitcointalk :
Bitcoin Talk
Bit Coin Talk
You can't write Bi Tcoin Talk ?? What does Tcoin mean ?

Do you say MS or MO for Microsoft ?
Do you say VW or VK for Volkswagen ?

And it's already been discussed in the past, the result is indisputable : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5121806.0
Thought was the only one that felt the need to call it as it is...BCT  Cool

And in case anybody is doubting this correction, the trick is in the syllables which justifies the shorthand for BitCointalk as it has three syllables in total, thanks for pointing this out again Cool.

Why is bitcoin not called BC?

There is no official short form for Bitcointalk. It can be called BTT.

There is a thread opened about it and this is what I posted there if I should not repeat myself:

Bitcoin is not called BC.

If there is no official abbreviation, that does not mean calling it BCT is also correct.

It can be called BTT. But depending on what that is official.

Before I know this forum, I saw it abbreviated as BTT on another forum that I was.

People that I know are calling it BTT until yesterday that some people said it can be called BCT.

I will choose BTT as bitcoin is called BTC.

It can be called BTT as many people refer to it as BTT.

1339  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: December 08, 2023, 03:12:48 PM
This is just too assuming that you can't control yourself and that you'd eventually lose your coins through gambling. Not everyone is addicted to it. Just try not to gamble, you don't even need to stake your coins.
You are right. What if someone becuase he does not want to gamble with his money, he staked his coins and bear market begins. The person may significantly lose when the thinks he is going to gain.

But it does make sense if you wanna a guarantee to make money, staking stablecoins will be a good option. But 21 days seem too much. I would stay away from that.
You can not staked stable coins on noncustodial wallet.
1340  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: December 08, 2023, 01:37:42 PM
The another alternative is using time lock, you can lock your coins how long you want.
Time lock does not mean anything, you can have access to your coins at anytime. Time lock is not on blockchain, which means the transaction was not broadcasted at all.

Or the best solution is to learn about self control without need to use any tool that could give drawbacks of hack, urgent need, human mistake etc.
This is just the best for me. But when I staked my coins, I was unable to use it for anything, it is also a good idea.
