1321  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: November 06, 2023, 08:14:45 PM
Since I last posted I have learned something about my self, some people might draw parallels or may have already learnt this about themselves. I was angry that the price went up, and it was the first time I was angry at BTC price even throughout the bear of going/dropping down. I realised too late I hadn't fully prepared for Uppity. I thought I had, I thought I would be happy with double digit value returns. I could handle other asset returns across other investments so why couldn't I project that confidence and experience to BTC. Well what caught me completely off guard was the suddenness. In most if not all other asset classes value add is gradual. You know you build wealth slowly, but like 5K$ increase in BTC price threw me into a loop. I was more angry I hadn't invested more at lower levels than the fact i had just got more returns from one asset in a day than any other asset I have ever owned. The magnitude of that was drowned out by my anger.

Well why I am writing this, what happened, what did I learn. Pretty simple I didn't fully understand, when people said be prepared for uppity, what that meant. I also put too much of my investment money looking at a bargain. I should have put it 100% into dca vs split of DCA and BTFD. I fooled myself into thinking my system was flawless because i didn't prepare for uppity properly. I went back through all my BFTD buys and then compared this to increasing DCA during the same time period. DCA would have out won with this 5k$ uppity.

Shifting my strategy I'm not going put as much emphasis on BFTD vs DCA for a while, there is more severe uppity to come but I have learnt my lesson.

Stay calm, learn shit, and dca on.

If i observed very well I guess you have a potion of BTC now. right? You've bought already but you didn't buy when you desired to hit up your targets. So how about someone like that doesn't have yet or is not yet in a state of making an income to invest in Bitcoin.
Your regrets sounds like you don't have self esteem, or you don't believe in yourself, or should say your compare yourself to others success which is awful. I don't have even the minimum of Bitcoin not just me others too but they don't panic as you.
The uppity of Bitcoin price is sudden but most times you encouraged people to be prepared of anything why then do you have to negate yourself. much is to come since you've learnt your lesson you can still hit up your targets or to be specific you can still make your profit from the bull market.
1322  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Learn from my experience how to protect yourself from crypto scam on: November 06, 2023, 11:08:46 AM
I took a lot of time to read through this topic, in the 4 stories you told here they are quite very usually or most times we have witnessed same actions from scammers. But there is no clear message in any of the story i didn't find any underlying message from the stories. Your express of getting into scam is a clear intention of knowing what the scammer what to say. Here we have been caution regularly that when you get first message from unknown source it is usually a scam activity any one who choose to keep the conversation is either wanting the scam or is too greed to push him or herself to scam.

Once you get compromised in any of you social media handle the most advanced technics to stop your identity from being used for scam is to create another account and report the ongoing action.
When an individual offer you a deal that is worth an amount that is beyond reasonable doubt you should know it's all scam. Like how can I offer you a $200 profit in a minute or an hour, the first question you need to ask yourself is why didn't I do it and get the profit myself. So you see scams are easy to dictate. When it comes to installation google verification is required. Where you are ask to download an app that is not verified you should know is a scam.
1323  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Q&A] Questions and Answers All About the Forum on: November 05, 2023, 08:20:24 PM
Your point is quite convincing, but just as @Zaguru12 said, it's very hard for this thread to be noticed by newbies, and I believe it is a formality to introduce yourself when you get to anywhere new. So those are the exact actions these newbies take with ignorance of the effect.

I have a suggestion on how to eradicate these sucking introduction threads that keep everyone pissed, but before my suggestion, what my instincts are telling me now is that most of us trying to eradicate this bad posting of newbies did once partake in it. lol  Cool is just a joke but maybe true.

I can remember vividly around the first of April when @thymos, in collaboration with @powerglove, launched a captcha task that must be solved before you can login. If this idea of yours is considered and then put in as an instruction to newbies and new account openers, it will surely stop. When it is marked red or even attached to a sanction, the problem will be solved. I think that's one of the ways the problem of newbie introduction posts can be stopped.
1324  Economy / Economics / Re: AI will put an end to work, says Elon Musk on: November 05, 2023, 08:28:49 AM
Future generations can live a more comfortable life.
With this technologies future generations will be careless on work life. The extreme comfort of the future generations can lead to crash in human society. I believe that every thing is in a cycler flow, if the future generations are made so comfortable with this Ai it will surely lead to laziness and therefore crash or crisis. More like what a wise man once said that "his grandfather walk 20 miles to work, his father 5 miles to work, now he owns a Cadillac and his son will be on a Ferrari and then his grandchild on an SUV then the great grand son will have to work again. He further said that hard times create hardworking men and hardworking men create easy times.
This how the circle of life works I'm also anxious to what this AI's will cost this future generations. Negating or supporting what I said above time will speak for itself.
1325  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin total supply, halvings and future supply left for miners on: November 05, 2023, 07:26:13 AM
Let's me be real here, how about those of us that doesn't have yet are we gonna be okay to invest after the 2024 halving. I feel like the way people are talking about the halving in 2024 that if you don't investment now it is over for you. But the charts show it happens every four years which is good if I don't get to invest/buy now I can still buy when I have the capital.
But I am curious to know, when every Bitcoin is mined what will happen to Bitcoin? Does that mean that we will only be revolving around the 20,999,999.9769 . For me it surely sounds odd that the whole world will just have to make use of the limited number of Bitcoin.
Can someone please enlighten me more on how it's gonna work from 2140 and above
1326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what if bitcoin becomes inferior on: November 04, 2023, 06:14:01 PM
How is this thread different from the previous one you made? What if the second Satoshi appears?

Well I noticed this same thing and that is why I decided not to continue with writing on the discussion and instead make a correction. The fact that you also said something about it means most people saw it and ignored and continued with the discussion either to complete their post count or something else. But @OP don't you think it does make sense to repeat what you have said ?

I also observed something but I don't how clear it is to others but for me it's certainly not understandable if you have read the first post then you have to notice it too or maybe I'm the person that is not understanding the statement but let's get it clear. Or may if am wrong i should be corrected by the @OP

Satoshi gave us a gift called Bitcoin without any greed and went somewhere.

And you said this below in the other thread leaving me with confusion. The greed here is my problem, are you saying below that Satoshi created Bitcoin with greed or you are saying he didn't create Bitcoin with greed? This two sentences are very confusing to me. Because it breaks the rule of concord in English, and smell this to be a result of paraphrasing tools or AI.

But what happens if someone creates a blockchain that is faster and better than Bitcoin and puts it out into the world without any greed, as Satoshi did?

1328  Economy / Economics / Re: AI will put an end to work, says Elon Musk on: November 03, 2023, 11:45:01 PM
AI will put an end to work, Space CEO Elon musk has committed a fallacy of petitio principi (begging the question) because there will still be work but the only fact is Ai's will reduce the work rate in a high level. I don't believe Ai can take over every industry it has only specific areas where it can be of high effect. Humans created this robots and in the cost of creating new robots more people will still be employed to produce this same robots.

The biggest defeat of humans on Ai is rationality, this automated machines are not rational in  thinking infact they respond to issues based on what has been programmed in them. I also believe that is a matter of future as my people do say " when one door closes another door opens"  that means no matter what happens in this future of AIs there will always be a solution to what ever problem.

Therefore, this is just an awareness that has been created by the this tech guru just to keep us all prepared so we can create something more difficult for Ai's to handle. I see it as a challenge that has been thrown to our faces that we should tighten our belts and be more creative.
1329  Economy / Economics / Re: Are You Sticking to Your Plan or Has Life Made You Pause or Modify It? on: November 02, 2023, 04:45:05 PM
Generally life is uncertain, that is why we have a plan B that is meant to help us get to the expected end. But the difference between plan B and the initial plan is that is does not follow the rigorous structure of plan A but at least you won't lose.
For me, things have been working as planned but not in my investment life cause I do have one yet but certainly will get one soon.

Every of my plans that has fallen in place as planned did not just work as sort of a miracle, it is as a result of consistency, firstly what I do personally, is to write down this plans a book according to how I want to achieve them. Next is to type or write it on a carbon paper  of different colors. The colors are representing how soon I need to achieve it, then the last color is always "green" meaning I have achieved it already with this conviction in me. I then parse it on my notice board, which is directly facing my bed. Weird right? Yeah that how i keep my self on track when I sleep and wake up I look directly to it and immediately my mind adjust to the plans making me conscious of every action i take during my daily activities to avoid disruption on my plans.

When there are emergencies that tries to pull me off this plans, I gentle go through the plan again and add the emergency situation to the plan not adjust the original plan. I just add the situation to it and boom i will figure out how the situation can still push me to the track.
But if it gets to a level that i can't handle then my plan B comes in but finally the plan is still achieved.

1332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is health and health is Bitcoin. on: October 29, 2023, 11:38:26 PM
It's paramount to be in good health, everyday advises are given on health tips and how to maintain good health not because it is good for you to be healthy before you invest but it is as important as life itself.
Your state of health is the stand to your success.. with wiggling health you can't be successful... Slightly you may or may not be successful because at the snap of a finger you can be off the life and then your investment or your career which you plan on building is a waste because it's not actualized.
According to the great Roman poet Virgil " The greatest wealth is health"

But Bitcoin is health, is a No No for me.. I don't see any reason why anyone will say Bitcoin is health. The volatility of Bitcoin itself is sickness for me.. the up and down movement of Bitcoin can make anyone sick at any point especially short term investors. Infact anyone involved in Bitcoin because when your expecting an up movement for you to profit, then it drops. As it falls immediately your mental and physical health can drop.
1333  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Make a Quality Posts in the Forum on: October 28, 2023, 06:39:42 PM
@OP what's your definition of quality post?
For me, quality post is making sense of anything your are writing on, contributing both the negative and positive effect of what you are talking about and speaking from your intelligence or should I call it mind.
Without the knowledge of the subjects mention above except English and mathematics one can still make sense or make quality post here if only he/she is will to make make advance gradually not rush to ranking up.
1334  Economy / Economics / Re: Cracking the Code of Saving Money... on: October 15, 2023, 07:27:42 AM
Mate this topics have been treated so many times in this forum especially in this board. I can't drop links to related topics but make use of search button and when see em, drop your comment learn from previous comments..

Surely it will be discussed here in this thread cuz there are people willing to contribute but maybe next time before you create you check..
1335  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hal Finney: each coin a value of about $10 million prophecy on: October 11, 2023, 01:07:38 PM
His imaginations are wide and gradually becoming true or is true already. One thing is Hal was there when it all started and he saw the efforts Satoshi and co put in to create one thing (cryptocurrency) called Bitcoin.that means he knew that all the resources that was put in can never go in vain.
But it's my concern about this interior underdeveloped countries that still lacks technology. how will there know about Bitcoin and it's future what if in the next few decades everything depends on Bitcoin will such low tech countries still survive? That is exactly what makes me thing Bitcoin getting to world acceptance is a mission impossible or can not be possible it's just imagination.
Cause the prediction of Bitcoin up to $10 million per coin is really huge how many people will be able to afford then? Infact let me stop worrying about the future it will speak for it self when the time comes.
1336  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: need guidness on: October 11, 2023, 08:57:09 AM

1337  Other / Meta / Re: bitcoin discussion board have lot of unecessary questions on: October 09, 2023, 09:50:17 AM
At least am not alone on this, I have noticed this same thing repeat itself so many times.. and most members take this thread so serious just to complete there signature post and then making some people feel like they have not been trying...

There are some thread that I see getting merited but deep down it's not educating, then I wondered to myself what really warranted the meriting...
Bitcoin discussion is my favorite board or let me say most familiar board but it pissed me off when I see this people with fake life stories of Bitcoin life. It's not worth it and I don't even border myself to comment on any thing.
1338  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Keep learning newbies, The forum has a lot to offer on: October 04, 2023, 07:46:55 AM
Your decision and courage is very much organized mate, I really like your motivation in learning, here in the forum people learn, unlearn and relearn at the same time. Keep the goal certain and clear but in the course of wanting to rank up or receive rewards for contribution (Do not over do) most people will not tell you this. Over curiosity can lead to many things thereby costing you lost instead of rewards which you yearn for.
Keep in mind the does and don't of the forum. Best of luck mate
1339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest only in Bitcoin and never invest in shitcoin on: October 04, 2023, 07:24:37 AM
Bitcoin is really a very strong cryptocurrencies that fact is undeniable and is the root of most coins or the inspiration behind most digital currencies.
Quote
Many turn into shitcoin investor. After knowing about Bitcoin. Unfortunately it didn't work out the way they thought.
I am a tipical example of that. when I heard about Bitcoin how it started from $0.01 to thousands of dollars I thought shitcoin also has that potential. I was working and was investing in valueless coins thinking dey will be like Bitcoin. but never did as Bitcoin. all gradually disappeared. And that made me regret no investing it on Bitcoin then.

Many people fail to understand the characteristics of Bitcoin or do not look at it at all, after hearing about Bitcoin they just rush to make such investment. That is what I consider misconception, you also misunderstood the meaning and orientation of Bitcoin that is what lead you to such mistake and sorry for that experience. That wasn't the intention for you to know about the success of others in Bitcoin.
You know, shitcoins are considered to be shit because it does not have a clear vision on what to really impact or offer, this shitcoins are ideals of individuals who on the cost of looking for what to create they have to build an invention on another person's invention.
Looking at most of the shitcoins they do not have a Blockchain technology of their own, they relay on other chains inorder to work. Which means it is not strong enough to make a good progress most other successful coins you see now have their own blocks, the stress of create a Blockchain is what most shitcoins avoid and making it very much useless to some point.(for instance: if I create a coin with out much investment in it, just created it on another platform. What ever happens will be non of my business after all I didn't put in my money so I have nothing to loss ) that is a typical language of shitcoins developer.

I hope I have made something clear to you now?

Quote
so I would like you guys to shear your ideas on this an the possible solution.

Like your topic said (never invest in shitcoin) avoid shitcoins it can rub shits on you and your career entirely.
Don't engage your self with anything that has to do with shitcoins if your knowledge of cryptocurrencies is not enough to engage.

Before you create your own post make use of the search button it's very important and helpful. If such thing keeps repeating itself it might end up down casting your image in the forum, most people may consider it as plagiarism.
