Submitted SPminer for the verthash algo fix 8, removed hang at startup.

It's using too much cpu on some rigs. If you get alot of rejected shares you can try the new option --skip-stale-work.  See in start_p2p-spb.bat. But some pools pay for stale work, so hashrate can drop by using this option. There is also an intensity option that can improve the speed on NVIDIA cards. i.e -i 19. -i 20. or -i 19,18,20,20,20,20,18,18 comma seperated for each card. You can also use. -i 18.9

I have tested the 4 build for 12 hours now and looking good. 99.98% accepted shares on mining poolhub (~160ms ping). 2500khash in the miner window and peaks at 2850 on the pool.




But crashed after 13 hours.. I need to release a fix

You don't need to flash the bios, you need a tool like the Pill. I am pretty sure someone will come up with a solution

It's not the pc, it's the pool. Change the pool. I get 50 ping on other pools.

I have improved the reject rate on p2p pool. Will test on zergpool now.

Which pool? Perhaps the memory clock is too high? Rejects should be less than 1% if you have low ping. (read the ping in the miner window (xxx ms) .

Zombie mode is working pretty bad on windows. SPMiner is the most profitable right now on the 4GB cards. I am currently working on a fast ethereum miner for nvidia cards.

Use windows. The makefile hasn't been updated for a while. Legacy miners isn't giving you any profit..

My verthash miner is crashing on the new cards. 3xxx series.  Claymore is dead but you can buy straps mods for all the cards you want from wolf0 (CIA defect)

I think I will opensource my verthash miner. Vertcoin has been there since the beginning and I like that they constantly change the algorithm to avoid asics. The price of the coin is low, and the team is professional. Let's mine and buy some vertcoins guys!

Most of the first round of the keccak100 is precalculated on the cpu for every block(round 1 of 22). So each time the pool have a new block to search, the cpu need to precalculate. Not very often.

If you try to set the intesity to 30 in the opensource miner it will crash, and it will not optimize the profit 30%. A miner will not care how the optimization is implemented as long as the profit is increased. You didn't read my code good enough. I have reduced the registry usage, and removed instructions (precalculated some of them with the cpu.). If you try to run with 28 intensity it's still much faster and stable than the opensource.
