My prediction:

Feel free to analyse.
1323  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 14, 2015, 09:55:05 PM
Is this little pump over the last few days based on any good news?

Or have weak hands finally been shaken out and more people are beginning to HODL?
It's a (short term) technical breakout (out of the bitstamp pennant) so it means price is pumping at least for a while. It's not a mistery. Doesn't have to do with news.
It could be already over or could still go a little bit higher. It it goes higher next target is probably $275 or something.

Long term still looks bearish to me.
Are you going to short this pump?
I'm not trading bitcoin right now.

But no I wouldn't go short now, seems risky (because it  could go a little higher for now). I would probably start to take profit on exchange (only sell coin) if you bought at like $220-$230. But that's because I don't trust these short term pumps that much and I am still bearish long term.

I would maybe open some shorts if it goes to $275 right away and it starts to show clear signs of weakness. But not before.
Ah ok thanks for your reply. I'm debating shorting since $250. Watching for now.

Where did this originate? Who are they? Anyone know anything?

We expected this coordinated pump today, time frame for a 19k dump spread over all big exchanges is scheduled to be executed in about 12-32 hours.
I don't have more information at this moment.
I don't believe anything you say. Acting like one of the big guys but you're probably poor. Tongue
1327  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 13, 2015, 12:11:10 PM
why didn't i do that? FML I've been doing this all wrong.......

Do you still hodl BTC or was that your stash? you can triple your stash by buying back now, so why not.... you waited before just wait again and try and accumulate more coin while waiting.

this is a summary of what I did

originally I had 1000 BTC (~5000 EUR) , lost half  Angry on the first bubble (260 -> 40)  but then I hedl

130k is what I left in for re-investing  but I am very bad @ daytrading so now I only have 115k   Angry Angry Angry

when I buy, I buy to HODL  (with a stoploss of course)   Cool
I would buy but not now. Buy when the price is going down again.

Reason you lost on day trading is also probably because you bought in the pumps. Try to buy on the way down. It works out better in the end. Best of luck.

Oh and well done by the way. You did great with your investment for the most part! Smiley

Ugh sideways for the entire day... Need some action.
1329  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it time to go short? on: February 12, 2015, 12:27:47 PM
Careful with stop losses though. You don't want your stop loss to trigger just before the market starts to go in your favorable direction.
Basically if you know what you are doing you don't need stop losses since you only margin trade when you are sure about what's going to happen next.

I never know how high or how low it will go but the direction it is going I know 95% of the time. Also always take profits when you start to feel like a god. This is likely the moment before things get worse. Tongue

Think we might go near $200 in like 48 hours.

Not with this weak volume.
I see some indications and patterns on the chart that tell me it should go somewhat low this time. I could be wrong though.

A lot of buy support around 210 and the volume is low at this time. So the dump might not go far.

You shouldn't short near the bottom. You had the opportunities to short at $700, or $500, or $400, etc. You get the idea.

Every alt is a ponzi scam.
1335  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have a bad feeling (we might 'never' see this cheap coins again) :( on: February 08, 2015, 12:16:34 PM
Fact is we will never know when is the right time to buy. Even with my gut feeling telling it's "yes" or when the chart and order book volume tell me that "now is the time", eventually it could still be wrong. Anyway, just spread your risk and buy small and have it distribute at different price level. this way you will average out.
Best piece of advice in my opinion.
1336  Economy / Speculation / Re: BECOME A MILLIONAIRE OPEN PROJECT: Turn 100$ into a true life. on: February 08, 2015, 12:09:16 PM
He is already down 25%.
He did sell at a loss? How do you know?

I have experience in investing and believe me I have been at -50% and got out at like +180% on multiple occasions.

At this time I would not invest in random alt coins though. But whatever floats your goat.

What is happening now?

Someone just bought all the coins. Shocked

Friend on Wall Street says pump to ~250 today or tomorrow.
Then it will drop to around 230 and stick there for a bit.
My neighbor says the great rally of 2015 will push bitcoin to $700.
1340  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 06, 2015, 04:04:29 PM
How fucking real is $200 by tomorrow?
$220 Is more likely in my opinion.
See told you dumb bears. Hope every bear gets margin called for shorting.

This is just the beginning of the great rally of 2015.
