I think I can only give you one way to secure Bitcoin, that is to make some complicated password that can secure your wallet. Maybe you can even change your password every month so that you will not worry about anything. If you are talking about wallets, then this tips is the most simple yet secure plans. It is hard to believe that someone can hack your Bitcoin without knowing your wallet password. As long as you use your private computer and you always change your password, it will be fine. Actually, there are people who use hardware to save their Bitcoin. I do not use hardware wallet because I think web based wallet is more secure.

Is that a problem for bitcoin too or only ICO's ??

The way I see it without the lightening network BTC will struggle.
If lightening comes into play and works BTC would make a great investment if you buy it in this bear cycle.
In my opinion we might see a low of 6500 approx over the next few months because of Mt Gox.
Looking for long term strategy to jump in...What do you guys think.

Why do you think this happens?

I suppose it is because people with a rich person’s mindset think mostly about buying assets with their money whereas people with a poor person’s mindset only think about spending their money, and the only way they can think of becoming wealthy is by hitting the jackpot.

Advertising an ICO through bounty campaigns is just like advertising a product in the local market. Most people get to know about a product when it is advertised and when this eventually help to increase the sales of such product. It is the same with the bounty campaigns.

It seems like only a small fraction of bitcoins as well as other cryptocurrencies gets earned while the vast majority of the coins are bought. But when people buy coins, they obviously aim exclusively at selling them later at a higher price, which is what speculation basically consists in because it makes no economic sense to buy a cryptocurrency to spend it on goods when people can easily spend fiat instead. However, if the price goes down, people aren't going to spend their coins either. And whenever someone complains about prices going down, the only reply they receive is just to hold to their precious bitcoins, no matter what the price could or would be. I have yet to meet anyone telling these bag holders to spend their stashes on something useful.

Apparently, the HODL mentality kills the currency aspect of Bitcoin.

A lot of people do trading even if they don't know nothing about it and some people succeed on that but most of them failed.
One of the reason why I think they do that, is because of GREED which can result to a big loss for them.

Start with education, make a lot of research, do some practice trading online
and use it later on in real life. Don't rush to earn money because in trading its hard to do so.

The biggest threat to fiat money is inflation. Inflation can be cured by injecting wealth into the economy and by that rising enough belief to keep the system afloat. This can be done for instance by occupying foreign countries and by that opening up new markets to the companies that are essential to the economy. Or this can be done by loose regulations with the derivatives markets, that will create wealth out of thin air and high hopes.

Can it be that pumping of the crypto markets is just another financial shenanigan created to keep the old system afloat?
They are creating new wealth out of nothing with cryptos, just like with derivatives. The made up wealth that is created, is actually backing the value of fiat. This would make sense why regulators seem so blind on goxdollars and tether.
