A 40 slot server called Gamma Bitcoin Fund has been ordered Smiley
40$ a month so that's not bad at all Tongue
It will probably be up in a couple of days Cheesy

1322  Other / Off-topic / Re: DayZ Bitcoin group anyone? on: July 28, 2012, 06:03:53 PM
I was just planning on sponsoring it, and have a add for Gamma Bitcoin Fund or something on it and then people can donate Bitcoins to the server cost Smiley
The reason why you want a permanent server is once you have good weapons and survive you want to setup camp and start getting vehicles and as the vehicles and tents don't follow when you switch server you need a permanent one.
//DeaDTerra

Ugh, sorry for my ignorance.
Then there is an incentive, and I would be happy to use a bitcoin sponsored server, and would donate.
Thanks for doing this.
No problems xD I haven't actually managed to get that far into the game yet but I am on my way Tongue
Okay nice, I will get back to you on how it goes.
I have setup a DayZ Bitcoin group on skype, if anyone wants to join then send me a pm Cheesy

I've made my way from Kamyshovo and now camping near Novy Sobor, waiting for someone to meet with me there or somewhere close.

I was thinking of renting and hosting a DayZ Server, is this something people would be interested in?
//DeaDTerra

Not sure, as I'm hopping from server to server depending on the time zone, ping and number of players.
If you have a plan to monetize it it could be good for you, I think there isn't much incentive yet to be at some server all the time. The United Operations community is shutting down it's DayZ server, as the community hasn't donated any funds toward their servers.

Just call it THE BITCOIN SERVER and we will all join, so that everyone is friendly.
That would be cool, a friendly server.
There are certain rules of what it can be named, but it will probably be something like Gamma Bitcoin Funds Server, or something similar. I am currently in contact with some server renters about setting up a server, hopefully thing will work out and we will have a server up and running in a couple of days Smiley

1325  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Rain on: July 28, 2012, 05:31:29 PM
I am so sick and tired of people calling scams with no evidence, with no proof and absolutely everything based on theories and their "all knowing" about scams. I don't get pissed off a lot but for fuck sake stop attacking Leandro, you pieces of shit. Unless you have some serious evidence against him then shut up and let people make their own decision if they want to invest with him or not. Leandro, is a really nice guy and I have invested with him from the start and he has always paid back fully.

Please stop this witch hunt!
//DeaDTerra

Leandro "is a really nice guy" and pirateat40 has a "WoT rating". Leandro (like the rest of them) is a clear copy-cat.

And I am sick and tired of all these endless scams claiming to generate fantastical profits with no proof and zero evidence. No extraordinary evidence of their extraordinary profits, just a bunch of fanciful what-ifs and could-be's: money-laundering profits, coin-laundering profits, arbitrage profits, trading profits. Or interest paid by borrowers, but there are no borrowers! A duck is a duck and a spade is a spade.

All these "interest" and "insurance" programs are new, inspired by pirate's success, probably people who were doing e-gold and LR HYIPs jumping on the bitcoin bandwagon because that's where the growth is. These are a bunch of counter-productive scams. They aren't useful services which contribute to bitcoin and they don't increase the fundamental value, they hurt it!

Take this thread off of "Economics", start a "bitcoinhyipscam.com" forum, and go promote there!

Bitcoin Rain?! Don't be fooled. I'm happy for your if you take your gains before everyone else, but when you lose all your principal it won't even make me chuckle.
have you ever heard of innocent until proven guilty?
This is something a majority of everyone in the world follows and stands for. To accuse someone of something without any proof when you only argument is you haven't proved the opposite, is wrong. Leandro has explained several times what he does and if you observe his exchange you can see that he's doing arbitrage between MTGox us price and his own exchange.

I agree scams are counter productive but so is name calling and false accusations without proof. We should support transparency and open books, but we should not accuse every single lender or investor that's offering a deposit for being a ponzi. It's insane, if you want to accuse someone get proof then present it. To scream ponzi proves nothing and achieves nothing, so just stop it.

How can this be a ponzi when each round he pays out the full amount including the interest, how does he pay the extra interest? Maybe by his profits, oh wait... not a ponzi Smiley
Please stop screaming scam with no proof, it's getting silly

1326  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Mining Miners - Bitcoin Bonds on: July 28, 2012, 04:22:00 PM
I'm pretty sure BFL won't deliver.  I've tried to contact them multiple times by email and phone and have gotten no answers or return calls back.  I would be more than willing to put a clause in that if/when they deliver at stated price/hash rate.  I will offer 10MH/s for each bond.  As I do plan on buying a Single SC anyway.

I think this offer is very generous and would hopefully gain some attention.
So the new offer is 10mhash per share, starting from now?

1328  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Mining Miners - Bitcoin Bonds on: July 28, 2012, 03:57:14 PM
No offense, but if you would have read my updated original post, I updated my price to match gigas.  Price is now 0.23BTC / 1MH/s bond.

Whether it is run by FPGA, ASIC, GPU, shouldn't matter!  1MH/s is 1MH/s.

gigamining 24 hour average is 1.157BTC / 5MH/s bond => 0.2314BTC / 1MH/s
Okay sorry, I just saw your latest post and skimmed through Smiley
Wanted to be help full, didn't mean to cause any offense. 0.23 BTC is a lot better deal.
I meant that it's not as profitable for the Issuer as the mining bond price has decreased due to the new tech.
I have to add though that if you compare to for example PureMining or YABMC, the deal is still not as good. The reason why GigaMining is so high is due to the speculation value of the free upgrade to 25 mhash per bond Smiley

1329  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Mining Miners - Bitcoin Bonds on: July 28, 2012, 03:18:21 PM
BUMP!!  ANYONE??
Unfortunatly I don't think anyone is interested as you can get 1 mhash bonds for a lot cheaper then 0.29 BTC per mhash :8
Sorry to break it to you, but I think the chance of selling mining bonds is kind of gone now Tongue
At least if you don't have asic or FPGA technology.

1330  Economy / Lending / Re: Bryan Micon's List of BTC Ponzi Schemes that should not be listed as "Lending" on: July 28, 2012, 10:15:41 AM

1331  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: CIUCIU'S Guaranteed Weekly Term Deposits at 1.5% on: July 28, 2012, 09:57:56 AM
added this to Micon's list of Ponzi's that no one should ever send BTC to and withdraw all they can if they already have

obvious Ponzi is obvious

hey OP - here is a question you cannot answer - what business unit do you have that makes so much $ that you can pay such a high interest rate?
I am getting tired of you ponzi marking everyone Smiley
If you want to ponzi mark people, keep it to yourself in your own pathetic thread.
Stop the bloody witch hunt m8, it's not helping anyone.

This is a ponzi scheme and I want a date-stamped post by me exposing it before it's collapse.
Please provide any kind of proof of this theory Smiley
//DeaDTerra

Zero business unit of any kind, huge interest promised, and this page:

https://mybitcointrade.com/en/?content=/intern/faqs

if you deny this is a clear-cut, classic ponzi with the above evidence and this entire thread I can't do nothin' else for ya'

You said a sentence, that's not proof my friend Smiley
That's a statement.
How do you know there's Zero business?
There are huge interest promises but also huge risks, they never state that you will get back the full sum in fact they state that only 25% is guaranteed back. They are doing speculation trading, which is high risk high reward.
I can also add that I have talked to the owner of the IPOs and received a scan image of his passport Smiley
I am sure everyone can make their own decisions with the information available, there's no need for you to go and scream ponzi everywhere you think it applies.

Is it possible to split them up?
I would be interested in one 1x to 16x
//DeaDTerra
I have a pair of those that I just recently found, so they aren't already in the package with the other 2. Since I don't know whether they both work, I can send them both to you for the price of 1. How does 10 bucks sound, with slow shipping?
I managed to get someone with one of those that was a bit closer to me, hence lower shipping. But thanks for the offer, if things don't work out I will get back to you Smiley

1340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is HUGE: WIKISPEED, first car-maker in the world to accept Bitcoin on: July 23, 2012, 08:50:21 PM
OP here.

We are very excited about this.

[..]

I will be glad to answer any questions, just go ahead and ask.

Rocky, your work in support of Bitcoin and the P2P economy is fantastic.

I see that one of the principles of Wikispeed is equitable distribution of wealth.  (with interest paid to those "investors" whether the investment is in the form of "money, time, cookies or supplies").  How does Wikispeed guage each person's contribution once there is wealth to distribute?   (Is there some tally ledger?)

I have an idea that I wonder if there would be interest in.

Raise $18K USD worth of funds for the purchase of a completed Wikispeed C3 using GLBSE.  So this is no different from pre-selling, like what you see on Kickstarter, except that because the amount of money involved, individuals would pay in advance for just a fraction (share) of a Wikispeed C3.

Then once that vehicle is ready for delivery, it is sold by auction.  The first opportunity for bidding is given exclusively to those who bought shares directly pre-IPO (they can sell their shares through  the exchange after the IPO but they retain the ability to enter the auction).  If that auction results in no bids above the $18K USD purchase price (in terms of USDs) then the vehicle is auctioned off to the public.  Shareholders then receive the proceeds of the auction.

This is a bit further down the rabbit hole than the simple pre-selling like what you see on Kickstarter because it is not a direct 1:1 consumer-supplier relationship.  So I doubt this would be possible without going the GLBSE route (at least not for a quantity 1 and a relatively smallish total amount ($18K) involved).

I wouldn't be the right person to set this up on GLBSE, but I'ld be willing to buy a few "shares" in this.

This is a brilliant idea. Thanks! I think I know the right person to help us get it done...

About the distribution of wealth within WIKISPEED, I am as curious about that as you are. But I have a long-view outlook. For me the most important reward is that we change the world.

Also, thanks for the acknowledgement! It means a lot.
I would be happy to help out with this, setting up IPOs has become something of a expertise for me Tongue
I think I have setup about 7-8 IPOs either completly or partially Smiley
