1321  Economy / Gambling / Re: I accidentally deposited to self-excluded stake.com account. on: February 01, 2023, 11:28:38 AM
I accidentally deposited 3.067 ETH to my self-excluded stake.com account, and live support does not let me withdraw.

I really need to withdraw my funds, what can I do?

Go talk to the support, I think there's a matter of time for that self exclusion will be over. I've tried that in other sportsbook not stake, but maybe they have the same terms, in such case, then you have to wait until your self exclusion is over.
1322  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Thinking of separating my holdings into two physical locations. on: February 01, 2023, 11:16:46 AM
That's a good idea, actually, it's the practice in the banks where I work before that the backups are stored in different locations, that is to ensure that in terms of business disruption like flood and fire in one area, we can still get the other back up and would help the business to operate.

If we apply it in crypto, we know that data in a hard wallet is important to access our holdings, so if the hard wallet is destroyed due to fire or food, that means we also lose our funds.

So it's a great idea mate, I'm happy that you are thinking of a way to secure your holdings.
1323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 27, 2023, 12:03:00 PM
Great opportunity for TNT bettors.

They are down 13 points at the half, but you know this team is capable of making a huge comeback.
The ML now is 3.00 and the spread is +5.5, I guess this is worth taking IMO, I should take this and the moneyline.

Betting on over 94.5 for TNT and and over 194.5 total score. (INC OT)

Wow, you hit all your bets mate if you have taken all of the above, congrats.

What a huge run by TNT in the second half and suddenly ROS misfires, well that is all part of the game and it's just unfortunate that i'm betting the opposite hehe, should have trust TNT's talent more but i guess the instinct in me to bet for the underdogs is what makes me bet for ROS hehe.

Great timing @Yamifoud. Mikey Williams took control and Pogoy has done some damage as well. The 1st half of the ROS are impressive, but on the 2nd half, they relied so much on their import and that resulted in their import getting tired, he has also missed important free throws so TNT are just fouling him since he is unstoppable when he drives the ball inside.
1324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 25, 2023, 12:36:41 PM

The second game game has already started and it's close, 60 all. My bet ticket has a chance to win this one hehe.

This game is fun to watch, Phoenix is fighting despite being down. As long as the lead is manageable, I believe it the underdog team has a huge chance of beating TNT. It's the game that I love to bet, especially the live betting because Phoenix here has a very attractive odds.

Phoenix suddenly stops playing good defense in the 4th quarter, they allow TNT to have open shots and that changes the complexion of the game because when TNT is leading comfortably, they usually win the game. Castro's minutes are well-managed, and also great because Oftana was very consistent outside, he made all 4 attempts in the 3 point area.

Gambling is only deemed illegal if it's against your religion, and of course if you follow that teaching. Like in Muslim countries, gambling is illegal because it's a sin. However, in some countries, they don't totally ban gambling but they characterize it as legal and illegal gambling.

In our country, there are illegal cock fighting, and there are legal as well, so bottom line, I think the government are just trying to minimize gambling so that people will not be addicted that could ruin their life, and also in order for them to gain from taxes. Howevr, no country that would heavily rely on gambling to collect taxes if in return it will destroy the lives of the people due to "irresponsible gambling".
1329  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did you sell off during the 21k price breach. on: January 23, 2023, 01:21:27 AM
So are we to expect any sudden drop down to 16k again on the price of bitcoin this year or we will going through with this current 20k to 21k mark.?
The price uptrend is very consistent, as of this writing, it's already trading at over 22k.

This is a good recovery, however, I don't expect that bull run will come anytime soon, it's too early if we based it on the price history of bitcoin and the entire crypto market. So what we should do now is to take advantage of the decent increase, take that profit and then maybe wait until the price will drop again. Or if you want a better profit, then might as well hold a little bit, and wait for the real bull run, I'm pretty sure that a new ATH will come.

1331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: betting against the Public, is this strategy working? on: January 16, 2023, 01:00:09 PM
Yes, it works if you have more information than the public for example if you work as a scout, journalist, or coaching staff. Betting against the public isn't the same as underdog betting tho, since you can have more information and analysis but still bet on the favorite. Probably you'll be more confident about taking handicaps or other strange bets like corners, etc. Probably a fine example of betting against the public is on AJ vs USYK I, IIRC public favored AJ more since he's popular, however, many boxing pros know that he's only a bodybuilder lol.

That's something we have to learn, public bets are not necessary the favorites, it can also be the underdog of the game or fight. This strategy does not require a lot of job to be done, as long as you have a reliable resources, it doesn't matter if you have to pay as long as it's reliable, I think you can win most of the time.

The bookies are definitely making money from commission, but they probably make money easily from the public bets who does not carefully study their bets, when it's popular, they will certainly go for it. I'm wondering if there are bettors here who are experimenting using the stated method, please share your experience, are you in profit or loss?

1338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we really make a living in sports betting? on: January 13, 2023, 11:21:27 AM

Possible if you have a lot of bankroll and bet on a lot of events every day.
IMO, it's not necessary to start with a big bankroll, you can start with what you can afford to lose and if you are really good then eventually that money will increase over time. And as to when you should bet, betting every day is not necessary, all you need to maintain is you have more wins than your losses.
1339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we really make a living in sports betting? on: January 11, 2023, 09:08:05 AM
I hope they will share so we will know if it's really possible. I mean, as the saying goes, casinos always win because they have the advantage, so how come people are making a living in sports betting?
Do not be inspired, rely on other things, not gambling. If you want to gambling responsibly, use the amount of money you can afford to lose and the amount shluld not be above it.
I'm not saying I'll fully focus on gambling to make money, still it's good to have a job or business as it's less risky.
However, if the time comes that I will find the formula to win consistently, I think sports betting should be my focus as there's no limit on how much I'll make it here, and it's also very easy, it does not need a lot of time or will pressure me.

Imagine, having a vacation with your family and you just need to spend some hours to put a bet, afterwards, you'll calsh out. easy, right?

If you want to be gambling for a living, you will use more amount, remember that as you can win you can lose, but you have more chance to lose, it is called house hedge.

I'm okay with starting all, everyone starts with a humble beginning.  Smiley
1340  Economy / Reputation / Re: Campaign managers acting as Escrow on: January 11, 2023, 07:42:19 AM
Actually, it's not a problem if the campaign manager will act as Escrow if that is the agreement between the company and the campaign manager.
Escrow in the sense is third party who is a party that secures funds in transaction between parties A & B. So this third party is tasked with securing funds that have been agreed between parties A & B and usually users who act as third parties can actually trusted. I know some managers can also be an escrow for other transacting parties, but if the manager receives and keeps the campaign budget in his wallet then I don't think he is acting as an escrow. It's a kind of campaign budget entrusted to the manager in advance.
I think you are right, sorry about my explanation but I surely understood what escrow is. My bad, I mixed up the Escrow service(which I believe he has) of Julerz and his campaign management services.

It's just said that this thing happens, whether it's his fault or due to his negligence, the amount lost is still his responsibility.
It is obviously his responsibility to secure all those budgets, and if he makes a mistake that makes all those budgets disappear then he has to cover all those losses. I don't blame julerz12 entirely for what happened, but it was a disgrace in the way it secured the campaign budget. He has to pay for it, of course because it will only affect his reputation as a manager in the short and long term.
Whatever his explanation is, it might be true or just a made up, bottom line he is responsible for the funds.

Still, my stance on his topic is that it's okay for a campaign manager to hold the funds of the campaign. Besides, we can never be sure, Escrow service from reliable members could also end to scam. You know, we are just humans, sometimes we make mistakes whether deliberately or not, still a mistake.
