1321  Other / Meta / Re: [proposal] forum subdomains on: December 16, 2023, 02:09:43 PM
With OP's proposal, it would be easy enough to type the board/section and send it to the clients (e.g. gambling.bitcointalk.org).
Yeah, I also think that if something that can happen on the forum then it would be more convenient for the users. Someone has to visit meta board directly can type meta.Bitcointalk.org in the browser will reach directly to meta board instead of visiting the home page and manually clicking on the Meta board's link.

I believe Franky's proposal is one of the unique proposals that would make it easy for users. I don't know how hard task it would be for Theymos or other developers to implement this feature but I'm sure it will improve the forum. I hope Theymos, PowerGlove, or someone else with proper web coding knowledge and web management knowledge reaches this topic and say something about the possibility of this proposal's implementation on the forum.
1322  Economy / Gambling / Re: Togelbet new casino manual on: December 16, 2023, 11:23:07 AM
I would not recommend anyone to send their money to any wallet specified by the newbie OP. There is a very high chance of this being a scam and it is very obvious. Not only obvious but very lazily set up, as if by a child. No escrow, no third party assurance of fair-play? Cmon OP, you have got to try harder than that lol.
I agree with you, a newbie can't be trusted with your money and it's true that no casino would offer such shady things if they want to work for long term. The OP is just trying to get attention from the gamblers who aren't aware of such scams and thinks that people on this forum will fall into it.

I would suggest everyone to be cautious when sending money to the OP because anything can happen to your money and you may not get your money back. It would be better if OP has some escrow for the service but it seems he's not having an escrow. It's foolish to send someone money   in hope that you'll win more money in return. @OP if you really think that your service is legit then kindly have a reputed member of the forum as escrow.
1323  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: December 16, 2023, 11:16:29 AM
The minimum withdrawal limit has been lowered from $150 to $50, and cashing out your wins is now 3x easier at FortuneJack.
What a great step taken by FortuneJack team. The $50 minimum withdrawal limit is far better than that old $150 limit and it will surely be helpful for the players who want to withdraw their winnings. There are many players who have $50 or more in their accounts but the previous limit didn't allow them to withdraw the money but now they'll be able to withdraw their funds even if the funds are just $50. I would say that it's a pretty good step taken by the team and we all appreciate it.
1324  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: December 16, 2023, 11:12:30 AM
It's pretty common for most casino after some years of launching themselves here. If you remember the likes of Cloudbet, Bustadice,Bitsler etc, they used to have lots of promotions here back in the day but as time passed their activity reduced in the forum.
Now I am not saying every casino follows the same path but sometimes these things happen.
Most casinos invest a lot of money to market their platform in the forum but when they get enough players then they somehow reduce their marketing activities. That's the worst step taken by a casino I guess because without proper marketing they won't be able to get more players on their platforms which result into less traffic overtime.

The promotions not only help the members of the forum but they also help the casinos to rank up and get new players every once in a while. It takes time to increase traffic on a platform and marketing is the essential part of it. Some casinos are still investing a lot of money into advertising even till this day and they'll surely getting results. Roobet should invest more money on its signature campaign instead of investing the money for running the contest because the signature campaign will allow them to get more exposure then the contests.

2. We have increased our house edge so that we can give away more bonuses to our community
Sorry to ask but I don't find a good connection with house edge and offering of more bonuses. The house edge will allow the casino to win more games then the players which's not going to be a good thing for players and with high house edge players will be at disadvantage instead of being at advantage. The bonuses won't help if the house edge gets higher, I think it's better to decrease house edge and offer less bonuses then to increase house edge and offer more bonuses.
1326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger seem compromised again on: December 16, 2023, 06:37:45 AM
If you are using ledger hardware wallet please do not connect to any dapps right now until futher notice, it seems this hardware wallet is freaking too vulnerable to attacks right now.
I have been seeing that news on many Telegram channels that I have subscribed and other social media platforms are also reporting that news. If that's the case then one should be careful with the Ledger wallet. That's why I always recommend everyone to use open-source software base wallet instead of relying on hardware wallets.

The open-source software wallets are much secure as compare to the hardware wallets and I believe the ones who rely on hardware wallets can be huge troubles. Trusting someone's hardware is a risky thing and that's why I believe software based personal wallets works like a charm. I would prefer to go with Electrum as that's the one I use and I will always recommend it.

I hope that users will be safe from this hack and they may not lose any of their funds due to the hardware wallet vulnerabilities. A reminder to those who save their Bitcoin on hardware wallets. Kindly, go with an open source software wallet and an air gapped system to be secure as a Bitcoin holder.
1327  Other / Meta / Re: Any guide line for set TALKimg on ShareX Custom Uploader ? on: December 15, 2023, 09:56:13 PM
I downloaded the portable version of the program from the official site, checked for viruses with VirusTotal and to my surprise VirusTotal showed that the archive contains Trojan.Malware.300983.susgen
I'm sure it's a false positive because if it contained a virus then most of the detectors would detect it. Only MaxSecure detected it as Trojan while the rest of the anti-virus software didn't found any virus in it. It's still better to compile the software yourself because the source is available at Github. The best thing about open-source software is that we can compile them easily ourselves so there won't be any fears from any kind of viruses or malware.
1328  Other / Off-topic / Re: Translation tool doesn't work optimally on: December 15, 2023, 09:44:12 PM
If it's just me, is there a solution? I'm having trouble finding one.
The first solution to this problem is by switching to Microsoft Edge browser. It will allow you to automatically translate the whole page but if you're  a Chrome user and you want a similar solution to work on Chrome then the most efficient solution for this issue is to install an extension which will auto translate the text for you. DeepL for Chrome extension is available and it works like a charm for me. I actually don't use auto-translation a lot but in a few websites I use translation to understand the topics in depth.
1329  Economy / Services / Re: Need webdesigner on: December 15, 2023, 12:10:36 PM
Yes I am. Same telegram, can pm me there to confirm. Was out of town for a bit handling irl issues so didn’t have time to post.
Escrow is very important in deals sometimes a freelancer completes the work but doesn't get rewarded for the time he/she put to complete that work. I won't say anything else but it's better to have an escrow for such deals and there are many reputed members of the forum who offer their escrow services.
1330  Economy / Lending / Re: Interest Free Loan Service [starting Jan 7] on: December 15, 2023, 10:47:46 AM
Man, I'm pretty happy to see members like you who lend others in need without any interest. I'm sure you'll soon have many people who need the loan and they'll pay you back and they will also send you some tip for your generosity. No one is offering such service other than you but I must warn you to be careful from scammers they always try to scam positive people like you. Be careful that's what I would say and best of luck from my side, I hope you'll lend money to those who need it the most.
1331  Economy / Services / Re: Need webdesigner on: December 15, 2023, 09:51:58 AM
To update, i will be handling this for Balkan-Casino
When I looked at your post history then I found that you made this post after March 2023. Are you sure you're handling the Balkan-Casino or you're the real owner of it? Whatsoever, I still recommend everyone to have an escrow to deal with Balkan-Casino because without an escrow it could be a little bit risky.
1332  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is leading crypto exchanges in 2024? on: December 15, 2023, 09:29:19 AM
Your website says it's "the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange". Isn't that a bit of a big claim? Especially since it does not correspond to reality. With such slogans and such boasting, you only push potential clients away from your exchange. By the way, the translation into Russian of your website leaves much to be desired.
The website isn't the largest crypto-currency exchange out there and the claim is just for marketing purpose I guess. Although it's a pretty ranked website and it gets good traffic on monthly basis but it's better to be honest instead of using such words that aren't a part of reality. I've personally never used that exchange and it's the first time I'm hearing about it. Does anyone else used that exchange?
1333  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why Ubuntu? on: December 15, 2023, 08:29:21 AM
What is the advantage of Ubuntu over other Linux distros?
Ubuntu has no advantage over other Linux distro but since most distros are based on Ubuntu that's why everyone recommend Ubuntu. I personally don't like to use Ubuntu as its interface it too fancy for me and that's why I use derivatives like Lubuntu which is a cut down version of Ubuntu for low end systems and it works smoothly on high end systems as well.

The difference between Lubuntu and Ubuntu is the desktop environment, the Ubuntu uses Gnome as its desktop environment while Lubuntu uses LXQt as its desktop environment. You can install same applications on both of those distros but I would still go with Lubuntu as it's interface is easy and it runs pretty fast.

You can also check also distros which are designed to do specific tasks. I prefer you to try Puppy Linux that's one of the fastest distros out there and it loads directedly into the ram. Just 300 MB in size but a good one. You can also try Ubuntu Mate as that one is also a good distro with Mate desktop environment. The Ubuntu Mate works like a charm on my old Raspberry pi 3B and it works similarly on my old laptop.
1334  Other / Meta / Re: How did you know about Bitcoin and Bitcointalk? on: December 15, 2023, 08:14:51 AM
  • How did you know about Bitcoin? From good news or from bad news?
  • How did you know about Bitcointalk?
My straight forward answer is that I learnt about Bitcoin from Bitcointalk forum. I'm not sure if anyone else has learnt about Bitcoin by joining this forum but I'm the one who learnt about Bitcoin and crypto-currencies from this forum. Basically I was searching for ways to sell some digital goods and when I made a Google search I got a thread in this forum. I was not aware about Bitcoin or crypto-currencies but once I started reading some threads in this forum and then started reading some books I learned that what Bitcoin is and why it was created.

I'm very thankful to that guy who posted that digital goods thread on this forum because of that thread my life changed. This forum and Bitcoin has given me a lot in my life and I'm very thankful to Bitcoin and to this forum. I was basically active on digital goods board in start but overtime I started browsing various boards of the forum. Now, I rarely visit the digital good board but it was my pathway to learn about Bitcoin and this forum.
1335  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump make world peaceful place on: December 15, 2023, 07:19:50 AM
I don’t think you can trust any politician. Trump will just say things he thinks will get votes & as it’s election year he’ll be trying extra hard to get votes. Biden will do exactly the same, they’re all full of BS & don’t care about us. Most of them are just trying to line their own pockets at our expense.
I agree with you but sometimes a few politicians are better than others and in case of Trump I would say that the guy didn't do anything that would harm someone. I know he's a businessmen and he would do all those things that would profit him but in his tenor there were less wars and the inflation wasn't that high. Let's see if he gets elected as president once again then what new things he will bring with him. I believe those politicians are good humans who stop the wars and think about economical progress and Donald Trump is one of such politicians.

Brother, Certainly, Bitcoin year-2024 k last quarter mein $80,000 k mark ko hit ker sakta ha mgr yeh level hlaving k baad hee achieve hony ka zayadeh imkan ha. Early 2024 mein agr Bitcoin k ETFs approve ho jatay han, toh yeh bi mumkin k Bitcoin k price mein bri correction aai jis se Bitcoin $31,500 (200 DMA) tak neechy drop ho jai. DYOR
Bahi mai apke tajziye ke sath itefaq rakhta hu aur haan ye o sakta hai k Bitcoin $80k tak ponch jahy 2024 mai in fact 2025 me to mujy confirm laghta hai k Bitcion $120k ko bhi cross kar dega. ETF jab approve o jahengy to start me Bitcoin ek acha upward moment show karega pir uske baad correction hony ke chances hai. O satka hai ke ETF ke approval ke baad Bitcoin ek dam se hi apna pichla ATH cross kar le magar huske chanes bhot kam hai. Bitcoin abhi bhi $50k tak ponch sakta hai December me agar aesa hota hai to $80k to confirm hai pir 2024 mai.
1337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All thanks to my family they contributed and bought bitcoin for me on: December 15, 2023, 05:00:21 AM
I am waiting for my friend who will help me buy it by the weekend.
Why you are waiting for your friend when you can buy it yourself? I would suggest you to learn about Bitcoin buying and storing it safely in a wallet yourself because in the world of crypto-currencies trusting someone else is always going to be a risky thing. If someone gets access to your private keys then they can do whatever they want with your Bitcoin.

Although, you have taken a good step by investing into Bitcoin but it seems like that you don't have much knowledge about Bitcoin storing or how to have your own personal wallet or how to purchase Bitcoin your self. I would suggest you once again to learn about Bitcoin purchasing yourself it's not that hard and then you should also try to learn about Bitcoin wallets.

I suggest you to learn about Electrum wallet and air-gapped systems. You should also try to save your private keys and seed phrases secretly because if someone gets access to those then they can transfer your Bitcoin without your knowledge. When it comes to private keys and seed phrases then it's better to store those at 2 places one should be a proper SSD or flash drive that only you can access and that should be totally disconnected from internet based system and the other should be a paper. I would also suggest you to not keep your Bitcoin at online exchanges.
1338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is wiser? on: December 15, 2023, 04:44:51 AM
I would say that the third one that you named after the Legendary Theymos is doing a good job by investing $100 per on Bitcoin by following a DCA strategy. But, I would like to add that instead of weekly DCA he should follow dip buying strategy because that has been known to give huge profits and the average price get better with each dip.

The 3rd one is obviously wiser because he knows that it's crypto market and the price can go up and down. Although, I firmly believe that Bitcoin is going to go up in coming weeks but still we can't just be right 100% most of the times. It's always better to follow a time-tested strategy that would allow you to accumulate for long term.

I hate every word of this post
Yeah, I also have every word of that post in fact anything that contain those ordinals make me feel sick. Those ordinals are the cause of huge fees that we see everyday. Those useless tokens and NFT's are only present to disrupt the network of Bitcoin. Shame on those people who created ordinals and unfortunately we can't do anything to get rid of those ordinals.
1340  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quickest way to earn merit? on: December 14, 2023, 09:02:34 PM
I'm new here.
Welcome to the forum I hope you'll learn a lot from this forum.
What's all about this merit count?
It's the number of merits that you get and which people can see on your profile. The number of merits you get for your posts = merit count.
How is it earned?
It's sent to you by those users who have sMerits and they send those sMerits to users who make good and informative posts and also to those members who regularly contribute to the forum.
I'm assuming it's linked to the quality/usefulness of your posts/replies?
Yeah, when someone posts high-quality stuff that contain valuable information then other users send merits to those posts which are somehow helpful for the community. If you make good posts then you'll get merits from all those members who appreciate your work. The better posts you make the more merits you earn. I suggest you to avoid thinking about merits as a newbie and focus on making good quality posts. Try to help others with your posts and then you'll see the merits flowing like air to you.

Don't beg for merits as that's not needed at all because if you make good posts then there are so many generous people on this forum who will send you merits.
