1321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should the libra project be halted? on: September 28, 2019, 03:47:04 PM
Libra Project has come to stay, Facebook is a multinational company and when you look at the number of company behind Libra you will realise that it is just a matter of time. For me Central banks are scared because they have failed the system already and project like Libra could take away part of their roles. These politicians have their price and Libra team is going to pay it
1322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin Is the Third-Most Resistant to 51% Attacks, After Bitcoin and Ethereum on: September 28, 2019, 01:53:31 AM
I don't get how this meme coin is more resilient than litecoin.
Maybe litecoin lost power when Bcash was created? Both of them are similar to bitcoin, but "faster".

anyway, this is really good for dogecoin.

Dogecoin is also a lot used in casinos, dice games, and in exchanges and other swap services. It became one of the most solid projects out there... this meme coin!

This is how we can see how many shit coins we have out there...

I think this is one thing most people got wrong about Dogecoin, Dogecoin do not come out with any fancy marketing like smart contract, lighting, Silver to Bitcoin. It came out as Meme coin and is doing just that, this is what we need in the space, try to address a solution and be good at it, where are all the primecoin, Peercoin, Namecoin, Feathercoin of these world but Doge is still in top 100 project in the space.
1323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the listing of CARDANO to binance help the price? on: September 28, 2019, 01:49:24 AM
Binance is going to list ADA sounds a good  news fo holders
but will this help cardano rally the price from its current state?
im a bit hesitant with this because mostly lots of holders will going to dump their holdings thus give a chance to another dip to the coin
whats your assesment with this one?
I don't think you know that Cardano is already trading on Binance and these has been for months now, so just discussing listing of ADA tokens on Binance do not make sense to me. The recent announcement by the Binance was HashGraph and the market has already priced that into it, because the price went up 18% on the announcement and if you looked at recent listings on Binance the price has been flat or dump after listing
1324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bep2 thorchain is listing on BitMax on: September 23, 2019, 06:37:02 PM
Bep2 thorchain was on Binance DEX, and now it is being listed on BitMax, this is its first centralized exchange listing. BitMax has listed a lot of Bep2 token on its platform, seems BitMax and Binance have a strong relationship.

It is better that the project seek for Centralized exchange partnership, the space is not ripe for Decentralize exchange and we can see this, most projects move to Binance chain hoping to get listed on their centralized exchange. This project has lost most of its value on BNB DEX and just pity those that invest into this
1325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When thinking forward always think backward on: September 23, 2019, 06:32:03 PM
The problem with human psychology is that we don't like to accept defeat, You win some and lose some, that is life, what really matter is to have more wins than loses. There are some tokens that I was considering selling after losing 50% of its value but hope it would come back and now have lost 99%. The main thing in cryptospace is to actively manage your account, any project you have doubt in sell and move to better project, BTC or Tether
1326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: characteristics of fraudulent projects on: September 23, 2019, 06:27:47 PM
when investors and the crypto community already believed, but the team said differently!
- The team did not respond well to the crypto community.
- The team is very shady and does not provide updates about their projects on the telegram & social media channels.
- The team plans to take a vacation
- The team blocked accounts one by one from each community who questioned about the development of the project.
- and finally you are banned in this group  Grin

it's so annoying, how you feel?  Roll Eyes

The list above is after the project have collected their ICO/IEO fund from investors. The main thing is before they colleced the fund from investors. Most will respond to obvious naughty questions before their ICO.

What to look out for are:

1. Do they team have MVP
2. How is their commit activities on Github.
3. Verify their Partnership claims
4. When was their website created and their social media platforms

All these will help to know a scam project
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MesChain | Manufacturing Execution System - MES on: September 22, 2019, 03:29:53 PM
1-My biggest concern about the project where to use blockhain? While there is already a functioning system So I'm wondering why you've moved it to the blockhain…
2-when I query for domain name in https://isimtescil.net/whois , domain name 09.09.2019 so I see that it was taken two weeks ago. and I wonder why you started ico in such a short time because such a project needs serious infrastructure.
3-When I look at your smart contract everything is in place, but I see that a few functions are missing. will they be update?
4-Your web site has access to the admin panel at https://meschain.io/wp-admin . you have ssl certificate for security but we know that ssl is insufficient in case of a possible shell raid. I can't see any extra precautions about it, how will you fix it?
5- Will you install an extra security system for your wp-config file?
The major issue I have now is that everybody wants to raise money from ICO, they question I keep asking is why are they not using the crowdfunding platforms in the space. I believe people are wiser now don't need to give money to a project that will just offer you a useless tokens that have now usecases
1328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If regulation never comes on: September 22, 2019, 03:25:59 PM
If regulation never come anytime sooner can we protect ourselves? how can we protect ourselves from crypto monsters hiding in disguise, especially bounty projects coming into crypto space with full force, any ideas ? I know many are going to say we should do better research before promoting projects, is there any strict blows we can give these monsters by ourselves ?

Regulation will surely come and if not the space itself will set it own standard.

I do think investors and bounty hunters need to be wise now, not every project worth participating in, another thing tha I observe is that there most people are impatient with the team, they have other thing to do and even have there own personally life to look after, give them time to get things right
1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FATF travel rule and privacy coins on: September 22, 2019, 03:18:38 PM
Dash can comply to the FATF travel rule to the same extend as Bitcoin. Both Bitcoin and Dash have open blockchains, both have public senders and receivers of which data can be gathered and both Bitcoin and Dash have a very low level of optional CoinJoin mixing activity on their network (less then 1%).

Unlike Monero and Zcash and these other privacy-centric coins, Dash is far more focussed on providing instant, secure and low cost transactions and just offers optional privacy as one of its many services.

Dash is also a fork from Bitcoin and should be viewed as having the same legal status as Bitcoin. By delisting Dash you may as well delist Bitcoin. Dash is not a privacy-centric (only focussed on privacy) coin, but is by some exchanges unfairly treated as one.

I think most exchanges regnonice that Dash has the same legal status as Bitcoin and will therefore not delist it.
For those privacy-centric coins that shield both their sender and receiver (so the travel rule can not be complied with at any level), the situation could be different. They could face increased scrutiny from government agencies, who could put pressure on exchanges to delist these.

Here is summary of services and accomplishments that separate Dash from Monero, Zcash and other coins that are fully dedicated to providing only privacy :

* Dash has Instantsend set as default on most of its transactions. This means Dash can be received within a few seconds, protected against double spending and free of charge. This is Dash greatest achievement and a number of exchanges have thrown their support behind it.

* Dash developed ChainLocks which significantly improves it's security against 51% attacks. Dash network is therefore more secure then Bitcoin. Something that Coinbase Pro acknowledge by lowering their deposit conformations for Dash to just 2 confirmations. Any transaction that is ChainLocked is immediately secure against doublespending, can not be reversed and is assured of a place in a block. This means Coinbase Pro could have set number of deposit confirmations to just 1 and still have the same level of transaction security.

* Dash developed a multi-tier network by splitting the blockreward, thereby creating a miner tier and a full nodes (masternodes) tier and is working hard at providing a third tier of end-users & merchants that can directly connect to the  Dash network through a decentralized API (new to the world).

* Dash has a decentralized governance and budget system in place, where masternodes can vote over budget proposals and the network itself can be polled about which direction to go.

* Dash is working towards changing itself into a decentralized platform, on which to run additional decentralized services. Dash plans to offer data-type driven contracts, of which metadata can be stored on the masternodes itself, through Dash Drive.

* Dash offers optional privacy on its transactions by having implemented CoinJoin into their core code (the same CoinJoin that's supported on Bitcoin's network through several Bitcoin wallets). The usage of this optional privacy is very low (less then 1%)

It is funny that you are trying to make a selling point for Dash not to be delisted when the main selling point of Dash by Dash team was the Privacy tech. Dash was always being compared to Monero and there is a serious bitterness between the two project in that which has the best privacy technology, so comparing it to Bitcoin now is fun
1330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just my own stupid or smart thought about ETH blockchain on: September 22, 2019, 03:15:41 PM
Ask yourself this question, which platform is the most used in crypto space today? its ETH and its smart contract that is been used by both good and bad developers the most, Tron blockchain is not like this because last year i witnessed when tron teams start getting rid of scam projects off their blockchain, it will be better if ETH do something like this in its next upgrade, scammers have too much freedom and its hurting crypto, my idea might sound stupid to some but don't mind i am just thinking of ways to fight scam projects even if regulation didn't come sooner

I think you are a Tron fan boy, ask Tron developers if they wish to have the number of projects either legit or not on their platform their answer will be a resounding Yes. If you called a project decentralised there is no need to control what people do on it. It i just like asking the person that build internet to start deleting all the so called scam site in the space, you are free to use or visit any site at your own personal risk
1331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ???? AFRAID OF NEW PROJECTS !!! ? on: September 22, 2019, 03:12:03 PM
Why do you think that everyone is afraid that some of the new projects
some people without doing any research,    They despise a project, which makes other people agree.
is this lack of literacy in the study makes them fail ?
Does this lack of information bring down a project, that MAY have a bright future ?

A good idea with a good to will make it with time, but what is happening in the space now is that some of the good projects are after fame, they never built their platform to sustain constant userbase before they start talking of displacing Bitcoin, and the Ethereum of this world. If you continue to build your platform, value will come but these prople want their projet to be trading in 100's of millions on their first day on exchange
1332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency to be used in Money laundering and Terrorism? on: September 20, 2019, 03:52:22 PM
I don't know why people decided to help in spreading FUD like this, what I want to ask is how many people here have sued Crypto for Laundering money or terrorism before or now. Fiat is still the king when it comes to doing bad things like this, so stop helping this people to build FUDs like this
1333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Privacy coins getting delisted on: September 20, 2019, 03:46:05 PM
The lost of some exchange is the gain of others, for me Privacy coins are one of the few selected coins in the space with real demand for them. The demand for them is huge and as long as the Dark market exit there will continue to be demand, I think they forget to note that the many selling point for BTC was the animosity it offers
1334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of cryptocurrencies depend on the understanding of the community on: September 20, 2019, 03:36:06 PM
I think people are making some mistake thinking that the way Crypto was in early days is the way it is going to continue, big money are entering the space and they will dictate how the space would be shape. It is very likely we will see Blue chip coins and penny coins with time
1335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bonuses are only to deceive people on: September 20, 2019, 02:55:35 PM
I just checked an ANN thread. There was a post regarding the last round of the IEO. They were offering 25% discount to IEO participants. I wanted to post on that thread. But instead of posting on that thread, I decided to create a new topic as there are many same IEOs.
Offering bonus on the last round of an ICO/IEO is really funny.
The bonus is valuable only if there are some other participants that sell the tokens at higher prices. I cannot understand bonus on the last round of an IEO. Even if they give 1000% bonus to investors, it doesn't differ. The bonus on the last round must be zero. These kind of IEOs try to deceive participants. It might be true even if we call them scammers.
If a token price is 100 satoshis and they give all participants 25% discount. Investors shouldn't be happy that they have bought the tokens at 75 satoshis. Because the price is 75 satoshis not 100 satoshis.
We can say the price is 100 satoshis if there will be a next round and some people buy the tokens at 100 satoshis.

You can say whatever you want to say about bonuses and don't get me wrong I am not in support of the abuse of bonuses but the main goal of these developers doing ICO/IEO is to raise money and they w ill do whatever they can do in their capacity to achieve, and the most common thing is to offer bonuses to attract investors, even if the price start dumping immediately after IEO
1336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: !!! Let 's become a multimillionaire IN 1 YEAR !!! on: September 20, 2019, 02:51:07 PM
I don't think most people realise why Bitcoin is the king in the space, and I don't see any coin doing what Bitcoin did again nless Bitcoin is dethrone and another project dominate the space the way Bitcoin is doing now. Any coin that wants to do Bitcoin will need to offer another thing Bitcoin lacks and the distribution must be seen to be decentralized, not that there would be another developers token allocated for founder
1337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs vs IEOs? on: September 16, 2019, 07:48:51 PM
there are so many ico i have been part of but nowadays there are a trend is coming in the way of IEO. But i can not figure out why? because IEO is already have tokens on exchange that is why or is there any other reason?

What thoughts you have about it ?

What you need to first ask yourself is how many projects did I invested in their ICO in the past 6 months. People do not want to invest in ICO again because when you give them money, it could take months some even years before they get listed on exchange but what IEO offers is the instant trading after raising fund
1338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CHANGE, the only thing that's Constant on: September 16, 2019, 07:45:58 PM
True, Chaange is the only constant thing and we need to welcome the change happening in the space currently, we need to see it in a positive way, how could a project collected $20 million or more from investors and do not know how to generate revenue with it, we first need to weed these fake and zombie projects away from the space for the space to have room to grow
1339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Atomic Swaps use cases on: September 16, 2019, 07:32:58 PM
What do you think will be the use cases of Atomic Swaps? Why would you prefer to use them?

The main application of Atomic Swaps is in Decentralize exchange, but most of these decentralized exchanges are not spending money on the improvement of the technology, most of these is done by developers and lack real backing on how to scale it, just look at Binance for example they decided to opt for their own chain which to me is centralized because of the way the nodes are set up.
1340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra has been hacked! on: September 15, 2019, 04:30:09 PM
I think it is better for the OP to put the right Title, Libra is not on for public usage already so it was not hacked, good a bug was detected and this is the reason why there was a bug bounty, do you think the Libra team is the developers we have in this space that release buggy codes to the wild and hackers will later have fill day.
