1321  Economy / Economics / Re: Are cryptocurrencies better than regular currency on: August 27, 2017, 03:28:35 AM
Bitcoins are better than normal currency a hundred times. Bitcoin is that form of money that you hold and you’re assured that it can increase its value over some hours while paper money doesn’t posses such superb capabilities.
Fiat in fact does the opposite, fiat steals value from you every second you hold it, I think people despite not understanding the economy get this somehow and this is why the savings of many people are zero, after all what is the point of saving if you lose money every single second?
1322  Economy / Speculation / Re: So where exactly are we in the bubble? on: August 27, 2017, 03:25:26 AM

Do you see many institutional investors in Bitcoin at this time? Are pension funds including Bitcoin in their portfolios? I have exposure to this information at my job and can assure you they are not.

Based on this I would say that we are still in the stealth phase, possibly moving into the awareness phase.

That's great info to know bro. I feel the same in people around me. Most do not want to know much about bitcoin, but they have heard about it already. If this graph is going to be true... the big raise is much yet to come.

Unless people are living under a rock they have heard about bitcoin at lest once, bitcoin is on many place, it is on the news like the last time that ransomware blocked many computers and it is even on the financial news where analysts give their opinion about bitcoin, the only thing we are missing is adoption.
1323  Economy / Economics / Re: Is trading just educated guessing? on: August 26, 2017, 03:47:49 AM
Can you really be sure you will profit unless you have insider info?
We dont really need an insider info to make money on trading and as being said trading isnt just like complete an educated guess because if we do say the word "guess" we are randomly selecting a particular thing even though its educated it cant be considered since we do have basis on why we do choose a particular decision. Its somehow need some luck but most of the part it would really require knowledge.
Having insider info is not necessary to become a successful trader but I think that depending in your jurisdiction using insider info may be considered illegal, at least it is illegal in the stock markets since that gives to you an unfair advantage over the other traders.
1324  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where to invest my Bitcoins? on: August 26, 2017, 03:45:13 AM
Hi,

Hope I posted in the right board and totally new to this investing bitcoins.

I got under 0.1 bitcoin lending on poloniex but rates are too low for a good return.

Where is the best place to Invest bitcoins with the best returns and lowest risk?

Thanks,
This year many people who get more profit by investing in stratis, stratis is one of the best coins that can be done this year, this type of investment really makes a good pump.
It is too late to invest in stratis it has pumped already, there may be some juice left but nothing that is going to bring you great profits I will probably wait for a another coin that is promising instead of investing in coin that is not going to go up for quite some time.
1325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think LTC go up soon? on: August 26, 2017, 03:42:48 AM
What do you think about LTC? Its price go up soon?
Is this time to buy LTC?

When they say 'it's dead', 'no news', 'boring', that's your time to buy, when they same 'moon', that's your time to sell.

It's a though game to play, litecoin is a solid bet, less riskier than other shitcoins.
That’s a good way to find, buy or sell. Thanks for sharing such nice words. Absolutely, I also think LTC has less risk than other altcoins, it is relatively stable even it had few sudden changes.
Just be careful the previous poster did not specify it but that most likely this only applies to coins that are solid like Litecoin, if they say these kind of things, like a coin is dead, about a projects that are not very well known then I think it is safe to say that the project is really dead.
1326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When ETC will rise on: August 26, 2017, 03:38:40 AM
yes, it is better if the coin stays on a support line. just HODL for a moment because not every day coins are  pumping. it takes time for some coin. some coin are pumping because of fake news but I belive in the ETC as this coin is not a PND coin.
Dude, think of it as if you were a investor. If I'm investing in a particular coin and it hasn't grown in  last months,I would definitely regret because I could have invested in a shitcoin and made much more money.

ETC has gone up almost ten times in terms of fiat in the last 8 months. What else do you want? Some people can be really impatient, a coin cannot go up every day, as long as the long term trajectory is positive then to me that is fine, if to you the growth is too slow maybe you should invest in other coins.
You're wrong.A coin can go up every month if it's Bitcoin.
That has only been true in this year, bitcoin was almost flat the whole year of 2015 and for many months in the year of 2016 the same happened again, it remained flat, this year has been extraordinary but do not forget the rest of the history of bitcoin.
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin core team join bitcoin cash team if the value keeps rising? on: August 26, 2017, 03:32:50 AM
Let me say it for the 100000000 time . If BTC die there will be no value for any cryptocurrency . Goodluck convince someone that you want to cash out with BCC hahahah Cheesy . Goodluck try to convince any entity in the world to take cryptocurrency for real anymore . We have cryptocurrency because we have BTC and the moment BTC die all will fall with it. I am speaking about value .

Anyway people behind BCC can try as hard as they can there is already big players behind BTC that will never let it die and it is really too late to try that now .
Agreed, the miners are completely underestimating the value of trust, if the trust in bitcoin is lost because it fails then no one is going to trust cryptocurrencies ever again, and all of them will die and the vision of satoshi of creating a currency not backed by any government will die.
1328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin is falling. Who knows why? on: August 26, 2017, 03:20:44 AM
some are doing fine: like PTOY, Vertcoin, Waves, Lisk, UBQ
But well, it's not really a loss until you sell them, so hold and they will rise again Wink
This cannot be repeated enough, if your investments are giving you losses and the coins that you are holding have some future and are not shit coins then the best thing you can do is to hold, do not sell for a loss, at some point the price is going to recover you only need to wait.
1329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: August 25, 2017, 05:22:59 AM
the biggest disadvantage of bitcoin is that we still have to pay a fee with small transaction and that fee is extremely big when compare to that small transaction. As you can see, if we want to transfer $1 worth of bitcoin to someone, we need to pay an extra $0.5 in order for our transaction to be proceeded
That is not really a disadvantage but the way the network works, have you tried to send a dollar using a bank wire? I do not even know if it is possible to send such a low sum of money, but in bitcoin you can do it if you want even if you consider the fee to be high.
1330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold? on: August 25, 2017, 05:20:27 AM
So Bitcoin is better than Gold? Roll Eyes
For now, I don’t know because I never have the chance to hold gold but I think it is better to have bitcoin than gold because the value of gold don’t change but the value of bitcoin increases even your just keeping it. Gold can be rob also but bitcoin is not.
If you have the possibility get some gold as well, when you hold in your hand a gold coin you understand why it is valuable, it is not really a surprise why the coins of all the world try to imitate the look and feel of a gold coin but when you have in your hands the real deal you understand that all the other coins are a cheap imitation.
1331  Economy / Speculation / Re: I will not Die Untill Bitcoin will reach at Least 50K on: August 25, 2017, 05:17:52 AM
I had considered those value just a dream some months ago , nowadays im dreaming with it already because now i do know its very possible to reach and cross those value on the next years. The legalization can make bitcoin price to fly without any warning, soo become mainstream being used for anything would make it rare and very pratice to use online and on a daily basic needs.
This rate will continue and that dream will happen soon, we are going to touch down to $5,000 soon and that is another success for bitcoin holders.
Good news will continue and the massive adoption will be achieve as bitcoin continues to be more popular, we are going to beat Paypal soon in terms of marketcap.
This is going to be another reason to celebrate, the day bitcoin overcomes paypal, if we keep growing I think we are going to get to the point when we are going to remember the old days when bitcoin was smaller than paypal and for the new people entering in bitcoin that would seem an almost impossible thing to understand thanks to the huge market cap that bitcoin is going to have in the future.
1332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you have $10 to invest? on: August 25, 2017, 05:12:52 AM
I think I would buy Bitquence just maybe, its going insane in markets. I see it going to the moon but I am not perfectly sure, honestly. And Nimiq. They say in forums they will release new coins and platform.
I am not much sure about this coin. Among altcoins, only few coins are doing great currently. I will suggest him investing into waves, neo or eth for an immediate profit. Waves are ready to take a ride to moon, so better invest into it. But if you want the best option, it is as usual bitcoin.

Why do you think WAVES are ready to take off now? Any news coming?
Because of upcoming ICOs on the platform I guess. Look at what ICOs have done for ETH. It's expected that some of that magic could rub off on WAVES too
Basically this but it is not about magic if ICOs start coming in waves then there is going to be a lot more demand for the coin and when there is a bigger demand we know what happens next, there is a spike in the price and after that speculation will make the price go even higher.
1333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin and ICOs on: August 24, 2017, 02:24:06 AM
Being relatively new to cryptocurrency in general, I am looking to begin investment in something a little smaller. I have researched a couple altcoin possibilities already, but, wanted to ask those on here, who have the experience, on their opinions with IOTA, ripple or any smaller altcoins/ICOs to get into?
both ripple and iota has hundreds times of profits, i dont think they have many potential yet, for me, i keep some OMG and btc, then all in ICO
True, those coins already pumped, they may have something left in them but the earnings are going to be low and the risk is going to be high it is better to spend our time trying to find the next big thing instead of trying to make coins that already pumped to pump even harder.
1334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's make ‘Buy Bitcoin’ Sign Appears Everywhere! on: August 24, 2017, 02:19:38 AM
Before we can make the "Buy Bitcoin " to appear everywhere, we need to educate people on what bitcoin is and how it can positively impact their lives,  I know for a fact that people are normally scared of things that they don't understand.  It's by education that we can put their mind at ease.
I think the buy bitcoin signs are exactly what we need, that is a perfect example of what this generation understands, that has meme quality, you can photoshop the bitcoin sign guy and put him in the most improbable places, you can put him in space, behind the speech of a president, anywhere and people are going to recognize him.
1335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Choose altcoin for trading on: August 24, 2017, 02:15:14 AM
For a newbie, i think it is not recommendable to use altcoin for trading. Always remember new altcoins are very risky. More investment and time is needed.
This is right if you want to trade but you are still inexperienced it is better that you stay on the most liquid pairs, do not get into anything exotic or you run the risk of losing most of your money very fast especially at this time since the markets have moved like crazy in last weeks.
1336  Economy / Economics / Re: Are cryptocurrencies better than regular currency on: August 23, 2017, 02:44:38 AM
Each has got different usage. When we think about digital currencies, it has got only the virtual presence as well the usage opportunity is low compared to the regular currency. Here the profiting chances were high. With regular currency due to the increased market circulation the usage is much easier.
This is true at the moment digital currencies are obviously better  in the internet and cash is better for face to face transactions but at the same time bitcoin and other alts will begin to get a market share of the face to face trades as well when the confirmation times gets faster.
1337  Economy / Speculation / Re: So where exactly are we in the bubble? on: August 21, 2017, 02:58:31 AM
I know y'all have seen this diagram before, and with BTC just crossing $3,800 as I type, where do you think we are in the bubble?

Aw man so cuz I'm a noob it won't post the image... Oh well. Its basically that "main stages of a bubble" chart. Which crypto most definitely is in. But are we just beginning the true ascent, or have we reached the peak? Thoughts?
I do not think we are in a full bubble, part of the growth is justified, however I will say that according to the graph we are in the mania phase, but I think we still have a lot more room to grow, we are in the media attention or in the attention part of the curve, so there are a lot of profits still to be had.
1338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin just an asset ? on: August 20, 2017, 06:53:45 AM
I have read in the news that that like bitcoin as virtual currencies are assets and does not have the characteristics or what it takes to be a currency that could meet our modern economic needs. It was said that it does not have the fundamental attributes. What are your thoughts about it?
Those people do not know what they are talking about, I’m not impressed by credentials, if a person with all the credentials in the world says something stupid then I’m not going to accept his point of view just because he has a piece of paper saying he has knowledge in a particular filed.
1339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin core team join bitcoin cash team if the value keeps rising? on: August 20, 2017, 06:51:02 AM
Will bitcoin core team join bitcoin cash team if the value keeps rising?
If I remember correctly I think one of the developers said that if segwit in bitcoin was not activated he will move to litecoin and I think most devs probably have the same idea, if bitcoin cash won the war then the core team is not going to join bitcoin cash team they are just going to move on to litecoin or to do other things with their time.
1340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think LTC go up soon? on: August 20, 2017, 06:47:48 AM
What do you think about LTC? Its price go up soon?
Is this time to buy LTC?
LTC price has stable in $40 stage.
it can be Up or down.
Is this time to buy LTC ? If you can take a risk, so the answer is Yes. Every coin have a chance to Up incluiding LTC Grin
Buy now and hold for longterm, and you Will make a good profits Wink
The problem with Litecoin and almost any other alt at the moment is that when bitcoin captures the market then almost everyone begins to trade bitcoin in order to get profits and with the hard fork that created bitcoin cash things got even worst since you have now a new coin sucking capital from other markets.
