I don`t think that you understand what is a hard fork. There`s no such thing as "bitcoin core team".Bitcoin cash has a team of supporters for sure.  Bitcoin core users are free to buy Bitcoin cash if they want to(if it`s really possible to buy BCH,because most of the BCH miners are holding their coins). |

why would they? bitcoin is still strong and there is nothing that can change that fact. so it will remain strong and continue rising in the future too even though at times it may not seem possible because you have fallen for the excessive FUD, but it will happen because bitcoin is the one with the real adoption so far. this is a price speculation board for bitcoin and your question has little to do with price and nothing to do with bitcoin by the way.  |

If I remember correctly I think one of the developers said that if segwit in bitcoin was not activated he will move to litecoin and I think most devs probably have the same idea, if bitcoin cash won the war then the core team is not going to join bitcoin cash team they are just going to move on to litecoin or to do other things with their time. |

This is why he make some assumptions and used the word "If" this thing would possibly happen to bitcoin. Just been said above ^ For sure Core devs wont transfer on bitcoin cash itself and they would go on other coins like Litecoin and other choices and I'm sure it wont really be Bitcoin cash. It do really sucks when we think off that bitcoin would be knocked off by Bitcoin cash.  |

Of course not. They are against hard forks in general, and especially ones without wide community support. They would continue supporting legacy Bitcoin no matter what happens with Bitcoin Cash. I remember Greg Maxwell said recently that if a significant split happened and the corporate hard forked version of "Bitcoin" overtook the legacy chain, that he would rather launch an altcoin than work on the hard forked version. |

I believe that will not happen. They've been on their stance in the past years and I think they will not change sides just because BCH is gaining some price movements and some love from the traders. Don't get confused with this and just check the price of BTC now. It is well above $4k mark and is strongly supported there. Bitcoin core team will not change sides. |

Why should they join someone who forked?? This just alone makes no sense.Whatever the value of Bcash will be, this is not gonna happen. Bcash has no skilled developers, I'm speaking of top class devs with a shitload of experience and exactly know how the Bitcoin protocol works!! So without devs, how you gonna progress in terms technological development? Without any vision for the far future? Bcash is rising in value because it gets pumped by very few people. That's it! It will either survive as a useless shitcoin or end as highly centralized version paypal but with much less transaction per second, blacklisting, account freezing on certain exchanges and so on. We've enough of that in the traditional financial system already. |

We've enough of that in the traditional financial system already.
I share the sentiment that BCH is not experiencing organic adoption, just market manipulation. It's natural, since like BTC, most supply won't be sent to exchanges. For that reason, it's really easy to soak up the existing supply, then pump. I'm guessing a single whale with 25k BTC could have propped the price up before this pump. |

why do you care what a bunch of programmers that you don't even know, do with their time?
they can do whatever they like, they can stop developing bitcoin tomorrow, join bitcoin cash, start a new altcoin,....
in the end it won't make a difference. if you focus on this group of programmers and what they decide to do you are centralizing bitcoin with your own hands.
it is not going to happen by the way. bitcoin cash will always remain an altcoin even if they pump the price temporarily up!

Bitcoin core team will just dump all the free bitcoincash they have which will be enough to crash the bitcoincash's market. When segwit and lightening network will be activated bitcoin (BTC) will be far more valuable than this bitcoin cash shit. |

There are 453 contributors to bitcoin repository on github, and they are free to contribute to whatever other projects they want. It's quite possible that some of them will contribute or already contributed to Bcash. But if by "Core developers" you mean people like Greg Maxwell, Wladimir J. van der Laan, Luke Dashjr, than the answer is no - they have their own vision, and they will be working on it no matter what is the price and hashpower of Bitcoin and its forks. |

I would bet my entire BTC holdings that this will never happen. I can also bet my entire BTC holdings that the Core team will not support Segwit2x or any other fork whatsoever. Maybe, and just maybe... the only way I see Core devs departing is if somehow Segwit2x camp manages to force a PoW change in the legacy chain to survive, then technically they would be working in an altcoin, but it would be the best altcoin out there, and basically still the real Bitcoin. I hope we don't have to get there too... it would be a mess. |

BCC was expected to die soon but it has survived theses much days only due to support of some pools like viabtc supporting BCC and some traders doing trade with it to get some quick profits.There is no dedicated supporters for BCC.BCC value is just a speculated value and it does not express its original value.So,in no way,bitcoin core team would join bitcoin cash team. |

Let me say it for the 100000000 time . If BTC die there will be no value for any cryptocurrency . Goodluck convince someone that you want to cash out with BCC hahahah  . Goodluck try to convince any entity in the world to take cryptocurrency for real anymore . We have cryptocurrency because we have BTC and the moment BTC die all will fall with it.
