-> Address page

- Added BTC and ETH address balance.
Address 1FeexV6bAHb8ybZjqQMjJrcCrHGW9sb6uF shows Something went wrong... instead of the balance.

If I search for my addresses, can you add the balance of each address too? I don't recognize most of them, but adding the balance might help to highlight what's interesting. Or even sort them by balance (apparently I have mentioned 6,723 addresses).

13283  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BETA] BPIP Extension - user info add-on / extension for Firefox, Chrome, et al on: November 06, 2020, 05:01:05 PM
LoyceV is testing a different profile page that doesn't require him to create 3 million separate files.
About that: I expected to have time for this a few days ago, but IRL stuff came up so I've barely been online.

Quote
I'll update the test version once that's settled.
I don't know what it currently links to, but you can use https://loyce.club/profile.html?id=1410401 already. That link shouldn't change anymore when I make it look a bit better.

Quote
We're discussing options for that. Ninja features will be in the next version, which shouldn't take too long after this one.
It's getting tempting to install this add-on. But I don't like browser add-ons.
13284  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: November 06, 2020, 04:50:35 PM
Are addresses of Chipmixer known? Don't have idea about this although have used a few times.
All addresses are known, and it's easy to get all addresses with a balance that could be a ChipMixer chip. But anyone can create chip-sized inputs, so you'll never know for sure.

While checking the FAQ: this is outdated:
Quote
You can bet a chip to either receive twice as big one or receive nothing. Chance to receive big chip is around 47% and is provably fair.
And this too:

Why should I use bet/donate function?
13285  Economy / Reputation / Re: Most Recognized Profiles (by BPIP) on: November 06, 2020, 04:44:24 PM
Trust list inclusions. If someone includes you - that must count for something, right? Should be weighed though, otherwise newbie sockpuppets would skew the score.
How about the total number of feedbacks? Sent feedback should count for something, especially if the user is on DT. I'm pretty sure a few thousand users recognize Lauda's name because the red tag they've received.
Received feedback is already included the BPIP's "most Trusted" rating, but neutral and negative feedback isn't. And Flags could count too, it doesn't really matter if they're Supported or Opposed. Example: game-protect is recognized by many users!

Unless PBIP meant to use the second meaning of the word "recognize":
Quote from: Google Definitions of Oxford Languages
recognize
1. identify (someone or something) from having encountered them before; know again.
2. acknowledge the existence, validity, or legality of.
I always assumed BPIP's Most Recognized was based first definition.

Unique posters in the threads you started and/or total views of the threads your started
I think this is a bad metric. Example:
Report plagiarism (copy/paste) here.: Read 69652 times, 2017 posts (I didn't count unique users).
LoyceV's Trust list viewer: Read 13537 times, 365 posts.
I'd say the latter deserves more recognition than the former, but it isn't reflected in the number of views or posts.
13286  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The Lightning Network FAQ on: November 06, 2020, 11:22:05 AM
How do I establish the connection to the grocery store in this scenario? I send LN payments to the node operator. The node operator opens a channel to the grocery store?
That's the "magic" of LN: the network finds a route to send your payment. As long as the node is connected to someone who (is connected to someone who) has a connection to the node you need, it should work. It sometimes fails though, but I assume that gets better over time.
If you haven't tried it yet, just try Smiley A custodial wallet is easiest though, and if you post a payment request for 100 sats, I'll fund it so you can send a few sats to a casino to test it.
13287  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The Lightning Network FAQ on: November 06, 2020, 10:03:57 AM
I can conclude that the grocery store would be able to receive Lightning payments as soon as the channel was opened.
Correct.

Quote
But I have to be the one who opens the channel, not them?
A channel gets funded when it gets opened, so it makes sense to be opened by the person who has to pay the other person.

Quote
Sending payments in the opposite direction would in this scenario not be possible. The grocery store can't send me anything, because "my bottle is full" and I first have to empty it by sending funds to them.
Correct. But as a customer buying groceries, that should be fine. If you're a supplier selling something to the store it's a different story.

However, if a supermarket accepts Bitcoin Lightning payments, they'll most likely use a payment processor to handle the transaction. So you can open a channel to any well-connected node, and the shop doesn't have to worry about anything.
13288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Noob question on old wallet on: November 06, 2020, 09:56:05 AM
  • Balance shows 0
  • All the in/out transactions history are showing unconfirmed
  • Tried to check the Transaction ID in some sites but all returns not found
Are you sure it's a Bitcoin wallet? I've seen similar posts where users had a wallet.dat that belongs to an altcoin. Try searching for the txid on for instance a Litecoin or Dogecoin explorer.
13289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: The history of Bitcoin difficulty adjustment (in percent) on: November 05, 2020, 09:15:40 AM
I was wondering why the difficulty would go down when Bitcoin prices go up. It doesn't make much sense, but it turns out it has to do with seasonal hydro power in China.
13290  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin block data available in CSV format on: November 04, 2020, 09:10:24 PM
Is there any way to sort blocks from the lowest hash value to the highest?
sort?
Code:
wget https://loyce.club/blockdata/hash.txt.gz -O - | gunzip | grep -v "^id,hash$" | sort -t, -k2 | head

I want to see what is the lowest hash value human has generated on the proof of work procedure.

It hadn't happened for 50 weeks:
Fourth week paid.
Nineteenth week paid.
Thirty-fifth week paid.
Eighty-fifth week paid.

Testing my time machine again: thanks again Cheesy

I hoped to have time to work on loyce.club today, but reality made other plans for me. My time machine however helped me post here Tongue

Serious answer: Maybe BPIP uses the actual post time, I use my scrape time.

What happened to theymos in Strongest DT1 Position? He should be at DT1 strength (51), but he's shown as (0).
13296  Other / Meta / Re: Should confirmed scammers lose the ability to send PM? on: November 04, 2020, 05:12:17 PM
Yeah it might be a good idea if a user has a trust flag and at least 10 more supporters than opposers on it...
That would mean someone's ability to PM depends on who's on DefaultTrust, which varies quite a lot.

If a forum rule is created for confirmed scammers and is enforceable by the mods based on a certain criteria, wouldn't that make trust moderated?
Yes. And that's why I don't think this will ever be implemented. I'd like to see this implemented, but it won't help much anyway. A scammer can just PM using a Jr. Member account without any negative feedback anyway.

The administration should find a way to disable those with malicious intent from doing their dirty work through private messages
I don't think it's going to help:
Honestly, I think that someone that naïve can't be protected.

There's another thing: this forum aims to be as free as possible, which is one of the reasons why scams don't get moderated. Another reason is that Mods don't want to decide who's a scammer. I think the Trust Flag suggestion is the best so far (apart from the variation in DT).

Quickseller for instance has an active flag with many supporters, but I wouldn't want him to lose PM-privilages.

He said me that the reference to his copyright is mandatory.
First: I think you may find some images without source reference if you search back my oldest posts. But just like in this case, I don't think the user who posts it claims it as their own work. Just to be sure, I nowadays always add a source link to images, but not all users do that. Especially in the Wall Observer thread I've seen many (innocent) cases.

Plagiarism isn't the same as a copyright violation. Plagiarism can get you banned, copyright violations can get you into other problems. Either way, plagiarism is handled by forum rules, and shouldn't be used for negative feedback:
The system is for handling trade risk, not for flagging people for good/bad posts/personalities/ideas.

I'll quote my post here:

a challenge for you to check all DT1/2 members and their inappropriate feedbacks, due to which only a few were publicly named, but without any consequences.
There's a lot of those, partially because theymos changed the feedback descriptions when Flags were introduced and older feedback doesn't always fit the current description. And partially because many people leave feedback I don't agree with. I can't automate this, and I don't want to manually check tens of thousands of feedbacks. But if one pops up (like in your case), I share my opinion. Sometimes people change their mind, sometimes they don't.
Note that I haven't excluded (or included) you over this. I don't agree with all feedbacks for most people, so my Trust list is only based on the majority of their feedback.

As the title says
My favourite small exchange CoinPlaza.it (referral link in my Mobile signature) currently gets you 0.4175 DASH for 0.002 BTC. You can set this up without KYC.
Or, if you post your DASH addy, I'll set it up for you and get you a BTC addy to deposit to.
