Bitcoin as a payment network is a futile endeavor. It's better as a store of value.
I'm pretty sure the $1G invested in that space that needs bitcoin as a payment system disagree with you. Just being curious, why do you cheers for decentralized marketplace if bitcoin can't be used as a payment system? Not the idea of a payment system with 'visa' scalability. edit: BTC can, with the help of other platforms and doing off chain transactions.

Looks good. I suggest starting a dark market for NXT, just like what DPR started for Bitcoin.
I know it's shady, but this is one very good use case for cryptocurrencies.

Like all investments and all new companies, they tend to initially lose value. However, its value is bound to increase if the company or the project show some real potential. Much like bitcoin, if *your project here* sees some real adoption it may probably rise in value in the long run. Maybe next time I should post the people who said them? What do you guys think?

True. They only thing I am looking forward to is Augur. Which isn't even directly under Ethereum.
Doesn't it run on the Ethereum network though. That will make Ethereum useful. That remains to be seen sir. I've seen lots of hype and promises in crypto and most of them are disappointing. The altcoins scene is exactly like the penny stocks scene. It's full of P&D's to make money out of clueless idiots. And the way Ethereum was hyped, released, then dumped, it sure is looking just like another well executed P&D. But we'll see what develops. It's probably going to be another year before we something good out of this.

I think Cannabis Coin is the best choice since they are backed by "Marijuana Medical" dispensaries. Moreover, they are running “Yes We CANN” movement which is about medical marijuana dispensaries and shop owners that participate in providing safe, affordable, and quality medicine utilizing Cannabis Coin as payment. This movement is a way for dispensary owners to show their appreciation to their patients by donating some medication into the “CANNdy” inventory. So I think it would run for a long time This is not true. As far as I know there was only one dispensary in Phoenix that 'backed' CANN, but has since backed off from the deal. And they're having a hard time convincing others to back CANN.

Apparently Japan does not do bail. He's in a cage.
Lol cage. Does he have his cats with him? Probably no, japan prisons are harsh but he won't be bullied at least. Here is the short video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiw2NULDjKMI'm sure that Mark Karpeles will be in the apple pie factory, with his eight-hour shift consisting of peeling half an apple and passing it on to the next guy to peel the remaining half, all the while the smell of delicious apple pies will permeate the room, where he'll never taste the fruits of his labor. Hopefully we get to see a video of Karpeles marching with a guard counting ichi ni ichi ni with a megaphone on his face.

Another worthy post for the bagholders thread.

See? Analysis in the OP is a piece of shit. Description of the author: Sarah Jenn
Sarah has been involved in the cryptocurrency space since the every beginning. Having stumbled across well hidden discussions in early forums she immersed herself in the industry, and is now a leading author and consultant for a range of bitcoin companies. She loves DASH and mathematics.

The cash burn rate of Eth will slower as it will concentrate on very few developments in the future.

^ True. And Buterin and Co. would love a pump. They need to dump more ETH to fund whatever it is their doing.

And "helped redefine how poverty is measured"?? Did he make an economic model on how the elite take from the poor? Because that would be really interesting.

Lol Economists.
Remember these two? Myron Scholes and Robert Merto. They won a Nobel price on 1994 based on some derivatives model idea they had then started a hedge fund based on that model. They failed miserably and lost billions.
