1341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RIPPLE vs Bitcoin. What will banks do? on: November 28, 2017, 08:38:31 AM
- drive the price of ripple to the moon.
Ripple already have a pretty big market cap. It is designed to wirk with bank trannsactions and current market cap can successfully cover the current amount of transacrions (and even some further growth). Banks are not interested in unsupplied growth (making a bubble) just because it will make ripple more volatile while banks need stability for a normal work.
1342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Upcoming Hard forks on: November 28, 2017, 08:31:08 AM
I think a hard fork does not always benefit your investment
Although a hard fork in Bitcoin makes free money but not necessarily a hard fork on other coins will produce the same thing
I still have some doubts about those "free" money. For example the amount of profit recieved with bitcoin gold fork could be successfully added to bitcoin or any other altcoins. So if you take a look from the other side thoce garbage BTC forks are just taking the potential benefit from the usefull coins, which might be pretty harmfull.
1343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [GREEN] Sustainable/Regenerative Energy Coins on: November 27, 2017, 01:31:29 PM
The efficient "green" solution was not yet discovered.
1.  Wepower simply need their product (green power) to grow in price the same speed as growth cryptocurrency marker. Otherwise this will be an uneffective investment.
2. Powerledger. A some kind of app that will deal with the green power which is not working good for now? Nah, that won't work.
3. Bitproperty. The project is not rly about the green power and honestly the idea doesn't seem to be clear. Anyway it reminds me about Horisin state (HST). After the ICO there was a good pump and then the prices rushed down. As people are investing aiming to get a profit then bitproperty also looks unsafe.
1344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: sharp rise in major alt coins on: November 27, 2017, 11:56:41 AM
Hello,

From past few days, I am observing sharp rise in major alt coins i.e. bitcoin cash, dash, etheream...

What could be reason?  Bitcoin is expected to cross $10k soon..
I is mostly clear amout the "normal" cryptos but who da hell is buying a BCH scamcoin? It doesn't look like it is popular among anyone! The only explanation I see is that someone is silently buying it aiming to perform another attack on BTC, pump bitcoin cash and dump everything afterwards. Or maybe it just pumped thru bithumb...
1345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centra will go to moon ??? Card with Mastercard Logo on: November 27, 2017, 11:23:31 AM
Heh, the first comment on reddit:
Quote
At last the cards are ready to be sent to the customers, show the team is working hard to get the business off the ground asap.
And looking on their chart I aggree with that guy. Centra had better times: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/centra/
To make another XX pump it need to have some advantage (if not the product then the promotion, management, customer service, whatever) to compete with Monaco. Just another project (even if it is legit) won't repeat the success.
1346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold ETH until POS? on: November 27, 2017, 10:45:35 AM
Help me clarify this guys. Once POS happens, no more mining ETH. Then, is it good to sell the ETH, I have mined so far or hold until POS?
It doesn't mean that there won't be any chance to mine ETH, you've already mentioned that they gona have PoS mining. Also it doesn't mean that mining gona be mutch cheaper. Vitalik Buterin already mentioned that you gona have to deposit a decent amount of coins to guarantee that you  won't perform any attacks. Anyway you can expect the ETH pump once they switch o PoS but it is not yet clear about the dates.
1347  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Did you use OKPAY to buy Bitcoin? on: November 27, 2017, 08:50:28 AM
Tbh okpay doesn't look to be popular in cryptoworld simply because  it is reversible payment method (like skrill /neteller / paypal). It is mostly about the source of your funds. If they were added via credit or debit card then they can be charged back by the service provider (visa, mastercard etc.). Thats why even if you find someone to sell BTC for your okpay they will probably charge like 15-20% fee and ask for screenshots of your fund source. You can easily exchange your BTC to okpay (via bitpay) but you won't be able to load this funds to your card.
1348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Large Investment into Ethereum? on: November 27, 2017, 08:38:46 AM
If you sure that ETH will continue its growth then go ahead. But remember that you should never buy alts when they are on the top (imho 500$ for eth is a good price for now and I dont think that it will grow more so you might just lose your money).
If you are very new to cryptocurrencies then better don't buy anything for at least 2 weeks and try to understand how it works without any advices.
1349  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: WARNING Neteller takes your bitcoins and gives you joke money on: November 26, 2017, 06:59:19 PM
Just read details before ordering a card. I've noticed the same thing about Okpay but they notify about it before you order a card. Also if neteller say that btc deposits can be spent somewhere but not in your online stores then it won't be truth because such restrictions are put by the bank that issued a card and they usually now allow all bitcoin deposits. The only thing that I can advice is that you can use the currency exchange section of this forum and trade your btc for other user's neteller.
1350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why BTC is pumping now? on: November 26, 2017, 06:37:53 PM
People already chilled after cancelled fork. First they sold their alts and bought btc to get the free btg, then they went back to alts. Since that time alts had a good growth and holders probably have some doubts about the further growth and selling alts for btc again. Plus market is a bit wormed up with the rumors about 10k btc till the end of the year.
1351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My rules to pick a coin that could be x3-x10 or more . on: November 24, 2017, 10:48:31 AM
This is how I pick a coin to hold , feel free to add more , I love to learn more.
1. The market cap must be low . 1-10 million usd , <1 could be dangerous.
2. Should be coin , mineable , not a token
3. Has been mined >50% of the total supply so we will not have to be worried of the inflation .
4. An old coin with a stable project .

1. Combining with a point 4 you will get a coin that is not liquid at all
2. Why not? Tokens sumetimes demonstrate great results.
3. If the coin have any fuure perspectives then the future inflation is not a big deal. You can always predict the amount of new coins.
4. I imagine the old coin with 1 mln market cap and a huge amount of coins that already mined that can easily dump the price back after any growth. What can revive such projects?
1352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [preICO] EcoWaterAir (EWA) - ICO Innovative systems conditioning on: November 24, 2017, 10:40:43 AM
I've always been curious how such real projects can be affected by the blockchain and cryptocurrencies? Imho to make it work and bring a stable profit in cryptocurrencies you should deal with cryptocurrencies. Like you should sell your equipment for the all time fixed ETH price which will make the project uncompetitive in the market. Otherwise if the ETH rate will ever grow again the company's value will still remain at the same USD level and that will make your tokens a bad cryptoinvestment.
1353  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitmainmasters.com - DON'T BUY - they don't deliver orders on: November 24, 2017, 07:58:05 AM
That was a hard lesson for you. In future you should make some better research before sendong your money to someone.
A quote from the bitmain website:
Quote
Please do not place your order with anyone or anybody claiming to be an official Bitmain representative over email or Skype. It can be a scam and your confirmed order may never be delivered in such cases. Bitmain is neither responsible for nor offers any kind of compensation in such cases.
In addition while searching for any crypto related services always use adblock and never click on google ads. When I turn off the adblock I see over 50% of scam google ads.
Visit legit websites from reliable sources and bookmark them in your browser.
P.S. If you are a US resident then you should probably have a chance for a legal protection. It shouldn't be a big deal to find scammers if you have the invoice.
1354  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Delivery times Antminer S9 on: November 24, 2017, 06:22:51 AM
At the time of writing of this post, the Antminer S9 13.5 TH version is still available and it's expected delivery date is now Jan 21-31. Maybe you just missed it because this is usually posted right in the middle of the page after you click on the red "BUY NOW" button.

My reference is the official bitmain website: bitmain.com
The usual delivery time for any purchases from china is about 1-3 weeks for most countries (counting possible delays with the local customs control). So Jan 21-31 more looks like a pre-order than a normal order. Also I've seen a "scam accusation" where bitmain was extremely late with sending the packages so you have to be patient if you want to order something from bitmain.
1355  Other / Meta / Re: Measures against scams misusing the Bitcoin name on: November 23, 2017, 08:44:41 AM
This is true for me.
BCH was pumped during the attack on the Bitcoin so the "BCH holders" could take the money of people that bought it at a higer price. They lieraly pumped  it for the short time and sold their own coins taking the money of other people. Adding the attack on BTC and the other rumors and we have the situation that could be clearly concidered as a scam atempt.
I would realy like you to see you proving your statement.
1356  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling bitcoin for Skrill on: November 23, 2017, 08:24:43 AM
Are your serious ? so if someone do not reply to your messages it means scam ? wth is wrong with you ? haha poor meagainstheforum, wait for the guy to come and clear the thing before making this baseless posts to increase your post count Beer.
If a newbie member stopps communicating after requesting for an escrow then there is a high chance that it is a scammer (thats a proven practice). I am not saying anything, just warning some other users that might be dealing with him in this prticular moment that dealing with him without escrow is dangerous af.
1357  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling bitcoin for Skrill on: November 23, 2017, 08:02:17 AM
A newbie user stopped reponding me in PM after I've asked him about escrow. Deal with him with caution (or better just dont waste your time cintacting him) because this is more likely to be a scam.
1358  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CryptoScreener for BitCoin & Alt Coins on: November 23, 2017, 07:43:45 AM
The main page looks nice (especially the running line on the top side). In general the project remind me sbout the coinmarketcap (I've usually used it for such puproses) but the newsfeed is just awesome! It is possible to see almost all information about a certain coin on the single page.
My only advice for now is to make a general list of all cryptocurrencies / tokens based on total performance (and market cap) and add cryptos to 24h best performers with their numbers from the list (or at least add a volume to this  table) so it could be easier to undertand if the coin in green list is legit or not.
1359  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitconnect is scam? on: November 23, 2017, 07:26:34 AM
The article looks suspicious. Bitconnect shouldn't offer any stable annual income, especially that high. Anyway it looks like a pure ponzi cheme: most of the 24h volume comes from their own exchange (I'm realy curious to see any technical review of the exchange, maybe they just put a high volume by themselves), new buyers are bringing profits to the current holders and devs (I highly doubt that their exchange is legit) so it is possible to get some easy money at the beginning but such scheme will be 100% exposed sooner or later. And looking on the amount of scam allerts I'm sinking it will happen pretty soon.
1360  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] some BTC (or other cryptos) for Skrill on: November 23, 2017, 02:49:26 AM
I'm buying again!
Now I'm buying BTC and also can consider to take any other popular altcoin (ETH /  LTC / whatever) if you are willing to sell it. First post in this thread is edited. Feel free to ask your questions or make your offers.
