1341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man arrested in Germany keeps $60 Million dollars in Bitcoin from the police on: February 08, 2021, 10:26:03 PM
Well, if they "made sure" that his I'll-gotten wealth is not to be accessed again by anyone, they should've transferred the bitcoins to another wallet, so that even in the smallest chance that the person memorized his wallet address, his private key, there's still no way he's going to get a hold of it ever again. That's the most surefire way to ensure that this guy won't be able to access it again. But knowing the cops, they prolly never thought about it.
1342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin recovery? Can someone please help on: February 08, 2021, 10:20:35 PM
If in any case, you're still in good fortune since you have the private key of your wallet. You can use a wallet like CoinOMI for one, or those wallets that use private keys, just put that into the site and you should be good to go.
Keep trying using the private key on different dogecoin wallets, you can also try from versions made during the time you created the account,,, It should work for coinomi though. Maybe try the old version of Exodus wallet? They used to support DOGE but that was several years ago. Private keys for doge should work in any decent wallet though,,,
Exactly, constant trial and error should do the trick since you have the private keys anyway. It shouldn't lock you out permanently because technically, you have the tool to unlock it.
1343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Disadvantages of Bitcoin on: February 08, 2021, 09:57:08 PM
Volatility is almost out of the question now that there are huge bag holders buying more and more bitcoin almost every wek, keeping the price at a high point. However, bitcoin's transaction fees, and the length of time it takes for one to complete a transaction may far outweigh the financial benefits it offers.
1344  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla Bought 1.5 B in Bitcoins on: February 08, 2021, 09:55:01 PM
It's amazes me how more and more people, prominent figures at that matter, are supporting bitcoin by advertisement or buying it, one by one. And now we have Elon, who has always been vocal about his support of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, buying what I can say is a crapton of bitcoins. This purchase will definitely boost bitcoin, not only in terms of price but most especially to those who still have second-thoughts purchasing it and adding bitcoins to their portfolio.
The real world test drive to see what bitcoin to the world of finance starts officially today! Follow the money they say, and we now know that only the brave put their money where their mouth is. As cr1776, wrote somewhere else, let the money talk. Allow BS to go away!
As if there's any more BS that can be thrown to bitcoin now that it has reached this high a price point. It's price will become its own statement of how strong bitcoin is.
1345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold Could be Next Bitcoin on: February 08, 2021, 09:49:59 PM
With bitcoin and ethereum transaction fees soaring higher than the empire state building, veteran investors may opt into bitcoin gold as the alternative while the price is as it is right now. It offers as much financial security as bitcoin, yet with the perks of not paying too high transaction fees. So it definiyely may become the next big coin in the market, besides bitciin and ethereum of course.
1346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No 2FA and robbed of 0.097BTC on: February 08, 2021, 09:47:26 PM
I cannot emphasize enough how important 2FA is ensuring your funds is safe. Just because bitcoin offer security does not mean it is as secure as the fort knox. It has chinks in the armor and cracks in its shield that experienced hackers can take advantage of and sabotage, so it's better to take care of your money like it's your child, or the child of your friend you were asked to carry for a while.
After reading the OP comment I didn't quite understand how he was robbed! I am playing on Bitsler for some time, and I didn't have any problems with my deposits or withdraws. This is probably a special case, malwalre or pishing site, who knows, but it's not the reason to badmouth a casino becuse of it!
2FA is for protection, and when you have additional protection it's always better! I never had problems with 2FA, and I recommend it to people I know, so this topic concerns me a bit... I think that OP did something wrong, but he is not aware of it! He will have to rethink his steps!
Prolly not from Bitsler but somewhere along the path of transaction, Bitsler is secured, but then again we cannot really say for certain what happened. Let this just become a costly lesson to OP to use 2FA next time.
1347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling strategies & tips from professional players on: February 07, 2021, 10:07:55 PM
I'm no professional but I did this and I continue in doing this simple trick that helped me save a couple hundred dollars to thousands of dollars. It's no magic trick. Just self-control. I follow a gambling regimen where I automatically stop gambling when I reach a certain win amount per day, or if I lose a certain number of games. I believe in the saying that avoiding losses is a win in itself, and frankly, I've felt like I've been winning ever since I tested this strat.
Hi, Karl, I hope you are healthy and not infected with COVID-19, which is still spreading right now. And thank you for making this topic, because
in recent days I often experience losses playing gambling. Maybe in this topic I will find some strategies that can be used when playing gambling.
Although indeed I play gambling just for entertainment, so I don't really chase victory when playing gambling. But if I have a losing streak, it makes
me in a bad mood. So sometimes I want to taste big winnings too. Hopefully in this topic I can find tips that I can use to play Dice, Roulette, and Poker.
You should try this tactic out brother. I get that losses and gambling for money can indeed be a pain in the butt and can oftentimes lead to even bigger problems. Start this tactic as soon as you can.
1348  Economy / Economics / Re: The billionaires who own bitcoins on: February 06, 2021, 09:25:01 PM
Pretty sure there are more than these people who are filthy rich and owns their very own bitcoins too but would rather enjoy their privacy than being a celebrity on the internet because they own bitcoin too. And the fact that more and more prominent figures are realizing the worth of bitcoin as an asset is a clear evidence that we are off to a good future my guys, this is the path that most sought after commodities like gold and oil took before they basically controlled the market.
1349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling strategies & tips from professional players on: February 06, 2021, 09:17:45 PM
Really greatly differs based on the situation, the game you're playing and even the casino you are playing in. For sites like Betfury, where you are given the chance to stake, its optimal to go for that while minimizing your losses too. By the way, AFAIK Betfury gives everyone who gambles in them the ability to stake their BFG tokens which can then be withdrawn into real money, so you're getting paid to gamble, and this is besides your possible winnings.
1350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing the Bitcoin on: February 05, 2021, 11:00:15 PM
Convincing someone who's mind is set to hate or be against bitcoin will prove to be a herculean task, if not impossible. Just like what Jordan Belfort the real Wolf of Wall Street once said, you can't expect someone who does not need pens to buy from you, even if you create that need. So there has to be a natural need for this person to be easily persuaded, and then take it from there.
1351  Economy / Economics / Re: Need not just stimulus but usdt stimulus on: February 05, 2021, 10:55:54 PM
I find it off-putting that OP is asking for free money in the first place. And of course by doing the bare minimum which is, trading. Of course you are obliged to trade if you wanna earn big bucks, not because of free airdrops and stuff like that. I personally would like to be part of an airdrop like that but I want to side to the exchanges as it is bad for their business, and ultimately bad for us.
1352  Economy / Economics / Re: Risk-takers always ahead financially on: February 05, 2021, 09:55:47 PM
I get where you are coming from and from acrtain standpoint you are definitely right, but in a third-world country this wouldn't work, as most of the people there are in grave poverty and wouldn't have the luxury to spend money on investments. Most of them will take care first of their growling stomachs, and take it from there. You have to understand OP that it's not sometimes the person's, fault that they got in that situation.
Not all of the people have something to risk. Others would say that poor people should invest in crypto currencies, but we all know they can't afford it. They can't take the risk because every little amount of money they have, they need to use for their family because that is what they only have. But always remember that these risk takers didn't earn a profit everytime, they took risks and that also means that they also lose.
Exactly, but the thing about this is that, those who took risks and won get to enjoy a more luxurious life, while those who did not either stagnated or worse, became impoverished.
1353  Economy / Economics / Re: A user's turns his $130 into $1,30,000 in just 3 days (NFT) on: February 05, 2021, 09:52:16 PM
Didn't expect NFTs to go these far or big aside from in-game items and all that would definitely be worth a ton especially if they are rare ones. Still, as a collector I get why people would spend as much as 130k for something as bland and as uncreative as this. I for one would like to get into the NFTs business myself but still don't know the ins and outs of the industry so I'm still researching and all.
1354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is an investment on: February 05, 2021, 09:24:03 PM
That highly depends on your present needs, if you think you'll have something to spend it with that you needed dearly, then sell it, if none then hodl. Although personally what I would do is to sell some of it, keep some, then gradually work my investments up once again using the money I withdrew.
if you say bitcoin as an investment then it is the right choice and of course very smart because the price of bitcoin is getting more expensive from the influence of high demand while the supply of bitcoin is very limited it will make bitcoin prices always go up and of course it can give a lot of profit to bitcoin holders, so what are you waiting for, we have to buy as much bitcoin as we can for a bright future.
It is an asset, of course purchasing bitcoins will be considered an investment.
1355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambling black market thrives in Britain on: February 05, 2021, 09:21:34 PM
Wow, never really heard or known that such a thing is becoming more rampant in the UK, my question is, what is the government there doing about it? How has it gone to major scales if it's being taken care of by their Government? And what will their plans be in the future knowing that syndications like this will continue to grow if no new tactics or approach is given?
1356  Economy / Services / Re: Roobet.com | Art Contest "Roo in the Spotlight" gleam.io giveaway promotion! on: February 05, 2021, 03:30:15 PM
I noticed just now, Maus' artwork is like the girl version of mine haha!
1357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trust your gut on: February 04, 2021, 10:33:18 PM
Good decision, considering how influential family members can be especially in terms of financial matters. For those of us who are in the same situation as OP, take into account these two things
1. They didn't chip in to fund your investment
2. If you lose, you lose alone. If you win, you win with the world.

That should inspire some of us stuck in the same situation as OP and is more oppressed than he is.
Therefore I am lazy to tell other people that I invest in Bitcoin. Even parents, my friends and neighbors do not know I invested in Bitcoin. Because
I don't want them to influence the decisions I make about Bitcoin investment. We really have to believe in our own ability to analyze the market,
sometimes other people's opinions will only make us  make wrong decisions.

What you do is very right not to listen to your family to sell your Bitcoin, when it comes down to a price of $ 30k. Because now slowly the price of
Bitcoin is starting to rise again and in the near future it is likely to go up again to the price of $ 40k.
This is also a good way to make sure nobody's dictating or influencimg your investment decisions. Just don't tell them you HODL bitcoin in the first place lmao.
1358  Economy / Economics / Re: The narrative behind gamestop and wallstreetbets (a parody) on: February 04, 2021, 10:29:27 PM
This makes sense. But the thing is, wallstreetbets mainly targeted those bankers and brokers that shortsold on GME, they didn't really pay attention to those who would benefit from this because the winner at the end of the day will be GameStop and them buyers and hodlers. And the losers will be the brokers and investors who short sold on GME in hopes of getting more profits.
Its hard to tackle this topic without straying into the realm of conspiracy theories and parodies.

I wonder if its fair to summarize it as the following.

In 100+ years of tall buildings being constructed with steel frames. How many topped as a result of fires?

In 100+ years of market trading. How many times were non one percenters able to coordinate and organize to topple markets?

When one discovers seeming outliers in places they were not known to previously exist. What does it mean.

(What do people think about this?)   Huh
People just love patterns, that's just basically it, inherently this is not a bad thing but in the case of conspiracy theories, they are since they cause FUD, trauma and sometimes even fear among the masses, like the god-forsaken vaccine causes autism statement that was disproven in countless papers but is so embedded in the culture of Karens that they never bothered looking up.
1359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Employees can get salary in Bitcoin in Miami on: February 04, 2021, 10:22:37 PM
To know that more and more people are slowly accepting cryptocurrencies in theur daily lives goes to show that the global adoption we are all waiting for may come sooner than expected. People are now seeing the wonders of cryptocurrencies and how useful it is to the society, now we just have to see how this would pan out in the long run.

Props to the mayor too, he definitely made a great choice as this doesn't only allows his employees to know more about cryptocurrencies, it also jumpstart their investment journey.
But how many would want to? I do not think so.
Every revolutionary idea receives skepticism, so it's no wonder people may retaliate from this but as time goes by, and as soon as this is passed, it's gonna go uphill from then on.
1360  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Almost lost all of my coins in an exchange last week on: February 04, 2021, 09:30:19 PM
That is really iffy and scary at the same time. I also wanted to know why it took you that long of a time to even get back on your precious investments. I know sometimes people go hodl hibernation to relieve them of the worry but it seems as though you forgot you even had them in the first place. Nevertheless I am really glad that you got your coins back, now just be vigilant as hackers are becoming more and more intelligent in taking advantage of unsuspecting investors.
