1341  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinRobin - Bitcoin Horror Stories, Scams and Complaints on: September 27, 2017, 11:13:07 PM
Neat idea. I have a few stories if you're interested. They're from when I was completely new to BTC and was a little too enthusiastic about using Tor which resulted in me losing quite a few Bitcoins for obvious scams (I should have seen the red flags). Having been said, I did have one experience with a scammer which was somewhat positive. We spoke a little of Tor Chat and he actually refunded me my coins  Grin
1342  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Hardware Wallet Review Site on: September 27, 2017, 10:33:19 PM
A nice site although I'm not sure how you plan on monetising. There are plenty of generic Bitcoin review sites that cover a multitude of wallets (including hot/cold ones).
I think it'd be cool if you'd go into more depth on each of the reviews. Perhaps you could include a progressive review of you using each one with pictures of the systems running.
1343  Economy / Economics / Re: tax on: September 27, 2017, 10:05:58 PM
From what I understand, since BTC is seen as an asset here in the U.K., it is only subject to capital gains tax. That means that if over a year timeframe you earn more than £11,100 through trading/selling BTC then you would be subjected to pay tax on those gains.
1344  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN hits £3k on: September 27, 2017, 10:03:16 PM
It's never too late to buy in. You don't have to buy a while Bitcoin but can buy in gradually in smaller denominations. It's a risk just like all investments. If you wait the price could go down and you'd kick yourself for buying now. On the other hand it could go up a lot and you'll regret not buying in at this price level when you had the chance.
1345  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Seeking feedback/suggestions: Bitcoin Poker Chips from BTCC Mint on: September 27, 2017, 07:55:04 PM
Given the price of BTC I think it'd be nice to include those new to the crypto scene in being able to buy physical coins too. Most coins (even the lower denominations are still costly). The face value of BTC alone on a 0.1BTC coin is about $400 not including the costs of manufacturing and the premium above that.
On the one hand you can create more high value coins for the serious collectors but lower denomination coins would be appealing to the new collectors.
1346  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are any charities or non-profit organizations accepting Bitcoin? on: September 26, 2017, 07:06:33 PM
There are loads of charities accepting Bitcoin as a method of donation.
If you do a google search for "bitcoin" + "charity" then you'll get a lot of results including individual charities accepting BTC as well as directories/sites listing charities that do.
1347  Economy / Goods / Re: Where to buy suits & shirts using Bitcoin? on: September 26, 2017, 07:01:01 PM
You should probably rename the title of your thread.
The title implies you asking a question but the post itself is promoting a company.
Anyway, thanks for sharing. The more widely accepted BTC is, the better it is for all of us!
1348  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Bitcoin for amazon gift card on paxful on: September 25, 2017, 11:49:38 PM

Let jump straight into the question .

i sell bitcoin for amazon gift card on paxful and the trade went pretty smooth the gift card balance was there , but the problem is that i cannot redeem the card the owner said until i release the bitcoin , after that he unlock the code .

Should i release my bitcoin ?

The trouble with using such sites is that the seller demands that the funds are released as soon as they send the Amazon codes. This means that if anything goes wrong with the code then you're out of luck (and out of pocket).
The reason that these cards are being sold so cheaply is probably because the cards are being obtained shadily and therefore there is reason to be concerned that the card won't work after a while or that Amazon block your account for applying GCs that were illegally obtained.
1349  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin now Down more! on: September 25, 2017, 11:43:21 PM
Many factors affect the price. Most recently the news coming out of China caused the price do drop when many people began to panic sell. Other factors include major 'dumps' on exchanges. If there are a few big sell walls then people are prompted to panic sell. When supply>demand then the market price falls too.
1350  Economy / Goods / Re: Panerai PAM 297 (PAM00297) Luminor GMT series on: September 25, 2017, 11:35:18 PM
How would one go about verifying that this is actually an authentic Panerai if not dealing in person? There are plenty of fakes floating around (including those with fake boxes and official looking paperwork). How do you intend on proving it's authenticity considering that the price being charged isn't a 'small' amount?
1351  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION - ONLY 12 HOURS LEFT!] BTCC Mint’s New One and Two Bitcoin Silver Coins on: September 25, 2017, 11:32:18 PM
Just wanted to throw this out there. If anyone has an extra that they want to unload please pm me Grin
Ty.

Which ones were you after? There were 3 of the 2 Bitcoin (2BTC) coins that were unsold. Not sure what BTCC has planned for those ones.
I also doubt anyone has any 'extra'. You'd likely have to pay a bit of a premium for the coin, especially now that the auction is over.

I'm actually interested in travelling to Shanghai and have quite a lot of free time in the near future. If anyone wants me to hand collect coins and bring them back to the UK/EU then let me know.

Based on OP's previous post history pattern it seems like this post (entire thread) doesn't really fit it. In other words, it looks suspicious (including the updated OP claiming to be hacked). Overall grammar, writing style and formulation of words doesn't match.
I'd stay away. Account may have been hacked or purchased. Either way it's not in the original owner's possession for the time being.
Just my two cents.
