1341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LOL] LeagueCoin | X11 | PoW + PoS | TipBot for League of Legends released on: June 13, 2014, 12:15:06 AM
Wow 6000 sat is so under priced. at the end of PoW with 1.5 mil coins that translates to a marketcap of only around 55k USD... insanely small. This could go ridiculously higher than that if the developments come through.

For the moment we PINK have a website for anon transfer, that is great.
But I would like to see this implemented in the wallet, is there any timeline/schedule for that?

+1 for PINK

Nope... all that in development and no schedule whatsoever. They will be released when they will be released Smiley We all know what happened to the coins who gave schedules, promises and time frames. And looking at all the new experimental features we're brainstorming and toying with, a time frame is the most unproductive thing we can happen for this coin. Unlike other coins (and most public companies), we don't plan on "pleasing" traders or investors with a stimulant (hype) each quarter / month / week. We go down that road, then we will only have time for that. Sockpuppet management is a time consuming and often expensive working style... but it simulates activity and pleases the day traders Smiley

Hi, thanks for quick reply.
Even though you dont want to have a timeschedule for upcoming releases I think that the PinkCoin community would appreciate to know what features and functions will be implemented.

I appreciate whatever you are doing guys but want to know what features will implemented and by that said I think that more people would engage and take part of the Pink community.

regards

I understand the anxiety to know whats coming up in the future for Pinkcoin, and like anyone coughing up money in an investment, would like as much details as possible. But pretty much the major things we're working on are unique to Pink and cannot be comparable to features of other coins at the moment. We're also in the middle of testing their feasability... whether its practical, most effecient way to go about implementing them etc. Some of them may not even be remotely possible. It would be an embarrassment to say we're working on so-n-so feature, news spread like wildfire, prices shooting up, only to realize its not feasible, and prices come crashing down leaving behind a horde of bag holders... impatient for the next "feature" to be announced so they can cash out with minimal loss, etc. The announcement cycle will be a never ending process then... giving hints and stuff every few days, putting more pressure to get half baked features out there. It has the same outcome of having a timeline. Its one of the reasons we adopted a no announcements / hype policy and ninja launch them when they are ready for public. In some cases like the anon, we needed a larger base of users to test it out and provide feedback so we could fix the bugs before rolling out the final version and locking it.

Rest assured, now that its behind us, we're moving on to tinkering with other features that really matter. I'm not going to lie... its going to be a while. Just don't keep refreshing every 10 minutes like McHammer to see if the next feature is announced  Cheesy

+1. Keep up the good work.
1343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 11, 2014, 11:05:10 PM
Can somebody compare boolberry and monero for me? Not sure what one's advantage is over the others. I see that monero uses CryptoNight algo while boolberry uses Wild Keccak..

TipBot V2 minor update:

I just added a new feature as some people mentioned, now when you send a tip to someone who hasn't added LeagueCoinTipBot in friend list, TipBot will send a friend request to that player.

Nice work! Keep it up!

Seriously, take a look at McHammer's post history. All he does is post annoyances and fud on this thread. Hmm I wonder what kind of agenda this person has.

I've never bought a skin for LoL, and I play it fairly often. If this coin could be used to buy skins, I would buy one! See, this coin would help LoL generate more revenue  Wink

How come the front page doesn't mention the ipo where 1m coins were sold for 2k sat? that's important info for a potential investor to know isn't it? Ipo's are fine, but when they are hidden that's a problem.

Are you blind or what? Here is the info, first post :p. I read it and complained about it several times, I don't agree with it but is not hidden.

Cheers!.

That little box mentioning nothing about an ipo which give a link to the ipo are you fucking kidding me? there should be in black and white a full disclosure of the ipo, how many coins at what price among the details of the pow/pos stages.

What are you talking about?

How is this not clear:

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

The google doc shows exactly how many coins were distributed, when they were distributed, who they were distributed to, and for how much money, and it is right there in the OP... wtf else is there to include?

For me is option 2. It has a very deep visual message. It reminds me of "Brutalist architecture", very deep. It holds my mind on it. The other one is to regular, to superficial. Option 2 is a bizzare beauty on my mind. I like the lights, the shadows, and the floating piece on the top, it's like anti-gravity. Clean, but unique.

That was a very intense first comment!

Its tough but I think I like the 2nd one a little more as well.
It would help if we could see what they look like when scaled to different sizes, used for the logo on something like coinmarketcaps where it is very small for example. Don't want something that scales down poorly.

McHammer... why don't you sell your coins and get lost already? I'm not sure if you understand how it all works IMO. You DID NOT buy a share of a company called "PinkCoin" that is "owned" by us. You are not "our" investors. You have invested in Pinkcoin that is owned by no one. What that means is you are welcome to take it over and do what you want with the coin. The source code is public... fork the coin and if you have the majority of the people willing to follow your fork, that becomes the new pinkcoin. Exchanges will update to your forked wallet and you can run the show as you please. But if you don't have the skills or the inclination to do that, I suggest you shut the fuck up, get your entitled ass back in line and wait for the price to go higher and sell it whenever you please. That goes for everyone here on this thread. Sell and don't turn back. Buy back at 300 if / when you have regained confidence in the team. But stop posting uneducated nonsense like this fellow here.

We have volunteered to bring this coin back to life, spending our money, time and skills. That does not mean we have an obligation to double or triple your money. Most of you are all in it for the free ride without contributing anything for the coin... not even a fucking tweet. Which is ok.... not something we can expect from everyone. But please... if you are a noisy retard, don't get into crypto or trading. We get shit done, and generally don't have the patience or time to hold your hands and console you if the price is not picking up at the pace that is coinciding with your next rent date. There's over 600 coins for you to choose from. I personally would prefer a community with fewer intelligent people who know a thing or two about crypto and trading, than a horde of dumb fucks throwing regurgitated words like "pumps", "fake buys", "sell walls" and "dumps" without taking a step further in educating themselves about the psychology and economics behind accepting a coin.

I agree with most of what you said in here, but you are trying to build a cryptocurrency that "will be used by millions of people", i guess this is the goal... and you are not acting like a professional at all. You are speaking like a "thug nigga from tha streetz". Not cool at all. I don't think i fully agree on that investor part. The more people that put money in pinkcoin, the more money you can make in order to cash out a percent and sustain your business or at least be motivated to continue it. It's a win - win situation. Until you have a finished product, this currency belongs to you or the other coders. Without you, the professional approach, even the 3th grade explanations of the technology, this coin would be just another garbage at 1 satoshi. And i'm pretty sure that you wouldn't wanna work like a slave and see 1 satoshi for months.

I agree I am not in my best behavior when replying to people like him. I do not need to. Pinkcoin is not a corporation or something like that where pleasing investors is a key. If you give that corp / investor dichotomy to crypto, it wouldnt work. No one here is "paid" by pinkcoin to incentivice any ROI for investors. Each take a risk in putting money in a coin (including the dev team). The people who step forward and volunteer to contribute more to the value of the coin, do not need that extra burden of being accountable for profit.... especially someone elses profit.

I do not understand what you mean by the coin belonging to us till there is a finished product. Pinkcoin is a finished product. Its on the exchanges because it is. Adding additional features to the coin is in no way a monopoly for the devs or this team. Anyone can come forward and do so. People can simply download the source code, add a feature, compile it and ask everyone to start using the new wallet. Of course its at their own risk. We will vouch for them if the code is clean. We encourage them to come forward and would even love to provide a platform like a chatroom with us to brainstors and bounce ideas off each other. The only thing we have complete control over is this thread, website, and few other links we created for the coin. Not even the wallet belongs to us. So its not exactly a win-win situation if 99% of people are not contributing and waiting for the 1% to make them rich... and then complaining about it each time they post something. So I believe when I tell people like McHammer (who has contributed absolutely nothing), whose negativity is contagious and offers nothing constructive, to shut the fuck up and get lost, I am saying so from a position that me and the rest of the dev team have earned.

+1!
1352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT]Mintcoin V1.9.1, Energy Saving Coin *27 Exchanges *59 Merchants on: June 10, 2014, 03:55:07 PM

From what I have seen from my exploration of MINT so far is that some fairly quick changes can be made. Modifying the code to provide a quick launch of the application, modifying the code to reduce the computing resources that staking uses, and adding Qt5+ support are the first obvious things I see.

Those seem like great ideas, how difficult would they be to implement?

1356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LOL] LeagueCoin | X11 | PoW + PoS | TipBot for League of Legends released on: June 10, 2014, 08:00:36 AM
That person doesnt understand money.. Lets just imagine for a second that Leaguecoin could be used to purchase skins in the game (as in riot actually incorporated and used leaguecoin for its sales) this would not take away from riots profits in any way, they would still be making X amount of money from every skin they sold whether they sold it for fiat or sold it for Leaguecoin (which they would then simply turn into fiat). In this scenario you best believe that would lead to Leaguecoins increasing drastically in price because this would mean actual adoption and true utility for the coin, but this increase in marketcap would not be taking away from riot profits in any way. It would take away from the number of sales done in fiat, but it would not take away from the overall number of sales or the revenue in those sales (if anything I imagine it would indirectly increase their sales because a bunch of LoL nerds struck gold and made big money on Leaguecoins which they now have nothing to spend on other than their favorite game which led them to that coin in the first place...)

1357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LOL] LeagueCoin | X11 | PoW + PoS | TipBot for League of Legends is Ready on: June 09, 2014, 02:29:34 PM

agree i don't know why they say it hard to find the ipo details its on the op, under block explorer. yes it could be made more clearer, but its not like everyone is asking about its not clear. only a few.

So because only a few people notice makes it ok? Seriously?

only few people as in the people who cannot see it. how many people have complained. the btc volume suggests investors have read the ipo and are aware of it. if people don't want to spend more time reading in detail the op post its not dev fault.

all im saying more  investors have noticed it than those that say it is not clear.

But why not push for transparency in the first place and offer the information to future investors?

EDIT: For example, putting it where it matters, on the ANN main post.

im very sure it was not done with intention of concealing it. anyway its being mentioned in thread. why people over reacting to this ipo lol. people can decide for themselves i don't understand how they can miss it.

not talking about it again. its on the original post read it

Because it's not on the main post, where it should be, for something of this importance.

I will not be investing in a coin that obviously does not take transparency seriously enough into consideration.

lol don't we have 69btc volume, anyway, its investors job to read the post fully not skim read it. like i said only few people whining, about it. if someone trying to create FUD try harder

You have it backwards. It's the developers and PR's job to sell the coin to investors, and offering transparency is a make or break for any REAL investor. Best of luck with your coin I've seen enough.

IPO is clearly stated on the OP, and they even have a google doc for the distribution which is pretty good in terms of transparency https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aj5IsR7dyNBLdFh6RE1BeFVFZm04SzVzTFNScUFCN3c&usp=sharing#gid=0

If most the IPO investors have already sold that is a good thing, for us (not for them).

If whitecoin (also 300mil total) could get above 1k and hold it there for some time, I have no doubt pink can do better.
1359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Silkcoin is going to steal people's money. on: June 08, 2014, 06:58:56 PM
You're an idiot. You could say any of the new altcoins are "potentially scams" without any proof at all and you would have a non-zero probability of being right in one way or another because nearly all altcoins are scams in one way or another... Funny though, silkcoin is one of the few new coins that has actually been coming through on what it promises (so far). You could find blatant and obvious scams to expose if that is what you are really after, but instead you decide to target a coin which so far has no reason to be suspected a scam?
1360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I just got threatened by PM when I challenged Silkcoin as being a scam. on: June 08, 2014, 06:53:28 PM
Screw this guy. He comes into a coin thread and starts calling people names and calling the coin a scam with ZERO proof or even a hint of proof and he gets mad because people don't respond nicely? It is in no way appropriate to threaten people (not sure that PM qualifies as a threat though honestly, more so just advice) but it is also not appropriate for you to be doing what you are doing and if you keep it up you can expect people to treat you like the troll you are.
