1341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 08, 2023, 01:26:40 PM
from the start of the season until now Leeds has not shown any improvement. in fact it has been a long time since Leeds got a win in the Premier league. Leeds' last victory was against Bournemouth in Week 15. and since then Leeds have not won again. and tomorrow Leeds must prepare to face MU which is currently in a condition that is getting better. MU early in the season was not very consistent. but in the second half of the season after the World Cup break. we see very good change in Team MU lately. So of course in tomorrow's game MU will be favourites.

Leeds performance has not been really good. They had just recently let go of their coach after losing their last match on Sunday against Nottingham Forest. It would definitely be an easy win for Manchester United as they’re the favorites to win all over.

During the preseason games, Manchester United played well but at the beginning stage of the league, they had lost their first two games. I believed Ten Hag was then still making some critical changes. Changes that is now reflecting in the current gameplay of the squad.
1342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 08, 2023, 04:39:43 AM

who doubts to bet MU when seeing that odds?
Leeds is underperformance after losing versus Forest. While MU is being confident after almost winning with 2 different goals at Old Trafford.
But, what makes me a bit doubtful is unstable performances, which is still like a specter to all in on MU.

Manchester United is in my opinion in great form. That’s despite drawing and sharing points with Everton in their last match. That doesn’t make them any less in form. The match with Leeds would be a good one for Manchester United.
They desperately need a win to get the three pointers and climb up the table to be on level with Manchester City.

Manchester United is clearly the favorites to win in this game and a win I believe they would achieve. Also, playing at home has its advantages, not that it makes that much of a difference. I believe with this match, Manchester United could grab the 3 points somewhat easily.

I think it's time for Liverpool to change coaches because no matter how good a coach is, there is a time. Klopp is a good coach, maybe there should be refreshment in the locker room (motivation problem). Many players performed below standard from the previous season and new players may not have chemistry with Juergen Klopp's coaching methods.
Coach Klopp's style has not changed, it is still monotonous, demanding high pressing players which is tiring. Even though many of them are aging.

Klopp should not be replaced like that. In my opinion, it’s just not right to let him go considering what he has achieved for the club. He has won the champions league trophy, premier league and the EFL Cup. Those titles should speak on his behalf.

I think they need to approve some funds for him for acquire new players and groom them on how best to utilize their abilities. If only the fans would have some patience with him till next season. I think the board need to approve some money for new players cause if they go into next season with this same performance, then a termination would most likely be in the works for him.
1344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 07, 2023, 04:37:24 PM

It looks like Tottenham is looking for fresh air options to continue to strengthen the goal defense. Based on rumors circulating, Jan Oblak will soon become a special topic of conversation for the Tottenham side. By risking their ideal position in the Premier League, they don't want to miss the next season's Champions League ticket train. I think Tottenham are pretty strong with their defense and can be consistent with a Lloris in goal.

Jan Oblak is a great goal keeper and a stop stopper and would be a great addition to the Tottenham side. He’s stayed far too long at Atletico Madrid and should in my opinion needs to explore other options and leagues.
Hugo Lloris hasn’t been doing so well. After having won the World Cup with France in 2018, he hasn’t been doing so well with Tottenham. Making silly errors that leads to goal.
It wouldn’t be bad having another competitive goalie in their ranks and I think Oblak is just that. He’s very good as well as experienced. It would be a good move if he actually makes the move.
1345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 07, 2023, 04:27:38 PM
It looks like Barcelona this season is a team that has a good defense, because with Barcelona being consistent they don't often concede goals in every match. So these results have made Barcelona conceded only seven goals so far and what's more, Barcelona has a good number of goals too because they are only two goals different from Real Madrid.

So indeed, with this achievement I personally admit that Barcelona deserved to win the La Liga title this season. Because Barcelona has consistently good performance in La Liga, and of course that is a result that must be appreciated.
Barcelona deserves it but real madrid too.  there are 18 matches remaining so far. I think that this is too early to think that barcelona will be winning the title. I will believe that's gonna happen at least if barcelona will able to make at least 12 points gap or even more to the real madrid.
The situation can change anytime. None can predict what's gonna happen in the future. Real madrid is trying to do various evaluations to get the best solutions to fix the problem that happened with the club. It can be said that real madrid potentially come back strong in the future.
I hope that if madrid can come back later and try to give more pressure on the barcelona. Both have same chance to take the title but barcelona is one step ahead with some gaps of points.

If I would rate the league at the moment, Barcelona has a 70% chance of winning the league but only if they stay on the path and the form they’re currently at. The only thing that. Would affect them is if they would incur unexpected injuries as Dembele is currently down with injuries. They should also should take care not to lose Lewandoski for too long as he’s very instrumental in the attacking forward.

Their defense is also doing a great job. They have improved a lot in their defense as they’ve conceded lesser goals in their last five games. If they could take each game as they would a league finals, they would easily win the league. They really do need this season as they need to bolster their morale with a cup win.
1346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 07, 2023, 04:17:26 PM
Was it just because of Mane, or was it coincidental since Mane left for Bayern Munich?
I don't think Liverpool's bad form this season is due to Mane leaving for Bayern, that's not the only reason in my opinion.
I assume that overall Liverpool have dropped this season and it's not just about their strikers. Players' injury problems have damaged their form, while the new arrivals have not been able to prove their best so far.

Liverpool need really good midfielder to push more power in midfield instead of being so focused on improving attack. The proof is, since Darwin Nunez and Gakpo filled Liverpool's line-up, they weren't really able to contribute much to victory. Is it because of Klopp's incompetence, I think that's bad reason too.

Klopp cannot be said to be incompetent. He just has the bad luck of having some injured players at the moment.
I think they lack in their  midfield as they don’t dominate with the ball as good as they used to. They’ve still got great attackers but without a good midfield, how effective can a striker be?

My personal grudge with Klopp is that he had to let Mane go. I think they need some new players and that also would take some some time to get the new players get accustomed to the club.
I think the coming champions league match with Madrid is going to be a tough one for Liverpool. My personal thoughts on the match would be a Madrid win.
1347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 07, 2023, 05:15:40 AM
That is also my fear for Arsenal this season because from the start of the season, Arsenal have been on high alert in all their games and that has built Asernal motivation for a while now, but as this loss has started coming in I don't think Asernal will be able to sustain it competency to stay at the number 1 spot.
*But luck was on Asernal side because Manchester city who was supposed to replace Arsenal's spot also lost their match over the weekend.

They have just lost a game to Everton. That does not mean they have started down the losing streak and definitely doesn’t mean that the loss has started coming in. Every team irrespective of how strong they are loses matches too. I don’t think the loss has started coming in for Arsenal. They still play very good football and were just unlucky in the last match against Everton.
Like Arsenal, Manchester City also lost their game, would we also say that they’re going down and the loss has started coming in? I guess not.
1348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: February 06, 2023, 11:30:20 AM
I'm on board with your thinking here .
I'm leaving some bitcoin on a ledger for my kids they're 7 and 4 now .
I talk to my 7 year old about Crypto as he's heard about BTC and Doge through roblox ! He understands the value of money and appreciates anything we do for him which is a blessing

Leaving your kids some bitcoin is great. As they’re too young to fully understand it’s value and potential, keeping it safe and leaving it for them is the best thing right now. When they grow older and fully understand what bitcoin is all about, they’ll be surely surprised and damn well ecstatic that their pop had left them a small fortune.
But for now, I think it’s best to let your kids enjoy their childhood. There would be plenty of time for grownup stuff later on.
Learning is a gradual and sometimes slow process. We shouldn’t rush what’s meant to happen slowly and in due time.
1349  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: February 06, 2023, 10:16:09 AM
A rent to own or a loan that will give you a house right after you paid it, is a good decision. Renting a house forever will cost you a lot, and it is only for temporary. The disadvantage of it is that not every single time is you have money, and once you didn't pay the rent, you're living in the street and you don't want that to happen. Saving is also another option, then buy a house and lot.

Renting an apartment is inevitable for someone just starting out in life. Without any inheritance in form of a house or a huge sum, renting an apartment is inevitable. I don’t think anyone who rents out an apartment intends to keep on paying rent forever. I know I wouldn’t want to pay rent for the rest of my life. That is financially draining.

One could get various source of income and work to save money to buy a house of their own. I’ve met such folks.
I wouldn’t exactly call renting a waste of money as even some home owners now once paid rent at some point in their lives. And not everyone could be homeowners.
1350  Economy / Economics / Re: Monthly or weekly pay? Fixed or percentage earning? what is your prefrence. on: February 06, 2023, 09:52:22 AM
I personally think that a weekly pay is better. why? it gives more space for maneuver. for example, to quit your job, you do not have to wait a whole month. it is also easier to plan the budget, payment of loans (loans are evil, but sometimes you need them).

A weekly pay does gives you some room for maneuvering as you could quit and walk out of your job at any time after collecting your paycheck for the week.
But I think a monthly pay is more better and quite easier to budget than having a weekly paycheck. With a monthly paycheck, you could easily budget your pay towards your expenses and with a good budget, you could service some loans and still actually have some money to put towards savings left afterwards.
While you are more likely to spend your weekly paycheck as they arrive knowing you’re gonna get paid again in about seven days.
1351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will not become the world currency. on: February 06, 2023, 05:54:48 AM
Everyone has their one opinion on bitcoin, if you say BTC will not be the world currency in the world then no will argue with you because that is how you see or your point of view. Bitcoin did not come to remove Fiat currency but bitcoin is here to strengthen the Fiat currencies in the world if only they understand the coin adopt it.

What you mean by bitcoin is here to strengthen the fiat currencies in the world if only they understand the coin and adopt it? In my opinion and opinion varies, Bitcoin is not here to become a world currency neither is it here to strengthen fiat currencies. Why would it want to strengthen fiat currency?

Bitcoin has come to be a great alternative to the fiat currencies and the present financial system and not to strengthen it.
Think about it, if it was here to strengthen and support the present traditional financial fiat system of payment, then governments of the world would love bitcoin and support it.
1352  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: February 06, 2023, 05:34:45 AM
in my case it has not given me financial stability but I am able to pay off my bills and utilities and that is it
side hustle is beneficial only if you are doing it from scratch - and cutting all the costs then you are successful

What do you think financial stability is? The fact that you are able to comfortably pay off your bills and utilities is a sign that you are well on your way to becoming financially stable.
Side hustles are beneficial irrespective if you’re doing it from “scratch”(no clue what you meant there). When you are able to pay off your bills and utilities comfortably, then you are on on your way to being financially independent and stable.
It’s not till when you’ve got 20 yachts or 10 jets, then that is when you should feel financially stable Orr secure.
1353  Economy / Economics / Re: Is taking a loan/debt addicted ? on: February 05, 2023, 09:27:15 PM
I think choosing the right time to take a loan is more important than the loan itself, and that depends on the long view and understanding of the world's economy. Loans have been an important tool for business owners to develop their business, so we can't judge them the worst way, as successful and experienced business owners know how to leverage the loans to increase their wealth. In the same context, I have seen a lot of crypto traders managing to make profits out of nothing by just taking a loan and investing it in a good project during the bull market. However, risk is always involved when it comes to loans, but we can mitigate the risk by making analysis and researches to understand where things are going.

I wouldn’t exactly say choosing the right time to take a loan is more important than the loan itself. I think the purpose of which the loan was taken out is what’s important.
If a loan is taken out from the bank at the “right time” and is used to go on a spending spree buying irrelevant things and gaining more liabilities. The loan obviously won’t be paid back to the bank at the specified due date even though it was taken out at the right time.

The aim in which the loan was taken out beats all other reasons. Only assets could bring in money. Getting luxury goods aren’t wise cause they’re just more liabilities.
Business owners who take out loans to invest in their businesses are in a better position to pay back the loan and continue to have a successful business.
1354  Economy / Economics / Re: Monthly or weekly pay? Fixed or percentage earning? what is your prefrence. on: February 05, 2023, 06:14:35 PM
To the people who work that their salary is not enough, in reality, they would prefer the weekly salary, why? so that they don't get into debt, because if their salary is paid monthly, their debt will surely accumulate.

Then for others, the monthly salary is okay with them, that's because their salary is big and they can budget their salary anyway.

There are very few people who work either weekly or monthly and would admit or agree that their salary is enough. I don’t think people who work monthly would prefer to be paid weekly just so that they wouldn’t go into debt.

You would always incur debts of you aren’t prudent and are careless with the way you spend your funds irrespective of the way and manner you earn.
Strict budgeting of your income would help keep you safe so whether you earn daily, weekly or monthly, you would be safe and free from debts.

1355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoiners are not friendly physical? on: February 05, 2023, 04:43:43 PM
OP, there are a millions reasons on why people you meet on here would not want to meet up physically. People do things for different reason. Humans have got different characters and personalities and you wouldn’t expect people to behave the way you would want them to or the way you would like.

I think people are generally skeptical and a bit hesitant if I might add to meet up with some stranger you met online and for the first time also. Asides that, people love and value their privacy and would protect it at all costs. I know I do value mine.
1356  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Web Browsers begun to have inbuilt Cryptocurrency Wallets on: February 05, 2023, 04:29:00 PM
There are far better and safer wallet out there and in my opinion, there isn’t any reason to make use of such wallets that are attached to browsers. I think it’s far worse than having your coins on exchanges.
It isn’t completely useless as it could be used for a fast and single transaction.

I wouldn’t personally recommend anyone to use that wallet. It is open to various malware and viruses that could quietly and quickly infect your computer and have access to your files and funds without you being any wiser. Best to use wallets you know and trust.
1357  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your biggest obstacle to achieving financial freedom ? on: February 05, 2023, 01:51:12 PM
The biggest obstacle to financial freedom is being part of the FIAT financial system. The
system is designed to make it easy to become dependent, for example Mortgages and loans.
Once you avail of their products you become enslaved, 25 or 30 year mortgage, to be completed
when you retire, loans for items we cannot afford and/or dont need and which will need
updating with newer products with newer loans.

I think you’ve got a point there. Being part of the present Fiat financial system is an obvious setback to being financially independent and free. The present system is designed to keep the gap between the rich and the poor even wider. It favors the rich and wealthy.

There are folks that spend half their lifetime paying off mortgage and/or debt payments. I also think credit payments given by banks also encourage people to purchase things and pay later. That also would help encourage loan taking and more debts.
1358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption growing stronger everyday on: February 03, 2023, 01:05:07 PM
While I don’t think any government could totally stop the use and adoption of bitcoin, I think there are always ways in which governments could hinder the adoption or to curb the use of bitcoin within their borders. Despite all that, bitcoin continues to grow slowly and steadily.

It’s always great to see the growth and adoption of bitcoin grow stronger everyday. The misconceptions about bitcoin is gradually fading away and people are beginning to see bitcoin for what it truly is. A game changer and a great new innovation in the financial system.
1359  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: February 03, 2023, 06:45:56 AM
As things stand, both the sides doesn't have any reason to stop fighting. Russia is benefiting from increased prices on crude oil, natural gas, potash, sunflower oil and wheat, while Ukraine is receiving tens of billions of USD from the Western nations. The war is benefitting the oligarchs on both the sides, and private defense companies such as Boeing and PMC Wagner. The frontline hasn't moved much since Ukraine reconquered Kherson and Kharkiv three months ago. There are static confrontations in Ugledar, Bakhmut and Kreminna.

Both sides also have reasons to stop fighting. Russia has lost and is continuously losing on a daily basis a lot of men, material and resources as well. And with the numerous sanctions currently imposed on them by the west and it’s allies, they’re are losing far much money than they seem to be benefiting at the moment.

Ukraine also isn’t benefiting anything as they’ve got to be constantly on their toes to be able to counter and repel any offensive from the Russians.
I’m curious, do you think the Ukrainians are getting cold hard cash in form of aid from the west and it’s allies? I don’t think so. They’re getting lots of new equipment technology and aid that’s is worth that amount. I don’t think they’re giving them tens of billions in cash.
Each side has also taken a great deal of loss and both sides has all the reasons to stop fighting.
1360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 03, 2023, 04:45:30 AM
Many people think that this bad result is due to the coach factor while I don't think so I think the player is the main factor
Initially, Chelsea could not compete for the players they wanted in the transfer market then injury problems hit the club
Even today's match they are not in the best condition but yes I believe they can win.

I think everyone has some share in the blame of the bad performance recently. From the coach of the team down to the last player, everyone has to share in the responsibility of playing poorly and losing games.
While I think everyone has to share in the frustration witnessed by both players and manager, the bulk of the blame rests solely on the manager. Chelsea has got some wonderful, valuable and talented players who could score goals and win games. So I don’t think the players are the cause of their recent misfortunes.
