There is no reason to fear, because now is the time to cash in on the drop, sell and rebuy lower. The downfall will stop as soon as the dust settles, and prices will recover, so in the longrun everyone is safe, until then, like i said, cash in on the fear and confusion.
The only problem is if the price suddenly shoots up and you keep waiting for cheaper coins. You wouldn't want to miss a bull run.

UK stocks bombed today but I doubt their price will go to zero. Be patient.
Oh no.... Not that argument again. Stock markets are unlikely to go to zero because companies do generate cash flows and there is intrinsic value associated with them. Bitcoin is a different story all together.

Keeping money in a bank is gambling , not saving, anymore. (due to risk of bail-in is bigger than yearly interest)
Putting money in stock market is now free money generation, not investing (since there is no price discovery, and the central bank will buy any drawdown in price)
So its an upside world today, and I hope people realize the real meaning of the words "invest" and "save", because in this economy its not what it first looks like.
The stock markets seem like free money right now, but beware of the inflation demon. Once it strikes, central banks will be loathe to print money at will. This will lead to corrections. The only question is when will this occur.

North Korea is like the British chavs we have over here, they're always trying to pick a fight and will trash talk everybody but in the end they're full of shit, I doubt they'll invade, it's probably going to be Kim Jong Un's way of showing strength for the sake of internal politics. Never forget, for all their nationalism and brainwashing, North Korea is China's bitch, if they step out of line then China would simply cut off support, I doubt they're that closely allied.
It would take something extremely serious to properly trigger a war between north and south Korea again.
Unless the US really screws up, these situations can be handled. Sabre rattling, once in a while, by North Korea is expected.

Lack of understanding in how the brain operates in a depressed state. People do not snap out of it like a hypnotist ending a act.
Suicidal tendencies are usually impulsive. If the moment passes, many people would have resumed their normal lives.

Bitcoin miners play down Ponzi fears with ‘nanny cam’http://nypost.com/2015/08/21/bitcoin-miners-play-down-ponzi-fears-with-nanny-cam/ By displaying the mine and its employees on live video 24/7, Genesis aims to bolster its credentials as a legitimate player in a niche that has been plagued by scams.
“There is a lot of fraud in this market,” Streng told The Post. “Our highest priority to provide transparency to our users.”

I noticed that every bubble begins with a semi to huge sell of.
Is this IT ?
There may not be a bubble, but there will be a bounce back. Sharp fall off in a few hours.... Looks ripe for a correction.

Suicide is illegal because it is a crime to destroy government property.
Ha ha. That is an interesting point of view. If only they allowed you to pay a "fine" and commit suicide, people would really start thinking before attempting such a step.

If the massive amount of longs start to get margin called, it's going to get ugly It has already started getting ugly. Down 10% in 24 hrs is not pretty.

i don't really know, but i am curious that if bitcoin could break through $330 within 2015. because the demand of bitcoin is probably increasing, however, due to the bit license, i am not predicting the larger one. let's see if bitcoin XT helped on the price of bitcoin. are we seeking for more bitcoin users? in that case, we'd probably have the raise.
have your say, mate.
$300 within this year (if it is a steady rise and it stays above that) would probably make me happy. Right now, the price seems to be grinding down.

if they want to die that's their problem. one less human on earth and nobody can blame anyone for that. I'm not complaining.
It is their solution, not their problem. Unfortunately, most governments don't think like you.

Because those of us who seek to introduce Bitcoin to restaurants, clearly are ignorant savages compared to the finesse, cleverness, and diplomacy of those of scoundrels of the past. lol...
And hell yes, the Union Oyster House in Boston is worth a stop.
Ha ha... This was a good one. All of you - make sure you ask whether shops accept Bitcoin (even when you know they don't).

ISIS justification of rape leaves me sickened , outrage beyond words and This is so nauseating, so repugnant, so perverse, so mad, so evil...like many millions, I have no words.
It is not just rape, it is sexual slavery. Something which shouldn't exist in the 21st century.

This is retarded. These sort of things can't be permitted under the banner of religion. If we permit suicide, then tomorrow someone will invent a new religion, and claim that raping women is a part of his religious belief. And as far as I can understand, attempt to suicide is a punishable offense under the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Laws are made by the Government. Religion is a touchy subject. The state of Rajasthan was arguing in favour of allowing Santhara. After nine years of litigation – with the state of Rajasthan fighting as one of the respondents in support of the Jain community – the court eventually ordered that Santhara must be abolished and treated as a criminal offence of attempt to suicide

Getting back to the OP, sorry, but I think this is mostly a non-event for bitcoin. The yuan has risen far more over the last few years and so this devaluation is just taking a little of this back. Plus it is designed to help the Chinese economy and so I don't see it really starting a panic.
After all, if people in Venezeula who have seen their currency become utter worthless against the dollar have not rushed to bitcoin, I don't think the Chinese will. Now if it would just slow down their miners dumping bitcoin onto the market.....
There is competitive devaluation in the region as other countries try to protect themselves from Chinese devaluation. This in turn will have a positive impact on Bitcoin.

I will never do such a thing. This is a very bad idea. I know that it sounds amazing, but it will become boring to sit at home all time on computer. And why don't you create a poll to see the results Why does having a job related to bitcoin mean you sit on your ass all day? Bitcoin is just a currency you can do any sort of project, marketing, etc with it. how to do that without any computer Any explanation For me it is very risky though to quit my job and work 100% for Bitcoin. ironically you can keep your job and go full bitcoin anyway, by manually converting your wage in bitcoin everytime, if you can't do it directly from your job so there is also no need to sit in front of your pc all day, you can do every job you want This is an excellent option, especially if you love your current job. You are going "all-in" on Bitcoin.

It is better to invest, the current saving interest rates aren't enough to cover inflation.
good idea i like to invest my money for future , like buy a GOLD/SILVER, also im holding some Bitcoin for future If you want to invest in something good That would be property/ land Investing in it would return a good deal . Yes buying landing is also a good way or investing money, but there are many problems in buying a new land or home, like registration etc etc. I like investing in gold, silver and bitcoin. Mark Twain's quote - Buy land, they aren't making it any more, will soon apply to Bitcoin as well. Bitcoins are still being generated, but the total supply is limited.

One thing that most people don't understand is that space war could literally kill the human race. A lot of people hope that some day we will be able to escape this planet and inhabit other worlds, and at the rate the population is growing, we might have to if humanity is to survive and not just collapse the ecosystem under the endless demand for resources.
The fear of endless population growth is receding. Already in the developed world as well as China, the fertility rate has fallen below 2. Africa and other parts of the developing world are growing fast, but they will stabilize as well. So the earlier fears of food wars breaking out seem to be misguided.
