When one gets over the minimum payout level and you try to "cash out all" from the HotSwap faucet you are met with this message:
"An error has occured - This transaction requires a 0.0002 fee to be accepted by the bitcoin network. Do you want to add it? (This fee does not go to Coinbase.)"
But there is no option to include that fee...
If one uses a coinbase address, which I am, there was not supposed to be any fee...

It appears so. These faucets really shouldn't allow one to withdraw when there is not enough available but one should always check that balance oneself. Thanks for the report. |

I am wondering why you dont list Bitcoins paid-to-click sites like coinad...
Didn't you, or someone else, ask this exact question not too long ago? Those sites are not faucets. They are not free bitcoin sites. They are "earn" bitcoins sites. If a site like that becomes popular - there is good feedback from the community - the site will be added to the "popular 'earn' bitcoins" category. e.g. Coinad is already on the list. |

Arent most of these sites just scames to get to your wallet?
Most of them just want you to spend some of your time on their site checking out their ads. If any of them want you to give anything you would rather not part with... including personal information... then leave the site, and tell us here of your experience. This list isn't for gambling sites. There are some on the list but only those that give out free BTC with no strings attached. I don't recommend doing anything at any of these sites beyond claiming the small amounts of BTC they will give out for free. Obviously everyone is free to use these sites in any way they wish. But note that being on this list doesn't imply that everything on these sites is worthwhile or safe. Only the 'giving free Bitcoin' aspect has been verified. |

Which of the faucets would you guys recommend to a newbie? Are many of them still going?
This list - in the OP - is checked everyday and updated as necessary. This list 'is' for newbies, so they can avoid all the scam sites, and similar, which is out there. Everyone has their favorites. Try it for yourself. Don't expect to make much BTC at all at all. It is mainly to get newbies used to receiving and using Bitcoin. |

BTC? Or is there yet another alt-coin in town?  But does it give out free Bitcoin? There is a difference between paying people to join a site, where they might be able to "earn" small amounts of BTC for jumping through various hoops, and giving away BTC with no strings attached.
