I would like you to consider readding http://free-btc.cu.cc/#!/faucet
The popups are still there, but appears 10 times less (down from 20% chance of appearing to 2% chance of appearing).

What was unacceptable was the redirection to another page right after one uses the link... not cool even if it happens 0.2 % of the time.

Do you mean after you submitted? Because that's completely removed. I just talked about the popups, and if you don't like them you could just Ctrl+W the few times they appear.

I mean when I clicked on the link to your site it instantly opened a new tab for some other site and took me there.
Maybe on other browsers it would be a pop-up instead of a tab?

And why don't you send the payout instantly to microwallet for users that use their microwallet username, instead of making them wait to build up 5000 satoshis ( which would be dust if sent to a Bitcoin address instead of microwallet )?

but his mining give away is worth less because I give him id and just have 0.00000433 btc in my btcguild account which is nothing for any thing

Well perhaps you should do some mining for yourself instead of just relying on other's giveaways.   Wink

Portnoy I'm afraid I have to stop the Free Mining Giveaway until the "bug" MTGoX found in Bitcoin is "fixed"

Please remove me from the list Cry

Done

( MtGox found a bug in Bitcoin... or MtGox found a bug in MtGox? )

I simply can not afford to mine at this price even for free for others. Cry

That's okay.  You have already helped out a lot of Bitcoin newbie's with your giveaways. Thanks.

If you watch the Free Bitcoin Sites thread you can stay updated on what sites are working
and what ones may be down for various reasons.  These sites are verified before being
added to the list and are checked everyday by me and other followers of the thread.
Being on this site there is the additional safety of the thread being watched by the
moderators.

By following the Free Bitcoin Sites thread one can read the frequent comments about the
experiences others have had with these sites, making it easy - if one doesn't have a lot
of time to devote to checking all the sites out - to determine which ones are worth a visit
and which ones might be a waste of time.

Many of these free BTC site's owners/operators follow the thread as well and will post
themselves when there is something to report about their site. If one has an issue
with any of these sites, or one wants to contact a particular sites owner/operator,
one can ask in the thread to try and get an answer... with some of these sites
this might be the only way of contact.

Beware of copy-cat threads and web pages, who don't take care to check or maintain
their listings and often have dubious sites/links ( sometimes hidden behind url-shortener links...
i.e. you can't be sure what site you are actually going to when you click on their links. )
There are very many sites that have their own lists of free bitcoin sites, but many of them
are scams and are more interested in helping themselves than in helping newbies to get
started in the world of Bitcoin.

The link to the Free Bitcoin Sites thread is in my sig.
The newbie version of the thread can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=90718

I tried a lot of free bit coins site, but this one gave most bitcoins. I collected almost 0.5 BTC per month.
Not very much, but it is most reliable way to earn BitCoins.
http://freebitco.in

you are saying 0.5 not too much I am trying in this site for last a month and have nothing for me its a big amount  Wink

He must mean 0.5 mBTC

bitimg.com and betgods.com both offer the opportunity to earn free bitcoins.

Bitimg is an image hosting service that pays you for hosting images on the service and sharing with your friends.

BetGods has a free trial that allows you to "roll" for a chance to win wallets that might have up to 10 BTC on them.

The phrase "earn free" is an oxymoron. It appears these are 'earn Bitcoin' sites and not 'free Bitcoin' sites.
Such sites are added to the 'popular earn Bitcoin' category only if they get good feedback from the community.
Are these sites popular with the community? Give your opinion here.

Thanks for the submission.

Thanks to ppetrovic68, karlzt and others for the reports. The list has been corrected and updated.

You should check out QoinPro, very simple and easy site.  You get free coins daily just by signing up.

Can anyone confirm this is legit?  Why do they need ones email address?

They use the email address to confirm your account,

If they are just giving out Bitcoin a Bitcoin address is all one should need.

Quote
it also emails you each day to say they have deposited your account...

That should be optional.
935  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Official CaVirtex.com Thread on: February 10, 2014, 06:14:33 PM
All comments here are important as they inform current and potential users what others experience has been with this exchange.

I would like to say I have been trying to get verified since November last year and still have not completed the process.  I have submitted numerous tickets and still have no verification...

Are you a Canadian?  Your profile says your location is Korea.

You should read the documents at Virtex before trying to get verified there:

"Due to the uncertain regulatory environment we are only servicing Canadian Citizens at this time. We do have plans to expand but it is a low priority and we have no time estimates."

Even if you are a Canadian living in Korea it seems you will still have problems because the documents you will need to supply to get verified seem to require one to be residing in Canada.
