1341  Other / Meta / Re: Ban appeal [Legendary] - 4 years passed on: May 07, 2023, 08:27:30 AM
I also question why he wants to return to bitcointalk now, with that specific account (I'm pretty sure he has others, likely still active).  He's probably got plans to put it to use in some way, and my guess is that whatever he's got in mind will either lead to shitposts or some variety of shady activity.  Not that the ban appeal process is a democratic one, but my vote is to let it stand as is.
There are no need to think all these negative things. The account must have a value for them. May be they want to feel proud that they have a legendary account, may be they want to join a good signature campaign to receive better payment, they may want to start a business, anything that could lead the account to a better one than it used to be.

I have $300 in coins I use crypto to buy then transfer to an iPhone app bitwallet and it’s been at 0 confirmations since 8pm now this app is really old but I looked up the transid and it says RBF. How do I just cancel it? The wallet I’m using is very old and I want the coins back plz sorry if this is the wrong section
If you sent the coin from and exchange then there should be a button or link to cancel it but if it's already sent to the blockchain then I do not think you will be able to reverse it since you do not have the private key of the wallet.

You need to wait until the mempool picks up all it's transactions. It will take a while depending on the fees that was set.

I have the prv key to the wallet that it was sent from. Or are you talking about the receiver??
Considering it's bitcoin and you have the private key. In that case, you can cancel the transaction. I did it using Electrum. Download the desktop version. Restore the wallet with the private key. Mouse hover and right click on the mouse. You should be able to see an option that will say Cancel/Cancel transaction kind similar thing. Click there and it will show you what to do.

I did it long ago, and if I remember correctly then it worked too. Try it.

[edit]
Fee per vbyte 84satoshi spent on the tx and it's unconfirmed from the last 7 hours! Mempool is making history LOL

On my way to Anfield in 1 hour. It’ll be my first game since December due to other commitments. Looking forward to it, I have chose a good time to return as we are in better form. I’m expecting a win, hopefully a comfortable one.

Would be good if Man Utd & Newcastle drop points.
We are doing well from the last few matches although our defense is causing us trouble. But hopefully Brentford is not going to be hard for us.

At least if we get Europa we'll be meeting Ajax + Juventus, haha.
I wonder if many people care much about Europa LOL

Bad start today. 3 points [If I get my number correct] from 4 matches. Not good.
1345  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit disables account and seizes funds (10.2k)! on: May 06, 2023, 03:20:28 PM
This these started to looks not so good. BitcoinGirl.Club, has you got any reply from Razer? Their last online activity was on 2nd of May, means they should have been aware and reading your PM. If they didn't reply you, you'll be the third user they deliberately ignore.
They did not reply me [I don't want a reply too] but I was expecting them to response in this and the other case against them. Since there is a chance for me to lose the track, I will leave a neutral tag just to remind me in the future if more accusations are coming from users and they are continuing ignoring the accusations.

A business representative can have a lot of other things to take care so I will not be too harsh to leave a negative yet. In the forum we need projects to work freely without feeling pressure on the other hand we also need to see how happy their clients are. Too many bad experience will not be a good indicator for a casino / sportsbook.

1346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Multisig and paper wallet on: May 06, 2023, 03:14:27 PM
Then you're turning your 2 of 3 into a 3 of 3. Imaging one of the seeds is in a safe deposit box in another country.
May be I don't understand you but I agree with Charles-Tim here. The seeds are what the OP needs to take care.
Obviously, you can recover your funds when you have all 3 keys. However, the point of using 2 of 3 multisig, is that you can recover your funds without the third private key. I didn't want to type a lot on mobile last night, luckily hosseinimr93 explained it nicely already:
Assuming you have seed phrases A, B and C, for generating your 2 of 3 multi-signature wallet and spending fund from that, you need:

Seed A, Seed B, MPK C
or
Seed B, Seed C, MPK A
or
Seed A, Seed C, MPK B

(MPK = master public key)
Didn't I say the same? But that's not my point. My point was one does not need to keep the Master Public key saved as they can find the keys when they try all three seeds one by one and each time they will get each Master Key. Then combine the master key and seed to recover the wallet. For a 2 of 3 wallet, two set is enough.
1347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Multisig and paper wallet on: May 05, 2023, 01:21:44 AM
I can write the 3 seeds on a paper with a pen but what about the pub keys Huh
Too many characters and a huge risk of mistyping.

Any solution/idea ?
You can have digital copy of the pub keys. Anyone who have access of all the Master Pubic key does not mean they can restore the main wallet. As per my understanding it will restore a watch only wallet. With a watch only wallet they can not move the coin so you are safe.

Seeds are what you need to keep very safe. Worry about the seeds.

You'll need them to be able to use 2 out of 3 sets of seed phrases.
What I mean is that he has the seed phrase, the seed phrase can be used to always setup the wallet and spend from it. It is true that the public key is needed for to make transaction, but the seed phrase can always generate the public key and the private key needed for spending.
Then you're turning your 2 of 3 into a 3 of 3. Imaging one of the seeds is in a safe deposit box in another country.
May be I don't understand you but I agree with Charles-Tim here. The seeds are what the OP needs to take care. Even if he lose the Public Key [all of them], still he is safe. With individual seeds when you try to restore the wallet the first Master Public key will be it's own Public key. This way you can collect all three public key and restore the wallet.
1348  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinplay CONFISCATING 291mbtc of fair NBA winnings on: May 05, 2023, 01:16:34 AM
Antillephone is a horrible Licenseholder and does nothing to protect players from dishonest companies.

I know you're angry about the whole situation, but you can't just throw around sentences like this. Every Curacao license holder will stop dealing with an operator that has constant issues with players, and Antillephone is not an exception.

I also see that your default location is in Netherlands, were you KYC verified and are your documents german or dutch?

I am not allowed to say that Antillephone is a horrible licensor when they simply pass on lies from the casino they licensed? And when I ask about clarification about those lies they ignore me....coincidence huh?

No, I was not KYC verified. My passport is Dutch and my driving license is German but that is not the issue here.
You are creating doubt in mind, I am sorry I removed my support from the flag you created. It looks to me the whole story was not said completely. It does not surprise me though. There are many cases where many of us were bluffed by abusive gamblers like you. They see this place is a good chance for clearing their abuse.

Curacao itself is a joke when it comes to gaming licenses and judging by the email he got, Antillephone is as well.  I know, big changes are supposedly in the works, but the only memorable action I've ever seen Curacao take is to defend 1xbit, the longest running scam casino, after they were forced into bankruptcy, and attack the one who investigated them.  I don't think it's a coincidence that Coinplay is very likely a 1xbit franchise.
In other words all sportsbook who have Curacao license are absolutely joke and the governing body who authorized Curacao license are jokes too? Let's not understand a thing the way it benefits us.
1349  Economy / Lending / Re: Hello i need 0.03 btc loan on: May 05, 2023, 01:01:26 AM
i'm sick and tired of these accusations  !!

you tell me i'm a scammer and have alts

this is my ONLY account

if you have proof deliver this  but you can't so stop !
I am assuming you are a good man. Why don't you have a real life friend who can even lend you $500?
You have nothing to offer, no reason to come back which makes it easy to conclude you will just disappear after receiving even a $10 bill. You are a scammer for sure if even you don't have alt [very unlikely]
1350  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it time for Old Signature campaigns to redesign? on: May 05, 2023, 12:48:19 AM
What do you think?
Does not matter.
I am wearing Stake signature and I think it's one of the best too. It's all about the personal feeling you have for a brand. On the other hand, when a signature or brand image becomes older it is able to create better spot in your mind. The Chipmixer is a good example.
1351  Other / Meta / Re: does the speculation board need live bitcoin price update? on: May 02, 2023, 06:29:24 AM
Why is there no live bitcoin price update in the forum.
I need a website, do you accept bitcoin? How much you want for a simple five page static page? Show me your portfolio before sharing the contents.
I need my grocery, do you accept bitcoin? How much you want for 1kg potato?
Do you accept bitcoin? I like this t-shirt.

The value for the service and goods are simply paid in exchange of bitcoin. Bitcoin is the price you are paying.
1352  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can we trust 3rd party Slot providers? on: May 02, 2023, 06:20:44 AM
My question is.... can we trust these 3rd party Slot providers? Who are auditing their games and who are checking if the advertised RTP are being configured on their servers?

Let's discuss....  Huh
About trust and things? The gambling industry is doing business. A piece of software is easy to manipulate especially when it is not open source. So no matter if that is an in-house slot from a highly trusted casino or third party integration, you always have the chance to lose big money and become a victim of manipulation.

Doing business is a normal thing enterprises do but their interest is always paramount which we all know so they can go to any extent to protect it without thinking what it would cost them as long as they have a way to cover their shaddy deal that is ok for them. So manipulation of softwares at their own benefit to the detriment of their players is not a thing of worry to them as they find and derive pleasure in doing such. This makes me believe that games lost by bettors or gamblers are not just a lose game but a manipulative one from casinos as a result of their position in setting up the game for the player, manipulating game softwares and doing everything necessary to make sure they gain at all costs.
While it's obvious they manipulation the piece of software when you are using it but there is another thing which is the unlimited supply of money that they have.

A gambler never have an unlimite supply of money. When he is winning he is happy and wants to win more. You can not win all the time. Luck is a thing and it works for everyone. When you are lucky you are winning your chances and making profits but when the luck is not with you, you are losing. You try to chase your loss but then run out of your budget. Stop it for the day. You continue the cycle and in every cycle you are stopping when you are running out of your budget. Ultimately gambling industry is making money from it.

If your mindset was like in a session you will lose x amount or win y amount before you end the session. Have the numbers realistic. Whichever reach first stop the session. So if you lose x then stop the session. Come back for the next session with your scheduled time like you do your job. If you are lucky to reach y then also stop the session without becoming greedy for the next penny.

1353  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What is the most that governments can do if they decide to regulate wallets? on: May 02, 2023, 06:08:48 AM
If they could do anything to stop bitcoin then they would already done it. They tried it for the last 12 years and still trying and the possibility for them to success is becoming slimmer.

For regulating crypto the best approach from the governments will be to work together with crypto. Accept it and work together with crypto entrepreneurs instead of forcing them to not to use it or making it hard to use it.
I do not know, but in the end developers are human beings, no matter how much they love decentralization or privacy, many have families and friends and will not try to continue developing illegal ideas, see what happened with Wasabi wallet or mining pools that have ban US blacklists bitcoin addresses or even theymos and mixing services.
We don't know what is going to happen in the future but so far so good. Government will always try to keep things harder that does not give them full control. Crypto is such thing for them. But since we have passed 12 long years, we can expect few more coming decades to continue and ultimately a good ecosystem to develop. Crypto Bitcoin is a currency, a virtual idea to trade goods and services. The market decides it's value unlike a group of people who have given power.

Regarding mixers, blacklist addresses?
When you are using your money for crime then you will be targeted and justice will be served. But you don't ban your currency just because someone used it for human trafficking.

Why don't you continue this in your other topic?
May be he is seeking some attention.

OP, you had plagiarism case. Many accounts were banned and many were receiving signature ban. But 4 years should be enough for salvation however honestly, I do not see you have a chance. You should accept it.
1356  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Scammed? on: May 01, 2023, 03:35:28 PM
I mean that I don´t use a sticky note app at all to store my passwords.
I believe I downloaded it from the "official" Electrum website
I have not given the seed phrase to anyone
I use a virus system.
Whatever security measurement you had, it was not enough. Somehow an unknown person got access of your seed phrase and they took the coins from you. You should not hope for anything. Sorry for your loss. When you are in crypto this is the risk you take unless you are knowledgeable enough to protect your virtual asset.

I suggest you to learn from this experience and in the future either use multi-sig wallet or use a hardware wallet. $5k+ worth of btc is a good amount and a hardware wallet would cost you not more than $100.

Check this. The same happened with another user recently.

This is where it was compromised. In fact any hot wallet can not be trusted.

Amount Scammed: 0.015 BTC
Thankfully it was not a fortune. Sorry for your loss brother.

P.S: I hope the large amount which you consider as your asset are safe in a multi sig wallet or hardware wallet. If it's not yet then your first priority will be to send them to a safe wallet.

1359  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why do some people pay illogically high fees for transactions? on: May 01, 2023, 08:30:59 AM
Is this done on purpose by some miners to increase the overall transaction fees and collect more fees?
One of the reason I can think of is, not knowing how to set the fees. These days almost all wallet software have feature to adjust fees. I use Electrum always and most of the time the default fees are higher than the minimal fees which is fine to get the next block so knowing to adjust fees is very important for anyone who is in bitcoin.

Another reason could be, not aware of what fees to set but in this particular case it does not seem the suggestion from the wallet software was followed too. 653 sat/vB seems too high to suggest. The sender could be testing something. Or he missed type the fees field when he was trying to adjust the fees.

Usually I noticed gambling companies do not care about fees. They have fixed fees set for withdrawals and sometimes it's too high than the required fees for a block.
1360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk IPL Prediction Pool & Discussion 2023 on: May 01, 2023, 08:19:55 AM

I'm the one to join along with you, not having a single point so far in the 5th round. Today I believed somehow I'll get few points. Finally in both the matches the results were completely upside down. Chennai lost the match at the last ball and Mumbai players gave an unexpected performance winning against Rajasthan Royals chasing 212 runs. Already 5 matches of the 5th round over. More five matches left for us to make few points from the 5th round.
We have two match today and I have no idea who I picked. Nothing is going to change for me I guess. So if anyone wants then I can tell what I picked 😂. Let's see if we are able to earn any point.

Yesterday at some point I wanted MI to win. The David guy played a monster innings and he deserves it. Holder was just below average in his last three balls. He needs to learn how to pitch a ball LOL
