1341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New to mining and need a little advise! on: November 03, 2017, 12:17:55 AM
Regardless of what you mine, your electricity price is 3x as much I would personally feel confortable mining with.
So what you mean is that i shouldn't even think about trying with these prices? :/

that's up to you, if you could take the profit you get from these cards.

basically, based from whattomine calculator, you can have profit at todays difficulty below per day:

 Nicehash-CryptoNight
CryptoNight

$5.56

Nicehash2
Nicehash-NeoScrypt
NeoScrypt

$2.72

Sib2
Sibcoin(SIB)
X11Gost

$2.42

Of course, this could vary anytime, depends on price and difficulty changes.
1342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash CryptoNight ? on: November 03, 2017, 12:02:16 AM
I have just download NiceHash Miner to mine CryptoNight . But there is no option for CryptoNight.
I see 2 algorithms only.
Is there any other way to sell CryptoNight hashrate to NiceHash ?

use other miner like Claymore, then point your pool to nicehash.

Ex.

1343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Many AMD GPU's available. Are you still buying? on: November 02, 2017, 11:11:00 PM
I dont recomend building rigs. You lose money because bitcoin is in the tiping point and soon start fast low.

For now building and purchasing new hardware is not cool, and its not due to btc tiping point, we are not mining btc directly anyways.

Bitcoin is big scam and I dont recomend to mine, buy or own it. If you want play risky buy atleast ethereums.

Funny, I just gain money in buying btc rather than buying ETh.
1344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining VS ASIC mining on: November 02, 2017, 06:47:12 AM
If it brings so many benefits, why doesn't core come with a proposal to implement GPU mining in Bitcoin? Does it say something about the potential and future of Bitcoin Gold?

Not So many benefits actually, it does have some pro's over ASIC's, and decent resale value when worst comes worst that mining is already not profitable.

When it comes to GPU/ASIC mining, has it always been profitable? (or is there moments, when there's no point in mining?)

month of september has been a struggle month when ETH difficulty spikes, it is nearly impossible to have profits, considering high electricity rates in my locations.
1345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Going To build a rig But Need help on: November 02, 2017, 05:16:08 AM
6GB 1060's will do better than the 3GB 1060's if you are mining ETH.  Not sure on other coins.  Also, the 6GB card will have better resale value.  Make sure you get a spare USB key with the OS already loaded and ready to go.  This is good in case something goes wrong with the original.

If you feel that this is something you are going to do for a while then please get yourself a Power Supply Tester.  They are cheap enough and will save you so much time in the future if your system starts to fail.

Good luck!

You can still mine ETH? I thought that there was a hardfork and that Erthereum is now POS, Proof of Stake?? Or am I wrong?  Huh

Slightly wrong, you can still mine at least a year hopefully, have you heard about BYZANTIUM Fork?

1347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to improve the efficiency of Mining on: November 02, 2017, 01:58:53 AM
I have many questions in my mind. What is the affect of internet connection speed,

Mining doesn't require High speed internet bandwidth, just ensure continuous connectivity.

Quote
should I use a pentium (cheap) cpu or an İ7 for dual (GPU+CPU) mining,

CPU mining is not as good as GPU, if you have i7 already in place you can take some juice out of it, budget wise no need to buy a new i7 as Cheap CPU can basically run your miner.

Quote
can use nicehash miner with claymore at the very same time, which pools should be included as alternative....

Yes, pools will always depend on the coins you want to mine.

Would someone inform me about the effect of internet speed to the mining?

Many thanks in advance.

Hello im not to familiar with miners, i was wondering if anyone could help i wanted to grab a couple Nvidia GTX 1070Ti's test them out i was wondering if miners will have a hard time picking up new cards as i use EWBF miner or if it just reads it off the PC any help would be appreciated thanks alot.

Nope, it is much easier than other AMD cards that requires bios mod. Just install them properly with drivers and proper Clocks in MSI after burner then you're good to go.
1349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I'm Newbie in Crypto, Any Miner Recommend?? on: October 31, 2017, 07:21:45 PM
Is High-end graphics card must for mining?

For long term mining, this is inevitable, however if you have existing card that can do mining then its fine, consider your power cost.

I started on Minergate as well. Nicehash is better, especially if you just want BTC. I will admit, though, I keep Minergate around for times when more difficult miners give me a hard time. It pretty much always runs, so at least I can scrape in some Bytecoin or something while I fix my main software.

Thanks for your advice

good thing about NH is that, pays thru btc,

btc price increased rapidly lately

earnings also increase
1350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is the new era of currency? on: October 31, 2017, 06:54:58 PM
Yup.... BITCOINS are the new era currency because it has replaced other currencies

Really, I wonder what other currencies you're talking about. as I see it, it doesn't replaced any currencies.

1351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Boost for AMD professional cards on: October 31, 2017, 05:44:50 PM
Hello!

Somebody knows if I would be able to boost an AMD professional graphics card? (Frequency, undervolt and so on)

For Mining, Yes its possible, how to do it will always depend on the card

for RX480/470 580/570

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1882656.0

Other AMD Cards

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1676474.0

Quote
I mean is it the same as for normal graphics cards for gaming? Or I can use it just with factory characteristics?

So it means that it is a bit harder to boost the professional card but it is possible in msi?

entirely different, it requires bios mod
1352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1070 not detected in claymore on: October 31, 2017, 05:24:44 PM
Hey guys, I’m running a rig with 8X1070 in Windows 10 and mining ETH + DCR. things were going smoothly but suddenly the claymore detecting only 7 instead of 8 GPUs.

Sometimes when I restart the rig it detects all 8 but the entire system crashes in few mins. But when it detectes only 7 then the rig is stable and running very well.

Any idea what the problem is and Any suggestion ok how to fix it please

Identify the Faulty GPU, try to isolate GPU's one by one, usually bad risers are the culprits. you may also check the logs to see any behavior before it crashes. from there you will have an idea what to do.

Not particularly, I'm actually looking into getting another R9 390 to go crossfire. Which will benefit my mining, too. I'll have a read into those and see what's what, and I'll check out the benchmark when I get home tonight. Cheers for the quick response. What kind of degredation over time will I be looking at with my card too, will it greatly affect the lifespan of the card?

Some useful thread about lifespan and card degradations.

and about hashrates, power consumption and Clocks read here

I don't think crossfire helps with mining. I intentionally disabled crossfire for my mining rig.

He intend to use the GPU's for gaming, at the same time mining when idled.
1355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX470 Very Low hashrate on: October 31, 2017, 01:05:27 PM
Ok it worked for like 10 mins, now I'm back to low hasrates....  Huh

What’s your temp after 10mins? Are you using risers? Whats your psu?

Cards may degrade hashrate when they are too hot, is your card headless?
1356  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is a good investment now, because... on: October 30, 2017, 09:31:48 AM
Its a good investment, because nowadays its value is stable and good to buy now as its value is increasing that gives a good opportunity to some investors to have a good profit in the future. Also, gives advantages to those jobless people they can earn money as long as they can work harder. Smiley
I never saw bitcoin is stable, in fact the price is very unpredictable since it can dump and pump anytime.
We are just lucky now to see a good price increase so we should always consider that it's a good time to sell as eventually the price will dump sooner or later. It's a cycle but we can make money with this if we follow the trend.

If its not stable, price should’nt go as higher as today, more people predicted that price would increase at the end of the month and probably this year..it came true.. seems bitcoin price is predictable anyways.
1357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.1 (Windows/Linux) on: October 30, 2017, 08:40:48 AM
Hello, Guys. I'm asking for help as I got stuck with a problem. I read through the topic and tried many things. but didn't work out.

I have two farms mining ETH+DCR for 6 and 4 cards. The problem with a second farm.

I have 4 RX570 cards, motherboard ASrock z97. It used to give me 100 mh/s stable. However, then miner started to crash with the message:
"NO AMD OPENCL or NVIDIA CUDA GPUs found, exit".

ok... uninstall drivers, update cards with Crimson ReLive beta Blockchain Driver, patch drivers, restart and launch miner again.

The problem arises exactly in 120 minutes again... not 119 or 121, it is exactly two hours before it crashes again. The monitor blinks a couple of time. speed goes to 0, and the end.

I tried to repatch cards via bios (atiflash), played with graphic cards, nothing works. The only thing I noticed that if I launch 3 cards from 4... they work fine for a relatively long time without crashes. Notable, that I tried each of the card, and they seem to be normal.

However, when i start all 4... it works only 120 minute and "NO AMD OPENCL...".

Please, let me know if there are any ideas, I can provide you with more info, whatever you ask.

I don't have a solution, but if it's really exactly 120 minutes, one workaround is to set the rig to auto-reboot after 119 minutes.

I've used that as a workaround on rigs running Win 10 Ent trial, which is good for 90 days... after 90 days, it expires, and will shut down after 60 minutes. So I set the machine up to reboot in 59 minutes. With a rig on SSD, it actually mines 98% as much as usual despite doing the reboots, so it's a good workaround until you have time to fix it properly.

Try to change the riser of the fourth gpu, if still persist, check the psu power rating, been on that, my psu is not enough powering up 4th card when dag is getting bigger along the way.
1358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: my vertical mining case/frame on: October 30, 2017, 08:31:15 AM
Looks a great way to minimise the footprint of the rig. My only concern would be as heat rises the upper cards are then becoming hotter than the bottom.

If you have vertical fans along the side of the case the heat wont have time to rise.

Then you have to put fans in everycard along side in order to avoid heats contact from upper card right? Seems not practical to me.
1359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need mining suggestion on: October 30, 2017, 08:19:51 AM
Can anybody suggest me the best GPUs available out there to mine altcoins like monero, ethereum etc. I need the best gpu with more hash rate and less maintainence. Since I have decided to spend money to buy gpu, I want to buy the best in that category. And also is it possible to mine 1 monero daily and how many gpu cards are required for that? Please write your suggestions here.

It will always depend on your favored coin to be mine, For long term, go for high end gpu’s, vegas for AMD and TI’s 1070/1080 for nvidia, pricing may be slightly higher for nvidias but will give more option for altcoin mining, for profits, you may check whattomine.com.

1360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH low hash with RX 580 17 MH/s :( on: October 27, 2017, 10:59:50 PM
Hello guys

I have build new mining rig with the following HW :

Motherboard - Asus primer Z270-A - with the latest bios update {version 1009 }
* modify in bios for GEN2

PSU - Corsair AX1200i
GPU - SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX 580 8GD5 ---- > One card only for now.
RAM - 4GB
Windows 10 latest version 1709

For some reason I'm getting only 17 MH/s ! out of the box with out flash the GPU .

is it normal if do not flash my GPU ?
form what is saw after the flash people said that they  have 24 mh/s  and it go up to 27 mh/s ~
but Im to far from this number ,
what should i do ?
I will appreciate any suggestion
thx in advance

Seems not normal, try these, Increase your clock thru wattman or install msi afterburner, give at least 1200 core clock and 2150 mem clock.
